I Am That Content Creator Podcast
Ep #126 Why Your Claude AI Outputs Are Still SLOP: Stop Prompting. Start Scaffolding.
Use Left/Right to seek, Home/End to jump to start or end. Hold shift to jump forward or backward.
You opened Claude. You typed something in. You got back something so beige and generic you closed the tab and went back to doing it yourself.
That's not a you problem. That's a foundation problem.
In this episode, Kristen drives home from the shops and breaks down the one step every Claude beginner skips, and why it's the reason your outputs still sound nothing like you. If you're a content creator, female founder, or woman 40+ trying to figure out how to actually start with Claude and make it work for your business, this is the episode that changes that.
What You'll Learn
- Why Claude setup matters more than any prompt you'll ever write
- How to build your brand voice into Claude so every output sounds like you wrote it
- What AI scaffolding actually is and why it's the missing step for content creators and female founders
- Why multi-passionate and ADHD entrepreneurs need a different entry point into AI for women
- How to stop wasting Claude credits on slop and start getting outputs you'd actually use
- What Kristen and Mia are teaching inside their Her AI Advantage workshop, step by step, no jargon
The Honest Bit
Kristen watched a vineyard get ripped out of the ground near her home and had a moment. AI isn't stopping. The question is whether you're going to wait and see what happens to your business, or decide right now to learn it properly.
This episode is for the woman who's chosen the second option and just needs someone to slow it down and show her where to start.

SPEAKER_01Okay, you know it's been a while between podcasts when you've hit record about three or four times and the slop that comes out your mouth is what just happened to me. It's very rare that I kind of stumble enough to go, oh, this is terrible, I must be quiet. But I did. Anyway, I'm cruising home from the shopping right now talking to you. This is by far my favourite time to chat to you on the podcast. And yes, should we be in a podcast studio which is so professional that records us in video and all that, cool, we could be. But if you've been around the bush with us before, you know that Mia and I are multi-passionate, multi-brilliant, and need to just bring you information as that comes to us. And I am a manifesting generator, she is a generator, and we are responders by trade. And by trade, I mean that's part of our human giant human giant, human design, is we are responders, which means we respond to what's going around us, and that's kind of what fuels us in terms of what we like to learn, what we like to share, and what we like to talk to you about on the podcast. So that's why it's been a while, because we've actually been responding to a lot that's going on around us. And the biggest thing is if you're in our world, amazing. Um, great. And if you're new to our world, hello, I'm Kristen, the co-host of the I Am That Content Creator podcast. We are the Hive Hub Collective, we run the Multi Brilliant Project, and we have an arm of our businessal branch that we play in. If you're part of the Multi-Brilliant Club and the Multi Brilliant Project, you will understand that our core value for the community there is to help you build a core offer. That offer that is your foundation, your strength, your core offer. And that usually we hope is a community that pays you recurring revenue, monthly recurring revenue, so that as a multi-passionate human being, you have the opportunity to play in what we call the branches. You know, if you've you've got that root offer that's holding you firm, keeping you strong, it's about who you are, it's built on your niche audience and it's built by your dynamic personal brand. Now, the point of that is in these branches we can play. You may do events, you may have other arms of your business, you may just want to do something different that is created, that inspires you. And one of the branches that we are playing, that we have been playing in, God, Kristen, this is why I haven't done the podcast for a while. I can't get my words out. One of the branches we have been playing in recently, and by recently I mean we've invested heavily recently in really growing this part of our business, and that is around AI. So we have Hive AI, which is one of the branches in our business that we're working with women in AI and helping helping you to understand and slow it down, not so much understand it because look, we can all keep up with it as quick as it's going. It's good for us all to kind of keep up with it if you're interested in it, of course. And me and I are incredibly interested in it because I think it's fair to say it's moving so fast and it has such a dynamic impact on us as human beings, us as our businesses, that I think it would be very naive of any of us not to partake in the curiosity around that. And whatever that might be for you is going to be different for everyone. But personally, we've invested in not so much an AI coach, but we've invested in programs that have shown us this um the tools in which we can become AI architects in our business. And that means allowing us to understand how to use AI to better ourselves as humans, how to use AI run by humans in terms of, we don't think this is a conversation about AI's going to take over the world and none of us will ever have jobs. It's more about, okay, there are things we do in our business every single day, things that you do over and over again. And I'm just curious to ask you right now, if you could just think of one for a minute, that you do constantly in your business, in your life that drives you insane, to the point of like, this is the most mundane shit I do and it's killing me, right? It's something that when I do that mundane task, that mundane task might be every morning when you wake up, you sit down with your coffee, whether you're in a job that you go to a workplace, or whether you are looking to get out of that job and build your own business, or whether you are a solopreneur or small business running it all yourself. I'm just gonna guess. And this for me is one is when we wake up in the morning, we have our cup of coffee, we sit down and we go to the emails. Straight away, we hop off to the emails and just read them all. And what that does to me personally, and even to Mia, is it just takes, it's a redirection of creativity, which means I sit down there and first thing in the morning, that is like my go time. I get up at five o'clock before the kids because I work from five till about seven when they wake up, and that is heaven on earth to me. I have my cup of coffee, I sit in the office with the lights off, and I just work and I play and I get creative and I do all the jobs that I know at 10 a.m. once the kids are at school, I've done my little workout, and Mia and I sit down to do our work. That I know that at that 10 a.m. time slot, my creativity that was at 5 p.m., 5 a.m., sorry, will be gone. And so I know that I have to maximise that time, which is amazing because I I just love being creative. And that might be being creative in ideas, that might be being creative in Canberra, that might be being creative with the people that we work with and what's going on in their business. And just I just play then. I play, I love it, I'm obsessed, favorite time of the day, right? Even to the point where it's Mother's Day tomorrow when as I'm recording this, and Mother's Day will be on Sunday. And my kids are like, hey mum, guess what? Like, we'll get up in the morning and you can stay in bed and have a cup of coffee and blah, blah, blah. Which is amazing. Like, so beautiful that that's what they're thinking. But my mind is going, um, can can like if if you ask me, I'd really like to get up at 5 a.m. like normal, play in my creativity, and at 7am when y'all wake up, I'll go back to bed and we'll just pretend. But I also know that would break their heart. So I'm I'm gonna be a good mama, Mother's Day, and just sit in bed and let them do what they do best and spoil me. So that's fine. But my point is, that's the stuff I love to do. So Mia and I thought, okay, what do we do in our business? Even like we're a partnership, and so there's more that we do, like one of us will take a job that the other one doesn't. So things get done in a different way, fine. But what do we do over and over again? And I would have to say that when we come back after school drop-off, I might go a workout, I might not do a workout, and and we want to get creative, but we kind of go, oh, gotta check the emails. So one of us is checking emails and replying, or one of us is looking through things that the the accountant needs, and just the jobs that look, if I'm gonna be brutally honest, oh, they're a bit mundane and boring as fuck. And it's not that the emails are boring, it's more that like you just get so much in your inbox so you're going through it and you're then you're applying. And it's the brain power that I don't want to use up and waste my creativity, if you know what I mean. Which, which, if I explain it another way, is imagine if I've got my Claude account, Claude AI, we're a little bit obsessed with it right now. If your algorithm is algorithming, anything like mine and certainly like me is, we're just getting served at left, right, and center, which is why we jumped on this train and invested in learning more about it, because Claude has come a long way. And there are lots of things that Claude can do. It can be a co-host and work for you, it can schedule things, it can create websites, it can code, it can vibe code, it can do all the things that Mia and I have been heads down learning like fuckery to help you with. But the thing that has come back to us is if you do not know in your business what you do over and over and over and over again repetitively, then AI is a little bit redundant from the starting point of how to implement it in your business. We're going right back to the start here in terms of, you know, our big passion and we have a workshop coming up, Her AI Advantage. The details are in the show notes. You can come along to that. It's two days. One day you can come and we're going to help install your brand voice inside Claude. And then the two-day, the VIP, that is going to be you in that VIP session. That's the second day. And the second day we're going to be talking about what is one of our favorite topics. And it's around building the scaffolding. So building all the stuff that using Claude to vibe code and create websites and write copy and all of those things and all the prompts and all the algorithm is algorithming for us now that's shooting out. Get this prompt and this prompt and this prompt and this helps this, they're all amazing. But what we understand fundamentally, and what we have been investing in understanding, and what we have seen is the missing gap in the market. Well, not so much the market, but the missing gap in the education that you're getting is you're getting bombarded with all the fucking shiny shit. And as a multi-brilliant, multi-passionate entrepreneur, the shiny stuff, if you've got ADHD, like I'm undiagnosed, me is 100% diagnosed, the shiny stuff, the hyper focus is real, right? And so we're getting served all these amazing things Claude can do, and we think, shit, we better do those things. And we can do those things, but what we want to help you with is slow this whole thing down so that you can implement it in your business properly. So that when you actually go to use Claude and you write in something like, I need an Instagram hook for my ideal customer. I'm writing in Kristen's language, look at her brand voice, go and find this and this and this and this skill and write from that place, and it's all in a project. There are things that we'll go through. So I don't want to bombard you with the jargon that is annoying. But basically, then what we're teaching is the scaffolding that holds that steady. So that when you put that prompt in, you're gonna get back pure gold because it is you. It understands you deeply in a way that if you open Chat GPT or you open Claude now, and even if you've been using Claude or ChatGPT for a while, it's getting to understand you. The prompts that you put in, that exact same prompt, for example, write me a viral hook that speaks to my ideal customer. You remember who my ideal customer is. Could you try and do that? Whatever you prompt it with, it's never going to be as good as if you've implemented the scaffolding into Claude. And so when we saw that as we were learning this and as we were deep diving and doing the education and really going into how this is going to help us in business, we both just went, well, hang on a minute. Nobody's actually slowing this down enough so that we know how you build inside Claude projects and how you build a skill that knows you enough that you can turn to at any point and put a prompt in that's a maybe a little bit vague, or you know, maybe it's not the perfectly written prompt. But because the Claude scaffolding, the brain, the whole system understands you, it can give you what you've asked for rather than give you what some would call AI slop. And that's the part that I think excites me and I more than anything, because we know that if you've been doing this in business for a long time and you've been in business, or maybe you are just starting, but you've got a brand voice, you've got an idea of what you want, you've you've got these assets, but they're everywhere. Some of them are in the Google Docs, and some of them are on your screen, and some a designer gave you, and some you paid a marketing expert to do, and some you did 10 years ago, and some you blah blah blah. Like it's it's everywhere. If it's anything like mine was, and and Mia and I's business was, is bloody everywhere, right? So what we have done is set up this scaffolding that in the two-day workshops, the her AI Advantage workshops, in the VIP, we will be giving you the Google Doc swipe files that you can use to implement into Claude. Now, in these swipe files, they're put in folders because look, my background, even though I'm a little, even though I say a little bit chaotic, even though I'm chaotic and around me things happen like a whirlwind. I have been running events and I've done weddings on our vineyard. For those that know me, I own a vineyard and we do wedding events. And I am a badass project manager. Like I have things in folders, they are structured, they are clean, they are clear. Mia may be listening to this laughing, like, dude, have you seen the Canva files? Because they are not well laid out. I'm getting to that, right? I my creative brain moves a little bit too fast. But the back end stuff, that if I've got a project to do and I have something that I need to execute, and I know what that execution is, and I know what I need to get out of it, and I understand that part, I can build the scaffolding incredibly well. I remember when I did my own wedding planning and I did this full project management book at the time and created this whole book, and everybody in my family was like, holy shit, I had no idea this was your skill set. I was like, I know, because sometimes I feel chaotic, but I got systems, baby. And so what nobody is talking about that again we're bringing into this AI Advantage workshop is we are gonna give you some of those swipe files, and what's in them is inside the folders are what you need to read and go, okay, it might be the brand voice, for example. That's day one, you're gonna get the brand voice, but you're gonna get the prompt that we're gonna teach you what the brand voice is and where you do it and how you put it in, but you'll get a prompt that then you can take it to your own Claude and have a full-blown conversation. Let yourself be weird, let yourself chat away, and the prompt that we have created is gonna ask you enough questions to make sure that Claude completely understands your brand voice to a point where then you can go, sweet. You'll take that prompt and everything's in there. Like you don't have to do anything but just answer the questions Claude's giving you. And then at the end, you can take that prompt and you're gonna copy that prompt, you're gonna put it back in your scaffolding because we need to keep a hold of these things. Remember, we're project managing, we're building the scaffolding. So you've always got that prompt. You're gonna take it back and you're gonna paste it in there, right? Your scaffolding, because mine and yours are different. And then what's gonna happen is you can also create a project inside Claude or a skill inside Claude that you put your brand voice in and basically say to Claude, now you've got everything. You need to refer to this at all times and speak as me using my brand voice. And we've got other things that we'll talk you through how to speak to Claude because you want to speak to it like we're speaking now, right? Well, we're not, I'm speaking at you, my bad. We've got that, and the other scaffoldings that we will be giving you as the VIPs is the business brain. There's so much in that business brain that you can add, but we've put it in the folders. So you are literally taking a Google Doc of why do I need this? Oh, it's written there for me. There's a prompt. Put that prompt into your Claude. And if you go, oh, that's not very good, it's not asking the right questions. Cool. You keep asking, you keep building off it, and we will show you how to do that live. This is not some bro techie thing. This is, you know, honestly, for women 40 plus who are like, I want to be in the discussion, I want to be in this stuff, but it's really overwhelming and I don't know where to start. Start here. And so that is what we have been excited about because we are conscious of the conversations that are happening around is AI ethical? Should we be doing it? We're gonna lose businesses, we're gonna lose people won't have jobs and all of that. And I said to me the other day, and I even spoke this out to Claude, and it gave me an incredible response. But I said to me the other day, I was driving home from school, we're dropping the kids up at school. I live in a vineyard, and the wine industry is not going well at the moment. It's absolutely, if I'm honest, shithouse. Um, and it's really, really sad because we own a vineyard and we are part of that industry, and and across industries and farming, I understand that, you know, when you farm, there are certain things that are going to happen, and you know, farming is farming. They said buy a farm, and it would be fun, they say. And I'm driving past, there's vineyards around us that are starting to pull out vines. But I drove past this one vineyard, and they had this huge digger, and this digger was just ripping through this vineyard, just pulling these vines out. They those vines might have been there for 10, 20, 30, 40 years, maybe more. And they were just ripping it out. And, you know, there's people all around, there's contract workers and all of this standing around helping them out. There's fires in the back where they're burning the the vineyards that they'd pulled out a bit earlier, but this that's a huge amount of acreage just gone. And you know, I was driving home and I got really emotional because I thought we may be in that boat in a couple of years or we have to go, shit, do we pull out our vines? And then that's gonna cost us a shitload of money to do that, or we keep them in, and it's gonna cost a shitload of money to keep it in there when the the vintage that we had this year, that it was nothing compared to last year's. Like the wine industry is is really, really, really hard. And as I'm watching these vines getting pulled out, I thought to myself, you know what? I've got a couple of choices here. There are people everywhere talking about AI is gonna take jobs and it's shit, you shouldn't use it, and it's terrible. And then I thought, hang on a minute. My livelihood could get ripped out of the ground right in front of me, with no choice of my own as well. Just like AI. So I have two choices. I can sit and wait and think, oh fuck, this might happen to us. Yeah, oh poor me, woe me. Or I go, you know what? I'm really clever, I'm really curious. I know that although AI has its it has its things that we carry and the it has its problems, yes. But just imagine for a second that I find the ability to and know how to help other people, other women, understand how to use this so that they can make their lives better, they can make somebody else's life better, they can use this tool to then employ other people in their business in their life. It doesn't have to be doom and gloom, but I have two choices. I can sit and I can wait and I can think, okay, cool. These vines might get pulled out, my livelihood might go astray, and I I could just sit here and think, I won't, I won't do anything about it. Or I can take action right now because the AOA is not going to stop. Like that's it's not going to stop. So as a female entrepreneur, I am going to make the decision to learn it, to implement it, to figure out how I can use it to make my life better and easier, and then how I can teach it and help other people do the same, andor more. There might be somebody that can use this that could find the cure for bloody cancer, who knows? Or it could go the other way, but what if we do nothing? What if we sit back and go, no, I'm I'm not gonna learn it, I'm not gonna do it. Where does that leave us then? And so what if we do learn it and we do implement and we do use it in a way that is smart, in a way that may help other people get other jobs out of it, that may help your own livelihood and somebody else's? So I was kind of toying with that in terms of it's a real thing in my life. And so what Mia and I have decided to do is to share what we've learnt with you, but share it in a way that we hope if you can understand how to use AI to help you do the really mundane stuff that you don't want to do, and that maybe right now you can't afford a VA to do, or you want to have a VA, so you want to train the AI so that then you can have somebody else doing that. Because I don't believe we just hands off and go, hey, cool, do everything. I'm out. I don't believe in that at all. But I do believe in setting up a system that you can implement in your own business and share with an employee, grow within your small business, bring on other people to help you so your business can double, can triple, but the efficiency is also what doubles and triples. That's cool. And so we thought, yeah, we're gonna do this workshop and show you how to do this in a way that you can set your Clawed up account, your Clawed up account, your Claude account up with the scaffolding. That means instead of you just chucking random prompts constantly over and over again and using up all your credits and and doing all that, you use it in a way that you can put those prompts in and ask questions of Claude and get things back that give you an answer straight away and you go, oh, great. Now I'm gonna take that and I'm gonna put that into my email and I'm gonna rewrite it, update it, do whatever you need to do. So there are things that we are growing this and growing our understanding and building on our understanding and building on the tools that we know we would use and we know would be helpful for you. We're not gonna get stupid and do all the things because we got time for that, but right now we just want to show you the scaffolding part because for us, this is the really important part, and this is the part that we love the most, is helping our members inside evolution understand how they can use it in their business so that they can grow and they can use it to support them. And we want to show you as well. So if you're listening to this and you've become a little more curious how this could unfold and what this looks like, then come along to the workshop. All the details in the I was gonna say in the bio. We're not on Instagram, Kristen, or in the show notes of the podcast. Um, we'll be dropping some more. Mia and I have just been so busy learning that stuff and so busy with our evolution members and just keeping everything and everybody across things that you know we've dipped out a little bit. But moments like this are things I love to share what we're learning in a way that I hope inspires you to become curious as well. All right, well, I need to go and do my shopping. So I hope I've kind of spoken about everything that I wanted to do in this time. I'm excited what we've got to show you. I think the most important thing to understand is we will be slowing this down and taking you step by step by step so that at the end of this you actually have something. You don't then have to go and do more work. You actually have something that you can use, and that's exciting. But anyway, I've got to go do my shopping. It's Steen Wonderful. Catch you later. Absolutely, so many good ones too.
