Embrace Strength
Episode #85 2025 looking forward
Hello, and welcome to the first episode of a 2025 happy new year. So glad that you are tuning in to the pod. And I figure for the first episode of this year, I'm going to do like a 20, 25 looking ahead. Episode where I want to talk through. A bit of my personal goals. Business goals and just kind of what I have coming up. So let's get into it. Like if you are somebody who loves hearing. Other people's goals personally and professionally, you'll probably enjoy this episode. I know I am super nosy and I always love episodes like this. So I figured I'd record one. So kind of starting off, I have a. Busy January, February coming up. Next week, actually. I am going to be. Belying out west to see my girl Alyssa. She did my personal brand rebranding this year. We're actually doing a content road trip, which I am so stoked for had those trip plans since the fall. And we're going to do is she's going to grab. Most of my content for the year. So it'd be a few days of taking pictures, grabbing videos in different locations. So I'm just, I'm so excited because. If you. Our coach listening to this, you know, the struggle that comes with just having enough content. To be able to put out with what we need to put out, to run your business. Right? Because every time we make a post or every time and make a real, we need like a video or a picture or whatever. I mean, it's. Your life is so much easier when you have a bank to pull from. I've gotten photo shoots in the past and. Every time after I do one, I'm like, this was so worth it because now I have all these pictures. And I use them so much. And I know that this one is actually going to be. Way way better than any other photos should I've had because we're going to be shooting outside and like beautiful landscape and Another thing about it that I'm excited is Alyssa. Has been a coach. And so she knows. What this industry is liking, like what kind of content I need in the photo shoots I've had in the past, the photographers don't quite understand. What type of content that I'm looking for. Right. So I always, I have to spend all of this time, like giving them examples and showing like, I want it to be like this and like this. And I'm not really going to have to do that. This. And I fully trust her. So I think it's going to be great. We're going to get like a thousand images. And lots of video for reals too. I'm not sure how much, but I think she said. At least 50. So anyways, that'd be great. So I have that coming up next weekend and then at the end of the month I will be going on a retreat with my mentor, Lacey. We're going to Orlando. I'm so excited last year in February. I did the same thing and it was really transformative for my business. And so I knew I needed us to do another one. So I'll be doing one of those. At the end of January, there'll be three other girls going. And they're all in my mastermind too, so I know who they are, like we've met online and stuff. So. I'm excited to meet them in person and also just to be around other women who. Do what I do it is super powerful and I know that's going to be. A really great way to start off my year. I have my birthday coming up at the end of the month, January 27th, I will be turning 32. And I just can't believe. I feel like this year, or I guess 20, 24 is when it really started to hit me, like, well, I am. Not in my twenties anymore. I am now entering my thirties and a. Yeah, it's just kind of crazy weird things happen. A weird thing happens. When you turn 31, I'm going to say 31, because I felt like the year that I was 30, it was kind of just felt like an extension of 29. I was like, ah, you know, you're, you're still. I don't know that first year of being 30, so it doesn't really feel like it. But then when you turn 31, you're like, Oh, my gosh. And then you start like, Carrying a lot about your skincare and like, you don't want to start looking old and like, what can I do to avoid. Having an old looking face. And just like all these different things. That started to come up when you do cross that threshold of like, Being more in your thirties versus just crossing over into it. So. That will be. Exciting. And then. Let's see. Okay. So that's pretty much it for January, but to kind of get into some, a few of my goals for 2025 personally, I set three goals. One of them being read 50 books. And audible counts. I know there's some people that are like audible doesn't count. And as you're listening, Well, in my personal goal of wanting to read more, I'm going to be including audible. But I really got into reading fiction last year and it was really helpful for me to scroll less and. Just like have a different pastime other than scrolling. Which if, you know, you know so I really enjoyed that. So I want to continue that this year and push myself to even like read a little bit more. So. There is that. I want to get back to rock climbing, which I plan on doing next month. If you have listened to other episodes of this podcast, you know, that like my saga of the end, the reinjury of my left ankle slash foot. That's been really hard. It is getting better. I'm still going to acupuncture regularly. And I just feel like I want to try to get back to rock climbing next month, but anyways, So I get back to rock climbing, but the actual goal is. Too, at some point in the year, climb one mile in a month. Like. So at our gym, they did this mile high challenge last year. But my foot was injured. So we couldn't really do it. But we want to do it at some point in this year. So basically like. You every wall is a certain height, right? Like 30 feet, 40 feet, whatever. And basically you just track your climbs throughout the month, obviously wanting to get the distance of a mile within a month. So that is on our list for this year. And then I want to focus on. Gaining muscle and just getting as strong as possible because we want to start a family soon. So. I want really want to get my body and my health and a very good place to be able to go into a potential. Pregnancy as healthy and as strong as possible. And that's basically it for my personal goals. I don't go too crazy. I work with. So many clients on goal setting. And I often tell people like three personal goals is. The place to start, right? You don't want us that like 10 and then be disappointed when you don't hit them. But something that we started doing last year that I really liked was Patrick and I came up with three personal goals each and we printed them out and put them in picture frames. Across our apartment. And so. Like we always had that visual reminder. Of the goals we had set for ourselves and we both accomplished. Each of those goals. And so I definitely like our plan is to do that again this year, put our, each of our three goals in a frame around the apartment so we can like visually see it. So. If you like that idea, feel free to steal it. I enjoyed it. But. Now to get into some. Business goals. So for my business in 2025, I really want to. Set my growth in overdrive last year, I grew a lot. I did. Plus I ended up doing plus 74% growth. Last year. Versus the previous year, which was huge for me, it was the biggest year ever. I'm so proud. Of the year that I had last year. And I felt like I spent last year for me in my business was about trying different things and figuring out what type of business I wanted and what type of offers I wanted to create. And just like messy action, just doing things and. Trying to build a foundation to grow upon. And I feel like I do have a very clear vision. And foundation now. And so I just want to grow upon that this year and I'm hitting the ground running. It feels like, and I'm really excited. So. Part of that is going to be, and we're going to focus on. Running my group program for coaches program through pain. I'll be running that multiple times throughout this year. I ran the first cohort. We started in October, I believe, but it's a 12 week program. So we're wrapping up. This week actually, because we had, you know, two weeks off because the holiday, whatever, but I ran that for the first time and I really enjoyed it. And so I want to. Run that multiple times again, this year. And I want to grow my programming membership for coaches that I also created this year. And what that is. It is a group membership for coaches where we have group calls. Two times a month where the coaches submit case studies and I talk through like their client scenarios, they need support on in the group calls. And I've also relayed, enjoyed that, doing that this year. And so I want to get to new to grow that to that's. A really great place for people to start. If you are wanting some help with their clients. When it comes to programming. And so I want to grow that. And then I will definitely be continuing my one-on-one work with clients. Whether that is programming to rehab injuries or work through pain. And then also one-on-one work with coaches in a mentorship capacity. I have absolutely loved that this year or so. I will be continuing to do that as well. And ideally the coaches. Who worked with me one-on-one and mentorship. Ideally they are either in my programming membership or they have been through programming through pain because I'm considering those couple of offers as like entry level offers. And so. So, yeah, those are lower-level offers are a great place to start. If you are like, I might want to work with you one-on-one but I didn't really know. Starting those lower low level offers to get a taste of. How I teach coaches and help them. But yeah, so. Another super exciting thing on the docket for 2025 is I will be hosting my first ever retreat for my VIP mentorship clients. So I'm stoked for this. You, you can only have an invite to this. If you are one of my VIP mentorship clients. Because I don't want to just invite anybody. To a retreat in person. But literally my clients asked for this, so I decided we were going to be doing it in may of 2025. So I'm super stoked. There will be either two or three ladies coming in for it. And I'm just excited for that experience because. I have wanted to have an in-person experience for coaches for a couple of years now, and now it's finally happening. So I think it'll just be so awesome and a great learning experience. But. Yeah. And In a world where we are all online. Those in-person experiences are really powerful. Anytime that I go to an in-person retreat, I feel like it is rocket fuel to my business. And so I'm excited for the coaches who are coming in may to also experience that. So. That will be happening. And then. One more. Like kind of business thing I'm going to be doing. It isn't necessarily like a goal. As it's just like a thing on my calendar now was is that I will be doing quarterly time studies on myself. So my mentor, Lacey had me do this a few months ago and it was super eye opening. To how you're actually spending your time. And basically a time study is where you spend. Three to five days tracking. What you're doing every 30 minutes. Okay. And that might sound like a lot, but it is really eyeopening. If you were somebody who feels like you procrastinate a lot, you waste a lot of time tasks because they're taking too long. You're not getting enough done. Things like that. And so. What that taught me when I did that back. A couple months ago in the fall. It taught me that I was falling back into old patterns of procrastination and avoidance and taking too long to do things which that can be detrimental to your business. So I really want to stay on top of that this year. I'm going to be doing one every quarter. So. I'll be doing another one in March, but it's literally on my calendar. Two. I do that on the regular, because. I can't be wasting time. If you have big goals to hit. So, let me see, where am I at? What time? 14 minutes. Okay. I'm doing pretty good, but. That is basically it for this episode. I hope you enjoyed it. It's just a little bit of a rant and inside my brain as to what I'm going to be working towards and at 2025 personally and professionally.
