Hello, and welcome back to the pod. Today, I am going to chat with you about. How you are an inefficient coach when you don't know where to look for mobility issues. And either yourself or your clients. Okay. Here's what I mean. So you take on a new client. And I know that all of you do some form of assessing. But usually that means you watch them. Do a movement like you watch them do a squat or a press or a deadlift. And then you assess them based on how it looks. Before. You even really consider their mobility. So. Where this is a problem is if you watch them do a squat. You know, it looks like total trash because they have several mobility limitations. But then suddenly it feels like you're swimming upstream when you're trying to peel back the layers as to why the squat looks so bad. I used to see this all the time before I learned what I know now. I started off treating people in CrossFit group class. Okay. It did that for many years before I learned anything about. Fixing mobility issues. And I, I look back and I'm like, wow, it could have helped out so many more people. If I had this knowledge, but anyways, So for example, I had somebody in class who was squat. I mean, it just looks atrocious. They're leaning forward. They're coming forward on their toes. They can't put their heels on the ground and you just don't even know what, like where, where to look right. Of or even like what to do. You're like, oh, like, is it their ankles? Is it their hips? Is it their MES? Like, why can't they just keep they're dressed up? Like, those are the types of things that goes through your head. So you're like trying all these different cues and all of that. And I look back and I'm like, wow, that was literally the most inefficient way possible. I could have been working that problem right. Or trying to solve that problem. When you learn how to assess mobility in your clients. Before even watching them do a movement, like a squat or a deadlift. When you already have that information. Your spidey senses are already up as a coach with what movements they're going to have a hard time doing base on their assessment. Like my. Flexibility and mobility assessment that I do with all my clients and teach in mobility. Make-over. There's 13 points and it goes joint by joint. So once by the time I'm done with that, I already have like highlighted in my head. What they might have a hard time doing. Based on what I know. And then I take them through a. 10 point strength, balance test. And then I have even more information with knowing like what might be going on. When I have them do something like a squat or a deadlift. When you get. All that information upfront you not only know what types of exercises. They might have a hard time doing based on their current mobility. You all, it also clues you into what types of exercises you need to program to resolve these issues instead of just modifying movements indefinitely. And your clients is your client is actually getting a half-ass result because they can't even access the right muscles. Because like, when you do have somebody who is not able to squat properly, like I'm talking like a regular back squat or air squat or whatever, like when they're not able to get in. The correct position. To use the right muscles due to mobility issues. Their results are not going to be the same as a person. Who. Has improved mobility that can fully access the position they need to, to use the right muscles. Like their results are going to be different. Because of that. And I can also use. A an example, like a deadlift. When people have problems with the deadlift. One of the most common thing is, is they are not accessing their Lutes to use the movement they're using all hamstrings and quads. But they're not using the glutes to the best of their ability for that movement. And that movement should be primarily glutes and hamstrings. Like. The person who can't access their glues properly versus the person who can, they're going to have two different look on butts. And I know that all your clients probably want a good butt, right? So it's like it. I know it can seem like a small thing. Ah, learning about mobility issues, but it actually becomes a big thing when you zoom out and really think about like, okay, which person is going to get better results. Right. I am. This is one of the reasons why I'm so passionate about teaching coaches, how to do this, because it can literally impact your client's results. And I know that all of you guys want to get your clients amazing results, and I bet they do that good results, but. You know, thinking about a client and you struggling with the mobility issue, like what if they weren't struggling with that mobility issue anymore? Like, do you think their results would be better? I'm sure the answer is yes. So learning where to look for mobility limitations saves you time as the coach. And your client gets a better result because you have way more information about their body. From the beginning versus. You going through some initial movements and then having to work backwards because of how the movement looks. You're trying to figure out, oh, why does it look like that? Like, why does it look that way? What do I need to do? Is that like, that is so inefficient as I'm sure you're realizing as I'm comparing the two, like this. But if you are listening to this and you're like, dang, she's right. I really need to learn more about mobility issues, mobility, limitations, how to fix them. My clients. This is exactly what I'm teaching you, how to do inside of my group program mobility make-over we are in the presale right now, and I have a$900 worth of one-on-one bonuses for people who sign up by February 14th, which is Friday. And the one-on-one bonuses. They are three one-on-one calls that you can use throughout the program with me, where you're going to get my full attention. On how you can start implementing this with yourself and your clients. This is huge because I know that every coach who comes into this program is going to have a different type of client roster, or you serve a different type of client. And in these one-on-one calls. I'm going to help you figure out. Exactly how you can implement what you're learning, that makes the most sense for the type of client that you serve. So I'm really excited about these. And the program starts March 6th. So we have a few weeks. But I'm telling you, you want to get in with these bonuses. If you want more details on the program, what we're going to learn. All of that jazz, the link to the landing pages in the show notes. And if you have any questions, I want you to send me a DM on Instagram. My handle is Ashley crocker. 1, 2 7.
