Hello and welcome back to the pod and welcome to the. Second edition of a weekly recap. This is something that I started doing last week and I'm going to do a weekly recap episode for an entire year. So this is episode number two out of 52, and the purpose of these episodes, in case you didn't listen to last week's, is to, is for you guys to see a little bit of behind the scenes of what my week. Went, how my week went and any lessons that I am working through or whatever, like I always love behind the scenes content. So I figured this is a way for you guys to get some of that with me and they're going to be quick. And so, yeah, so just like a recap of this week, I'll start off by saying I do not wanna record this right now. It's at the end of the day. And it's one of those days where things, tasks took me longer than I expected and I'm having to push some of the things I had on my list for today. I'm having to push it to Sunday, which is fine, like sometimes that happens. Not my favorite thing in the world, but just all part of. The process. Something that I noticed this week was how much time I actually spend. Creating and like in the creative mode for my business. And it's a lot and I will like back up just a little bit by saying that if you are not tracking your time each week of like what, what tasks you're doing and kind of categorizing them and seeing like, okay, where is my time going every day if you're not doing that already. You need to start. And the way you just start is by simply tracking things as they're happening. And once you kind of get the hang of it, you will will be able to notice patterns and seeing like, okay, here's where all my time is going. And so I have different categories in my Google calendar of like. You know, like there are blocks for client check-ins, virtual sessions, client check-in, calls, recording the podcast actually coaching creative work. I have my life tasks in there as well. So there's a life category basically a category for all the tasks that you do throughout the week. And I paid extra attention this week to like, okay, how much time am I actually spending on creative work? Because. That is something that is, I think that when people get into coaching and they wanna go online, they absolutely do not realize how much time you're going to spend creating. And when I say creating, I mean writing content for different social media platforms and writing emails, making launch plans planning out your year strategizing your content. Not only strategizing it, but then writing the captions, figuring out, okay, is this gonna be a real or a swipe post? And you know, all these different things. And it is a lot, like literally, I spent half of my working hours this week doing creative work and I think that's just like widely under. I guess it's just like not expected when you are someone who says they wanna work online. And, but I love it, but it is just a part of business that is just different and it is mentally taxing and mentally challenging to. I have to be in that creative mode and sometimes it can be really hard to stay inspired. And something that I've been trying to be more intentional about over the past few weeks is like, okay, I am spending so much time creating content. I have to. Be aware of, like, okay, how am I also going to be inspired this week? How can I stay inspired this week? How, what are things I can infuse into my week that help me feel inspired? Now that the sun is coming back out, that is helpful because getting outside, feeling the sun on your face, that does help me feel more inspired than when I can't see the sun at all and I haven't seen the sun in three months. You know? So like being outside is a big one. And off of your screen, outside, off of your screen, undistracted. Another one that I utilize regularly is movement and working out. A lot of times I get some of my best ideas when I am working out. Something that I've implemented this month is I've started coloring. So at night and like at night, instead of doing so much screen time. Okay. I'm gonna color a few pages because that's the other thing, like being a. An online business owner and doing all this creative work, it is very overstimulating. So by the end of the day, I am like up to my ear lobes in being overstimulated, it feels like, and it's so mentally taxing. And so coloring is a really simple task. It's that like helps me. De-stress. Like I don't have to think about anything. I'm just literally coloring this page and I'll just like let my thoughts fly, you know? And that's something that we don't do often enough, is just like, let our thoughts fly. We're just like, we're just constantly consuming and taking in information like our brain does need that time to decompress, let our thoughts fly and just exist, you know? So I feel like that is helping me. And then another thing that came up this week that helped me feel inspired was when I was consuming content, whose content was I consuming? Right? Like I found myself gravitating towards consuming content from people who are not directly in my industry, but they are entrepreneurs that are absolutely killing it. And, that's helping me stay inspired conversation. So who you talk to during the week helps you, can help you stay inspired. Like I recorded a podcast with Alyssa and Jess, a couple of my online friends. And I just love them as human beings. And they're just like so on fire for life and like what they're doing in their businesses like. It was just so great to talk to them and be like, oh, like my people. You know, like, I don't have that in real life. I don't have any like in the flesh, like type of like, I'm not seeing people on the regular that make me feel like that. And so connecting with people like that. Virtually can also be super helpful. Like, okay, hey, I like, I'm not crazy. Like I'm not the only one that is like trying to do this, right? Like and so that is super helpful. And then something that I did today was I recorded a podcast with one of my clients, Sierra. I've been meaning to have her on the podcast for a while now because. Her transformation through working with me for mentorship has been so insane. I'm like, I have to have you on the podcast. So but like recording with her and like hearing her talk about working, her experience, working with me, like in her own words, it made me feel so inspired and rejuvenated and it's like, wow, like what I'm doing is making a difference and I should keep going. So also like talking with your clients and like asking them about the, their experience like coaching with you. Like that can also often be really energizing and like a confidence boost. Because sometimes it's like you spend so much time in your own head, you're like, oh my gosh, like, is my work really making a difference? Like, is my vision actually like happening and. Oftentimes if you talk to one of your clients who's been with you for a long time, it's like good confirmation that like, okay, yes. Like it is happening, right? It just not on the scale that I want it to yet, but if I keep going, if I'm just bound to get there, right? So anyways let me think what else did anything else I wanted to say. Oh, okay. One more little nugget for you guys and then I'm gonna end this workday and go get in a lift. But so I wanted to touch on a little bit on planning. Planning is something I never did in my business until last year. I. Which is sounds silly but it has made all the difference in my business. And this year I am like even, I am even more dialed in this year because I have a vision of exactly what I'm doing with my business and how I'm growing and trying to scale it. So I feel like this year has started off even way stronger than last year. But. Guys, if you want to put things into the world and create things, you have to plan and look ahead and then reverse engineer, okay, when did this need to actually happen? Because I had a moment this week of like, oh my gosh, like, thank God I'm looking at this. I'm revamping my group program Mobility Makeover a little bit. I'm doing some restructuring of the program and. I am shortening it a little bit, pulling out some information and making those mini programs instead, making the core program a little shorter. And it's gonna be a hybrid model of some modules mixed with live calls. So with that being said, I need this revamped diversion to be done. By mid-May, right? I want this done before my in-person retreat with my mentorship clients. I need it to be done before then because this next round of Mobility makeover is gonna be starting the first week of June. So I'm like, okay, looking at the calendar here. Alright, if the first, if the next round is starting in June I have the retreat at the end of May and then, so that means this course needs to be done one to two weeks before before the retreat. And then I like backtracked even more. I'm like, oh my gosh, that's only like six or seven weeks away that I have to revamp this. And so then from there, once I knew like, okay, this is my timeline. Alright, I need to put. Eight hours a week into revamping this so that it's done. And I'm proud of myself for doing that because last year me was not nearly this organized. But this is exactly what I'm saying. It's like if you wanna put something on into the world, you have to make a schedule for yourself and you have to stick to it. You have to put it in the calendar or else it will not happen. So. I'm grateful to myself for that. And today part of the things I did was get organized stuff like, okay, if I'm starting filming these modules next week, what am I filming on Tuesday? What am I filming on Friday? When is the filming gonna be done? When do I start editing? You know, and just making it into steps for yourself because. If you wanna bring anything to life, the way to do it is like, okay, what's the end result? And then reverse engineer it into very simple steps. So anyways, that's what we're working with today. But yeah, so that's all for this weekly recap. And now I'm gonna go to the get a. Liftin. So I will chat with you guys soon if you are loving these weekly recaps. Would love to hear from you.
