Episode #103 weekly recap 5/52

Ashley Crocker

Hello, happy Friday. Welcome back to another weekly recap episode. This is weekly recap number five out of 52. So when I was jotting down just some quick bullet points before I hit record, I was like, dude, this week has been crazy still. But an improvement from last week because. The doggies are feeling better, so I didn't have any random vet appointments to set aside time for, so super grateful for that. Grateful that they are feeling better. But literally after soon after I finished recording last week's weekly recap, there was another large thing that happened. I am not going to talk about it here, but. At that point, my Friday just went down the drain it felt like, and I was like, okay, I need to rest this weekend. I need some extra self care or I am going to explode. So that is what I did last weekend. I was a super chill weekend. We focused on resting. I got plenty of sleep. I unplugged from my phone. I. Focused on doing things that felt my cup and I could really tell a difference because on Monday morning I felt so much better. I felt so relieved. I'm, I only I can describe it. I felt relieved. Because like also I decided to. Push back a, a deadline that I was working on behind the scenes. I, I pushed it back a month because that's just what's going to be best right now in that specific project. It needs to be really high quality, so I need to be in the right head space, settled in the new place before I, go through that revamp basically. It, it's basically the revamp of my group program involves me recording modules and really making sure that it is high quality and I just feel like I can't produce that high quality right now in our house. It's a mess right now. So I feel like I don't have a good place to film. So I was just like, you know what? There's no big deal if I just push this back a month because and do the filming once we are in our new place in a few weeks. And once I told myself that I felt a release of pressure. So that helped, also helps me know that it was the right move because if I was still going to be operating on that schedule that I was working on, it would've had me launching. Basically the time of during the move and trying to unpack and getting settled, and that's just like not going to, that would've not even gone well because I wouldn't have been able to focus my energy very well. So I feel good about that and mm-hmm. So that was also helpful. And I definitely didn't feel as much pressure every single day during work, which was super nice. So, I mean, of course I still have like a lot that I am managing and working on, and I'm trying to get people into the back pain mini program at the end of the month. And so, you know, there's that, but it's definitely a different type of energy than trying to like work on and launch your. Signature group program, right. So it's just definitely a little bit different energy there. So that felt good. I'm still like going through this mental thing of like, I'm just not getting everything on my to-do list done every day. But I did make more of an effort to complete a task before moving, trying to move on to the next thing and like mm-hmm. You know, only. Getting 75% there on something. Mm-hmm. And then moving on, like, I was like, no, I really need to, I wanna finish this. Mm-hmm. Even if that means I check fewer things off of the to-do list today. So overall, this has been a better week and I am focused on. Like honing in on what is within my control with all of this shifting and changing, and there's just a lot of moving parts. There's a lot of variables involved. And there's actually a lot of things that are outside of my control. And if you are a fellow control freak, you know that that can be so, it can honestly drive you crazy if you were. Somebody who likes to get things done and like get things scheduled so you can like, make a plan and know what is happening when, and all these things. But when you have other people involved mm-hmm. They're typically not in a rush. Don't have the same like it's just different. Let's just like if you're, when you rely on other people waiting on answers from other people, it can just be. A different process than when you are, can control everything. And if you are a business owner, entrepreneur, you know exactly what I'm talking about. I think one of the reasons that people decide to run their own business is so you can do things on your own terms, right? So it's like, so we don't have to follow other people's timelines or, you know, whatever. We can just create that for ourself. So when you have to like let go of control and you know, you're not in charge of all the timelines, it's just like. Can be frustrating. So I made a list of everything that I am not in control over. And just realizing that like, I cannot waste energy thinking about this because it's literally not in my control. Like, it's not. So until we wait waiting on an answer from, you know, X, Y, ZI, I can't even worry about spend energy worrying about this because it's a waste. So I really tried to focus on that this week. I think it was helpful for my mental state. So I'm just continuing to kind of practice that every day. Another thing that I focused on this week that I believe is helping my mental state is my morning routine. Like making sure that I am getting in a real food breakfast. Every single morning. And writing a little bit in my journal every single morning, having that time to myself has been helpful for my mental state. And I have no problem getting in like movement. So that's a no brainer for me. I have no problem doing a couple of other things in my morning routine that I always do, but something that I'm like bad at is like, I'll just. Have a shake and a piece of fruit for breakfast or I'll just have a protein bar for breakfast. And I just feel like that is not what my body needs right now. My body needs like real food, actual meals. And so I implemented that this week. I'm actually sitting at the table eating a real food meal, jotting down a couple thoughts in my journal and that's it. And that has also set me up for more success. And for my. Me to just feel a little bit more taken care of before my day starts. So gonna keep doing that as well. And then one more thing I wanna touch on in this weekly recap is in my business I am focusing on, continue continuing to show up despite how I might feel or despite thoughts of, I feel like this isn't working or this is not going to work. Not a lot of people talk about this, but that is basically what runs can run through your mind a lot when you run your own business is like you're creating these things. You are launching these things, you are talking to people about these things and like you have really have no proof that like it's even going to work. And so if you're not careful, your mind can just almost like. Predict your own failure because you're having this thing in your head like, oh, this might not work. Oh my gosh. Like what if it's work, blah, blah, blah. Like, no. Honestly, what you have to do and what I have to always remember for myself is like, this is going to work. Like I trust that this is really good. I trust that this is filling a gap. I trust that people want to learn from me. I trust that people want to buy from me. And. There's just this huge self-trust piece that is so crucial to being an entrepreneur. And it's like, so it can be so hard especially if you run a lot of your business on social media. And so I'm trying to, or I am, I'm watching my language here. I am focusing on not even letting myself entertain the thought of like, this is not gonna work, or this is not working. Because if I focus on that, that's going to be true. So I'm focusing on, this is working, this is going to work. If I just keep showing up, the fruits of my labor will come back to me. And I have proof of this last year. Like that is what I kept my mindset on last year, and it worked out and I kept continued to grow. And so if I just focus on keeping my mind in a good head space. This is going to work. Of course it's going to work. Then things are gonna work because I believe we all have something special to give to the world that other people need. So keep showing up. All righty. That is what I got for you in this weekly recap. I hope you have a good weekend. I hope you're enjoying these. If you are somebody. Who isn't listening to these, send me a DM and let me know. Like, Hey, I love the weekly recaps. I've been enjoying doing them. So I hope that if you're giving these a lesson, that you are also enjoying them. And if that's you, I would love to hear from you. And if you are a coach that is listening to this, or if you were not a coach, but you are a person who deals with back pain. This could also be for you. So if you're a coach, you should a hundred percent be in my back pain mini program I'm running at the end of the month. It is a three day mini program where the trainings will be posted in a group and you'll be able to listen to the trainings on your own time. So yeah, through the weekend. Mm-hmm. It's the presale price of nine seven. Then it's going up. It is worth way more than that. It's gonna be really packed full of. Valuable information. So I think this is a must have for coaches and like I said, if you were not a coach, but you are somebody who deals with back pain and you wanna learn more about why it happens, you wanna learn more about what maybe the doctor has told you, you wanna learn more about how you can learn more about your body, about why it's happening, then you should check this out too. Alrighty. I'll put the link in the show notes to my Instagram. Be sure to gimme a follow. I'll also put a link for the back pain mini program landing page if you are interested in checking that out. Alright guys, I will talk to you next week.
