The Finding Sessions
The Finding Sessions is my space to share reflections on life, creativity, and presence. After leaving a busy professional career, I’m now embracing movement, photography, art, and yoga—both as a teacher and a student—as ways to connect more deeply with myself and the world around me.
Through personal stories and guided meditations, I hope to offer moments of calm, inspiration, and self-discovery.
You can also find my photography and daily messages of positivity on Instagram @inflowwithnatalie.
My wish for you, always, is to live in positivity, health, and harmony.

#33 The Space Between: what the home phone taught us in the 70s and 80s
In this episode, I go back in time to my childhood in the 70s and 80s where I reflect on how our big yellow rotary dial phone, attached to the wall in our home, somehow became the fabric that connected our family, built a sense of responsibility and respect for one another, and gave us a little bit more independence (teaching us to learn some life lessons on our own), and I suppose teaching our parents to let go of a little bit of control and have some trust.
I look back at having those "spaces in between" as a child with a sense of nostalgia - the space away from home, where you were expected to follow the rules, and no one could contact you until you reached another phone, or returned home.
I also share thoughts on how the mobile phone may have impacted some of the ways the family fabric has developed since those times.
This is not meant to be an analysis or a strong opinion piece, but rather, just sharing some stories on observations from my own life. Sometimes just sharing a story and a few reflections can get us thinking about how things impact us in our own lives. it may also bring back some memories.
I hope you enjoy it
