Sheila Matthews, Co-Founder AbleChild.org

I'm a mother from Connecticut who helped change state law to stop schools from recommending behavioral drugs for children. Schools should focus on education, not act as mental health clinics. Parents deserve to know the truth about ADD/ADHD, and we need a federal law to ban profiling through checklists and selective research used to push medication. After decades and billions spent, there is still no scientific proof of ADD, yet children are labeled and drugged instead of given proper educational resources. Ten states, including Connecticut, New York, and Texas, are demanding accountability from the pharmaceutical industry, FDA, and government. As co-founder of AbleChild.org, I continue to fight for parental rights, informed consent, and educational freedom. Our advocacy changed law in Connecticut and protects families nationwide, ensuring children are supported with resources, not psychiatric labels.
