Hey there Poultry Nerds!  I am the owner of Double R Farms and Champion's Blend Feed Nutrition.  I live in Alabama with my wife, Tamara, where we both teach schools and have assisted over 30 foster kids to adulthood.

I raise gamefowl, American Bresse, Rhode Island Reds and quail here at the farm.  At the warehouse, I mix, bag and ship Champion's Blend Supplements for poultry.  Now, I study poultry nutrition, but I use to work in cyber security.  That's what I teach in school, tech stuff, so I guess I am a well rounded nerd....

With the teaching and parenting deep rooted in me, it was only natural to do a podcast to help other poultry enthusiasts on their journey, whether they are new or seasoned.  I hope you enjoy the podcast and maybe learn something new, I encourage you to email us with requests and I hope you have a clucking good time!

Hey there peeps!    I’m Jennifer from www.bryantsroost.com and I love all the feathered critters!  I grew up with animals and obtained my Bachelors in Animal Science. Since then, I have raised kids and turned my attention back to critters.  I started with a few from local store and that exploded into everything it is today.  A farm is an organic, constantly evolving machine. I strive to not waste anything, treat every critter with respect, have fun and feed my family.  I now raise standard Buff Orpingtons and LF black Cochins to show. Coturnix quail are for food, eggs and business. Button quail because I just love them.  David and I have goats, pigs, cows, turkeys and ducks.  I love gardening with all the wonderful compost from the manure. I can and freeze dry. While I am a breeder, I am a farmer first and I walk the talk! My goal is to have everyone know where food comes from and be on the road to self sufficiency.
