Pieces To Wellness
Forgiveness
Free- Not under the control or in the power of another.
If you want to free yourself, forgiveness is part of that process. Free your self with forgiveness, unchain yourself from those wounds and move forward in a healthy manner. No hate, no retaliation, no extra weight, just eyes forward and keep moving step by step. This week the Instigator and the Yogi attempted to tackle forgiveness and they did not hold back (or disappoint).
Forgiveness offers many positive benefits, including reducing unhealthy reactions to anger, releasing stress and cortisol, lowering blood pressure, as well as reducing the effects of anxiety and depression.
The team talk about releasing wounds in order to move forward in life cultivating healthy relationships. These relationships include the one you have with yourself and those you have with others. Falling into the pitfalls of negative thoughts will only encourage negative feelings and actions. Try forgiving yourself for not knowing better, for not having all the information to make a better decision, for doing what was needed to survive. Forgive yourself for any mistakes you have made in the past and it will help you use your mistakes to refine you instead of define you.
