Welcome to the 9 to 5 Wellness Podcast, a show about corporate wellness solutions with innovators and forward-thinking leaders who are at the forefront of the workplace wellness movement. I'm your host, Ayesha Tahir. Hello, and welcome to 9 to 5 Wellness podcast. Happy Tuesday, everyone. How are you guys doing? I hope your Monday was great, but I know Tuesdays are even better, right? I have a very special episode for you guys. This episode is being presented by Robard Corporation, a leader in medically guided weight management solutions since 1976. And today, we'll be taking a deep dive into the science and why of supplementing protein, because we want to look at how it can help you, especially during your weight loss journey. It can keep you full longer, it tames hunger hormones, it preserves lean muscle mass, and I'm sure we are so aware of all of these benefits now. We have that knowledge at our fingertips, but we don't know why. And then we also sometimes get lost on, "Wow, how can we do that?" Today, that is exactly what we are gonna discuss. And I also feel like it is an underrated tool for sustainable metabolic health and sports performance so we're gonna talk about all of that today. Now, I wanna tell you why I believe that Robard Corporation's supplements are so good. First of all, they have been in the industry for fifty years, so it's a trusted brand. And their BioCare line Which was introduced back in 2024 to support patients using GLP-1 medications. Some medications like Ozempic, Wegovy, and these are not the only ones. There are newer ones in, on the market, but the mechanism is the same. So their BioCare line is the essential companion for GLP-1 treatment, and BioCare's high protein, nutrient-dense beverages and shakes, they combat muscle loss, nausea, and nutritional deficiencies, and my patients love it. I have recommended many different brands over the years. By far, BioCare is the one that patients come up to me and they're like, "Oh, this was so good. Thank you so much for recommending that." And in 2025, they reformulated their,, protein shakes, which now have, , 30 grams of protein, which I love that the higher the amount, the easier it is to take in the, your RDA for the day. So today, joining us is Robart Cor- Corporations marketing and e-commerce executive, Caroline Colavita. Welcome to the show, Caroline. Hi. Thank you so much for having me. I'm so excited to be here today. I'm so glad that we are doing this because I get so many questions from my patients day in, day out about, , the importance of protein. Also, what kind should I take? What time should I take it? And a lot of my patients are busy nine-to-fivers, and guess what? Time is of essence, right? They're working full time-... and then they have families to take care of, so they're like, "We don't have time for ourselves." So I'm so excited to be having this conversation with you. One of the things I wanna start out with is right away, when we're thinking about protein, I still get this, that we are normally thinking of elite athletes or bodybuilders. And, so there's this association that, only people who are trying to build their muscles who should be, like, supplementing protein, but we both know that it's very critical for weight loss. Yeah. So why is that so? , It's critical for weight management in general. You want to have a healthy weight loss. So people wanna see the fat. They wanna see everything kind of washed away. They wanna see the scale go down really fast, but what they're not realizing is when you're losing lean muscle mass or skeletal muscle- it's really detrimental to your body. So you need protein to continue to stay healthy. You wanna stay full longer, so you might be eating smaller meals, but if you're having a couple snacks here and there, you're not getting essential nutrition, even if you're seeing the, the scale move. All these deficiencies that people are having lead to so many side effects. Gastrointestinal, you're dehydrated, you have headaches, you're extremely exhausted, and it just causes so many negative things in the body that you don't really pay attention to 'cause you're just so focused on the weight loss. So for us, we try to really encourage people to, let's say on average it's 80 grams a day. When you try to break that out and think about a normal meal, you're not getting nearly enough protein. You're getting calories. You may not be getting anything else and it's really very difficult and it's actually so overwhelming, and I think that's something that we've talked about before is you see protein everywhere. And people are like, "I don't... Why? Why do I need this?" You wanna stay full, you want your muscles to keep working, and you wanna keep burning fat, and that's essentially what we're trying to do in this entire journey. Absolutely. And I do wanna add something here, Caroline, that when people are trying to lose weight, part of the equation is gonna be muscle loss. Yeah. No matter which pathway you take, along with the fat mass adipose tissue, we are gonna lose some muscle. Now, how much muscle we lose is something that we can control, and one of the things that really helps us control that is protein supplementation. So if you are on a weight loss journey, especially with GLP-1s, we do see that fast weight loss, like right? The, that it's in a short period of time you're losing a lot of- Yeah ... a lot of mass, let's just say that, body mass. And part of it is then ends up being, muscle mass if you are not supplementing enough protein, if you're not taking in enough protein. And I'm glad that you mentioned something right here that, let's say it's 80 grams because that's like the standard where- Like, like rough. Exactly, a rough number that we look at. If we look at the recommended dietary allowance, it's abo- about, at this time it is still .6, , grams per pound of your body weight. Which kind of isn't enough, but it ends up being 80 grams a day. I tell my patients somewhere between .8 to 1.2 depending on how- Wow. Yeah, depending on how active they are Right? So it really depends on how much, exercise they're also doing. If they are really trying to be active along with, just taking, the weight loss medication and making those dietary changes, then we have to up the protein intake. Let's talk a little bit about it. I do suggest to my patients, we need to move beyond the minimum RDA. , What do you think? Why is it so necessary? To get more protein? Yeah. I mean, you need to protect your body, and I feel like that sounds so basic, but the way that your muscles are protecting your bone structure, they're protecting your metabolic health, they're protecting everything that... You can't survive without muscle mass. You can't be a healthy person. You can't move your body. We wanna continue to move our bodies. We wanna be very intentional with our movement while on this journey, while doing active weight loss. If you are super active, you're stressing your muscles out to the point where if you're not feeding your body and feeding your muscles, you're gonna hurt yourself, which is something that we all want to avoid. We have heard stories where people are prescribed the medication and it's, "Oh, just lift weights." Let's say that you go on a big strength training journey. You're lifting a ton of weights, you're not getting enough protein, you're gonna stress your muscles, and you're gonna hurt yourself, in the simplest terms. You're going to just not do what's right for you, which is horrible. But- it's just so important to stay strong. It's important for your body. It's important for your health and overall nutrition to feed your muscles the proper protein, but making sure that you're getting the right protein is also equally important. Absolutely. Absolutely. I love how you mentioned that, yes, you're gonna get injured, because if you're not- Yeah ... getting enough protein, because what is protein? Protein necessarily is amino acids, right? So amino acids are the building blocks of every muscle fiber. So you, when you do hit the gym, it's a great thing to do, but guess what? You're creating those micro tears in your muscle fibers. That's essentially what's happening. Now, after the workout, your muscles are, like, trying to rebuild themselves, right? So when they're trying that rebuilding or going through that rebuilding process, what do they need? They need amino acids. Absolutely. And those amino acids have to come through your nutritional intake or food intake, and protein shakes are the best way to take those. Because then like- You have to watch the type of proteins, 'cause if you're taking just a collagen protein- That's not giving you enough amino acids to rebuild the muscle and to make sure that you're staying strong and healthy. Oh, I'm so glad you actually mentioned that. A lot of people- It's such a big deal. Yeah, it is a big deal. I think collagen has its place. It's good for joint degeneration. Yeah. It has... Depending on type one, two, three, which one you're taking, but it's good for your hair and skin, right? And same thing, like it has its place, and it's okay to supplement with that. But that is not the kind of protein supplementation we're talking about. Yeah. We're talking about, leucine. We are talking about the nine essential amino acids and of which leucine is the most critical one when it comes to- Absolutely building your muscle fibers again, especially after the workout and/or maintaining that muscle mass- Yeah ... when you're on the weight loss journey, on your weight loss journey. That is... That's great. I love that. One of the other things, I do wanna touch upon, because you mentioned it, is that we lose muscle mass. And as we age- Yeah ... we lose muscle mass a- as... it's like an aging phenomenon. I see age-related sarcopenias, Wow. Yeah ... in patients so much, so now on top of it, if you're trying to really rev up your metabolism with weight loss efforts, so you're like accelerating that muscle loss. If you're not ca- if you're not careful. Yeah. That's why protein intake is so critical, and the right kind of protein. Yes. The right type of protein, and that means we are talking about nine essential amino acids. And it's also important for your recovery. I'm sure a lot of people, as soon as they start losing some weight, they start have- gaining that energy. I do talk to my patients, six weeks or eight weeks into the treatment, and they're like, "We are already starting to feel so much better. You know what? We now go out on walks. We just joined a gym, and we are gonna start lifting, weights." And I'm like, "Oh, that's music to my ears." But guess what? Now you need even more- Yeah ... protein to improve your recovery because if you're physically active, you are gonna benefit from that higher protein intake to repair muscle damage from protein- Yeah ... or from training. So that's great. Okay, let's talk about GLP-1s. Wow. Sweet. And protein supplementation. Let's do it. Yeah. Why is protein not just a recommendation, especially for a patient or a person who is on GLP-1, but actually a requirement? Like we've discussed so far, losing weight in such a short period of time and losing so much weight, you're going to be losing muscle mass. It's not just fat. It's not just the weight you don't want. You're gonna lose it all over, and you're going to lose muscle. We need to protect the muscle in our body, and we need to continue to stay strong as we're losing weight. So we're focusing on losing the right kind of weight and staying healthy and making sure we're feeding our body the proper nutrients. GLP-1s, as you mentioned, they're gonna accelerate it. People, you'll see people online that they're losing two pounds a week, five pounds a week. The faster you're losing, the more likely you are to lose muscle. We need to protect that. We need to protect our body, which is why we're so concerned about getting the proper amount of protein on a daily basis but the right kind of protein, which is, again, what we've touched on so far. Yeah. So a lot of my patients who, are on GLP-1, especially when they first started, they feel super full. So that's another one of the things that often comes up in my follow-up visits, with them, that, we really don't have desire to eat much, which kind of is, , the pathway that these medications take, which is the goal, kinda. But at the same time, we don't want you to be malnou-nourished, right? So tell me a little bit about how the protein supplements in the BioCare line can actually help patients with, who are on GLP-1 and they feel so full. Yeah. So we have, our flagship product was designed for active GLP-1 use with this in mind, with, some of the gastrointestinal discomfort that comes along with it, the feeling of fullness and bloating. So our product comes in a premeasured packet. It's a powder. You add somewhere between seven and nine ounces of water, depending on the thickness and consistency that you prefer. Mix it up, and you've got 30 grams of protein, 26 vitamins and minerals, 6 grams of fiber, which not enough people are talking about, the fiber intake, and you are hydrating. So you still have essential vitamins and minerals along with pre and probiotics. So what our product does is it contains Gut Guard. It contains anti-nausea compounds. It contains licorice root extract, biotin, B12, everything you need to feel better. So it helps settle the microbiome because what's happening is your digestion is gonna slow down But your gut microbiome is changing significantly from what you've been eating, what you've been putting in your body, what you've been craving. We're now resetting all of that. So you've put your body in disarray. What our product does, it's gonna give you 30 grams of protein, high quality protein, that actually digests faster, so you're not sitting because you know that your digestion's just slowed down on this medication. So it gonna, it's gonna digest quickly and also settle your gut and help heal your gut in that process. Oh, I love this.. And I always am a big fan of protein supplements that digest faster. Yeah. Because a fast digestible protein is what is gonna help you maintain that muscle mass. That's great. And I love how you just mentioned, your gut microbiome is gonna change as you are going through your weight loss journey. So you said that your formulation has prebiotics and probiotics in it? Yep. Wow. That's great. And I do wanna also highlight the fiber intake. Fiber itself is kind of like a prebiotic, fiber is a prebiotic for your gut, because your bacteria is gonna go and try to break it, and that's food. That's food for your bacteria. Yeah. So it's like fiber is food for your bacteria. So in our body, we have a lot of bacteria. Yeah. Good ones. Good ones. It's okay. It does its job. They've all got their job. Exactly, right? So yeah, no, I, I love that. I think that becomes even more challenging for patients. Absolutely. Like that fiber intake, because they're already so satiated-, or have that feeling of satiation or, and/or just digestive discomfort, as you said, that they don't even think about fiber at that point. So you said six grams? Yes, in our flagship product. So then we recently developed BioCare2, which was int- intended for people who are on a maintenance dose who are titrating down, maybe microdosing. But we're finding a lot of the community who maybe they've been on the medication for a while and they just don't get side effects anymore, their body's adapted. This is a great option because it still has 30 grams of fiber, but it doesn't have the anti-nausea or the gut guard- But it does have roughly 10 grams of fiber. So it's... Once your gut has resettled, readjusted to this new normal, this helps you bring it into a place where your metabolism is working a little bit faster. It's gonna support your natural GLP-1 production, which comes from the fiber intake, and the pre- and probiotics again. So we have two different versions, both with the same high quality 30 grams of protein, so you're still getting that first and foremost. But you're attacking your body and giving it what it needs based on where you are in this journey. Because, again, we know that this is not linear. We know that things are changing constantly, and we know that even throughout the week, depending on what day of the week you take your shot, you're gonna feel different every single day. So we have different options to still maintain lean muscle mass, but really address your needs in that moment. Absolutely. Yeah. Your shot, that you take, it, the medication has a half-life, so you have to- Yeah ... see where you're at in that cycle. I wanna expand on what you just mentioned. You got me interested- because I wanna learn a little more. So I was aware of BioCare products- but you're saying that patients who go on maintenance dose or whose bodies have, adapted to that- Yeah ... GLP-1 dose that they have been on, you're saying there's a new line, BioCare 2? . So again, we heard the community's feedback and, you know, we're really engrossed in the community. I myself am a GLP-1 patient, and I don't have side effects every day. We know that a lot of people who have been on this journey for, let's say, eight months or longer, not everybody wants to get off or go to maintenance, whatever that may be, but they, they've changed. Their experience has changed, or microdosing has become the hottest new thing, and you still want your protein. You definitely need more fiber, but you don't have side effects, and that's okay. And that's actually great. We love that for you, but we did re- create this product specifically with that in mind, to help boost metabolism, to help your natural GLP-1, and to help you transition into this new maintenance phase. Awesome. That's, that sounds great. That's great. And I love it that it still has 10 grams of fiber. Yeah. But you took out, the, anti-nausea compounds that you were- putting in that. That's awesome. Yeah. I do wanna give a big shout-out to BioCare over here, because a lot of my patients are looking for a better way to hit those daily protein goals. And with 30 grams of high-quality protein per serving that BioCare shakes have, they are just designed to support- muscle health and your weight loss journey. And one of the other things that you're gonna notice if you take a couple of shakes a day, which I highly recommend to my patients, is that they keep your energy levels steady throughout the day. Because what happens is yeah, you first wake up, you're going about your day, and we all know that we get to that, afternoon slump, and you're like, "Oh," and then you're gonna go and reach for some form of simple carbohydrate. So I like to keep a BioCare, sachet right on my desk, and then I mix it in my shaker and have it as an afternoon snack. So I enjoy those snacks midday all the time. And unlike many standard powders, because I've tried many. I've been working as an exercise physiologist for 15 years, and I've tried many protein powders. Let me tell you, they can be really chalky and difficult to digest. I'm like, "Oh my gosh, this is like... I probably don't wanna do this." But I have to tell you, BioCare is crafted for smooth texture, and it in- it, it includes a blend of ingredients that's aimed at supporting digestive comfort, and it tastes great. It just tastes like almost like you're drinking candy, and I'm like, "Oh, this is so good. I love it." It d- it doesn't have an aftertaste either, because a couple of, like, powders back in the day when I was just trying things out, they had such a bad aftertaste. I was like, "Oh, okay, I can, I could drink them," but then the aftertaste, I couldn't take it. So whether you're lookin- looking for a quick meal replacement or maybe a post-workout recovery drink, these shakes are a convenient way to prioritize nutrition and protein intake in your, um, day. I have a special offer for you guys to try BioCare. Visit biocarenutrition.com, and you can c- use the code Ayesha, just like my name, Ayesha, at checkout to receive 20% off your entire order. Okay. So Caroline, I wanna talk about, , quality and quality of BioCare products because I remember we met up at, , OMA, a few weeks ago. And you had something which I was coming to your, stall again and again, and I was grabbing them. Those cup full of cereals. Yeah. Because I was like, "Oh, this is the perfect snack." Yeah. "I love this so much." . Tell me about those cereals. Okay. So we, we just recently launched those on BioCare. And again, , the community is looking for crunchy, for savory, for something different than a shake with protein. So we had at the show, , and we just recently added them to the BioCare website, we have Cinnamon O's, , which are think of a Honey Nut O shaped cereal that I won't mention covered in cinnamon. It is the perfect crunchy snack dry, which is how most of you guys tried it at the last few events. Perfect with, um, milk. So it actually has 11 grams of protein dry. If you add half a cup of skim milk or milk of your choice, it can be roughly 15 grams of protein, which is major. And then we found recently that people love adding them to their yogurt instead of a granola. So it's another great way to add protein to your day. So if you have yogurt with lunch, add a handful of our cereal, and they actually come pre-portioned, which is really nice so you don't have to think about, like, "Is this a cup? Is this the proper amount?" And then our Mini Crisps, they are tiny little soy crisps that are chocolate coated that, again, 15 or 11 grams of protein dry. You can make it a cereal, you can add it to an ice cream, to a yogurt, to anything else that you want for a crunchy topping. They, um... The big thing that we get is that they remind them of the crumbles in an ice cream cake, and they're just the perfect snack. And it's just nice to have, like, throughout the day. Talking 9:00 to 5:00, we're- we sit at our desks far more than we'd like to admit, right? This is, like, the perfect packet to keep in your desk for that midday snack, where maybe you do want something a little bit carbier or crunchier. You're still getting your protein, and it d- and it actually tastes good, and you want... I have jars of this in my office that I just snack on when I need a hit or protein. And you feel good. You feel good eating something that has high protein and you know is better for you than grabbing a bag of chips from the vending machine. Absolutely. Absolutely. And I love those, Mini Crisps. Those were so good. They're so good. And yes, I try to put some sort of, protein, crunch on top of, my oatmeal in the morning- Yep ... or my Greek yogurt, which it just enhances the amount of protein and also it tastes so good. And those- little Cinnamon O's were so good, so delicious. They're the best. I just can't tell you guys. They're almost gone completely. They're so good. You guys have to try those. Cinnamon cereal, you'll find it, and they are truly the best. And honestly, people were coming back day after day at the last few events that we went to "Do you guys still have any of th-..." , We ran out. It was so well received. Wow. Yeah. I ordered one, I think this week, and I'm excited that once it ships- Yeah ... I'm, I'm gonna just be topping everything with that. I wanna talk a little bit about the protein formulation because- we kind of like need both, like, plant-based and animal-based protein. And I know some of my patients are, like, strictly, like, vegetarians or vegans. So tell me a little bit about your products which are more plant-based, and then if you have, , animal-based or whey-based, products too. So our shakes, the powdered shakes are whey-based, but it is a very high-quality protein that we use. And we have heard from some patients over the years that are lactose intolerant that because of the formulation , and the quality that we use, that they have been able to drink them fine. Not saying that's the norm for everybody, but we have heard that occasionally. So our shakes do tend to be whey-based, but again, it's for easier digestion, faster digestion, and it's a very easy way to get protein into your body. And then for our snacks, they are soy-based. So we do ... a combination that can be, um, plant-based compared to dairy-based. We ... I don't know if you can see them behind me, like our- Yes, I can. I can. , They're nice and clear. Oh, good. So, like, three days ago, we launched new entree options, and three out of the four are vegetarian. Because again, we keep hearing that this is something that the community is looking for and needs, and these are high protein meals with 35 grams of protein, which do include collagen peptides. Again, we know that we love our skin, hair, and nails. So we ha- we have a very wide array of options for those who are vegetarian, looking for plant-based options, or don't mind having animal-based options. Oh, that's great. I love it. Oh, I have to try those meals now. I'm excited. Very excited. Yeah, let me know. Yeah. So we talked about the cereal, but you were just mentioning there are other, probably other snack options. What are those? So we have protein bars. We have an array of flavors of bars that have 15 grams of protein. We have the cereals, which can be a cereal or snack. We have protein pretzels. We have pancakes, which are my personal favorite that I eat every single weekend. We have two oatmeals, we have a pudding, and I think that's... Oh, and a cheesecake. I knew there was one more. Oh, nice. Yeah. Oh my goodness. And all- Yeah ... of this is on biocarenutrition.com? All on our website, yeah. And these are all BioCare Line products? Yes. Yeah. Wow. So they're all high protein. They all have, , they're fully fortified with vitamins and minerals. So they are really intended for weight management, whether that means you're in maintenance, whether that means you are actively losing, that's what the intention is designed for. And it's just to give you a better option than, again, a vending machine product or something quickly that you're grabbing on the go, and they're all prepackaged and pre-portioned. So for those of us who are on the go who need to have something in their car, and in their desk, and in their bag, and in their gym bag, you don't have to think about it. You throw it in your bag, it's there, it's delicious, because we do have a team of food scientists on site here in New Jersey, and we go through the ringer for taste testing around here. And we really wanna make sure that if you're doing this, you're putting so much time and energy and thoughtfulness into this weight management journey. The last thing that you want is to feel like you're being punished by your food. Like, we've, we've all had that experience. Like, I don't wanna feel like I'm punishing myself for trying to be healthier. So we really put a lot of energy into our taste. And I would second you over there that, your products really taste well. Thank you. And as I said, I've tried many over the years, and again, my patients too, when recommend BioCare, they're like, "I am so glad you mentioned," because, what I was having a hard time finding a product that I can actually enjoy too, ? Because again, it's not a punishment. No. Yeah. This is like you prioritizing your health, actually taking action for it, and then you're like, "Okay, there's nothing out there that I can actually easily eat." Yeah. "And I don't have time to go and, grab a full lunch or even if I do go there, then I'm, like, tempted to eat so many other things which I shouldn't be eating," or, "I don't have... i'm driving my kids to..." A lot of my patients say, "I'm driving my kids to their sports," events on the weekends, so I don't have time for meal prep like that-" No ... "for work." Who has time for that? No. Yeah. But if you can keep a, a sachet in your drawer or your bag, you can add it to a bowl, you microwave it for five minutes, and you have a full meal that actually tastes good. And again, it's... The convenience factor is huge. Saving time is major, as we all know. I mean- None of us have time for anything, let alone meal prepping for a whole week, and God bless those who can. I, I can't fit that in, and it's hard. Or, you know, you don't wanna go and spend $20 on a salad that you're only gonna eat half of, and then you've gotta worry about where am I gonna put this, and we could go on. Absolutely. Those are great. And I also wanna highlight something you just said about your shakes, that those are whey isolate and/or concentrate shakes. And those are the easiest to digest. Yeah. Because whey isolate, I haven't had a patient come through who has said that they couldn't, drink it, or it was heavy,, or it didn't, or they had GI issues after that. Even those who are lactose intolerant. Because the isolate is ultra filtered- Yeah ... whey, so it actually removes most if not all- lactate too. So yeah, you're good there. Okay, great. Awesome. We have that BioCare two formula now coming out, right? And that's for those who are transitioning off of GLP-1 or reducing their dosage. , Tell me a little bit more about that line. I'm really excited because I don't know much about that line. Yeah. I think it, it started with we kept hearing more and more in the media talking about people who get off the medication, gain all the weight back in seven months, whatever it was. So we really intended to come out with a product to help mitigate that, to really ensure that you spent all this time losing all this weight, we don't want you to lose steam and lose progress. So our intention behind it was continue with the high protein, but let's add more compounds to aid in metabolism. So you can start to speed up your metabolism as you're getting off the medication. You can reset your gut microbiome. And what we found was not everybody's actually getting off the medication, but they're microdosing or they're lowering their dose, but they still need proper nutrition. They still want to increase their metabolism. They still want to get the 30 grams of protein. So that's what it ended up becoming, which was very exciting for us because it really addressed an area of the community that, these protein shakes that are out there, they're really not a one size fits all. You can grab something off the shelf, you can grab something at your local convenience store, but it's intended just to get protein in you and move on. Where these are really thoughtfully designed To where you are, to meet you where you are, and to make sure that you're getting the proper nutrition for your body. It's not the same as the girl next door. It's not the same as your coworker. Everyone's in a different phase of this, and you could be... You could have lost all the weight 10 years ago, but still need a meal replacement, or still want a meal replacement, and that's where this comes in, is really to address that phase of this journey. Yeah. No, I like that. And you're absolutely right. After a while, and , it really depends on the healthcare practitioner, who they're working with, and how they're, just suggesting, what pace they should go at and whatnot. But after a while, they are gonna have that baseline o- Yeah or hit their ideal goal weight, and then, they decide if they're microdosing it or weaning off of it. But guess what? You still need that protein to maintain and even probably build muscle mass. And what- I really like about your new shakes, that the fact that you reformulated them and they are now 30 grams each, is I like to give this 30/30 rule to my patients, where I tell them, "Start your day with 30 grams of protein, and then end your day, towards the end of the day, end it with 30 grams of protein." I love that. Yeah. And a lot of times, even at dinner time, we think we are taking in 30 grams. We are not. Yeah. No way. Unless you're being really intentional with it, you're not. Intentional like, you have grilled chicken breast, you got protein pasta, you added unflavored powder to your spaghetti sauce. Yes. It's not as easy as one might think. Yeah. To get that. Exactly, and a lot My patients are like, "Oh, this is what we ate for dinner." And I'm like, "This is not 30 grams." Yeah. Exactly. Just like you said, you have to be very intentional, as in you have to add it to your food in many different ways- in order to hit that 30 gram goal, and then as I mentioned, I like to suggest, at least, .8 to 1.2. 1.2 is high for- somebody's really active, and I do have some patients who are very active. That being said, though, it's if you look at your total daily intake during the day, you're not gonna get to it unless you have these trusted products with you that you can supplement with. So that I always like. And it's simple. It's a simple swap too, right? Yeah. Yeah. It's easy. It's so simple, and it fits your hectic, work from home or, you know- Travel ... or office schedule. It's fast. Yeah ... or office schedule too. Okay. And these products are all available at biocarenutrition.com. They are. Caroline, tell me a little bit about, So once the patients order it through- Yep ... the web- website, what's the process for them to receive it? We actually house and fulfill everything from our corporate campus here in New Jersey. So as soon as we get the order, we ship Monday through Thursday. The order goes out right from here, the next business day, and then it arrives right to you. Oh, nice. So it's nice- Yeah ... and quick too. Quick delivery. I like that. Quick delivery. It's a quick turnaround, and it is quite literally across the street. So it's, everything's done here. And we actually manufacture here, which not many people know is that we are a- I didn't know that. Yeah. We actually... on the other side of this wall where I'm sitting. We actually... So we formulate everything on site, we manufacture everything on site, and then we ship on site. So it's all done in-house, which- Okay ... is something that many other protein companies don't do. Gotcha. No, I wasn't aware of it, that your, manufacturing facility is also, based- We do ... in New Jersey where you guys are at. Yeah. That's great. Ah. Isn't that great? I love it. Yeah. , That is amazing. That's great. Okay. Now, tell me, anything else that our GLP-1 users, our patients should know about, or even people who are just trying to supplement with- Yeah more protein should know about your product? For GLP-1 users specifically, we actually l- recently published what we're calling our GLP-1 blueprint. And what it does is it walks a GLP-1 user through every day of the week and what you can expect based on your shot cycle. So like you talked about, the shot has a half-life. So many of us on the internet, it is so overwhelming. It is so daunting when you start this. And then you go on, , let's say you go on TikTok and you're looking up GLP-1 people and it's crazy what you'll see. So we created- There's so much noise. There's so much out there. And what works for you doesn't work for this person, for that person. So we created this template that, assuming you take your shot on a Sunday, what Sunday through Saturday looks like and how you may feel and the types of movement. So Sunday, let's just make that a rest day. Shot day, let's rest your body. Let's make sure you're really hydrating on those days and you're getting your proper protein to ensure you're set up for the week. Monday and Tuesday, let's start with whole foods first, but something that's easier to digest. Let's not go crazy. Let's not go crazy with strength training, and then building up as the week goes on, so that way you're getting everything that your body needs, but you're doing it in a very thoughtful manner. So this is something that we've developed, with some of our partners as well to really ensure that patients have something that is trusted, and that they can feel good about what they're doing, and also know what to expect. Because many people don't, and we find that a lot of people actually quit the medication because, the first couple weeks they're like, "Well, I didn't know I was gonna feel this way. What's going on here?" And they think there's something wrong when it's just your body adjusting to something new. So that's something that we've put a lot of time and effort into as of late that we're finding to be very helpful for especially new patients. And of course- I'm just gonna confirm. You said it's a GLP-1 blueprint. I think I did see that on your website. Yeah. It's right on our website, biocarenutrition.com, and it's right there in our resources. Oh, I love that because a lot of patients- Yeah ... when they first get on the shot, they... it's just that it's like a learning curve, of course, when you take something new. A- any kind of medication you go on. There's a learning curve to it. But then- Yeah ... especially since it impacts your GI tract so much, and you're not sure, people don't realize and, that the first two days you wanna manage your food intake differently on the first two days than the rest of the week. So glad to hear that you have resources for patients out there- any other parting thoughts for our audience members here? You know, I think the biggest thing that we try to tell everybody is really tune into your body. Everybody's different on this journey. We all want to hit these protein goals, but really listen to what your body needs and how you're reacting to certain things. Shakes might be better for you, bars might be better for someone else. A- as long as you're really paying attention and you're intentional with what you're doing great. We love this. You're trying, and that's all , you can really ask for. Absolutely. Absolutely. And I just love how your BioCare line has, such versatile products, right? Yeah. It's not just because some of my patients come to me and they're like, "Shakes are not for us. We just don't do well- on shakes." No. And if you know your body like that's fine. But then there are bars, right? Yeah. There are these snack options. You're coming up with those meal options, which I love. That's exactly what I love about, Robard Corporation's offerings, because you guys offer, so many different products. , Whatever you know you, works for your lifestyle, works for your body, works for, what you want on a certain day, right?, We have a product for that. Exactly ... yeah. And you can get 20% off with the code Ayesha. Just visit biocarenutrition.com and just enter my name, and you'll get 20% off, percent off the entire order, and it will be shipped right to you. That, this was great. Thank you so much for joining us today. Yeah. Thanks for having me. These are a lot of those questions that are not- addressed as commonly for the patients. And thanks for sharing the code with us too- Yeah ... so that everybody can enjoy these new products. And I can't wait to try your meals now. You, yeah. I, I'm hooked. It's amazing. And Caroline is , "Yeah, one, one day I was just having this, moment where I'm like, okay, let's just make these T-shirts." Exactly. I love this.
