Freedom & Fat Loss: Why You Don't Need Another Diet Plan

Catherine

The cycle of diet disappointment keeps us trapped in a loop of restriction and rebellion. What we actually need isn't another restrictive meal plan or diet program, but the ability to trust ourselves with our food choices and follow through on our commitments.

• You already know what healthy eating looks like – what's missing is self-trust and implementation
• If dieting harder worked, you'd already have reached your goals
• The restrict-rebel-repeat cycle keeps you starting over every Monday
• Fat loss isn't the ultimate goal – freedom from food obsession is
• Confidence comes from keeping promises to yourself, not achieving a specific weight
• Most people struggle to envision their "best self" beyond physical appearance
• Breaking the cycle requires awareness and healing your relationship with food
• Learning tools like macro tracking provides education that lasts beyond the diet
• You're not lazy or unmotivated – you've just been taught the wrong approach

Ready to break free from the diet cycle and transform your relationship with food? Check out our Made for More program starting April 2nd. This 12-week deep dive addresses not just nutrition but the mindset and identity shifts needed for lasting change. Visit the link in bio to learn more or send a DM with questions.

Speaker 1:

Hello and welcome to Talk RD to Me. I am so excited to dive in to this week's episode. All about you ladies who are searching for the next quick fix, the people that are really thinking that eating less food, more cardio, more control is the answer. With love, you guys do not need another diet, you do not need another meal plan, you do not need another program. What you need is a wake-up call, and that is what I'm giving you all, with love, in this episode. So, first things first. I want you guys to really take note, realize, bring awareness to these things that I'm about to go over. And the first thing that I'm going to bring up is that you already know how to eat healthy, right? If I were to ask you right now, what do you need to be eating? What would make your body feel good? What are you missing in your diet right now? You'd probably tell me a few things. Maybe protein. Maybe you're not eating enough fruits. Maybe it's not enough vegetables. Maybe you've tracked macros before and you know how to do it right. That's not the problem. The real issue is that you do not trust yourself to follow through, to choose those foods, to track your shit right. You do not trust that you're going to show up and do these things. You would rather me give you a meal plan and tell you exactly what to do, because, deep down, you do not trust that you are going to make the right decisions when it comes to your food, right? You're outsourcing your power to the next plan, the app, the coach that's promising you these faster results, and that is not what you need. That is not what you need. You need integration into implementation, the ability to show up and trust yourself and learn, really take the time to learn these things, because once you learn how to properly fuel your body and what foods are that you're putting into your body, right?

Speaker 1:

This is why I preach on macros, because it's not just a diet, it's a full on educational tool that you can lose, use and once you learn it, you're never going to forget it. You will never, ever, ever forget macronutrients if you learn them. Um, I, I think there it's. There's this real out there and it's like before macros and it's just showing a bunch of foods with, like this tastes good, this would be yummy, like yay, foods. And then it's like after you learn macros. It's like the macro breakdowns and the calories. It's like. Such a huge learning tool and awareness tool Like this is why I can maintain results.

Speaker 1:

This is why I'm able to go into a deficit when I need to, because I know how to manipulate my food and use it to my advantage. I never have to say no to date nights. I never have to say no to Oreos. I never have to do those things because I totally trust that I know how to include them into my diet without binging, and that is a huge, huge win in my book. So that's first things first.

Speaker 1:

If dieting harder worked, you'd be exactly where you want to be by now. Right, you've already tried 1200 calories. You've probably gone lower than that. Right, you've already tried 1200 calories. You've probably gone lower than that. Right, you've tracked perfectly. You did the macros, maybe for a week or two. Right, you work out and you're still not seeing the results you actually want. And that's not because you lack willpower or discipline, but it's because the strategy is unsustainable, right? So think about that. If I were to give you a meal plan for 1200 or 1400 calories which I would never do if you got a meal plan with that and it had chicken, rice, broccoli, oats with some fruit, in the mornings, with some eggs, a salad for dinner, like that's all you'd be able to eat. Like those are the foods, that's it. No wonder why you can't stick to that, right? So from Monday through Thursday, maybe you're eating 1200 calories, and then Friday hits and you're like, oh my God, I was so good, so good with my diet this week. Fuck it, I'm going to eat everything in sight. One because I'm actually really really hungry and two, because I deserve it. I did so good, right? So you're in this cycle of, you know, really being strict with yourself and then going into the cycles of overdoing it and going off track and throwing yourself in this unsustainable loop and wondering why you're not seeing results.

Speaker 1:

Right, it goes back down to self-trust. You do not trust yourself to stay consistent with the goal, right? You keep waiting to feel confident in your body. But your confidence comes from showing up. It comes from you setting the goal, knowing how to execute it, knowing this is gonna work for you and your body, and you just do it. You decide like this time is different. Today's a new day. Every decision I can make is either towards my best self or it's taking me a step backwards. But if you take a step backwards, that doesn't mean the next decision is one that can't bring you forward again, right? So you need to stop waiting to look differently to feel confident, to feel worthy. Your confidence is keeping promises to yourself. It's building the evidence. It's proving to yourself that you can do the things you are setting yourself out to do. And trusting trusting you will do it. Trust in your voice, trust in your knowledge, in your resources that you have, that you know what to do. So just do it for one day, for 24 hours. Act like the person that already has the goal, and you will see a total shift in your confidence. A total shift in your confidence. All you need is 24 hours. Right?

Speaker 1:

I want you guys to know fat loss is not the goal. It's not the goal. It is freedom. Freedom is the goal. That is what you're actually chasing. It is not a smaller body. It's feeling in control. It is feeling like you can trust yourself. It is feeling free to do whatever you want and still get the results, and it's feeling like you again. Right, that does not come from shrinking. It comes from alignment, and alignment is missing from so many people. A lot of people don't even know what that means. Alignment with what cat? Alignment with your best self? Right, but you don't even know what that is. You don't even know what that looks like. I can't tell you. I've had so many calls with my one-on-one girls lately and I've asked them and this has happened more than once where I've asked them, like, asked them, and this has happened more than once where I've asked them, like, what does the best version of you look like? And they cannot even start to put that together and they get so emotional. One of my clients just broke down in tears because she could not think about that. And also, you know, it might just seem really far away right now, but that's okay.

Speaker 1:

If you don't have a vision, you're not taking action towards anything, right? That's why motivation falls off. You need to have that vision. You need to know where you're going and what you want. It is not just the number on the scale, it's how you're feeling, that feeling of freedom, confidence, self-trust, self-worth. It starts now, not when you see the number on the scale. That's just a bonus, right? All of this inner work that we're doing, all of the deeper dives that we're doing, it's giving you the path. It's showing up for yourself to execute the plan so you can get the result right. I need to always reinforce that, because if you want weight loss, I want that for you too, but you can't sit here doing the same shit and expecting a different result. So keep that in mind.

Speaker 1:

All right, you've been stuck in a loop, right? You've been in this restrict, rebel and repeat the three R's. Right, let's call it what it is. You restrict all week, you're perfect. And then the weekend hits and you're off the rails. Right, going back to that 1200 calorie meal plan. Right, you're spiraling every single week into shame and starting over again every single Monday. If this is you, if you are resonating with this, this is the shit we are teaching and made for more, you will never start over again because you're going to learn not only your macros, the training, but you're going to learn how to trust yourself and show up for the best version of you.

Speaker 1:

So the only way out is to break the pattern. It's to become aware of what's actually happening and fucking break it, and that means healing your relationship with food and yourself. Right, it's building trust. It's building confidence. It's showing up for you because you are the project, you are the end goal. So keep that in mind.

Speaker 1:

But I'm not here. I'm not here to tell you to give up on your goals. I'm here to help you actually reach them in a way that feels really fucking good. With all of that being said, you're not lazy, you're not unmotivated. You've just been taught the wrong approach, and I'm here to help you change that. So I want you all to know what made for more is, and that is the program that will literally change your life.

Speaker 1:

Made for more is exactly what it is Made for more than the scale. Made for more than waiting to feel worthy or confident. You're made for more. You're made for a bigger life. Right, we need to be existing in a world where we can get results and also go on vacation and not feel like shit. We are meant to live bigger lives, and I want you guys to have that. I want you to dream big and not only get the physical result, but the mindset transformation as well. You are stepping into an entirely new identity to get the goals you want to achieve. That is the shit I'm teaching in Made for More, and our next call is April 2nd.

Speaker 1:
