SPEAKER_00:

You guys are in for such a treat today. On the podcast, I'm bringing on a dear friend of mine, Megan Langford, who is gonna tell us her story. But basically, she has not paid for a vacation in years. And she has done it with travel hacking credit cards. This is something that I have have dabbled in throughout the years where we've used points to pay for credit cards, or we've used points to pay for travel. Um, but Megan is like the genius expert. She knows all the cards, she knows how to do this correctly so that you can get the most bang for your buck. And I'm so excited, excited to bring her on the podcast today. So stay tuned. Welcome to the Money Mom Podcast, the show where we empower moms to take control of their finances, break free from money stress, and build a life of freedom, confidence, and abundance for their families. But your role in shaping your family's financial success is just as important. And the best part, you don't need to sacrifice everything to start winning with money. Let's get started. This is the Money Mom Podcast. Okay, welcome to the Money Mom Podcast. I'm here, your host, Rachel Coons, and I have Megan Langford on the podcast today. Welcome, Megan. Hey, thanks for having me, Rachel. Okay, so Megan went from barely being able to afford one vacation to now she's traveling what you said six times a year with your family and saving over$20,000 a year, right? This isn't just like overall, this is every single year. Yeah, I'm at$25,000 right now for 2025. Holy cow. Okay, so this episode's gonna be full of we're I mean, I want you to like kind of break down what you're talking about because I think sometimes people don't even know that this is possible in the world and how to do this, but also like how someone could get started with it. Um, but tell us your story and what got you here.

SPEAKER_01:

Yeah, so I've always loved to travel and we were the typical family that would just take like one trip a year, save up all of our money for that one trip, book the cheapest flight we could find at 5 a.m., stay at the holiday inn for free breakfast, you know, just like it just didn't feel fun when you went. It was still restrictive, you still stressed about the cost. Um, if it was a bigger trip, you would save up for a long time. And I was pregnant with our first daughter, and I just really wanted something different from her. I wanted to be able to just say, hey, let's go on a trip this weekend or something like that. And so um I just started learning travel points. I dove into it, I figured out how to do it, and I learned it's just everyday expenses and leveraging that. And now we're able to take six trips. My daughter, we're about to leave in a couple of days for another trip. It's gonna be, I think, her eighth flight, and she's three years old. Um, and so our life just looks so different than it used to.

SPEAKER_00:

Okay, so this is this is crazy because I have followed you for about a year, probably, maybe less a little less than a year. And I've always been into travel hacking. Like I've always like, oh, let's sign up for a credit card, get the extra points, go on the vacation. But you're next level, Megan. Like now that I've followed you for a while, I'm like, this girl is taking this, it's not just like, oh, go stay at a Marriott in Arizona. This is like high-end luxury vacations. And from what I can tell on your social media, you live a very simple life. It's not like you're like going out and spending a bunch of money to do this. And so I am actually, I need to get into your membership. I need to, I need to become a member because, like I said, this is something that's always intrigued me and I've always wanted to do it better, but like you're you're doing it. And I am here to say for anybody who's listening, like Megan knows what she's talking about because I I've watched her take these vacations.

SPEAKER_01:

Well, thank you. And the crazy thing is it didn't start out with like luxury travel. Like, I just wanted to be able to like pay for my flights and like little things like that. And it's turned into your mind just gets so like expansive as you get into this to see, like, oh, it's totally possible to apply first class on vacations and stay in some of these luxury places that I would have never been able to afford and still would not pay to stay at. But I mean, there's so much more that's possible with travel points.

SPEAKER_00:

Yeah, and I think it's so often as you know, we just think that vacations have to cost five to ten thousand dollars, right? Like, in order for me to I can play on one vacation a year with my family and it's gonna cost us thousands of dollars. But like, that's not the case, what you're saying. That's not the case.

SPEAKER_01:

No, my goal is to like 90% of the time, our vacations cost us less than a hundred dollars. Like, that's kind of my goal is to keep them under a hundred.

SPEAKER_00:

What? Like with the taxes, like you're paying taxes on the flights or what?

SPEAKER_01:

Yeah, you're just paying taxes and fees on the flight, on the flights.

SPEAKER_00:

Wow. Wow. So I obviously we have I have four children. Is it possible? Like, could we actually do this? Could I travel hack with the four kids and get an all expense paid? Yes. Okay, absolutely.

SPEAKER_01:

You can go anywhere in the US for less than uh$12 per person.

SPEAKER_00:

Wow. Okay, so someone's listening is like, for me, like, yeah, I've I've known about this for a while, but maybe somebody doesn't know about it. Tell us what it like, what does it even mean? What do you even mean when you talk about travel hacking?

SPEAKER_01:

Yeah, so it's really just a simple switch of not using your debit card anymore. I haven't used my debit card in I don't even know how many years. Because when you go to the grocery store and you buy your groceries with your debit card and you swipe it, the only thing you're getting in return is the thing that you bought, your groceries. But when you're using a travel credit card, when you swipe it, you're earning points that literally can save you thousands, thousands of dollars a year. And so it's really just like I break it down simply. It's just get rid of your debit card, start using your credit card, and then we can start learning how to use the points after that. But I mean, you're spending money every day anyway. Why not leverage that to earn you more money?

SPEAKER_00:

Okay, but this is when you're talking about travel hacking, this is more than just like using a credit card, the same credit card over and over again, right? Because a lot of the times the credit card bonuses come from when you first sign up for it. So can you speak to that a little bit?

SPEAKER_01:

Yeah. So when you sign up for a new card, the bank is basically incentivizing you to open a card. They want your business. And so they say, Hey, when you open up my card, I'm gonna give you a large chunk of points. And this can be like 80, 90, 100,000 points when you spend a certain money in a certain time frame. And this typically looks like$4,000 in three months,$2,000 in three months. Um, so you really don't have to spend a lot of money. People think I spend thousands of dollars a year, like Rachel said. I live a simple life. Me and my husband are cattle ranchers, we live in the middle of nowhere, we don't have restaurants, we don't have like grocery stores, like we don't spend a lot of money. And so we just chase these signup bonuses. So I know it sounds a little crazy, but I typically open up a new credit card about every two to three months. And so does my husband, but we're trying to get these signup bonuses, and so we end up at the end of the year with about a million credit card points, and that's how we're able to travel so much. And I have students that are like, I just want to take one big trip. You can get away with opening like two or three new cards every year. You don't have to go crazy like we do. Um, but I promise you, once you start doing this new hobby, you'll get addicted and start opening up new credit cards.

SPEAKER_00:

Okay, yes, like, yeah, 100%. This is again, like this is something that I'm like, I need to get more into this, especially since I run a business. It's like I can rack up. Yeah, especially fast. Um, but I also want to acknowledge this is the Money Mom podcast. We do talk about debt, we talk about money, and we talk about racking up credit card debt. It can be very easy and it's a slippery slope. So I I want to say to the listener here, like, you know your weaknesses, you know what you can handle and what you can't handle. This does, it's not like as simple as like signing up for a card and not thinking about it. Like, it does take a little bit more work, right? It takes a little bit more tracking, especially when it comes to annual fees, being careful that you're not getting tacked with a bunch of annual fees. That can you speak to that as well?

SPEAKER_01:

Yeah. So when you have these cards, you obviously we're not trying to spend any extra money than we already would. We're not trying to go into debt. So you're paying these cards off in full every single month. No debt, no interest, no late fees, nothing like that. You're being very smart with it. You can put it on auto pay if it's like something you're worried about paying. A lot of my students do that, um, or just paying it off every month. And then I'm only spending on one credit card at a time. It's the one I open. So I have 12 credit cards in my wallet, but I'm only ever spending on the one that I just opened so that I'm not having 12 credit card payments and getting lost and like missing one potentially. So I keep it really simple and spend on one. But like Rachel said, like you know yourself. If you think like if you have a credit card in your hand, you're gonna swipe it more often than not, then maybe that's not for you. But just thinking that every time you use it, it's a debit card. Like this is the money that I have. I don't even think about it as a credit card. Like I just, it's my debit card to me. Right. And so just being really conscious of this is the money that I have to spend in my account, and I'm sticking to my monthly budget.

SPEAKER_00:

Right. And like when you're looking at the signup bonuses, like if you have to spend$3,000 in two months or three months or whatever, you should know what your normal life expenses are. And if it's more than that, then don't do it. Don't sign up for a card that is gonna require you to spend more. That's never smart. We never want to do that. So you know whether or not you could hit the sign-up bonuses, but it's really simple things like your groceries. You know, if you're spending$1,000 a month on groceries, like that helps you hit it. Maybe you switch over when you get a new card, you switch over your utility bill. You switch over some auto pay bills to that credit card, and then and then everything's on that credit card. Then when you open up a new credit card, then you move everything, and that's where the work is kind of like requiring you to switch some payments around. But other than that, there's not like it's not like massive overhauls.

SPEAKER_01:

No, it's really not. And I actually really love the like the budgeting part of it because I was never like a budget person. I didn't really know how much money we were spending a month. And a lot of my students now, like when I bring them in, I say, let's sit down and figure out your monthly budget and what you guys are spending. So that way you do know what sign up bonuses you can hit. And so I actually find that you really start tracking your expenses even more once you start travel hacking.

SPEAKER_00:

Oh, yeah, because it keeps you on top of everything.

SPEAKER_01:

Yeah.

SPEAKER_00:

No, there's no like random charges to your credit card anymore.

SPEAKER_01:

Yeah.

SPEAKER_00:

Interesting, interesting. Okay, so um I, my family next year were trying to plan some trips. Uh, one of the trips we're trying to plan, my parents are serving an LDS mission in Portugal. So Brad and I just decided last night that we're gonna take the kids out to visit them. We're gonna go see, you know, they're there, we have a place to stay. It'd be so fun to go kind of experience a new culture. But that's in February. It's now October. Do I have can you like walk me through? Could I sign up for something in the meantime and be able to pay that trip?

SPEAKER_01:

Yeah, you can do it actually a lot faster than you think you could. You could easily get your flights and your, I mean, if you need a hotel paid for also. Um, but yeah, like just getting some chase points. I love Chase, it's a great beginner card. Um, there's so many different partners. And the things with these point cards is like if you open up a Chase card, you have so many options on how you can use those points. You can transfer them to Southwest Airlines or United Airlines, like you have all these options versus if you had just like a Southwest credit card and you were only earning Southwest points. So I would say like 100% open some Chase cards. There's some business cards right now with an elevated offer. Grab those, transfer them over to United and book a flight. You guys could easily fly over four of you guys to um Portugal and have an amazing vacation in February.

SPEAKER_00:

Wow. Wow. Okay. I mean, I'm gonna do it. I I'm I actually am today. Once we get off this, once we get off this call, I'm gonna join your membership because I I know I want to do this. And especially for someone who like for me, like we haven't traveled a lot with our kids. You know, it's all it's a lot of it has been driving in the car and like staying at a hotel. We haven't done a lot of flying, but as my kids get older, I'm realizing like this is the way to travel without spending a bunch of money. Like, we took our kids to Florida over the summer and we didn't pay a dime. We used all of it, all of it was on point. So we got to go do this amazing family vacation that brought so many memories. And we didn't pay anything for it. And that's the beauty. So, Megan also, I have to say, she came into the Money Mom Club. We did a masterclass. If you're a member, you can go in, it's under the masterclass replays, um, where she kind of walked through this process on how to do it. She also gave us a little hack with our ch with a Chase card that she walked me through. And I just have to give you a follow-up on that on the call. So she taught me how to get more bang for my buck, basically, with my cards. Because I was I was using points one for one, like one dollar for one point. And she taught me how I can like get more like more with those points. And I have been following the deals that Chase does. Like, sometimes Chase will be like, Your points are worth 80% more when you transfer to Marriott this month. They'll just do like a 30-day rolling thing. I have gotten so many free nights with Marriott because of that hack. And you like it was like just a testament to what you're doing. I'm like, this is so freaking valuable. This is so valuable.

SPEAKER_01:

Yeah. Yeah, you can turn your points into so much more when you know what you're doing with. Um, I was actually just teaching a masterclass on this a little while ago, and I spent 90,000 points on my vacation last month, which is valued at$900 if you cashed it out. Um, and I turned that$900 into$7,000 worth of travel at an all-inclusive resort.

SPEAKER_00:

Wow. Wow. Yeah. Okay. So I'm thinking about what people are thinking. And one of the things, one of the objections I get when I talk to people is what do I do about my credit score? Like, does this screw up my credit score, opening credit cards, canceling credit cards? Like, tell can you can you talk about that?

SPEAKER_01:

Yep. Yeah, this is the number one question I get as well. So uh yeah, you think I have 12 credit cards in my wallet, my credit score must be awful. It's actually an 800 plus credit score. And my credit score has gone up significantly since starting this. The amount of credit cards that you have or the amount of credit really doesn't have that much of an impact on your credit score. It's you making those payments on time. And when you continue to make payments on time over and over again and paying your cards off in full, it actually significantly increases your credit score. Um, my husband, when we first started this, he couldn't even get approved for a credit card. Like he had such a bad credit score. And I was struggling to get him a card. So I actually added him as an authorized user, um, built up his credit a little bit, started with like a credit building credit card for him. Um, and now he has 13 credit cards in his wallet and he has an 800 plus credit score. His credit score went up almost a hundred points in a year and a half. So it's actually the opposite of it. It will increase your credit score when you do it correctly.

SPEAKER_00:

Okay. So and and then when you when you cancel a credit card, how does that affect your credit score?

SPEAKER_01:

Yeah, so you never want to cancel a card that you've opened with less than a year of having that credit card. You always want to have it open at least a year because that will have a negative impact on your credit score. If you're like churning and burning, basically, they don't want you doing that. So you always want to keep it open longer than a year. And I've opened, I think like 14 credit cards in the last three or four years. And I've only closed two credit cards. So most of the cards I'm keeping in my wallet, most of my cards are less than like a hundred dollar annual fees. A lot of them are zero dollar annual fees. So I don't have like tons of high annual fee cards. Um, the ones that I do open with high annual fees, I tend to close them after like a year or two, but most of them I keep in my wallet.

SPEAKER_00:

Yeah, yes. Cause that's the thing is when I was looking up some of these credit cards to pay for our vacation, they were like$800, like$795 annual fees. And is just the price you pay to play the game?

SPEAKER_01:

Not for those. No, I I'm a big person that's like against. I actually just opened like my highest annual fee card after four years. Um, and there were reasons for it. But even then, I was still like, oh, do I really want to do this? And so I none of my students have high annual fee credit cards. Most of the ones they're opening up are, like I said, under$100.

SPEAKER_00:

Yeah. And and you can, if you do have a high annual fee, because we have had some cards that were not high, but like$200 or whatever a year, you can call the credit card company and without canceling the credit card, you can downgrade to a free card and they'll do that easily, and then it doesn't affect your credit score.

SPEAKER_01:

Yeah. And there's also a little hack you can do every year that your credit card is up for the annual fee. You can actually call and ask for it's called a retention offer. And sometimes they will either waive your sign-up or your annual fee, or they'll give you a new sign-up bonus. And so you can earn another like large chunk of points. And so it'll make it worth keeping that annual fee card.

SPEAKER_00:

Yeah, it's totally playing the game. Just doing what you want. Definitely. Yeah. And there's really honestly, there's nothing wrong with having a like I have some credit cards that literally just sit in my drawer. I have a Discover card that's been open for 10 years. I never use it. I never like I don't even check the balance. It just sits in my it sits in my drawer. And they send me a new card whenever it expires, but I just keep it open because it's part of my credit history. And so there's nothing.

SPEAKER_01:

Yeah, you always want to keep the card that you've had open the longest. Yeah. You always want to keep that open for your credit score.

SPEAKER_00:

Yeah, I have a couple American Expresses that I opened when I was like 18, and I think they're they're still open. Like I don't check it, but I'm pretty sure they're still open and it's great. Yeah. Yeah. So this is so it's a great way to build your credit to get points and to just take what you're doing normally day to day, adding them in and getting the bonuses and traveling for free. I'm telling you, like I was introduced to this as a young adult when we first got married, and it like blew my mind that this was an opportunity. And I just don't think people know about it.

SPEAKER_01:

Like, I just don't think it's like they don't, it's not talked about nearly enough. Like, I mean, I didn't realize this was a thing until I was almost 30 years old. My husband was almost 40. Like, it's just not talked about. And then most people are like, oh, well, that must just be a scam. And so a lot of people are turned off by it. But it's it's real and it's so valuable.

SPEAKER_00:

You know what's a scam? Do you want to talk about what's actually a scam? Is that these credit cards love getting you in debt and charging 20 to 25% interest? Like the credit card companies are a scam. And this is, I mean, I feel very justified in a way to fight back of like you guys are willing to let anyone and everyone own a credit card and go into debt. So you have to incentivize people to open up these credit cards. Well, I'm gonna take that and run with it. You know, I'm gonna make sure I get the most out of that.

SPEAKER_01:

Yep. I'm gonna use the system to the best of my advantage.

SPEAKER_00:

Yeah, and it's not I will just say it's not illegal. There's nothing like no credit card companies know people are doing this. They know you're doing it, they're okay with that. It's the game that they're playing as well, in order to get their card in more hands. Yeah.

SPEAKER_01:

Yeah, I've actually um like because sometimes they'll call me to ask me, like, why are you opening up another business card or whatever? Like, what's your reasoning? And you have to give it before they'll give you approval. And I've literally said, like, I just want some more travel points.

unknown:

Yeah.

SPEAKER_01:

And then like, okay, great. What do you do for a living? And I was like, I teach people how to use travel points. I'm like, well, okay, you've been approved. I'm shocked. But I literally tell them that's my reason.

SPEAKER_00:

Yeah, yeah. Okay, so here's another another thing that I'm sure people will run into. So you can open up a personal credit card, and then a lot of the times the business credit cards end up being higher reward points, like they'll give you a higher percentage or higher sign-on bonus. What do you do when people like technically don't own a business? How do you do further on that?

SPEAKER_01:

So I truly believe that every single person should open up business credit cards and add that to their credit card strategy. Like Rachel said, they give you higher signup bonuses. Like one of my favorite ones right now has a signup bonus of 90,000 points for a zero dollar annual fee, which is like wait, what card is that? It's the Chase Inc. business card. There's two of them.

SPEAKER_00:

Oh, okay, yeah, yeah, yeah.

SPEAKER_01:

There's a cash and an unlimited. You can have both, you can have multiple of them for multiple businesses. What? So I have them several times for different businesses, but everyone can qualify. So, like you hear business card and you're like, oh, I have to have like an LLC with an EIN, and that's great if you do, but you could sell one t-shirt on Facebook Marketplace and sign up under your social security number, under your name as the business. If you coach your kids' soccer team, if you do network marketing on the side, like and people who sell eggs at the farmers market, like any little side thing that brings you money, whether it's a dollar or a hundred dollars, you are eligible for these credit cards. And once you sign up for them, they don't care how you use them. So you can put your personal expenses on the business cards. Um, but it's a great way to leverage more points.

SPEAKER_00:

Yeah. And you don't need an EI, you don't have to be an LLC, you don't have to be an established business, you don't have to have an EIN number. When they ask for the EIN number, you can just put your social security number in.

SPEAKER_01:

Yeah.

SPEAKER_00:

I learned that as well. So my muddy moms who are listening, go to the side hustle course, look through a side hustle. I mean, Facebook Marketplace is a super easy way. If you've sold one thing on Facebook Marketplace, you could categorize yourself as an online business and you're good.

SPEAKER_01:

100%.

SPEAKER_00:

Yeah. So definitely look at the business cards. I I I know people shy away from those because they don't think they own a business, but it you're gonna get more if you sign up for the business accounts as well. Cool. Okay, so if someone's like, I'm I am, I want to do this. What card are would you recommend the Chase Inc. right now? That's the card. It changes, it always changes, right?

SPEAKER_01:

Yeah, it's always changing. Um, I recommend the Chase Sapphire Preferred card only because if you just have the Chase Inc card, you can't actually use the points the right way. You have to have the Chase Sapphire Preferred to be able to pull the points too. So that's the first card everyone should get, everyone should have in their wallet. Chase points, like I said, they're great beginner-friendly. They have great transfer partners. Hyatt and Southwest are like the top two in my book. Um, get that card. And then after that, you could start adding some more of those Chase Inc. business cards to it, and then you can pull all of your points together on the one card.

SPEAKER_00:

Yeah, but it does change, and that's what's the benefit of following someone like Megan, because like the sometimes there are deals where you're like, you have to get this card right now because it's 120 sign-up bonus points and like it's only lasting for 30 days. So you kind of play around with what's going on. I think at the end of the year, a lot of cards do a lot of bonuses. Is that correct?

SPEAKER_01:

Yeah, there's like a ton out right now.

SPEAKER_00:

Yeah, yeah. And one of the ones that you should look for right now, I mean, this this episode's coming out at the end of October. Um, but the Southwest card will do their companion deal. Yeah. Um, Brad and I did that in 2023, and we then he got the companion pass. I literally haven't paid for a flight when I've traveled with Brad for two years. Like anytime we've traveled together, I have flown for free on Southwest. That is thousands, like literally, we've planned trips just because you don't have to pay. So we've got thousands of dollars because of that.

SPEAKER_01:

There's a bonus right now for the Southwest Business Card. You get 120,000 points, and then right after that, you'll have your companion pass also. So it's a great way. I have a lot of students that have like two kids, and so each parent will get the companion pass and then they'll take each kid for free. So they're only paying for two tickets every single time they fly, and it's literally saves you so much money.

SPEAKER_00:

Yeah, yeah, and it's easy. And that I think the minimum spend on that is like three thousand dollars. It's like so easy. Yeah, that's yeah, it's super, super low. Yeah. So, but this is the thing about this, is it's not, it is simple, but it is like there's it's a lot, right? And it can get overwhelming and it can feel like going out and doing this on your own. Like you can lose money if you don't do this correctly. So you have to do it correctly. So that following someone like Megan, listening, Megan, you have a podcast, correct? Okay, so tell us to paradise. Yeah, tell us about your podcast, tell us about your social media, all of that.

SPEAKER_01:

Yeah, so like she said, definitely you want to follow uh other points people because otherwise you're gonna spend hours Googling and you'll get different answers on different things. And so really knowing how it all works and the elevated offers and stuff like that. But uh, I have a podcast that's called Points to Paradise, where it's all about traveling on points. I do destination reviews, I do like deep dives into specific cards, um, frequently asked questions, all of that kind of stuff. So when you need like the nitty-gritty type of things, you can find all that on the podcast.

SPEAKER_00:

And I mean, this is you could consider this a side hustle for your family, right? Like if you've if you've traveled$25,000 worth of of dollars and you haven't paid that this year, that's a part-time job, right? Yeah. So if you're a mom and you're like, I want to do a side hustle, but I don't know where to start, like this is an easy place to start for sure.

SPEAKER_01:

Yeah, this is a great place to start, and it's so much fun.

SPEAKER_00:

And and you also have a community. So can you tell us what you do inside your community? And we'll put the link, we'll put all of her links below to the podcast, to her community, to her Instagram, all of that um in the show notes. But can what do you what do you do inside the community that's different than what you do on the podcast?

SPEAKER_01:

Yeah, so the travel points lounge is my community. I really wanted a place. There's so many courses and so many resources out there that teach you travel points, but there's nothing that really helps you actually plan and book the vacation with your points. It's here's how to use your points, have fun on your vacations. And so I really wanted to help women actually plan the vacations and help them book it with the points and find those good deals because you can fly to Portugal for a hundred thousand points per person, or I can help Rachel fly to Portugal for like 20,000 points per person. So you can stretch your points even farther and get more trips out of it. And so I could create this community where we do monthly live calls, monthly, monthly QA's. You can ask questions at any time inside the Facebook group. Um, and we learn all the strategy of points, but we're actually in there booking vacations, they're helping each other plan, they're saying, Hey, I have a bunch of chase points, like where should I go next month? Or I want to take my kids on spring break, like what should I do? And so it's truly like the best community ever for travel out there.

SPEAKER_00:

Oh, I'm pumped. Um and you can come join me. I'm gonna be in there too. Megan's gonna help me. We actually, okay, so we want to go to Portugal in February, and then my sister and I are wanting to go to Cancun in June, but that's far enough away that I'm like, we can, we can we could totally paid for, we don't have to pay for that at all. So so I'm Cancun's an easy one. I know, right?

SPEAKER_01:

That's kind of what we're both she lives in Michigan, so it's like it's a pretty easy place for us both to get to, and then yeah, it's I mean, there's so many places to stay, we can totally get yeah, and it's just fun to see where everyone's going and staying, and like we have a whole destination vault with like the reviews of the different hotels people have stayed at and stuff. We've got Tokyo, Puerto Rico, Michigan, Florida, like there's so many amazing trips. Like, I even live through my students just to see where they go.

SPEAKER_00:

Yeah, right. It's so cool, so cool. And and if this is a world that you're just tapping into, Megan's the person to go to. She is she's great. There's a lot of big names on Instagram, but I sometimes feel like there's they're just like again, it's like a gift to pay a course, or it's like a do-it-yourself kind of thing. Like the high touch that you provide, what I've seen on from what I've seen inside your membership and on social media, like that's what that's what I want. I don't want to just like have to go figure this out myself. I want somebody to like tell me exactly what cards to do, how to how to do it. So Megan's a role.

SPEAKER_01:

Well, thank you.

SPEAKER_00:

Okay, well, um, if you're a Money Mom Club member, you can go watch that masterclass if you want to learn more about this or go follow Megan's podcast. Is there anything that we miss that you want to share with our listeners today, Megan?

SPEAKER_01:

No, the only thing I just say to people is I hear so many people say, like, oh, I'll do it one day, or I'll do it when I retire, or I'll travel when the kids get older. Like, we're always putting it off, and we know how much time we have on this earth. And your kids grow up so fast, and they're gonna be 18, and you're gonna be like, I never got to even take trips with them. And so just do it now. Like, stop putting it off, start earning the points now. In three literally three months, you could be on a free vacation. Like, that's how quickly these points can accumulate. And so just stop putting off the vacations because you're really missing out on memories.

SPEAKER_00:

Yeah, I can't I can't speak to that enough. Like, I I've I've been posting a little bit about my kids are my youngest is almost five, and I'm feeling that now where I'm like, I only have I can't I can't even talk about it, it makes me cry. I know we have like 10 years left with my kids, and so like I'm like, we have to do the we have to book the vacations, we have to make the memories because soon they're gonna all be out of the house, and then it's like, yeah, then what? You know, I mean, yeah, I can travel with Brad and that'll be amazing too, but it's not the same, it's not the same.

SPEAKER_01:

Yeah, so I did a post the other day, and I was like, I hope. Like in 20 years that my daughter books a vacation with her husband and her family and like invites me to because we've always traveled together and stuff. So like that's like my long term like vision for us.

SPEAKER_00:

Oh, she will. She's gonna be a travel hacker 2.0. Oh, yeah. Love it. Well, thank you so much for being here today, Megan. Thank you for introducing us to this new world. And um, I just wish you the best in everything that you do.

SPEAKER_01:

Yeah, thanks for having me.
