In this episode, I'm sharing three real ways that moms inside our community are bringing in an extra $50, $500, even $5,000 a month from home, on their own schedule, without having to go back to a 9 to 5.

We cover:

  • The easiest place to start (and why you probably have hundreds of dollars sitting in your house right now)
  • How I went from selling meal plan guides on Instagram to building a business that has generated almost seven figures for my family
  • The side hustle that I think is one of the most underrated opportunities for moms in 2026
  • What actually made the difference when I stopped spinning my wheels and started making real income

These aren't theories. These are things real women in our community are doing right now.

If you've ever felt like budgeting harder is the only option, this episode is going to open up a whole new way of thinking about your finances.

The Leaky Bucket Money Picture

SPEAKER_00

What if the answer to your money stress wasn't always about cutting back more, but actually making more money? Because here's the thing, what I want you to understand before we dive into this video. I want you to imagine that your finances are like a bucket and water is pouring into that bucket every single month, which is your income. And our goal is to keep as much water in the bucket as possible. But the problem with the bucket is that it has holes in it. And these holes where water is just seeping out every month are your expenses. You probably have some big holes, maybe like your mortgage or your health insurance or even your groceries. And then you probably have some smaller holes where just little expenses are going out every single month. That water is leaving your bucket. And so, in order for us to get more financially controlled and have extra water or money in your bucket at the end of the month, we can focus on two things. The first thing would be to plug up the holes, focus on intentional spending, focus on cutting back, focus on budgeting in order to keep money in the bucket. But the problem is with that, is that you can only plug up so many holes in your bucket. At some point, we're gonna have to think about adding more water to the bucket as well. And I think that most women underutilize option number two in order to create more money in their bank account, which is increasing the water flowing in, bringing in more money to your bucket. So today that's what I want to talk about. I want to talk about simple, easy ways that a mom who wants to be home with her children can bring in an extra 50, 100, 500, even $5,000 a month by simple, easy tasks where you don't have to go out and get a job, where you can work on your own time when you want and make as much money as you want. So that's what today's video is going to be about.

Three Realistic Side Hustles

SPEAKER_00

So stay tuned. When I was a young mom of two kids, I now have four children. When I had my second daughter, I had this moment of clarity where I realized there are two levers I can pull to help our financial situation. I can get really intentional with our money and I can budget and I can restrict, or I can create ways to make money, to bring in extra money. And I have a whole video that I put out last week about my journey, where I started, how I created an online business. And you can go look at that whenever you want. But today I want to share three ways that I help money mom club members go out and make real extra money from home. And these aren't just theories, these aren't just ways that I think you could make money. These are actual ways that our mom members are doing it right now. So let's get

Sell Items On Marketplace Fast

SPEAKER_00

into it. Side hustle number one is to sell stuff, whatever it is, on Facebook Marketplace. This is where I always tell moms to start because it's a really easy, low barrier to entry of anything that I'm going to talk about today. I am willing to bet that right now in your house, you have hundreds, if not thousands of dollars worth of things that you are not using that someone else would like to buy. We're talking old clothes, furniture that you don't use, kids' toys that you've outgrown, exercise equipment, home decor that you've swapped out. I promise it's sitting there, and someone out there wants to buy it and wants to use this. Now we created this as a fun challenge inside the Money Mom Club where we challenged them to get on Facebook Marketplace and sell old things that they had. And within two weeks, we had dozens of members bringing in hundreds of dollars. In fact, we had a lady who found some old dishes that she realized were more valuable than she thought. And so she sold them on eBay for $600. And the truth is, you don't have to use Facebook Marketplace if you're intimidated by that. You can use Poshmark to sell old clothes. You can use eBay. There are literally so many platforms out there. You just have to pick one and get started. And it gets so fun when you start making good money. And if you wanted to take this a step further, which is what I did, you can start repurposing old furniture. I was finding furniture for free, or people were giving it away. And I would refinish it, paint it, and make it look completely different. And then I'd sell it for like $500 a piece. In fact, I think I sold a dresser that I had sanded and repainted and then put new handles on as well. I sold it for $800. And it was so fun because it was creative for me. It was enjoyable. I would like literally plug in a podcast and then start sanding. And I would spend hours doing this on my own free time when my husband was home with the kids and I was making real money. So if this sounds fun to you, if it sounds fun to pull in some extra money, start with selling on Facebook Marketplace. Now, side hustle number two is a little bit

Start A Simple Online Business

SPEAKER_00

bigger. It's a little bit more hefty of a side hustle, but I truly believe it's one of the most powerful things that you can do for your financial future. And that is starting an online business. So I started my online business in 2020 and I was selling meal plan guides. That was it. Something super simple that I was already doing for my family, which was meal planning. And I went on Canva and I created the guides and I sold them on Instagram. And I think I made $2,000 the first time I sold those guides. And then from there, I built a membership to help people save money on groceries. And now, six years later, I run a full-on coaching program where I help women feel peaceful and confident and in control of their money by rewiring their brain and nervous system on how they feel and think about money. The truth is though, it started small. It started really simple and then it grew. And it now has created almost seven figures for my family. And I know you could do it too if you wanted to. You can create courses, you can create coaching programs, you can create memberships, and you can literally build a brand around your name and knowledge and get paid for it. Now, I do want to be honest with you that it wasn't all rainbows and butterflies. Like I spent years spinning my wheels trying to figure this out on my own. I had the drive, I had the desire, but I didn't know exactly what to do. And I didn't have the roadmap. And it wasn't until I joined a business program that actually taught me how to do this correctly that things finally started to shift and I actually started making real sustainable income.

Free Business Training Invitation

SPEAKER_00

Which is why I want to tell you about something that's happening next week. My coach and mentor, someone that I've worked very closely with the past four years, is hosting a free training for anyone to join called the Business Breakthrough Experience. This is for anyone who wants to start, grow, or scale an online business. It's literally for anyone who's interested. And I cannot recommend this training enough because he is going to give you more value in those three days than most business programs will charge you thousands of dollars for. And I go to this training every single year because I know how valuable it is and I've never missed it. So the link for that is in the description. I highly recommend if this side hustle sounds like a good idea to you, go sign up for that training.

Virtual Assistant Work From Home

SPEAKER_00

Side hustle number three is to become a virtual assistant. In 2026, I think this is one of the most accessible ways to make money from home as a mom. Because here's the reality: business owners, myself included, we need help on the back end. These are things like scheduling, managing emails, customer service, social media support, and then other like basic admin tasks, things that are actually super manageable and really easy to accomplish, but they take time. And time is something that most business owners don't have enough of. So that's where you would come in. Becoming a virtual assistant does not require you to have years of experience or to know every piece of software out there. All you need to be is just organized, dependable, and willing to learn and work with someone. And the greatest thing about becoming a virtual assistant is that you can do it from home and on your own schedule and you can make really good money. Now, we had a training about becoming a virtual assistant in the Money Mom Club, and a woman made over $2,000 her first month as a virtual assistant, one month in. And these opportunities are seriously everywhere. You can work for local businesses, you can work for online businesses, you can work for coaches, you can work for consultants, you can work for e-commerce brands. If you don't want to be on camera or build your own thing, but you want to make real money from home, becoming a virtual assistant is seriously one of the easiest places to start. And like I said, we have a whole training on that in the Money Mom Club. If you want to join us, I'll put the link for that in the description

Recap And Next Steps

SPEAKER_00

as well. So here's the recap: three ways to start making extra money as a mom from home on your own time. One, sell your stuff. Facebook Marketplace, Poshmark, eBay, you can choose what you want to sell. And I promise you can get started and make good money right within your first week. Number two, something that takes a little bit more time, but start your own online business. It is one of the best ways to build your financial stability long term. Build something around what you know, what you love, what you're good at. Start small and it will grow over time. And option number three, become a virtual assistant. You help other business owners with what they don't have time for, where you can make really good money on a flexible schedule. These are not pipe dreams, these are things real women are doing in our community right now and they're making good money. So let me know if you have any questions. I can't wait to hear about your side hustle, and I can't wait to see you at the business breakthrough experience happening on June 11th. I'll see you guys in the next video.
