A Diabetes Cure? Let’s Talk About It

News of an ongoing clinical trial has taken the diabetes community by storm. After receiving an islet cell transplant and a new anti-rejection drug called tegoprubart, at least six patients with type one diabetes are now producing their own insulin. 

The media is calling the treatment a "functional cure". But if you've lived with diabetes for a while, you might have a healthy dose of skepticism.
