Dr. Kasim completed a six-month silent meditation retreat in Myanmar (Burma) and has a TEDx talk, entitled “How mindfulness meditation redefines pain, happiness & satisfaction”.

MBSR is a well respected and researched program for working with stress, illness, thoughts/emotions, and demands of daily life.
Originally from Glasgow, Scotland, Joanna lives with her family in Vancouver, BC. While experiencing a few hard things all at the same time, Jo came to mindfulness trying to find some stillness in the chaos, and mend some broken parts. When not working in factual television, Jo can be found digging in her garden, mucking about in the forest and having adventures with family & friends.
