Back on the Mic
Speaker 1Welcome to Dadbods and Dumbbells. My name is Mitch.
Speaker 2Hey, I'm Bart.
Speaker 1We're back. Whoa, we've never left, but we did take a few weeks off because we were tired of each other, so that's how it worked.
Speaker 2I just wanted Mitch to get stronger before I got back on the mic with him.
Speaker 1He thought I looked pretty pathetic and so we did one big lift on like a couple weeks ago on a Friday, and he's like all right, let's do it again. Okay, mitch, we're back, baby I love that Mitch.
Speaker 2No matter how hard I work, he's always going to be stronger than me.
Speaker 1That's the goal. I'm going to be one step ahead of you.
Speaker 2It's just one of those things where it's like you know what? He's a gladiator, he's a barbarian and I'm like an archer. That's just like the body type.
Speaker 1That's why I started lifting, because I on Insta, because you tag me in everything. Oh, my goodness, so, so homoerotic Is that? What it is you send me all the things that you tag me. I'm like what are people going to start talking? You tag me in every bodybuilding lifting thing and I'm like oh, my goodness. Anyway, we can talk about it a little deeper.
Speaker 2It's called accountability. Oh, is that what it is? Because I this, because I don't think you're right to you. I mean a little bit. I'm not flexing, I mean it's a little it's a little sexy.
Speaker 1I definitely, I definitely don't mind it. There's nothing sexy about it. It's just old guy doing work, guys with age man, it's good.
Sponsor Spotlight
Speaker 1It's good, it's like a fine wine, fine wine, you look good, all right. So we are back and we're going to talk a little bit about our powerlifting show coming up. We're going to talk a little NBA playoffs, a little new show that we found that we like, I hope, because I know the guy that did it and I know a couple other things about it and I'd love to talk about it. But before then, let's talk about our sponsors.
Speaker 1Oh yeah, because we know Bart has seen some amazing gains in his powerlifting competition lead up, and that's because of Lift Big, eat Big. Lead up, and that's because of lift big, eat big. Thank you, james, coach, james, uh, check out, lift big, eat big. If you want to lift big and you want to eat big, that's the place to go.
Speaker 2Well, the things I love about lift big, eat big and just James in general is like just understanding the science of like getting stronger. It's not necessarily about like pushing heavier and heavier weight, it's about moving the bar faster and faster. It's about programming programming well so we don't get injured. All that kind of stuff really, uh was eye-opening in terms of like how I look at strength training and how I look at like progressions and things like that. Uh, you know, coming out of, you know, coming from the bodybuilding space and kind of building muscle versus just building like raw strength been a cool switch. So highly recommend that guy.
Speaker 1Smart as hell, really fun to work with him I think what's been cool is to watch you, as a coach, be coached and so when we work out together at los campeonios or the atx, you, uh, you are impressive. I mean it really is cool to see how strict you are with following all the rules and it's like it's cool to see how you progress. But uh, lift biggie, big, check it out and if you have any problems with hair loss, weight loss not anymore, not anymore, no baby oh man thank you solutions pharmacy.
Speaker 1My hair is growing back with a fury. My wife told me the other day that it's actually working, and I actually don't like wearing hats anymore because I want to show off my luscious locks. Uh, yeah. So thank you, solutions pharmacy, if you're dealing with weight loss.
Speaker 2Most importantly to me, besides my wife noticing my hairdresser, my hair. The lady cuts my hair. I don't know if he's a hairdresser.
Speaker 1Hairdresser, whatever they call him From the 1950s. Well, I get to the perm.
Speaker 2She was like oh look.
Speaker 1She saw it, she was impressed. Well, my hairdresser her name is Morgan and she has a nose ring and she didn't say anything when she got back.
Speaker 2It's not that impressive.
Speaker 1I have this deal where I'm like, just take off the sides, don't touch the top.
Speaker 2To be fair, she sees like 150 to 200 scalps before you come back for another trim.
Speaker 1Yeah, but I have a ginger hair. It's pretty unique A ginger hair.
Speaker 2I got a ginger hair. You know, it's pretty unique A ginger hair. I got a ginger hairs. I got ginger hairs.
Speaker 1Anyway, all that to say, uh, solutions pharmacy. If you are looking to lose weight, if you're looking to gain hair and you're looking to get issues with your PP taken care of solutions pharmacies. And they have a many other things to enjoy, probably including peptides not including peptides.
Speaker 2Not including peptides, not sure, but we're gonna head there after. We're gonna do a mobile episode where we drive to solutions and uh chat with uh james montgomery, the owner of solutions, and just kind of find out what they're up to yeah, and we're hopefully gonna get more hair cream, because I'm addicted.
Speaker 2I might put it on my chest next I'm so surprised you didn't make a mention that when you talked about the dick uh pills, that you don't need them. I I kept waiting for you to like put that in there, like well, I don't need them.
NBA Playoff Analysis
Speaker 1But I mean, I would love to use them, I don't need them though. All that to say thank you, solutions pharmacy. You are a solution to every pharmacy. We love you. Wow that was amazingly and on today's show we are going to talk a little bit about the nba playoff, which. I'm excited to talk to you about, because it's been a couple weeks and my son and I have been watching religiously all the games.
Speaker 2Good.
Speaker 1I'm so glad the Celtics lost. I'm so pumped for the Knicks, but I'm a Pacers fan because I'm from Indiana, oh yeah. So let's talk about that game, because that's tonight the game one. Game one happened a ago with Oklahoma City and the Timberwolves. That was horrible to watch.
Speaker 2I didn't watch it at all.
Speaker 1Dude, I am so sick of SGA SKA. Whatever his name is, he does the foul baiting stuff. It is hard to watch basketball.
Speaker 2The problem is that people that are extremely competitive will look for every advantage. Chris Paul has done it his whole life, d-wade used to do it. Le Paul has done it his whole life. D-wade used to do it, lebron does it, luka does it. It's a thing that they do and it creates an advantage.
Speaker 1But as a fan watching it. You're like eh, he leans in to try to get it and throws it up. It's horrible. Anyway, all that to say, we're going to talk about the playoff pitcher.
Speaker 2I do think the Knicks Pacers series is going to be very interesting. I love Therese Halliburton. Halliburton's the man dude I liked him ever since he was on the Sacramento Kings and got traded.
Speaker 1Was he on the?
Speaker 2Kings. Somehow him and De'Aaron Fox couldn't coexist together.
Speaker 1I mean it was ridiculous. It doesn't seem like a Halliburton issue. He seems like a chill dude, but anyway, yeah, he's awesome. I've liked Halliburton ever since he posted a picture of his gold medal and said it's like getting an A in a group project because he didn't play at all.
Speaker 2He got a gold medal. Still, when everybody else did all the work, he still got the A. It was awesome. Yeah, he's awesome that way.
Speaker 1But also, like you know, he overrated player and then his dad like went off on like in front of uh, oh, my goodness, I love it all and I, I. Here's what I think he missed and this is why I wish I I could sign him into a literary contract because, uh, he missed the opportunity for merch, because it's number zero. He should have done the pacer zero and done overrated t-shirts, pacer style. When that came out, he should just had shirts that just said overrated.
Speaker 1He would have made a killing even though he doesn't need it, but it would have been super cool.
Speaker 2Well, dad could have done it. Yeah, he's more of a LeVar Ball dad who's going to profit off all of his sons.
Speaker 1I mean these max contracts, I mean these guys are going to be generationally wealthy.
Speaker 2Sure, it's wild, but hey you can spend all that money in less than a generation.
Speaker 1I would love to try, I would love to try, I would love to try.
Speaker 2Yeah, anyway you know, Brunson 30's, Halliburton, all that's going to be great.
Speaker 1How's the matchup you think? Do you think it's going to be good? I think it's going to be good.
Speaker 2I mean you've got Miles Turner, great big, you know kind of stuff, so you're gonna see some interesting matchups uh with this.
Speaker 1Uh, you know a lot of the role players uh just doing their thing all right, so let me tell you what bets I got going on this game. You ready um, this is obviously pick six, if you have a gambling problem, please call 1-800.
Speaker 2I'm a gambler. I would love for you.
Speaker 1I would love for draft picks to sponsor us, but this is draft picks. Pick six Ready, all right. So, jalen Brunson, I have more than 2.5 three-pointers. Hell yeah, yeah, of course, josh Hart less than 22.5 points plus rebounds, hoping he has a bad game.
Speaker 2Points plus rebounds yeah.
Speaker 1That's going to be a tough one, but according to his track record he's only done that twice in the last seven games. So Carl Anthony Towns more than 9.5 rebounds. Og used to be an Indiana Hoosier more than 18.5 points plus assists. Salaikum more than 25.5 points plus rebounds. And Halliburton more than 15.5 points. If I put five bucks down, if they all hit, I make $87.
Speaker 2I don't think you're going to win.
Speaker 1You don't think which one did I miss on?
Speaker 2A couple of those that I don't think are going to happen, Dude.
Speaker 1I need you just to look over my picks. This is horrible.
Speaker 2Okay, so after the Super Bowl You're just willy-nilly out there.
Speaker 1After the Oregon Ducks, after the Super Bowl and the Ducks, I had $200 in my account. I put like five bucks down in the Super Bowl, got like first touchdown, all those things, and I've been riding that money down to now I have $11 left. It is time.
Speaker 2It is time you get a lot of fun for that $200, right it's?
Speaker 1fun to just hit my head against the wall and my son be like Dad. What did you bet on? I'm like, I'm not betting. It's not betting.
Speaker 2It's different. It's fantasy sports. It's something else.
Speaker 1It's fantasy sports. I'm like son. How much money do you have in your piggy bank?
Speaker 2So Mitch is officially signed up for the Powerlifting.
Speaker 1Show oh yes.
Speaker 2He even ordered his singlet in the mail.
Speaker 1So they didn't have double x okay so I had to go with the titan that's fine anyway it fits me a little bit better. I haven't tried it on. It comes tomorrow and I can't wait to put it on and uh, you know, show it once.
Speaker 2You wear it on friday when we work out. Yes, are you gonna do yours? I'll wear mine too.
Speaker 1No, you're not, I'm not gonna wear mine so, uh, yeah, I officially signed up, I got my uh, I got my belt. I have my own power lifting belt now okay, I have a suit coming okay uh, I still need to sign up for the power lifting association which is coming, but yeah, this, this whole project part.
Speaker 2I don't pay for a gym membership either so it doesn't even factor in, but we're talking about this might be a 500 thing easily dude better to do a marathon, it's like 150, but bodybuilding show way more than that because all the food and like the, and like the oh yeah, like you're just the tan, and this and that and like the you know how much did you spend on your, on your bodybuilding show?
Speaker 1I mean?
Speaker 2you know just, you think of, you put all it together because it's weeks and weeks and weeks of, like you know, dieting, have a coach and, like you know, you're just. I mean, it's probably you know five to a thousand, but this kind of depends on what you're counting as like money towards the show and when you just, I mean, you can't, like you're just eating what you're gonna eat.
Speaker 2Yeah, normally messed up, maybe a little bit less, but it's more specific. I'm trying to think. I mean, you know, it's the same thing, like you have to sign up for the NPC and then you sign up for like which divisions you're going to do, and all those are like $150 to $200 a pop and then you've got to pay for the tan.
Speaker 1Do you have to tan?
Speaker 2Yes, you don't want to be the white boy out there. That would be kind of cool, because it doesn't. But the light doesn't reflect off your muscles. When you're tan, you look so much more ripped because all your muscles show way more. It's not just like a oh, I want to look darker, it's like an actual maybe I should get like slight of hand.
Speaker 1I'd look like I have a six pack and no more man boobies.
Speaker 2No, no uh to all the people who missed uh. Mitch and I just bantering about nothing welcome. This is about something.
Speaker 1It's about powerlifting, so okay. So let's, talk about where we're at, because I've been watching your videos that you tagged me, in which I made a point of beginning which thank you for including me in the. Accountability is so great. I started sharing a couple and I started realizing I was just sharing you lifting on my story on Instagram. So I stopped that completely and I appreciate you sharing where you're at because, dude, your gains have been incredible, especially on bench, dude, well it's interesting because you know, it's not that I could.
Speaker 2I couldn't have done two 45 before, like when we started, like I I could probably put that up for one. But I mean, I'm literally doing a two second pause now, like coming down, and so I this last, uh, yesterday or two days ago I I had a spotter who I knew, for he's a trainer, and I he said, okay, lift, and I brought it down and I held it there and then he waited for like a second and a half and he said lift, and you know, so it's like just going through that process of like unwrapping it, dropping it down, pausing until somebody tells you to lift, and then lifting it how long will that pause have to be?
Speaker 2really probably a second to if they're actually looking to make sure that you have no movement like so it has to reinstate, even if I'm not just there, but the legs, the feet have to be planted oh really right so all that is like they're looking for no movement in the body, the full, you know, coming down. I can send you the PDF for all, like, just you can read through the association rules.
Speaker 1We'll practice it on Friday.
Powerlifting Competition Prep
Speaker 2I need to really focus on that, so I mean, you know, with that type of precision form at 245, I couldn't have done that before. But what James is not doing is just like throwing a bunch of weight on there and let's see what you can do now, like he's just being very like in squat, we squat, I squatted 300 yeah, I saw that for for you know, sets of one and you know I never got stuck.
Speaker 2I never. You know it felt good, it's heavy, but but I know that's not my limit. I mean, but we're not probably we're not going to do 315 before the show. We're probably going to do 315 before the show. We're probably going to be.
Speaker 1What's your number? You think Realistically, you know what you're going to put up on the board, because we want to start getting on the board first, right, yeah, so.
Speaker 2I think what we're going to do is probably do my first attempt at 300. Okay. Second attempt around 315. Okay, Third attempt 325 or 330.
Speaker 1Yeah, you're not going to go like 350, try to push it.
Speaker 2I mean, you know, I think we'll see what the second, if we clear the second attempt, and I get you know, get counts, then you know I mean. But the other thing about the squat, it's the first lift and so like if you just gas out or hurt your knee or anything like or your back.
Speaker 1Then you got deadlift.
Speaker 2Deadlift's to hurt your knee or anything like, or your back, and then you got deadlift deadlifts next. No, no, it goes, it's sbd. I don't love. I don't love your frustration. I don't love your frustrated. Look here, bart squat. If anything, this is a good lesson in your patience, yeah, and your ability to bring somebody along with you.
Speaker 1Yeah, yeah, that's a great point.
Speaker 2You're doing great I just feel like you should know this by now. I have. We're two weeks from the show.
Speaker 2Dude, I don't know, so you squat first, then you bench, okay, give the legs a rest, and then you come back and you do the deadlifts at the end Deadlifts are last, deadlifts are last. So you have three attempts at squat and the general thought is, like, be a little bit conservative, like get your, get your numbers, but don't, like don't push so hard the day that either you, you know you pull yourself back or just get you know, just so, gas from the attempt that you're just like your nervous system's, like so I did we.
Speaker 1So you have to go so deep with your squat. It's terrifying. I did it at my house with my wife to show her what I have to do. I did 305, three sets of 305, three reps. I think I'll start 305. I think that's kind of my goal, and then I want to go to 400.
Speaker 2Like 305? To 400. Just jump to 400?. Jesus Christ no.
Speaker 1I'll listen to you Because technically you're my best trainer, even though you treat me like james is going to be there yeah, so I don't listen to me.
Speaker 2I would say you know, ask james james to watch your, your speed, yeah, and your form and and some other you know kind of indications of like what might be the next thing to go up to, but maybe go from 305 to 345 or, you know, I guess it's all in kilos. So you have to do like the, the equivalent of that. But yeah, and then, and then, based on how your second lift goes, you kind of interpret because if you, you have the second lift, you're just like and you're barely getting out of that squat, then you're like, okay, maybe 10 more pounds, 15 more pounds, but if you're just come to the bottom and just all this adrenaline, people are fucking screaming and you. But if you're just coming to the bottom and you're just all this adrenaline and people are fucking screaming, and you're like woo and you're just like gah and you're just like ogre, strength it up, and everyone's like Jesus woo, and you're like fuck it, let's go 50 pounds, 50 more pounds.
Speaker 1They're not going to say that with this singlet I'm wearing, I am wearing them on Friday. You need a hard, it's so much better All my heels now rather than my toes, so it changed a lot, so that was good. Um, how do you feel about uh?
Speaker 2your deadlift. Well, so on Friday we're going to be doing my, my, uh, three sets of one is going to be four, oh nine. Ooh that'll be the most I've ever. I've never deadlifted more than 400.
Speaker 1Really.
Speaker 2I think 395 for two is the most I've ever actually pulled off the floor, so we did that last week, so this week is four, I think it's. He gives me a range of like 400 to 409.
Speaker 1But yeah, that'll be fun.
Speaker 2Cause that's, that's four plates in a in a in some change Right.
Speaker 1I did 420 yesterday. Okay, I was doing 385, three sets, three reps, like we did when we were together and then I was like, oh, let's put it all on. And I'm like sorry, we were playing footsie on accident there. You didn't see that on the podcast.
Speaker 2Was that an accident? Are you sure?
Speaker 1420, I pulled and I was like damn, I might go 450.
Speaker 2I mean, he has me going 405, 425, and 440. It's kind of like our guesstimates of our three, but I mean, a lot of it depends. If I pull 409 really well, on Friday, then I think we may readjust, but you know, on friday, yeah, then I think, uh, I think we may readjust, but you know, we'll see, it's been interesting because you know, doing squat bench and then finishing with deadlift, like the overall fatigue that I'm feeling is different from like if you just go to the gym and you warm up, you do deadlift first.
Speaker 2It's a totally different. So I, where I used to have this just kind of like off the floor, it's like like I'm having to really kind of find my strength where my body's kind of like a little shot, my back's a little tired from doing all the other stuff. So that's an important piece of this is like we are deadlifting last and so we have to factor in the fact that our body's going to be tired from these big lifts that we've done beforehand.
Speaker 1So, yeah, well, a couple of things that have been factored in.
Speaker 2Yeah.
Speaker 1My last rep. Typically my right ball hurts a lot and my middle of my back, so I might have some issues I'm dealing with.
Speaker 2How tight is your belt?
Speaker 1It's pretty tight.
Speaker 2It's new, so it's like I got one of the leather ones so it'd stay together. But is it a?
Speaker 1clamping belt. Yeah, it's like, no, it's like a belt belt okay you know what I mean, not the, not like the velcro ones that pop off when I know, but like, don't you have that like latching clamp thing?
Speaker 2you'll see it.
Speaker 1Okay, I didn't get one of the cool ones you mean okay I got it up, played in sports it's fine, you're og, it's fine.
Speaker 2Um, yeah, I mean I think all of it's going to be fun, it's just going to be. I mean, I we've looked at the competitor list right now. It's it's a little light uh, especially in our divisions, so hopefully that will. Uh, you know, I mean I don't want too many competitors in my division, but I would like to actually compete against, you know, a few guys right, you and I can compete against each other technically, but we can each win our division right, but that it would be fun to have at least five to five to eight competitors.
Speaker 2So if you in the 50 plus, if you win your division because we're masters one.
Speaker 1You're masters two right in our weight class. Do we get an automatic invite to something cool?
Speaker 2I think, yeah, if you yeah, there's probably some, there's probably a couple of things you win and then your total poundage has to probably equal a certain amount because, again, you could be the only person in your weight class and age range win the show and but only have pulled like 850 pounds and then like, what are they going to send you to the, you know, the national championships?
Speaker 2but that's where this goes, I mean, I think there's probably a regional show after that, like a texas championships, and then something beyond we might be thrust into a profession of weightlifting dude I'm so ready to go back to body really just you're feeling all bloated and no, and it's not about the weight.
Speaker 2Actually I'm not that much heavier than I was six months ago. It's just. The workouts are great. I love chasing the weight and all that kind of stuff and doing what James is saying, but I think it's just. I mean, we literally haven't been biceps or side delts.
Speaker 1I don't think it's hurting you at all, though, yeah.
Speaker 2I mean it's just likets, it's hurting you at all, though. Yeah, I mean it's just like jacked, it's just, and we're conserving our energy so that we, you know, we do have like an accessory day like today. I went to the gym and just did like some back, some triceps, some rear delts, um, just you know, some exercises to kind of like make sure we're hitting all the muscles at least once a week. Um, but yeah, I mean it just it's. You know, I don't know, maybe maybe once the show happens I'll just be like I got the, you know, I got the addiction.
Speaker 1I'm like oh, let's go.
Speaker 2Let's go because I mean, there's always kodiak strength. Uh the one the uh god's iron oh yeah, I mean, and you know, it's not like you have to lose weight to do the show. So I mean, you know, but it may be a different. We have to look there's. There's a couple of different power lifting associations, so it's a different association. Then we'd have to get another association membership which is so expensive, killing me.
Speaker 2All right, let's um, let's move on. Um, here's a thought, yeah, um, let's, uh, let's, let's wrap up with one of our uh, one of our our topics here. Let's go to bad thoughts yeah, and then we'll do and then we'll do the rest on the next pod, which will be the, the mobile pod sounds good.
Bad Thoughts Review
Speaker 1Okay, uh, you watched it all I haven't watched it all. I'm like several episodes in bad thoughts on netflix tom segura. It's like a sketch show or not a sketch show no, it's really it's.
Speaker 2It's like these little short movies, like it's really like these, sometimes five minutes, sometimes 15 minutes, some, you know, some are a little longer than others, uh, and there it's just like. It's kind of like uh, the craziest things that his, that, that tom segura's brain has come up with yeah, and some of it's like really like sexual, sexually deviant and other things are just like twisted. You see the one with the French girl and she turns around and she has like a face growing out of her back.
Speaker 1Oh yeah.
Speaker 2And he has to like, he has to screw the face before he screws her, I mean the things that he gets away with doing it just it reminds you that you know, comedy is not dead. Like, and it's like, it's just it's they're, they're. People are getting back and it's not that like there's something like uniquely funny about this stuff, it's just like pushing the envelope with these, like raunchy, like crazy stories, crazy stuff.
Speaker 1I I thought so the assassin thing was so funny. Oh, and then you know it talks about the shadow in their pants was too much for me.
Speaker 2It just got too much.
Speaker 1I love he was going to shoot. He's like I got two rules no women, no children. And this girl. He accidentally shoots the waitress and he's like I have one rule no children, oh man. So yeah, it got a little crazy. A lot of the male sex things is a little crazy. A lot of the male raping things are a little too much for me.
Speaker 2But it's just a little much. But the Garth Brooks-like character, I mean I feel like there is going to be an episode of the Six that is too much for everybody.
Speaker 1Yeah, that's true Like, oh, I can deal with that. Oh, that's kind of funny and then you like, there's one that just like is too far. I do appreciate it. I think it's hilarious. I loved the country star, who's supposed to be garth brooks because, they have a rivalry or whatever. Uh beef, uh where the the compound and yeah he tries to get down to earth and I thought that was pretty funny, but uh, well, I like that he he, he played that one out a while like he played with that.
Speaker 2Yeah, I also like the one with the uh, the virtual reality oh my goodness, you know it guy dude, that was in the in the media and then and then like the episode later where it was like the guy in the meeting was like in a virtual reality, like kind of zombie apocalypse it was like you gotta get my name out of this.
Speaker 1Yeah, it was cool because it like it split around a little bit where you're like, wait, is this a part of the story of the last? But the final scene, the final scene of that, is filmed in uh, a friend, slash co-worker, a family friend or whatever house yeah, like they have this beautiful house where they're on the toilet creek.
Speaker 2No, not on the toilet.
Speaker 1That would be my house with the boards on it. Uh, much more white trash. No, this one is like the cool, like he's rich now, type scene. And I saw it. I was like man, I've seen that, yeah, I know those that like they have soccer balls and stuff. And then, uh, I was like, oh, that's his house and I know that they rent out their house to production companies they've there's like spy kids movie was filmed there okay stuff like that.
Speaker 1But anyway, that was kind of cool, like oh, I found it. But then I had to show, I had to take a picture of it. My wife's like what are? You watching and I'm like, oh nothing, don't worry like two guys. No, you don't like it, you don't like it, it's okay yeah, so I don't know, I didn't like it, it was all right.
Speaker 2when they flashed it like the kid at, with the virtual reality glasses on and it's like there's Tom Segura talking to him like how'd you kill me, How'd you get the guy? I was like, oh, I cooked him on the toilet, oh that was a good one.
Speaker 1How'd you get him? Yeah, there's a lot to that. There's a lot of layers I like to stick to it with, like I Think you Should Leave, or Detroit. Those Tim Robinson ones are pretty funny. I love Tom Segura, though. No, he's funny, so I probably about 50% of that. I like Tom.
Speaker 2Segura, as much as I dislike Bert Kreischer.
Speaker 1You don't like Bert Kreischer.
Speaker 2I'm okay with attention-seeking. Everyone has it to some extent. He's over the top and he doesn't have enough self-awareness to know when he's just making an ass of himself and I just it gets.
Speaker 1It's a part of the stick man. It just gets annoying.
Speaker 2I just I mean like it's funny in small doses. I've never watched a comedy special. I can't get five minutes into it really, and I'm just like this is like that's interesting. This is just a man with a shirt off, attention seeking and telling like stories that are kind of funny, like he's not really a stand up comic.
Speaker 1Damn dude, how do you really feel I'm just honored. Next thing you're gonna tell me. You're gonna tell me I'm not a stand up comic.
Speaker 2Damn dude you could be. You could be one of the greats. I know I would absolutely not. You're the next Shane Gillis.
Speaker 1I got asked to go to Kill Tony Monday night and I didn't go because I promised my daughter I would study for finals with her and I was like I just got to stick to it. You know, like I know this would be fun or whatever. I'm so glad I didn't go. I watched online. I was like so uncomfortable with the comedians, like they were just so, so bad. This time where it was like uncomfortable, and I think of myself being like I know those people that are like, oh, I can do this, oh, I moved to Austin just for this and it's like they suck so bad.
Speaker 2Speaking of really funny, though it's not Ari, not Ari Shafir, but he's from Estonia and he was kind of found on Kill.
Speaker 1Tony, oh, yeah, yeah yeah. He was on Trigonometry.
Speaker 2Oh yeah, the two guys from Trigonometry, one's a british kind of pseudo comedian, the other one's a russian, like you know, expat from russia who lives in in britain, um, and he's also kind of a comedian and but they like they're based out of england. I think they're here now in austin actually oh, I know what you're talking about yeah, but anyway and anyway they have him on and his whole Estonian point of view on Russia and. Ukraine and he's just going in on just his perspectives of America. It's hilarious and they are so uncomfortable.
Speaker 2Then they knew they would be, because they knew who could have. But he just absolutely slays for like an hour and a half and like just watching how uncomfortable they are because they know if they laugh at something like or or agree with something he says, they're probably the ones who are gonna get like blasted on social it's true.
Speaker 1Yeah, yeah, those guys have been on rogan a couple times already maddie you see the guy that wears like a, always wears like a leather jacket type thing. I don't think so no anyway, I gotta check him out, yeah that's cool man.
Speaker 2Yeah, all right, so bad thoughts.
Speaker 1Three out of five stars. What do you rank?
Speaker 2I'd say yes, I'd say three and a half out of five.
Speaker 1You have to be in the right mood yeah and you have to make sure that your kids aren't around. No, and your wife probably.
Speaker 2You're not probably your wife doesn't want to walk in and see half the stuff it's, it's, it's, uh, you know, unless your wife's like a real like, really into kind of raunchy like unless your wife's a dude, you probably don't. Ah, yeah, everyone there's one episode I was like I, I think I would like this, and then I'm like oh.
Speaker 1And then it's like he takes a turn and you're like, oh, that's why you, you know, the show is so polarizing, because you'll watch it yourself and be like you know what I think she would like that. And you have her watch it and it's like, oh, man, this is so on its own.
Speaker 2It's like whoa.
Speaker 1It's like Ricky Stinicki man. We were in the right mood, the right place.
Speaker 2That one got us in a lot of little. We lost credibility. I we lost credibility. I lost a lot of credibility with Ricky Sinig. That was such a good movie, dude, I'd still recommend that Back thoughts.
Speaker 1check it out. Make sure your kids and wife aren't around. It'd be nice.

Speaker 1I got a concert.
Speaker 2Yeah, it's probably like an eight to eight to noon, eight to one type thing, that'd be perfect.
Speaker 1Yeah, so, but if they get a, bunch of.
Speaker 2If they get a bunch of signups like towards the, you know, in the next two weeks, then you know it may extend. But I was at the one over at Lyft ATX and that was like all day because they had a lot of people signed up yeah. So we'll see.
