Unicorn Messaging
Welcome to Unicorn Messaging! The idea behind unicorn messaging is that good messaging just isn't enough. There is so much noise online. The internet is saturated and our attention span is worse than goldfish.
How do we filter out this noise? What if your messaging could make your brand irresistible—turning potential clients into super fans? This podcast is all about positioning your business for massive success with bold, strategic messaging.
My name is Lucy and I am the messaging strategist and copywriter behind the brand My Write Hand Woman. I have been crafting brand messaging and copy for about four and a half years, giving women founders and women owned businesses the words they need to scale into their stretchiest goals.
- Discover how to craft messaging that makes your brand stand out in a saturated market.
- Get real, unfiltered insights from strategy calls and consulting sessions—without the hefty price tag.
- Learn bite-sized sales strategies and identity shifts that help scale your business from six to seven figures.
Tune in to hear some of my best messaging strategies and also some stories of myself and my clients of elevating their messaging to change their positioning and scale their companies.

43: The business lessons I didn't expect to learn working abroad in Australia
Use Left/Right to seek, Home/End to jump to start or end. Hold shift to jump forward or backward.
Last month I went to Australia and essentially took a workation. Which sounds glamorous until you realize the Australia-to-US time difference is absolutely unhinged.
I was working ridiculous hours, trying to balance client work, running my business, and exploring an entirely different continent at the same time.
And while this episode isn't really about messaging (I know, I know), it is about something every entrepreneur struggles with: productivity, prioritization, creativity, and building a business that actually supports your life.
Australia ended up teaching me a lot more than I expected. From letting go of consistency, to getting ruthless with my calendar, to realizing that your life isn't a reward for success, these are the biggest lessons I learned from a month of running my business halfway across the world.
Whether you're dreaming about taking a workation yourself or you never plan on leaving your home office, I think these takeaways will change the way you think about work, freedom, and what it really means to build a business on your own terms.
Basically, Australia gave me a lot of feelings and now you're getting a podcast episode about them.
In This Episode:
🦄 Why consistency is kind of a myth (and what I focus on instead)
🦄 The unexpected freedom that came from having almost zero overlap with US business hours
🦄 Why I think I'm officially done with coffee chats
🦄 The productivity lesson hidden inside having less time
🦄 Why your life should grow alongside your business—not after it
🦄 How being in a completely different time zone became the best anti-anxiety exercise I've ever done
🦄 Why novelty, adventure, and weird experiences create better business ideas than another perfectly optimized morning routine
And if you're sitting there thinking, "Lucy, I want a business that feels as differentiated as the life I'm trying to build," send me a DM on Instagram @mywritehandwoman
Or ask me about Unicorn Messaging
Because if we're going to build businesses nobody's ever seen before, we might as well build lives nobody's ever seen before too.
Stay magical. 🦄
