75: What My Continuous Glucose Monitor Showed at 25 Weeks Pregnant

At 25 weeks pregnant, I was asked to screen for gestational diabetes — but instead of doing the standard glucose drink, I chose to wear a continuous glucose monitor for a week and watch what my blood sugar did in real life.
In this episode, I share what I saw during sleep, after meals, during workouts, and throughout my active workdays. We talk about why gestational diabetes screening exists, how pregnancy naturally changes insulin sensitivity, what “normal” glucose patterns can look like, and why my results were honestly… pretty boring.
Which is a good thing.
I also share the one thing I would do differently next time: where I placed the sensor, and how lying on it overnight likely triggered a false low reading called a compression low.
This is a practical, evidence-informed look at pregnancy metabolism, glucose regulation, balanced eating, and movement — through the lens of my own real-time data.
