2025 asked me to shed. To pause. To question why things weren’t working the way I thought they would. And in this episode, I share the realisation that’s landed so clearly for me: it wasn’t meant to work yet.

This is a conversation for the visionaries who can see what’s possible before the world is fully ready for it. For those of us whose clarity has deepened over the past few years, whose inner knowing has become rock solid, even if the external “success” hasn’t caught up yet.

I talk about the collapse we’ve collectively witnessed in 2025: outdated narratives falling apart, surface-level marketing losing its grip, and why that clearing was necessary. I share why I believe 2026 marks a turning point, a year where visionaries are no longer ahead of their time, but right on time.

I also open up about my own journey with holding back work that didn’t yet feel ready to be received, and why The Marketing Muse is finally coming to life in 2026. Not as a course. Not as a formula. But as a space to remember your creative power, reclaim your truth, and express your work in a way that genuinely mirrors who you are.

If you’ve been questioning yourself, your timing, or your path, this episode is here to offer reassurance, reflection, and a deep sense of you’re not behind. You’ve been preparing.

And now, it’s time to move.

2026 is the year for visionarie

(0:00) Hi and welcome to The Mirror, the podcast where conscious business owners learn how to practise (0:06) marketing that is conscious, enjoyable and a true mirror of the brilliance of their service. (0:13) This isn't another generic marketing podcast, this is where you learn the deep psychological (0:18) principles that create effective marketing, where you can quiet the noise of the business world and (0:24) tune in to how to do things that are a true reflection of you, where you can learn how to (0:29) finally have the impact you know you are capable and worthy of having. I'm your host Emma, a (0:36) marketing expert of over a decade.I truly love what I do and I'm bursting with knowledge to (0:41) share with you all, so sit back, relax and let's dive in. Hi and welcome back to another episode. (0:50) I'm coming to the mic all rosy cheeked, cold hands from a gorgeous walk along the coast with one of (0:57) my friends where I just felt so inspired by our conversations which I feel so grateful for (1:05) because I honestly get so much of my inspiration from conversations with fellow creators and just (1:13) finding this common ground between what we've been experiencing that always makes me want to come (1:19) to the mic and express on that. And something we were really speaking on today was just that (1:26) we've come to this place of peace and understanding with how so much of what we (1:32) thought was going to work out in a certain way just hasn't and we've spent a lot of our time (1:39) questioning why, you know, like why aren't things working? Why are we trying and not (1:44) succeeding? Why does it feel like almost in a way we are being pushed back? And we've kind of (1:52) reached that point where we're like, oh it all makes sense. We weren't supposed to be doing the (1:58) things that we thought we were. Things weren't supposed to work out in the way that we wanted (2:03) them to and actually we've been blocked from things because that's not what we were supposed (2:09) to be doing. And I feel like this is so poignant with that shift from 2025 which is very much the (2:17) year of the snake and things shedding into 2026 which is the year of the horse and things actually (2:24) starting to move again. And as we were speaking we were saying how we feel like in a weird way (2:31) although not much has come to life and it's kind of felt like quite a stationary year which I guess (2:39) is in accordance with it being the year of shedding, a lot of the foundations have been built (2:46) and the reason being is that we have come into so many realisations, such certainty, (2:54) again such a shedding of the things that aren't really supposed to serve us, that now we are (3:00) entering into this year of forward moving motion with so much clarity, a real knowing of what we (3:09) are here to do and also peace with why that hasn't worked out, why we haven't been ready (3:16) for it, why perhaps the collective hasn't been ready for it. And I ended up saying to my friend (3:22) like I really feel like 2026 is the year for visionaries and the reason that I say this is (3:30) because I don't know about you but for the past few years I feel like my vision has become stronger (3:36) and stronger and I have understood my place in the world and what I'm really here to do and how (3:42) I'm supposed to be of service like on such deep levels, it's really anchored into this deep inner (3:49) knowing where I feel grounded in the foundation of that. But it hasn't necessarily materialised (3:57) into quote-unquote success and what I mean by that is like real outward recognition of it, (4:04) this manifestation of services that are hugely successful and like a lot of the stuff has been (4:10) in my notes and it's been ideas or maybe I've tried things and thought hmm that's not quite it. (4:17) And I believe that that is part of my own evolution of growth, it's part of like (4:22) the trial and error and preparing myself to be ready for what I'm here to do. (4:28) But I also think that collectively the world just hasn't fully been ready for what visionaries have (4:36) to offer and it's funny because even as I say this I realised that there is currently a post (4:40) sitting in my drafts on exactly this because the very nature of being a visionary as I've (4:46) spoken about many times on this podcast is seeing things before the world does (4:51) and largely that ties into collective energies and shifts in that sometimes we've seen things (4:59) that the world isn't fully ready for yet and it's not to say that it's wrong or that people don't (5:05) need it and it's not what we're supposed to be doing, it's that sometimes there's this liminal (5:11) space between what we know to be true and what we are here to share and what the world is ready (5:17) to receive and I feel like on reflection that's been a lot of 2025 for me, very much that space (5:24) of like I say me really anchoring into what's true and also the collective being ready for that (5:30) and I speak about how our marketing needs to be a part of that shift if we are visionaries bringing (5:36) new things to life for people our marketing has to be part of that process of bringing it to life (5:42) but I also think that sometimes there's just energetic shifts that need to happen (5:48) for that to be really ready and me and my friend were just speaking about how we've seen a collapse (5:53) of a lot of things in 2025.I've seen a lot of people shut down their businesses, I've seen a (6:00) lot of narratives that were just taken as truth to be heavily questioned, I've seen a lot of the (6:07) influencers who've risen to their fame over the past few years suddenly be called out and questioned (6:14) and just this acceptance of the way things have always been done no longer really standing. (6:21) People are starting to really break through with this going against the grain kind of narrative, (6:27) they're starting to return back to this softness within the approach, I feel like we've seen a lot (6:31) of extremes, I feel like it's been this time where the surface level stuff you know people (6:37) just kind of like jumping on bandwagons and selling the sellable has suddenly started to not land and (6:43) resonate. We've seen this collective collapse around that and I think it's so intentional (6:51) because it's really been clearing this space for the visionaries to rise through. It's almost like (6:59) people have reached this realisation of things not landing, things not really resonating and working (7:05) and then they're like okay but what else? And this is where visionaries really have to rise (7:12) in that space with like, oh it's like a ta-da, like this is what else? Because now this reality that (7:19) you have been able to vision that others may not have suddenly starts to make sense and it's (7:27) something that people are really ready to receive and I think the flip side of this can sometimes (7:33) mean that a lot of visionaries experience a lot more questioning of themselves and what they're (7:39) here to do and I notice this a lot within my clients and I felt it within myself as well, (7:45) like to be really real and honest, like there's been so many times where I have looked at people (7:49) within marketing, within business and I'm like how are they like so viral? How do they have so many (7:55) followers? How are they making so much money? Because I feel like I can see and not to enter (8:01) into this call-out energy but I do think it's of relevance, like I can kind of see how what they're (8:05) speaking on causes harm and actually doesn't come from a place of like genuine expertise, it's very (8:13) much selling the sellable narrative and drawing people into that and people kind of soak it up, (8:20) it's like moths to a flame towards it and it has led me to question you know what I am really here (8:27) to do and move and why that's not as sexy of a sell and why people aren't drawn to it so much (8:33) and I have had clients bring this to me before as well, like they know their approach is so rooted (8:38) in integrity and truth and what the world really needs and yet they can look at other people in (8:44) their industry just selling out so easily from doing something that perhaps is actually built (8:52) on a place of misalignment and perhaps it's not misalignment, perhaps that's the wrong word, (8:57) perhaps it serves who they are supposed to serve but also there's this group of people that don't (9:03) feel fully served by that but aren't sure on the alternative and it's led them down a path, (9:09) sent myself down this path of like really questioning where we fit into all of that and (9:14) my friend and I were just talking about that, we were talking about it in relation to the fitness (9:18) industry because that's the industry my friend is in and she was saying about like how she's (9:22) just been absorbing narratives for so long that are just doing a lot of harm to people that are (9:29) misaligned but also just not really feeling like she was in a place to go against the grain of that (9:35) and like people weren't really ready to anchor into the truth of what she has to share (9:40) and then as this year started coming to an end and we've moved into 2026 (9:45) suddenly the shift feels very real and it's like actually I know my truth, I know what I'm here to (9:52) share and I know that this is a change that people really need to experience and part of my role as (9:59) I said is preparing people to be ready to really receive that and I think what I'm really getting (10:05) at here is like I do genuinely believe that the time is now and hasn't necessarily been before (10:13) you know like I just in a way don't feel like the world was fully ready for what a lot of (10:19) visionaries are here to share and I'm noticing this within my work at the moment like there's (10:23) this huge resurgence of people that are like you know what my message no longer works, it no longer (10:30) feels like a representation of me. I have evolved and maybe the collective has evolved beyond the (10:37) what my message is expressing currently and I think this is going to be a huge theme for us (10:44) in 2026. I feel like a lot of us have been ending the year of the snake with this shedding of like (10:51) actually I'm ready to shed of course but step into this new way of operating that feels deeply (11:02) in resonance, in integrity, that does go against the grain of things, that does bring something new (11:08) to life that yes may be completely different to what people are used to but actually there is this (11:16) knowing that they are now ready to receive it and perhaps we have been holding ourselves back you (11:22) know really coming into the truth of what we are here to do, shedding the narratives that say (11:27) otherwise or just in this liminal space of waiting for the collective to be really ready for it and (11:33) there is something within this shift into 2026 and by the way like I'm not someone who typically (11:38) celebrates new year, I much prefer to go with the astrological calendar which is more in alignment (11:44) with nature and the seasons but there is just something that feels really powerful in this (11:50) switch between the years this year for me and I'm not sure if you're feeling it too but I've been (11:54) having several conversations of people really feeling the same like it feels like we're all (11:59) like yes I'm actually ready to shed and I'm ready to step into something different and I'm really (12:04) ready to claim the power and the truth of what I can see, of what I hold in vision. It's no longer (12:11) going to be something that just exists in my mind or in my imagination, it's going to be something (12:16) that translates into the words I put out into the world and into the ways I deliver these services (12:22) and if you feel like you have been trying that in some capacity and it's not really worked I just (12:27) want to create real safety and recognition of that because I have been feeling exactly that too, (12:33) I know several clients I've been speaking to, friends of mine, like I do feel like that has (12:38) been an energy of like it's not supposed to have worked, it's supposed to have just been (12:45) this experience of yeah I suppose trial and error, maybe it is shedding, maybe it's just like (12:50) letting things come to light. I was listening to a podcast the other day by someone who speaks a lot (12:55) on manifestation, she was like I have not been able to manifest anything this year, like obviously (13:01) stuff will have manifested but like she's saying it's just not been the year of that, 2025 has not (13:06) been the year that things have really manifested and come to life and I know for me it's felt like (13:12) a bit of an empty year and I don't say that in terms of like I've not done anything or I've not (13:18) achieved anything or like it's not been really beautiful but in the sense of just like it has (13:24) felt like the preparation, the foundations, the real landing before everything comes to life (13:31) and I feel like stepping into 2026 feels like the okay and now it's ready to come to life (13:38) and the programme that I am releasing, The Marketing Muse, is such a beautiful representation (13:43) of this because this has been coming to life for me pretty much all year and I've kept setting dates (13:49) to release it so I've like put in my calendar I'm gonna release it this day, gonna release this day (13:54) and then that time comes around and I'm like I'm not releasing it, I'm not putting it out into the (13:58) world and not just because I'm like sabotaging myself and feeling the fear and staying in my (14:03) comfort zone, maybe it was a part of that as well, but because I've been like it just doesn't feel (14:09) right, something feels like it is holding me back and I can't really make sense of it but I also (14:15) really want to lean in and listen to it and then all of a sudden as 2025 started to come to an end (14:20) like this really clear vision of it came through I actually put the dates in my calendar for 2026 (14:29) for this to come to life and something just about the timing of it, how I'm grounded in it, the (14:35) reactions that I've been having in client sessions that really confirm the necessity of it, when I've (14:41) told people about it I felt this level of conviction within my voice and the response that they've had (14:47) is like wow this work is so needed and I genuinely feel like if I tried to put it out when I first had (14:53) the idea to do this it potentially would have been a flop and of course there's no such thing as a (14:58) flop really, it's always something that we learn from and is a necessary part of the journey (15:03) but it just feels like it wasn't supposed to work and now feels like the time when it's like okay (15:10) it's not to say that I'm going to launch it, it's going to be perfect, it's going to go swimmingly, (15:14) there's going to be no trial and error within it because that is the very nature of being a (15:19) visionary and putting new things out into the world like there has to be a level of trial and error to (15:24) it because most of us are creating things that haven't been done, we don't have this like cheat (15:29) code to follow, we don't have this paved path, we very much have to find out but there feels like (15:35) this level of conviction and confidence within it that I just couldn't fully tap into earlier on in (15:41) the year and I'm now looking back grateful for the fact that I didn't force it out because I was (15:47) feeling frustrated that it wasn't getting out into the world and now I'm coming into this deep trust (15:53) that it was always supposed to be in this timing and not just this timing for me but this timing (15:58) for the collective because this programme is going to help these visionary people that I'm talking (16:03) about actually get their work out into the world in a way where they are fully conveying the power (16:09) of it in a way where they are honouring themselves and their uniqueness and expressing in a way that (16:15) feels really true for them it's not just about marketing it's about reclaiming the creative (16:21) humans that exist within us all that we have largely forgotten and I do feel like a huge part (16:27) of 2025 was dismantling this like we've had so much talk on the copy and paste strategies on (16:33) the one size fits all formulas and we felt this collective rejection of that paving the way for (16:41) this new creative marketing that we feel in deep resonance for that we feel really connected to that (16:48) feels like a true expression of us to really come through and I feel like if I try to release that (16:55) earlier in the year people weren't fully ready to claim that I wasn't fully ready to claim it (17:00) and now I can feel even in the way that I'm speaking maybe you can feel it too (17:04) the claiming is there and it's strong and it is ready to be out in the world and on that note (17:10) I'm so excited to be sharing it with you we are currently waitlist open and early bird access so (17:16) there is early bird pricing that is only available to those on the waitlist and the marketing news is (17:22) something that I really struggle to summarise on a podcast and I'm sure a lot of you resonate with (17:27) this of like it's not a course it's kind of a group programme it's kind of a mastermind like I (17:33) am genuinely creating something that hasn't been done so to put a label to it to put this like (17:38) polished description of it feels really difficult because it's completely different it's creators (17:45) gathering together it's me sharing some knowledge but it's not a course to study it's not something (17:51) that you need to learn it is actually a space to remember the power of what you do the creativity (17:57) that then shares that with the world so it's a three-month journey which largely follows the (18:02) formula of how I work so it focusses on really anchoring into your mission and you as the (18:09) founder of bringing that to life it's really looking at who you work with and where your (18:15) mission meets these people like using deep psychological principles where we are speaking (18:19) in a way that people feel seen they feel understood they feel activated and then (18:26) conveying our work of like where our work really meets them in a way where they get it they see (18:32) themselves within it which is really the core principles of creating a message within your (18:38) marketing and then the second half is really about harnessing the creative energy that then (18:43) shares that message with the world that then gets it out to people where we feel really expressed (18:48) and people feel really seen within our expressions so if this is landing for you I feel like so many (18:55) of the people who have already responded to it are just feeling that activation without that kind (19:00) of perfect description bio form of it so yeah I would love to share all the information with you (19:06) below on that and if you have any questions and you want to chat about anything either in this episode (19:11) or about the marketing news my dms are always open as always I love to hear from you I would love to (19:17) know how you're feeling going into 2026 whether you're feeling that shift as well and yeah thank (19:22) you so much for being here through all of the musings of 2025 if you have sent me messages and (19:27) supported me over this very much messy middle year I am so grateful for you I cannot wait for what I (19:35) am going to be sharing in 2026 and to have you along for the ride is honestly such an honour so (19:39) thank you so much thank you so much for listening to this episode I really hope that it was helpful (19:46) for you and if it has made you want to find out more of the ways you can work with me all of the (19:52) information about one-to-one my resources my progr
