Self-Care Sermon
55. Screaming into a Pillow is a Self-Care Practice
I have Usher's "Burn" song playing in my head as I am readying this episode for publishing.
Let it burn, baby. That sacred fiery righteous rage.
Sure, self-care is bubble baths and spa days... but this episode really highlights what I mean when I talk about true self-care - true beauty-fullness, from the inside out.
This episode says: no, please do not calm down.
This episode illustrates how suppressing our emotions leads to dis-ease.
This episode offers practical, safe, healthy ways to process our rage... and also offers insights into what our rage is revealing to us and how we can use it in service of others.
This episode is an inside look at the last year of my life and my own healing work, and there is no better time in history than to be having this conversation with each other: safely, compassionately, openly.
