Sukany4 - The Podcast
Sukany4 - The Podcast is more than just a podcast; it’s a celebration of the people, businesses, and stories that make our communities thrive. We believe that every person has a unique story to tell, and these stories are the heartbeat of the communities we live and work in. Our podcast is dedicated to capturing these voices, offering a platform for individuals who are shaping the present and future of our shared spaces through their talents, energy, and commitment.
At Sukany4, we take our conversations outdoors, recording our episodes while walking through the stunning countryside. This approach not only promotes wellbeing and the benefits of being in nature but also reflects our belief in the importance of human connection. As we walk and talk, we delve into the lives of those who are driving positive change in their communities, whether through business, creative endeavours, or grassroots initiatives.

S2E6 Branding, Website Design and Creative Dinners with Anna Douglas
In this episode of Sukany4 – The Podcast, I take a springtime walk through Lancaster’s beautiful canal paths and into the peaceful Fairfield Nature Reserve with designer and creative business owner, Anna Douglas.
We're soon we’re swapping stories about life, creativity, and change. Anna shares how she transitioned from fashion design to branding and web design, sparked by a moment of realisation during lockdown and a redundancy that turned out to be the push she needed.
We talk about falling back in love with Lancaster after time away, her experience setting up Creative Women’s Dinners to build connection and community, and the joy of creating spaces that feel welcoming, without the pressure to pitch. She tells me why she embraces tools like Canva, how she navigates client relationships, and why she avoids fast design trends in favour of timeless, intentional branding.
There’s laughter, stories of travel and yoga teacher training, reflections on mindful living, AI, and yes, plans for her upcoming wedding and a nod to the film Ghost (you’ll understand when you hear it).
This is an episode full of honesty, creativity, and thoughtful conversation. A slow and sunny walk with a wonderfully warm guest who reminds us that sometimes, the best ideas come from allowing ourselves to pause, play, and begin again.
