Cancer to Leo: Reclaiming Radiance at Summer's Midpoint

Lizzy Sutton & Nikki Sucevic Season 1 Episode 69

The midpoint of the year arrives with an invitation to reclaim your radiance. As the cosmos shifts from the deep emotional currents of Cancer to the bold, expressive fire of Leo, we're being called to remember who we truly are at our core.

Cancer season asks us to slow down, feel deeply, and nurture ourselves with tenderness. Like the crab that symbolizes this sign, many of us develop protective outer shells while maintaining soft, intuitive inner worlds. During this time, you might notice increased sensitivity and past patterns resurfacing - not as punishment, but as an opportunity for healing release. When emotions arise, remember they only need 60 seconds to process through your body if you allow yourself to fully feel them without resistance.

The Capricorn Full Moon on July 10th (known as the Buck Moon) creates a powerful axis between feeling and structure. During this time, we're invited to release what no longer serves us - particularly those societal expectations that have overridden our emotional truths. What does success actually look like to you, beneath the layers of conditioning? The affirmation "I release the need to prove. I lead from my truth" can be your companion through this illuminating time.

As Leo season emerges on July 22nd, we're supported in expressing what we've processed. Like a rose bush that blooms more vibrantly after pruning, our authenticity flourishes when we've released what's dying. The spiritual progression is beautiful – first feeling deeply, then expressing boldly from that grounded emotional awareness.

This month, ask yourself: What parts of your radiance have been dimmed? What would you do differently if you were fully in your power? Through practices like emotional journaling, mindful movement, and taking small brave actions, you can gently return to your essence. Remember - this is not a fight, but a homecoming to your soul's original blueprint.

Speaker 4:

Welcome to a special July Energy episode of the Modern Zen Collective podcast. I'm Lizzie.

Speaker 3:

And I'm Nikki. This month brings powerful cosmic invitations from the deep emotional currents of cancer season to the bold fire of Leo and the grounding clarity of the Capricorn full moon to the bold fire of Leo and the grounding clarity of the Capricorn full moon.

Speaker 4:

We're so excited to explore what it means to reclaim your radiance this month and how to embody your truth unapologetically during this sacred midpoint in the year.

Speaker 3:

And we'll also talk about what's happening astrologically, energetically, in July and how to work with these shifts something we're really, really interested and passionate about rather than working against them, especially if you're feeling that pull towards being reinvention reinvention for yourself and all of that.

Speaker 4:

Yes, I'm feeling that. I know you are too, nikki. We're in the middle of this with you. So this conversation is really a call to remember who you are, to rise into your unique power and walk forward, lit from within. Lit from within. So let's step into July together with intention and inner fire. So we're so excited to talk about this.

Speaker 4:

This month Cancer is going to be moving into Leo. Next there's going to be a Capricorn full moon on Thursday, july 10th, and the sun is going to move from Cancer into Leo, like I just mentioned, on Monday, the 22nd, at 4.44 am Eastern Standard Time. So we got a little angel number action in there too. Love it. So it's going to be a good one. It's going to be a good one. So we just want to start a little bit talking about cancer to Leo and moving from that feeling to expressing the feeling, to expression. So the emotional depth of cancer season is really about slowing down, nurturing, being tender with yourself. Cancer is very sensitive. It's emotional, intuitive, empathetic and it feels things deeply and it often absorbs the moods of others. So it kind of sounds like an empath a little bit, absolutely. So you can't imagine being an empath and a Cancer. For all of those who are, it must be a lot for you. Yeah, a lot going on.

Speaker 4:

And the symbol of Cancer is the crab and it's very protective of its inner world, soft on the inside and strong shell on the outside. So it has that protective armor but it does have that softness, that intuitiveness, that empathy, that emotional part of it. The crab is very loyal and protective, very fiercely devoted to loved ones, especially family. So once you have that cancer that loves you, that's it. You're stuck with them, they're stuck with you, they love you forever.

Speaker 3:

I love the cancer. I totally get that and I's it. You're stuck with them. They're stuck with you. They love you forever.

Speaker 1:

I love a cancer, I totally get that and I feel it Really.

Speaker 4:

Yeah, yeah, I love it. So what you may be noticing here in the cancer season is increased sensitivity, desired for comfort and past patterns resurfacing, and I have definitely noticed that within myself. I think Nikki and I even had an in-business meeting last week, which is where we just spend time working on the business together, and I literally was telling her where I'm at and I just started crying. I'm like I'm sorry, I just I need to cry. And I was driving my son to his Noniis the other day too and I started crying listening to, and then yesterday I started crying. So I'll tell you I am definitely in this increased sensitivity part.

Speaker 3:

Yes, oh, my God, I, we all. I feel like we're all feeling that, like we've talked about so many times about the transition of earth and moving to a stage of Aquarius 3D to 5D, all of these things that are inside of us are trying to come to the surface to be healed. And the beauty of having these arcs and different areas for astrological movement is that we get this help to do so. So you know, this beginning part with cancer is sensitive and feeling and expressing, emoting and not holding it in, because then that just becomes stifled energy. You know, hard, difficult, et cetera. Like there's a lot that can go along with holding that in. So the fact that you cried, lizzie, three times is amazing, love it. I cried yesterday watching the Office when Pam and Jim had a moment at the end of last season. So very much, very emotional lately, all of the things that tip us over the edge yesterday.

Speaker 3:

But when we move from Cancer into Leo, you know coming into Leo, which is the lion, the pride, the expression, boldness, creativity, and then stepping into your visibility. So it's almost as if this Cancer into Leo is shedding the old, expressing, emoting, feeling, the emotions inside of you that are trying to come out so that you can be in your full expression of who you are and step into that visibility of the proud lion, you know, taking up space, the loud roar and all of that. So the spiritual arc of the month is feel and then express. This is a soul led transformation. You know you're determined, you can, like the the Leo is, you know it could be stubborn, also, again, devoted and anchored. So you still have that kind of coming with you and determined once committed. So you have that energy behind you. So when you release in the beginning and then move into this arc, into Leo, you have the energy behind you to be able to have the forward progress. When you commit to something and this is, you know, staying loyal and consistent. That's something that Leo does automatically. That's just who they are as the sign. And then you get that energy as well, being loyal, consistent whenever you start moving your energy forward.

Speaker 3:

And then something else for Leo is that you know we talked about what the cancer traits are going into Leo passionate, warm, enthusiastic, vibrant, you know, proud, strong in their foundation, fueled by desire, inspired. And you have the need to express. So you can imagine the lion, lion King on the top. You know, doing what it needs to do to command the attention of everyone. That is the innate energy of Leo and that is what we get to have behind us as we are moving forward, with all that energy of what we shed, you know, when we're moving into this new era, with all that energy of what we shed, you know, when we're moving into this new era.

Speaker 3:

So, having that beautiful balance almost a yin and yang at this time the midpoint of the year, is really beautiful and amazing to be able to step in that boldness after you've kind of expressed and released, Because to me, when I express and release, I feel like I gain clarity after I express and release and feel things that I may have been repressing and I feel like then I have these moments of pause where I can receive that clarity. So something to you, something to consider for our listeners, just to really lean into this energy, is where have you softened lately? Where are you ready to shine? Where have you been able to create that foundation and now be ready to shine with it? But shine with it creating and bringing that energy of cancer with you in a soft way. You're shining it in a soft way, with that strong foundation from Leo behind you. So where are you ready to shine? You know, like something to consider while we're here in July.

Speaker 4:

I love that yin and yang you know you said, because that is truly what this is like. Cancer is that yin, is that softer, that feeling, that feminine you know, that. That's that slowing down, pause to look at things and feel them and let your body fully process them like one of my favorite things that I learned.

Speaker 4:

I don't even remember where I learned this, but that emotions will stay in your body for 60 seconds. So if you can literally just sit with that feeling for 60 seconds, it will come into your body and your body will fully process it. That's amazing, I know it's incredible. If you stop it, that's when that emotion, that energy in motion gets trapped in your body and so, literally, if you can just feel this feeling that you're uncomfortable with whatever it may be, for 60 seconds, it's gone forever.

Speaker 4:

Like that that piece of it will be gone forever and it won't stay with you.

Speaker 4:

So I I honestly can't even remember where I learned this. This was like years ago, but it's one of my favorite things I like to bring to mind when I'm really feeling really sad or upset or, you know, distraught, I mean even distraught. It's just if you can just sit with it and let yourself cry, let yourself feel it. It's going to be gone after that and you go back to, like your balanced state. So really just taking the time to sit with the feelings like cancer is really asking you to, because then when you move into this Leo, I'm a Leo. So which I feel like as a Leo, which I feel like as a Leo, my thing to learn is to be softer, you know, is to be not so in your face, not so bold all the time, to like step back. I don't always have to be in the front, I can be behind, you know and like. So that's my balancing act is to lean more into cancer because you put you put this Leo energy in a Leo month and whoo baby Love it.

Speaker 3:

Imagine the things we could get done in that Leo month yeah.

Speaker 2:

Okay, get ready. Nikita, get ready, exactly.

Speaker 3:

Yeah, when we have, you know, there's so many areas like the energy moves every single day and we have energy that backs us every day. But then we have these, you know, pivotal points throughout the month. So on July 10th, we have the full backs us every day, but then we have these, you know, pivotal points throughout the month. So on July 10th we have the full moon in Capricorn, which is called the Buck Moon, and it's called the Buck Moon because this is the time when bucks shed their you know antlers and move on into growing and evolving in that way. So it has significance behind it as well, which is pretty cool, and it gives us that same energy of you know, release the old and just trust and know the new is coming, and it's almost like roses.

Speaker 4:

you know, like with the bucks antlers, it's like when you trim off, when you let the dying, the old fall away, when you cut off those old roses, the buds or the new roses or the new antlers, they get all of the energy to grow. And if you don't have released all the old, the energy is going into the old and the new. So the new can't be as beautiful, as vibrant, as big if you still have the old hanging on sucking up energy.

Speaker 3:

Yes, oh my gosh, absolutely, because the energy is trying to get the old to be aligned with the new and it's expelling all this energy to do so and it's not giving the energy to like the actual beauty that could be and it's hard to let go. You know you don't want to cut that part of the rose or whatever it might be for feeling bad or feeling attached and all of those things that go along with it. That's a great, great analogy. It also makes me think of when you know you have particular skills, like when you are in a job, leadership, whatever your skills are, and you have this, you know these handful of skills that you can do with your eyes closed all the time. And then you have skills that you're not particularly good at. Well, you can spend a lot of time trying to get the skills you're not good at to be as good as the ones you're great at, or just give all your energy to the ones that are great and know someone else has the skills for the ones that would be hard for you to catch up to and that really, your rose analogy reminds me of that like just to really catapult towards the beauty of, you know, expansion into the things that are ready to grow. And the full moon in Capricorn gives us structure and boundaries, ambition, alignment, all of these things to really help us.

Speaker 3:

Also with the season going from Cancer to Leo. And there are things, you know, when we have all these different contradicting signs that could be complementary and contradicting etc. We havea full moon in Capricorn but then we also have the Cancer energy that we're still in until the 22nd. So with that there might be some tension with Cancer Doesn't mean it's negative tension. There's healthy tension. Healthy tension helps us grow. So this is your emotional truth versus societal expectations. So when you are setting boundaries, creating structure, stepping into your ambition and then feeling in the cancer element, are you doing so with your whole truth and your emotional truth or are you doing it with some societal expectations? You know like, are you holding in and not going that full 60 seconds for your emotions because it's not accepted where you are in that moment to be crying or whatever it might be? You know things like that on the really small level and then on a large level as well.

Speaker 4:

Yeah, you know that's actually a really good point because I have done that. That has happened to me before. You know, when your takes you out to lunch to like in the corporate world, you know what? I don't that's ever happened to you, but when I was in the corporate world and your boss takes you to lunch, it's probably not a good thing. Yes, and I have definitely had times where I've wanted to cry.

Speaker 4:

I have typically like in that situation when I was out and trying to like hold it back because it wasn't socially acceptable, where I was like that just popped into my mind when you said that. But even outside of like the emotional kind of things, it's like the societal expectations even around success, like external versions of success a lot lately, and like what looks like success to people from the outside or what society deems as successful, like climbing the corporate ladder, being this hotshot, being the most exclusive in the most exclusive piece of the company or next to the C-suite executives, or getting to go to these things, or I don't even know. It's like what does everybody tell you success looks like? But what do you actually think success looks like?

Speaker 4:

So, letting go of like what society tells you success should be in your life letting go of what society tells you you should be doing as a woman, as a man, as a provider, as a caretaker. What do those roles actually look like to you in your life? Because, while my labels might be stay-at-home mom, might be mother of two, might be part-time worker helping my husband's business, might be business owner, might be volunteer, what do all of those things look like to me? Actually, nikki this is the perfect time to bring this up I literally talked to Nikki after I talked to my sister, and my sister, meredith, was like what do you tell people that you do?

Speaker 4:

I'm like Meredith was like what do you tell people that you do? I'm like what do you mean? What do I tell people that I do? And she's like well, do you say you're a stay-at-home mom, or do you say you work part-time? And I'm like well, what I tell them is my primary role is as a caregiver, nurturer. My family is my top priority. After that comes my husband's company. I do all their admin and operations for them. After that, my company with my wonderful partner Nikki. That's very important to me, and also I have a very big leadership role in junior league and so that takes up a lot of my time and she's like will you tell people all of that? And I'm like, yes, I tell people all of that because we're having a conversation.

Speaker 4:

She's like, well, you know, my friends were just asking and I just didn't know what to tell them, what you did. I was like, okay, and it was just so odd because you know, my sister works for 3M. She's like in this corporate society mix, she's an engineer, she's very logical. She's like in this corporate society mix, she's an engineer, she's very logical. She's like in everything. We see the world very differently.

Speaker 4:

I've realized I can only send her decor related things because that is the only thing that we see eye to eye on. It's just so funny because she is literally trying to put like a label on me when she tells her friends who I am and what I do, when it's so much more holistic thing, like it takes me 30 seconds to tell you or like a minute to tell you what I do with my time. But for her it's like, oh, I work part time or oh, I'm a stay at home mom, and it's just so interesting. So I don't know. I only tell that story because sometimes people can try and put labels on you or put expectations on you for how you should be living your life, with what should be your top priority or how you should be spending your time. And you know, things change as our lives change, as our experiences change.

Speaker 4:

And so it's really important for us to have that dialogue with ourselves about what success looks like, about what wealth looks like, about what your role in your life looks like at this time.

Speaker 4:

So, it's really about reclaiming that personal power through, like, your own sustainable leadership, through your own intuitive timing, through your own alignment. Yeah, like that's what's. That's what's so great about this time is that you have the time to reflect. Now, with this cancer, like to reflect, to feel into any things, to feel what doesn't feel good to you, to feel what does feel good to you, like one of the great, the best things that we've learned through all this embodiment work that Nikki and I have been practicing and learning over the past years is that when something gets brought up to you an idea, a thought, something to do, something not to do and you sit, you think about it and you sit in your, in your body. Your body's going to tell you whether or not that's right for you. The body never lies.

Speaker 4:

The mind is meant to show you both ways.

Speaker 4:

The mind is meant to keep us safe. It's meant to keep us alive. It's meant to keep us alive. It's meant to keep us here so that we can procreate and keep the human race going. So it shows you always the risk and the reward, both sides. It doesn't tell you what you should do. It tells you all the things. If you're thinking about all the positives, it's going to say wait, what about all these negatives? If you're thinking about all the negatives, it's going to say wait, think about all these positives. But the body, when you ask the body if it feels contractive, if it feels not good, if you feel sick, if you feel knots, if you feel tension, that's a no.

Speaker 4:

If you feel expansive, if you get some excitement, if you get some like butterflies in your stomach, if you smile, if your eyes get brighter, that's a yes, so, and that's that's for you to feel for yourself. Nobody can tell you that your body is the thing that's going to tell you, yeah. So I just you know, nikki, and I practice that often. So one thing that we can really offer for you in terms of like this full moon like, is just an affirmation, maybe you can say for yourself to help stick to your own versions of success, your own versions of how you want to live your life. And that is I release the need to prove I lead from my truth.

Speaker 4:

And that's actually really powerful. I release the need to prove I lead from my truth. Hey, love, we'll get right back to the episode in just a moment. All right, let's get back to it.

Speaker 3:

Yes, that's so many, it encompasses so much with just that one sentence and it's incredible to think that you know we can just release that need for judgment.

Speaker 3:

You know, one of the things that there's these studies and these interviews with people that are on their deathbed and a lot of the common thread is I should have done what I wanted to do. I was too afraid of what people thought Like that's something that's just kind of across the board of how we worried about what our family would think, what our friends would think, but we felt this overwhelming urge inside of us to do something and we just kept putting it off and putting it off and before we know it, we're 90 and we never did that thing. And your truth is what Lizzie's talking about. You feel ignited, you feel powerful, you feel aligned. It could be that simple where you know that that's your truth inside of it. You don't feel weird or odd or you're hiding something or anything like that. So I release the need to prove I lead from my truth. You can even write that out in a journal, you can say it out loud to yourself. However, it works for you.

Speaker 4:

Yeah, I actually really love that. I think I'm going to write it on a sticky note and put it on my mirror. That's what I do with my affirmations. I put the sticky note on my mirror because I don't know if any of you have listened to Mel Robbins, but she always talks about high-fiving yourself in the mirror in the morning, looking at yourself and saying all these awesome things about yourself in the morning to yourself.

Speaker 3:

Well, we say that you do the mirror work, yep.

Speaker 4:

Yeah, and so I do like to do that. Sometimes it actually does. It's a little goofy the first few times when you like look at yourself and high-five yourself. I'm literally like picturing myself. It's just so funny, but it really does work. So that's another thing you could try. But you know, it's time like this is the time to reclaim yourself. So, like I really want you to think about what parts of yourself have gone underground or have been dimmed, what parts of yourself have been dimmed, either by you, by others, by society, whatever. What parts of yourself have gone underground or been dimmed, because it's time to reclaim your voice, it's time to reclaim your health, your vitality.

Speaker 4:

It's time to reclaim your boundaries, just like the armadillo told you to do on July 1st. You know, go back and listen to that episode. I did a July animal card poll and it was the armadillo, and it's all about boundaries. I'm telling you, this stuff is unique. I picked that card out of the whole deck of cards and it literally lines up with exactly what we're talking about today too. So go back and listen to the first if you need some help with boundaries and reclaiming your creativity, like what does creativity mean for you?

Speaker 4:

Is that building a podcast, like Nikki and I did? Is it taking beautiful photos outside? Is it painting? Is it writing, is it drawing? Is it singing? Is it dancing? What is is it for you? So just think about that. Reclaim your voice, reclaim your boundaries, reclaim your creativity and your health, like your health, please yeah, yeah, exactly.

Speaker 3:

You know how to make yourself the most healthy. You know, like it's that same thing you feel inside what's yes, what's no, what's right for my body, what's not. And I'm the big advocate of like the 80-20. Like 80% of the time, I eat pretty clean. I'm really aligned. I honor my body, I treat it like a temple all of these things that I want to do and 20% of the time, I really like pizza, I like breadsticks, I really love a burger, I love like all of these things that make me feel like I'm still living this human experience. So it's about that balance and moderation and honoring yourself. And it also is the energy behind it We've talked about this before on our Ayurveda episode when we first launched is that you can eat a burger with shame and feel terrible. You can eat a burger with great joy that you're having this delicious burger and appreciation for your food and feel powerful and happy and healthy. So it also has parts to do with that energy when you're creating and reclaiming your health.

Speaker 3:

And this isn't about fixing yourself. It's about remembering who you are at your soul core. We came here with our soul blueprint. This is who we are and the beautiful part of being incarnated on earth is that we had amnesia and we don't know who we are. And the beautiful part of being incarnated on earth is that we had amnesia and we don't know who we are. And we get to repeal the layers back and figure out who we are bit by bit, by bit by bit for our whole lifetime. And this is about remembering who you are throughout this season, throughout the Cancer to Leo, throughout the Capricorn full moon, and you have all of this energy behind you. And then this is a gentle return, not a fight. So the more if we fight, the more we bring attention to something like that, the more attention that becomes fights. So we want to have this be in ease and softness. Like we talked about before. It's not a fight. It's a gentle return to who you are inside of yourself, like your soul level.

Speaker 4:

Yeah. So I feel like if you're feeling a lot of resistance in a certain area of your life that you're really like nitpicking at, and you're like I know I'm not good at this this one thing and it constantly shows up in my life and God damn it. I need to fix it because it keeps showing up and I know it's a pattern and it happened all these times, but it's just. It's like there's a lot of friction and a lot of tension and it's like you feel like you're constantly knocking your head up against a wall or something. Maybe that's not the thing to focus on right now. Yes, maybe that is just something for another day.

Speaker 4:

It's okay, you know it's a thing for you. There is a thing that I'm specifically thinking about myself for right now. So not just you, it's me, like it's all of us. There is this thing and you know there's times where it keeps coming up and it's just not the right. But there is this thing and there's times where it keeps coming up and it's just not the right time for me to fix it, because it's too much of a battle.

Speaker 4:

But, I'm sure there's something that's been nudging you, that keeps showing up in conversations or things that you're seeing or things that you're hearing, and it's this gentle nudge and you're like man, I think I'm ready to fix that. Well, let's try this. Let's try this affirmation first. Let's try to make a better decision. For this, let's add this one habit in let's just do this Like think of it very gently Don't fight. If it's a fight, it's not the right time.

Speaker 3:

Just right now.

Speaker 4:

Just right now.

Speaker 3:

Yes now, yes, yes, exactly. And having that ease and and 90 of healing is awareness. So even if you have that awareness and you don't do much for it, you have that awareness. So your body starts to create the time and space and experiences for you to be able to heal it. So that's a part of it as well as a part of your journey. It might seem so small, but having that awareness of knowing I have this pattern, I have this thing I want to change or whatever it is, and I want to move forward softly, that awareness really helps to carry you in that way as well. Yeah.

Speaker 4:

Yeah, I like that. So when we're thinking about reclamation, yeah, I like that. So when we're thinking about reclamation, we have another question for you, a prompt, and we really want you to ask yourself, like if you were fully in your power right now, what would you stop doing or what would you start saying yes to? So, just like Nikki said, if you were on your deathbed, you know and you're going to look back at your life what would you look back at yourself right now and what would you advise them to stop doing, or what would you advise them to start saying yes to? I think that's a really good way to look at it, especially with such a great visual, nikki. I really do think so.

Speaker 3:

Yeah, yeah. If I were fully in my power right now, what would I stop doing or start saying yes to, absolutely Stop that procrastinating and start moving forward with this energy that you have and some things that could work for you. To do this. You know from the cancer energy that you're going to have. Use that cancer energy to journal, emotionally, emotionally, journal, write out what you're feeling. Just write it out, let it out cry while you journal all of that.

Speaker 3:

Something else I really love is like a self-talk walk, and what that is is that you're just walking by yourself out in nature and you are having a conversation with yourself and you're letting all the emotions out and you get to talk it through and talk it out and this releases anything that's in your body and it can be the most ridiculous things, where you say it out loud and you get to talk it through and talk it out and this releases anything that's in your body and it can be the most ridiculous things where you say it out loud and you think to yourself that was the most ridiculous statement I've ever said, but you needed to get it out. So I also love a self-talk walk. You can do home rituals where you're really feeling that energy. Maybe it's a morning or evening routine, maybe it's something with a nice luxurious bath or something where you're just, you know, feeling that emotional experience. Maybe it's, but you start to uncover who this inner child is and you know what they want and speak to them.

Speaker 3:

There's a lot out there where you can, you know, access that and even work with someone to access what this inner child healing could work for you and do for you to help heal when you move from cancer into Leo. Some of the ways that you can embody this, speaking your truth, of course, when you feel that aha, that yes, that it's a yes, et cetera, I'm speaking my truth. I have creative expression, I'm creating, I'm sharing my creations, whether it's my speak, whether it's my arts, whether it's my dance, like we talked about, whatever it might be, and having bold embodiment for it, using that Leo energy, like Lizzie, be bold.

Speaker 4:

Be bold like Lizzie. Be you, just be you in front of everyone, because you don't care what they do. Yeah exactly.

Speaker 3:

And then, when we have this full moon in Capricorn, check out. Do you feel burnt out? Do you feel like you are burning the candle at both ends? Do you feel like you're saying yes to too many things and you need to release the buck, buck, moon, release. What do you need to release and have your energetic boundaries like. Energize yourself and then create your energetic boundaries and, honestly, boundaries don't even need to be words. If you want to have a boundary with someone, you don't have to physically tell them look, I'm putting a boundary up for you. You can energetically have one. Just create your energy, your cocoon, what you want and how you want to distance yourself either from someone or an experience or a situation or whatever it might be, and then think about how you can redefine success.

Speaker 3:

It doesn't need to be this very literal progression that is said. We're told this is what success is. It could be something completely different. Like Lizzie talked about when she was talking to her sister. Expressing who I am is a longer equation than me just saying I do this or I do that. And we're moving into this era where, when someone asks you what you do, it's no longer going to be about your profession In a few years. We're moving into this age of love and Aquarius and of purpose, and your purpose isn't just your vocation, it's how you show up everywhere in life. So feeling that and redefining what success looks like for you, yes, I love all that.

Speaker 4:

I love that. And you know those are specific to the different energies. So Nikki gave you really good, tangible things to do while we're still in cancer. She gave you some great things to do as soon as we hit that full moon coming up here for the Capricorn full moon on the 10th, and then she also hit you with some really good things to do once we move into Leo here towards the end of the month. So those are kind of like some bigger things we can do.

Speaker 4:

But in our daily life, like how do we do these things in our daily life? How do we move with this energy from the day to day, these things in our daily life, how do we move with this energy from the day to day? And I think some of the great things we can do are some weekly rituals or some prompts. You know we've offered you a few different prompts, a few different questions for you to stop and think about, maybe picking one of those for a week to really like sit and journal out or even talk through with a friend If you have like a trusted friend and you do really good with like communicating with somebody else to come up with your great ideas. If that's how you come up with these things. Sit down with someone trusted and like, talk through these questions, you know, together. Another thing is the mirror work, like I talked about. You know saying these things to yourself as you look at yourself in the eyes, you know in the mirror. Or like giving yourself a high five, making yourself feel good, or using movement, using some movement as an activation, like maybe that's going for a walk, like Nikki said, maybe that's stretching, maybe that is going and pushing yourself in the gym so that your mind has a break from thinking about all of your stressors. So really leaning into movement and whatever feels good for you in that week.

Speaker 4:

As women, we have our infradium rhythm, our menstrual cycle, like every single week. We have different hormones. They change every day. We're not just like men. We don't have just the circadian 24-hour cycle. We have this monthly 28 to 32-ish day rhythm, whatever it is for you. So things that are going to feel good to you at one point in the month are not going to feel good to you at another part in the month. So I would definitely encourage you to check in with that. We'll dive more into that here.

Speaker 4:

On another episode, but, the last thing that I really want you to think about for like, really reclaiming who you are when you came here on a soul level is taking these small, brave actions, so these things where society tells you not to do something or not to say something, or not to show a certain emotion, or not to shine, or whatever it may be. Just take a moment and do it anyways. Feel the fear and do it anyways.

Speaker 3:

Yes, the book. Yes, is that a book? It's a book.

Speaker 4:

Yes, I've never read it. I'm sorry people.

Speaker 3:

But you knew it. That's exactly what it is when we push through that boundary that we make for ourselves sometimes it's a silly boundary that doesn't actually serve us and we push through that fear. That's where, really knowing yourself, your emotions, your ups and downs and what's a yes and what's a no and what's right for you, that's where it really pays off. When you step through that and do it anyway, and some words just to guide you through, is the beginning of the month feel expressed, feel your emotions, express them. You're transmuting feeling into expression and you're also reflecting. During that time, while you're also moving into this reclamation, you're reclaiming what is inside of you from the soul level and with the buck moon, you're releasing, but then you're rising as we grow and evolve into these deep summer, see, this deep summer season, these summer months here, and it's it's something that really benefits you to feel, express, reflect, reclaim, release and rise.

Speaker 4:

Yes, yes. So we would love, love, love, love to hear what you're reclaiming this month. Put it in the comments, send us a DM to either Modern Zen Co or to me and Nikki personally. Tag us whatever it is. We really want to hear about what you're reclaiming this month and next week.

Speaker 4:

Nikki has a very, very special episode that she came up with all on her own and it's going to be a short reflection episode and it's called where are you still hiding? So if you're looking for a little bit more help, a little bit more guidance to get you deeper into this question about what you're still hiding, come and check out the episode that Nikki's going to be doing. And we're just so happy to have you guys with us. You know it's been I mean no, it's been we have been working on Modern Zen Co for a year and two weeks now. I mean. We literally started this like middle of June last year, so a year later, we are so like, so grateful to have you guys here with us today and sticking it out through the end and trusting us to at least give you some things to think about.

Speaker 3:

Yes, I mean yeah. Thank you for listening to us, thank you for staying with us. We really are so honored to share something that we are so passionate about with each episode and have guests on. So we really appreciate your time and attention and listening to this and we hope it helped in some way and if you think it helped, would help anyone else share it along.

Speaker 4:

Absolutely, and you know, another thing is that we're giving you like very high level right here. So, if you're interested in astrology, if you're interested in these cosmic shifts that happen, you know, nikki and I, we have astrologists that we like to listen to and I have, you know, one in particular Molly McCord. That's an intuitive astrologist and she goes, she literally releases a podcast episode for every single week's energy, as well as the overall month's energy, as well as any energy that happens to go with like full moons or like big shifts. So, nikki, who's your favorite person to listen?

Speaker 3:

to. Oh man, I love her. I love Molly McCord. I think she does such an amazing job with everything that's going on. Chani Nichols is also really great C-H-A-N-I. Such a beautiful outlook. She has actually wonderful daily emails or weekly emails that can come to you and give you an inkling as to what's happening with the moon, with the energies, what's happening on earth, what's going on, why you feel this way. So she's really good too and looking kind of at the astrological dates and everything, and she has a lot of offerings as well. So that's also in terms of Molly. I also listen to Chani Nichols too.

Speaker 4:

Okay, that's perfect. So we will link those two women and how you can get on their email list or listen to our podcast or whatever in the show notes, so we will make sure to link those for you guys, because that is what we like to listen to. So those are our resources personally. So again, thank you so much. We love you guys. This is a big month.

Speaker 3:

Get into the feels, yep, and then feel it and then move forward Exactly and be yourself.
