Balance can feel like a myth when you’re tired, stretched thin, or quietly grieving an old version of yourself. We slow everything down with an equinox meditation practice designed to help you release what you’ve outgrown, receive what you’re ready for, and reconnect with the divinity within and all around you.

We start with a gentle settling: relaxing the face, shoulders, belly, hands, legs, and feet, then moving into equal breath breathing (inhale for four, exhale for four). This simple rhythm is a powerful mindfulness tool for nervous system regulation, grounding, and mental clarity, especially when your mind wants to sprint ahead. Instead of forcing “good vibes,” we explore what real balance feels like when it’s not rigid or performative.

From there, we move into soft shadow work. You’ll bring to mind a role, belief, or identity you’re ready to release and meet whatever comes up with one line that changes everything: “thank you for carrying me this far.” Then you’ll sense what’s emerging next, confidence, clarity, calm, boundaries, and let the light gently meet the shadow. We close with mantras you can return to anytime: I honor what is ending. I welcome what is emerging. I trust the balance within me.

The equinox is a moment of balance, equal light, and equal dark. Today's practice isn't about choosing one over the other. It's about integration. So find a comfortable seat or lie down. Gently close your eyes. Allow your body to settle in, releasing any tension, relax your face, relax your shoulders, your belly, your hands, your legs, and your feet. Now take a slow inhale and a steady exhale. Now inhale for one, two, three, four, and exhale for four, three, two, one. Continue with this equal breath, equal rhythm. Notice how balance feels in your body. Not forced, not rigid. One two three four exhale four three one inhale one two three four exhale four three one inhale one two three four exhale four three one inhale one two three four exhale four three two one inhale one two three four exhale four three two one inhale one two three four exhale four three two one inhale one two three four exhale four three one inhale one two three four exhale four three two one last one inhale one two three four exhale four three two one release the practice release the breath allow it to return to a natural state bring to mind something you've been outgrowing a role a belief a version of yourself and notice what emotions arise instead of pushing these away simply say to yourself thank you for carrying me this far. Allow softness towards the shadow. Confidence, clarity, calm, boundaries. You don't have to define the whole future, just notice the feeling. Now allow that light to gently meet the shadow. They are not opposites, they are both parts of you. Repeat silently to yourself. I honor what is ending. I welcome what is emerging. I trust the balance within me. Allow your breath to be natural. And take this time to let both the light and the shadow exist together. And notice how you're feeling? Do you feel any different? Does your body feel different? Does your mind feel different? Do your emotions feel different? And now begin to gently wiggle your fingers and your toes. Slowly bring some movement back into the body. And whenever you're ready, you can slowly flutter your eyes open. The equinox remind us, we do not bloom by rejecting our darkness. We bloom by integrating it. Thank you for joining me today.
