Ever had a season where everything looks fine on paper, but inside you feel stretched, wobbly, and weirdly disconnected from your own life? We’ve been there, and we wanted to share a simple practice we actually use when we need to slow down, reset, and feel steady again.

Lizzy guides you through a calming grounding meditation built around breathwork, body awareness, and gentle nervous system support. You’ll settle into a comfortable position, soften the places that hold stress, and breathe through the heart center and belly to release pressure you may not even realize you’re carrying. From there, we move into a grounding visualization that helps you feel held by the earth, supported by gravity, and anchored in the present moment.

Then we shift to what can feel hardest during growth: staying present when life is expansive. Instead of pushing for answers or rushing the next step, we practice breathing with change and letting it unfold. We hope you enjoy it and continue to join us weekly on the Modern Zen Collective Podcast, elevating your mind, body, and spirit. And now today's practice. I'm very happy to be here today with you and sharing this practice with you. If you've been feeling stretched, expanded, or a little unsteady in this season, like I have, this is your space to slow down and to come back to yourself. So take a moment to find a comfortable position. Maybe seated, maybe lying down, whatever feels good for you today. And allow your body to soften. Take a deep breath in through your nose. And a slow breath out through your mouth. Again, inhaling nice and deep. And exhaling, releasing any tension you've been holding on to. And take one more full deep breath in and out on your own. Allowing your belly, your chest, your shoulders to expand, and allowing everything to soften. Let your breath come back to a normal pace. Allow it to be a little bit deeper, a little bit slower. Settle in. Your chest. Take a deep breath into your heart center, allowing it to expand to its fullest. And exhale, let everything go. Let any pressure, any weight on that chest just release. In your stomach. Breathe into your belly, allow it to expand. And exhale, allow it to contract. Let go of anything there. Without any judgment, simply notice how your body feels. Continue to breathe deeply. And with every exhale, allow your body to soften just a little bit more. Relax just a little bit more. Allow it to be held by the earth, by the space around you, by gravity. Not forcing, just allowing. Now bring your awareness to the base of your body. Maybe your tailbone if you're seated. Or maybe the back of your body if you're laying down. And I'd like you to imagine roots extending down from you. Deep into Mother Earth. Through all the layers of rock all the way down to the center of the earth. Steady, strong, supportive. With each breath, feel yourself becoming more grounded, more held, more supported in this moment. Now gently bring your awareness to anything in your life that feels expansive right now. Growth change. Simply breathe with it. Let this be your anchor. You don't need to rush. You just simply need to be present and let it all unfold. Take one final deep breath in and a slow breath out. And whenever you're ready, can slowly flutter your eyes open and gently return to the space around you. Carry this sense of grounding and steadiness with you throughout the rest of your day. And at any point you feel like you need more, you can always come back to this practice. See y'all next time. Have a great rest of your day.
