Wow! Another great episode that I enjoyed on my morning walk, the walk I have only been able to start doing since my exit from the classroom. Key moments for me: - the reference to the day we all had to go back to school for a day only to be locked down immediately. That day goes down as my worst ever day in the whole of my teaching career (and the kids weren't in school). I shed a little tear at that part of the podcast. - Sarah mentioning the one bit of the job that many of us will always miss... that magic that's created between ourselves and our students when it's just us, doing OUR thing. - the reference to this being the autumn of our lives. YES, this is our time, a time to be brave, to put ourselves first after decades of not doing so and believing that we are in NO WAY too old to live oht our crazy dreams (I WILL play violin on a festival stage in 2025!!!) - and finally, when Helen see that poor teacher and thought "rather you than me" and the empathy she felt for him in that moment. So much more that resonated too, amazing work Sarah and Sharon. Nicola Cavlj xxxx
