Delusion... or alignment?

Let's check in. We're one week into Delusional June, and I wanna share and inspire you. This challenge has already shifted so much for me. Effortlessly, like not, not the action. The action has been effortless, but getting myself to take action. I've gotten off the couch and worked out every single. Day since June started.

Now let me, let me explain to you a little bit about my love affair or lack thereof with [00:01:00] working out. I know I need to move, have some form of movement every single day. I walk pretty regularly, but not all the time. And I'll do a set of squats here or there, but I am just not consistent. I'm good at starting stuff and then stopping, but since June one, since she showed up, since I woke up as her, I have walked every single day.

Well, I think there were a couple days that it rained that I didn't walk. Um, but almost an hour each time. Every single morning, I do 100 reps of four different exercise, so totaling 400 reps on an empty stomach. So I do this before I eat anything, every single day, and I've started doing yoga twice a week.

So this is huge for someone who was barely, barely doing anything. It's been, [00:02:00] it's been remarkable. I've also made bolder decisions in my business, so one of the bold moves I've made. During delusional June, I'm finally taking action on an idea that I have been sitting on forever, a new human design offering to help women understand their energy and how they're uniquely wired, so that they can move through life with more ease and flow and less resistance.

I started doing behind the scenes, low-key market research, something I've been wanting to do for the longest, and I'm just basically having real conversations with women about what they actually need. I'd love to include you. But I've also been showing up, like the version of me I say I want to [00:03:00] become, and I'm amazed how just a micro shift like this has gotten me to actually do things that I've just been talking about for months. But this isn't just about me. I'm not the only one. So today I wanna share what's happening for other women who said yes to this challenge too, and what's possible when we just stop waiting.

And go first. So first, why does this work? This challenge works because of a few powerful things that are backed by science. I'm gonna put my Mel Robbins hat on for a second and talk about the science behind this. There's something called neuroplasticity. Basically your brain rewires based on repeated thoughts and actions.

So when you act like your future self, your brain starts to believe it. You are literally training yourself into a new identity. And [00:04:00] then there's something called embodied cognition. So this is the science behind Act as if like sometimes you'll hear if you want that promotion. You need to act like her before you get it, so your body sends signals to the brain and when you move, speak and show up like her, your brain catches up.

You are not pretending, you're practicing, you're not waiting for proof anymore. You are becoming the proof. And you know, at the most basic level, we already know what to do, right? We know what to do. The answers are always within. We're just giving ourselves permission to start now. You know that you need to get off of the couch and go work out.

I mean, that's nothing new. You know, you need to go to bed earlier. You need to, you know, you need to [00:05:00] wake up early. You know, you need to eat healthy. You know, you need to make these bold moves and stop holding yourself back. Stop procrast procrastinating. We know all of this. So it's just giving yourself permission to just start acting on it immediately.

So why did I start delusional June? I started because I wanted to snap myself out of this waiting mode, this daydreaming mode. I'm the world's biggest daydreamer. We, we, we wait for the perfect moment, right? We wait for clarity. We wait to feel confident first. But action is what builds confidence. Action creates clarity.

You know, I recently heard Gary v. His real name is Gary Vanerchuk. I'm, I think I'm, might be botching that a little bit, but Gary V said something that stuck with me, he said, and there was a little bit of profanity there, but I'll give you the clean version. He said, I don't give up. [00:06:00] If you're ready, when are you ever ready?

Were you ready when you got married? Were you ready when you first had children? Were you ready when you got your job or when you moved across the country? When have you ever been ready? You're, you're, you're never ready. You just go, oh, so what would your life look like if you just started acting like the version of you you're becoming?

Is already here. So I then invited you to join me and a lot of you did, and I really appreciate it. You guys reaching out to me and sending me messages and sending me notes. It makes a difference. It's lonely On this side of the microphone. I don't know if anyone is listening or gonna do this stuff, so it was so fun hearing from you.

So let's just hear from you a little bit. Let's start with Melanie, my beautiful roommate from college. She [00:07:00] called me after hearing about Delusional June and said, I'm launching my business. I'm finally launching my business. Now she's been talking about it and building it behind the scenes, but like so many of us, ooh, taking that first leap.

But she spoke it into existence. She called me, she said, I'm doing it. Yes. And then she left me. This voice note./

So good. Let's go Mel. Let's go. And she also told me that she doesn't even think this energy is delusional. And I agree with her. I get it. We really aren't being delusional. I'm just calling it delusional. Because it just gives you this playful permission slip. It helps you justify why you're acting a certain way that maybe you weren't acting the like the day before.

That's all. It just says, Hey, this might not be my current reality, but I'm gonna act like it already is. So next up, we have a message from Kathy. She shared a message with me that I just wanna just, just read, read to you. She said, this month I'm [00:09:00] practicing a daily devotional called Living as the Woman who already is.

Each morning I look into my own eyes and speak the truth of who I already am. I have time, I have wealth, I have love. I am free. My work is wildly impactful and deeply received. Mm. I am held. I am rising. I am already her. I get delightfully delusional by dressing, speaking, walking, and structuring my day as if my spiritual empire is already thriving, which of course it is.

My boldest move refusing to chase. Instead, I choose. I walk. I remember, this isn't fantasy, it's fidelity to the truth. [00:10:00] My soul already knows. Ooh, powerful. Right? And I actually had a pleasure to do a human design session with Kathy. Just love her. And she's a manifesting generator and I'm a generator. So as generators, we do not chase.

We attract. It's Queen energy. It's beautiful. Now let's go to Siri. I love Siri. She's hosting two retreats and she's choosing to show up in full trust that the right women will be there and here's what she shared. Hi, Tracy it's Siri Baruc Thornton podcast. This in the quiet power of devotion and dedication that when we commit. Just showing up, showing with our full heart transformation follows. So right now I have seven incredible women confirmed for my [00:11:00] first and second degree Reiki certification retreat at my home in campus, Washington, July 21st to the 23rd.

In. Uh, Reiki again, and then I'm having a goddess of light retreat.

I'm stretching myself in all of these ways and trusting that the right women that are called are. Continue to be delusional themselves in getting themselves into the room, into the spaces where they can uplevel their life and feel empowered. So thank you for creating this space to name our delusional but totally real dreams.

Here's what Jen wrote. So fun. I'm so here for delusional, Joan. I'm believing in trust this month. There's that word again, trust that is really leaning into listening and trusting my deep yeses and nos. I'm in a place where post-surgery, I'm on forced rest, no chores, not even bending down to pick up laundry.

It's made me look at why I've historically had a hard time taking a break, or rather giving myself a break and really break some of that down. I'm getting delightfully delusional by doing all those things I happily recommend to others, but never actually do. Like play music and read for a whole afternoon, take a nap.

Watch Bridgeton by [00:13:00] myself so nobody can walk in on any racy scenes or tell me it's silly, even though it is, and that's why it's fun. Play in my garden. Say yes to every opportunity. For fun. My bold move is going to be learning to enjoy praise. This month I'm focusing on allowing it in and not rejecting it, letting it flow in and out.

Love the opportunity to be thoughtful about this. So good. And can we just talk about Bridgeton for a second? Can we just take a little tangent here? The Duke of Hastings. Come on from season one. Mm. Okay. I'm just gonna move on with my married self. Yes. Okay. Alright. Oh, and accepting praise. Jen mentions that.

Why is that so hard for us? Why is it so hard to accept? Praise. Something so beautiful. We need to all be more open to that. And to close this out, I wanna share [00:14:00] a voice note from my beautiful friend, Daphne. She's stepping out in beautiful ways and starting to believe that she can be the person she wants to be./ Okay, so d Lulu, June. Um, what I'm believing in this month is that I can

be the person I wanna be. I have this. S ongoing thing in my head that I'm just boring and I'm dull and I never do anything. And I always have these big plans and ideas of things that I'm gonna do, and then I feel like I get lazy or I get, I don't know, stage fright or um, imposter syndrome and think I can't do it, but I am believing that I can do the things I want to do this month and I'm going to.

I am getting delightfully delusional by. Volunteering at [00:15:00] a cat rescue called Pause or Claws because one day I would like to adopt a cat and I've never had a cat before, so I figured this is the best way to get to know cats and help a good group in need. This is not something I would normally do

. One bold move I've made or plan to is this month. Um, I am going to start getting up early, which if you know me, that is not me. I will linger in bed for as long as I possibly can. However, um, I am going to start getting up. During the week, no later than 6:30 AM that is one bold move I'm planning to make.

Will I actually do it? We'll see, we'll see. I just love her and I think you guys can see why she absolutely has the biggest, most beautiful heart. And Mm, love you death. So these are the kinds of shifts that people are taking in delusional June, just by [00:16:00] simply being her. So this week's invitation, if you're listening and thinking, I wanna do this too, but maybe you don't know where to start, here's your nudge.

Start small, choose one. Bold move. Choose one belief to practice. Choose one way to show up differently this week, and then tell me how it goes. Again, all I did was I said, June one, I'm gonna wake up as her. I didn't know what that meant. I just gave into it and I just let her take the will and run the show a little bit and the rest simply unfolded.
