Delusional June: For the Woman Who's This Close to Her Breakthrough

Okay, so here we are. It's late June and I just wanna say June's not done and neither are we. Not even close because delusional June wasn't a trend. It just wasn't a cute little challenge. It was this big, beautiful shift in energy that cracked something open. I know it did in me, [00:01:00] you said. Yes. Maybe it was loud, maybe it was quiet, maybe no one else even noticed, but you felt it, and that's what matters.

So today I'm back with one final delusional June update. I cannot believe it's been a month. Where is this summer going? This one is gonna feature two beautiful women who went first. They didn't wait for the right time, or they didn't wait for the perfect plan. They just said yes. You're gonna hear directly from them and I hope it makes you wonder what else might be possible if you keep going.

First up is Peggy. She's a friend and also one of my new yoga teachers. Her class has been such a gift. She's teaching me the actual [00:02:00] foundation of each yoga pose. So like where my weight goes or how my hands should be, where to breathe, when to breathe, how to breathe, and it's giving me confidence. I didn't even know I need it.

I feel like I'm actually doing yoga, right? And not faking it and hoping I don't pull something. But here's the wild part. Peggy almost didn't teach at all, like ever. She's a fellow introvert. Where are my introverts in the most beautiful, true to herself way and what she shares. In this voice note, it's a reminder of just how close we all get to canceling the thing that could change our lives.

But instead she showed up.

Hey Tracy, it's Peggy. I just listened to your week [00:03:00] one of Delusional June. I told you I was in on this one, and I'm gonna give you my recap of delusional June. I decided this month to put myself out there in ways that I've never done before. You don't know this about me, but I, introvert is, um, is putting it lightly.

I have never went bowling because you have to put yourself in front of people to bowl. So I've never done that. So to put myself out there to teach people yoga for the first time, um. And showing up and being that person that can share something that is very meaningful to me with others because I really believe that others can, um, benefit from this.

Is huge. So I did that for the fire department, which was very scary. But let me tell you, when I opened up my patio in my [00:04:00] backyard, I was terrified to do that. I was, I was so close to canceling. Um, I woke up at six in the morning. There was puddles on the patio from the rain the night before. I was like, oh no, nope.

I get, I. I was kind of like, happy, like, I get to cancel, I'm gonna cancel. I'm like, wait a second. What are you doing? This is delusional June. This is the month where you are that person that can put yourself in front of people. And I did it and um, I, I did it. And I, it's kind of a weird thing that happened that week or the, the following couple of days, I've had two opportunities presented to me that I did not seek out.

Intentionally, I think I kind of put it out there in the universe or something because my phone rang. And I have an opportunity to teach to another agency. And then I got a text from my girlfriend, Stephanie, that said, Hey, Peggy, there's a [00:05:00] class or an opening at this studio down the street. Uh, I think you'd be perfect for it. So, I mean, like what? I am now putting myself out there all over the place. So Delusional June is, um. Pretty much a reality, but just wanted to share that with you. Talk to you soon. Bye-bye.

Ooh, can we talk about that for a second? Had she canceled, she wouldn't have had the chance to see what she's capable of. I wouldn't have gotten the benefit of her class and the women in our community wouldn't be moving their bodies and building their confidence in the way they are now. The ripple effect of a woman saying yes to herself.

It's real and it's powerful. Alright, now let's get to my podcast sister and friend Dana Hunter Ella. She is the host of Girls Who Recover. If you haven't had a chance, check out her podcast. She's phenomenal, and you'll get a [00:06:00] chance to meet her on an upcoming episode on this podcast. This woman's energy.

Mm. Electric. I want you to hear how she recommitted herself mid-month with a fire that could light up a room.

You know, I gotta send my girl a voice note and every time I hear her podcast and love it. I'm so glad that I listened to your podcast today because honestly, I got delusional for like five minutes and then I got to totally distracted. So. I'm, I'm back on the train. June 12th is the rebirth of delusional June, and I wanna say three things to you as a commitment, and maybe if you think about it, you could vo you could message me and be like, how's it going?

D Lulu number one is I'm want to, I'm going to, she is going to get up an hour early to spend that morning time that was so precious. And holy. And for some reason I have [00:07:00] just stopped doing that over the last couple of months, and that's where I get my guidance and exercise and meditation and quiet and journaling, and I've just basically foregone that.

The second thing she is doing is being the CEO of her business. And that feels terrifying because right now I'm just being a shitty employee. Feel free to quote me on that, and I'm not exactly sure what that means, but I'm gonna start showing up and this is the boss of my own business, and when I get up tomorrow morning.

To do my holy time. I'm gonna write out exactly what comes through about that little bold, brave move each day that I'm gonna do for the rest of June as the CEO of girls who recover. And the third thing that she is going to do is show up as a sexy, adoring loving wife to her handsome, sexy husband, because I have not been doing that, and I, she is, she's in [00:08:00] love with her husband and she's obsessed with him, and she.

Affirms him and encourages him in a way that's empowering and passionate and makes him wanna make all the moves. So I'm claiming those three things for delusional June delusional mid-June for midlife up early for the holy time, CEO of her business, and an adoring, encouraging, affirming sexy AF wife to her husband.

Thank you, Tracy. Thank you. Thank you. Thank you.

CEO energy, sacred morning energy, sexy wife energy. I mean, she didn't just dip a toe back in. Dana did a cannonball straight into the life that she wants to live, and I love it all. She made it playful. She made it personal. It's powerful, and I love her for that. [00:09:00] So these women are proof that a tiny decision can unlock a whole new world.

I've seen it in myself too. I've continued to work out every single day this month. Except for today. I'm still working on it. But to be fair, our AC has been out for five days. We just got a new air conditioner today, so it's been a little hard to work out. But is that an excuse? It absolutely is. I will finish my workout before I hit the pillow tonight.

Okay. I'm not saying all this to brag. I say this because. That was just not my reality before. I cannot tell you enough how inconsistent I can be when it comes to working out, but this month I decided to believe that I could be someone who moves every day. And then it just happened. I just kind of became her and I didn't sign up saying, for this month I'm gonna become a woman who works out every day.

I just said, I'm gonna be [00:10:00] delusional. I'm gonna let her lead. I didn't know what that meant, and it turned out. It was the thing, the catalyst that got me to move. So that's what this month has been all about. Not waiting, not hesitating, not overthinking, just choosing the future version of you and acting like she's already here because she is.

So what if we kept going. What if this wasn't a one and done challenge? What if we made this our new normal, bold, curious, a little unhinged lit up from the inside? I wanna thank everyone who's been part of this experiment. Whether you texted me, DMed voice noted, or just felt this in your bones and made a move, you're part of this, [00:11:00] your energy is contagious.

It's come with me energy and I'm here for it. So here's your invitation for this week. Just choose one area of your life or maybe you've been playing a little small and make a delusional move. Say yes before you feel ready. Raise your hand, open your mouth. Write the thing. Pitch the person, light the damn match.

Just do it. Do it. Do something. Let's not let this flame die, just because the calendar flips delusional. June may be wrapping, but this version of you. Mm, she's just getting started. Catch you next week.
