The September Challenge: Who Would You Be If You Forgot?
I LOVE hearing from you! Drop me a text! 💬
What if, just for this month, you gave yourself selective amnesia?
Forget the “I’m too this,” “I can’t that,” and every excuse that’s been running the show.
This idea landed on my For You page thanks to creator AhmadTalks. What if we really could hit reset in September and walk into the month baggage-free?
So this week, I’m throwing down a ridiculously simple challenge with instant payoffs: wipe the slate clean, ditch the mental clutter, and see who you’d be without all the stories you’ve been dragging around.
We’ll talk Human Design conditioning, the sneaky ways other people’s voices become your own, and how to finally send your inner “Mr. No” on vacation.

The September Challenge: Who Would You Be If You Forgot?
[00:00:00] So what if tomorrow you woke up with amnesia?
So what if tomorrow you woke up with amnesia? Now, I'm gonna date myself here a little bit, but remember in the soap [00:01:00] operas, someone was always waking up just magically and conveniently with amnesia. Well, I'm not necessarily talking about that kind, like not the scary kind, but the kind where you forget every single negative story you've been telling yourself.
This isn't my idea. I, I'm completely ripping this off from someone. Um, on, I think he was on my for you page on TikTok. His name was Ahad Talks. That was the name of his channel. But I saw this the other day and he was simply suggesting that for September, we do a bit of a September reset. We just all wake up.
Um, he was suggesting September one. We're a couple days behind that, but he was suggesting September one. We all just wake up with amnesia. So let's talk about this a little bit. Think of it as intentional amnesia. So especially in midlife, we're all walking into a room and trying to remember [00:02:00] why did we come in here and where are my keys and where's my phone?
Lord knows if I did not have an Apple watch that would ding, that I can ding to let me know where my phone is, I would never know where that thing is. So we have brain fog, right? What if we could turn this into our superpower for this month? Just wipe the slate clean for one month. So Ahad suggested that you start by resetting your life.
And I don't know if I'm gonna do all of this, but you declutter, you get organized, you go get a haircut. You just kind of get your life in order so that when you have this selective, intentional amnesia and you decide to forget all of these negative stories that your life just, you know, fills. Good, and, and your environment looks in order.
Now, I don't know, I, I dunno if we have time to do all that, but all you have to do is get amnesia for the month of September. Just [00:03:00] forget every negative thought we've been telling ourselves. So similar to like what we did back in delusional June, that was fun, right? We just, you know, woke up as her for September.
How easy is this? There's no cost to this. You just choose to forget. And September is the perfect time to do this. There's something magical about this time of the year fall. I know it's not quite fall, but fall is my favorite time of the year. Hands down. I love it. And there's like magic in the air.
Everyone's going back to school, back to work. Summer vacations starting to end. We're thinking about what's next. We're planning. There's like an energy in the air, like people are kind of ready to get back to things and to finish the year off strong. So it's perfect. It's the perfect time. Let's finish the year off strong.
And this reminds me a little bit of human design because in human [00:04:00] design we have something called conditioning work. All conditioned. You've probably heard me talk about this before, but from the moment that you're born, there's conditioning from your parents, your friends, your teachers, your um, church celebrities, movies, what's going on in the planetary systems.
You always hear about Mercury retrograde, like you're just getting bombarded all the time and we're being told. This is what success looks like. This is how a successful person acts and does and lives and to all of that. And so what happens is you're taking on all of these different energies from different sources and you're taking them on as your own.
And in human design it, you are encouraged to decondition to get all that stuff and move it to the side. So what's left is. What is truly you? So when you think about like the stories, the things, the things that I want you to forget [00:05:00] for September are all the stories that you tell yourself.
I'm too old, I'm too young. I'm not the type of person who does this. I don't wake up early. I don't work out. I'm not a night person. I don't drink. I drink too much. I have a sweet tooth. I don't exercise. I mean, we could just go on. What if we just forgot it? I'm too this, I'm too, that I can't, this, I can't, that it's too late.
I'm not good at this. I don't know how to do this. I'm not the type of person who, you know, follows through on things. I'm, I couldn't possibly start a podcast. I've never done that before. I'm not an entrepreneur. Blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah. All of those limiting beliefs, they have to take the month off.
They, they've gotta go. Bye-bye. Wiping it clean. So for me, you know, I may have introduced you to the voice inside of my head that just tells me all the, the negative things. His name is Mr. [00:06:00] No, I'm pack packing his bags and I'm sending him on a vacation. He's gonna take the month off. And why does this work?
Well. There's that neuroplasticity, the brain, it can literally rewire itself. When we change thoughts and behaviors, when we tell ourselves, you know, different stories, there's also a, um, a psychological fresh start effect. There's something to new beginnings, like it's, you know, your birthday, it's a Monday, it's a new month, it's a new year, like boost motivation.
We can create like a mental boundary between the old me and the new me. So instead of dragging around all that baggage, all the stories we've been telling ourselves, our entire lives that we wanna make real, what if you just chose amnesia? Replace it with [00:07:00] curiosity or openness, possibility. So this month.
Let's do it together. Wake up tomorrow and pretend you've forgotten all the old negative scripts. You don't need to solve them or heal them or fight them. Just forget them. Intentional amnesia. So your invitation is choose one story, at least one story you're going to forget for September. If you'd like.
If it feels good, write it down and then cross it out and say, not today, not this month. And if you give yourself this reset, this final third of the year could fill entirely different. A whole new chapter could begin right now. So until next time, stay [00:08:00] high on life. One beautiful fix at a time.
