What happens when two friends with wildly similar ADHD energy try to “settle” who has it worse? We turn our habits into a game, take a few fast quizzes, and end up with two hilariously accurate archetypes: golden retriever brain and hyperfocus goblin. From paper planners and Google Calendar loyalty to object permanence fails and deadline sprints, we unpack the ways ADHD actually feels in a normal week—and where we quietly excel.

We get honest about procrastination, time blindness, and that vibe-dependent moment when a task finally clicks. One of us swears by sleep discipline for training; the other admits to revenge bedtime procrastination and wholesome late-night TV. We explore how chaotic upbringings can turn into crisis superpowers—reading a room fast, staying calm under pressure, and triaging like a pro—while still wrestling with decision fatigue, emotional intensity, and the doom pile of laundry. You’ll hear real talk about tabs, routines that die young, and why motivation follows interest more than importance.

This conversation isn’t clinical; it’s practical and personal. We share ADHD hacks that actually stick: pair boring tasks with music or podcasts, keep visual to-do lists under three items, use external reminders without shame, and treat deadlines as gentle pressure rather than panic fuel. If your brain runs on curiosity and dopamine more than strict discipline, you’ll feel seen—and you’ll leave with small systems that respect how attention really moves.

Hit play, then tell us your archetype and the one hack you actually use. If this made you laugh or helped you feel understood, follow the show, share it with a friend, and leave a quick review so more ADHD brains can find us.

SPEAKER_02

I am Heather.

SPEAKER_00

I'm Lacey.

SPEAKER_02

And we're back for another episode. Woo-woo. Today we're gonna do a fun little how ADHD are we?

SPEAKER_00

So we both know that we have ADHD, but we sometimes bicker about who has it worse. So our guess, well, my guess obviously is that I have it worse, and Heather's guess is that we're the same.

SPEAKER_02

Yeah, because like you're just autistic too, so it compounds it.

SPEAKER_00

That's fair. So I think Is this gonna rule that part of me out?

SPEAKER_02

Also, I somewhat thrive on structure in a weird way, so I think that I handle my ADHD better in certain ways. I can't. But I don't in certain ways.

SPEAKER_00

But you do with your money, so I'm very good when it comes to money, and you're very good at maintaining a calendar.

SPEAKER_02

So you're saying we should get married.

SPEAKER_00

But no, I fucking what are no what the fuck? A plus B does not equal D.

SPEAKER_02

I just figured I'll take care of the calendar. You'll take care of the money.

SPEAKER_00

Good God, girl. The funny thing though, so I I live by my calendar, but my calendar is on my phone. You like hand like your fucking calendar.

SPEAKER_02

I like it.

SPEAKER_00

That's intense. Every time you pull it out, I'm like, wow, I can't believe you're still doing it that way. I like it. But the thing, see, that part of why I think that my ADHD is worse than yours because I have to do it instantly while my phone is still in my hand, add it to my calendar right now. Because if I don't do it in this moment, it's not gonna be added. And if it's not on my calendar, it's not happening. You have to like physically go and look for it and find it. And like the personal steps.

SPEAKER_02

Yes, but there is a calendar that looks like my physical writing one that I can get on my phone that I can put on my iPad and like use my pencil like I'm writing. So then it'll make me feel like I'm utilizing it. It's my solution because I can't stand the Google Calendar thing. It can't be. Why? Oh God, it's my friend. It hurts my brain.

SPEAKER_00

We're besties. It controls my whole life, actually. Like if AI ever like really takes over, my Google Calendar already runs my life. So it ain't that much different. Except it might start adding its own shit on there. Okay.

SPEAKER_02

So we are gonna see.

SPEAKER_00

So you you got this quiz from chat GPT? Yes.

unknown

Okay.

SPEAKER_02

So it has a fun, it gave me all like the places I could actually diagnose myself and all, you know, the go here. And I was like, fun. I'm like, okay. I'm not asking for help. No, I just want to know what kind I am. Um, like fun kind. We're gonna, it's gonna be fun. Um, I do remember when I was like 23, I was like, saw therapist, like uh for whatever. And they handed me a packet, and they're like, you should spill this out, we should start you on some medication. And I was so offended that it was an ADHD packet. Like, you um, I do not.

SPEAKER_00

And my boyfriend at the time was like very different experiences of getting diagnosed.

SPEAKER_02

That I I didn't, I was never, I never went back. I did not get diagnosed. I was like, fuck that. That's so funny. Because my thought process, if I've lived with it long enough.

SPEAKER_00

I get that. Because I stopped taking my meds completely because I'm I'm so used to doing this without it, it didn't feel right. But I will say, maybe the fact that they noticed it in you so much sooner than they noticed it in me. Maybe yours is actually worse. Wouldn't that be funny?

SPEAKER_02

That would be funny. Okay. You just handle it better.

SPEAKER_00

Are you gonna be able to keep track of our I have my keep notes app opened?

SPEAKER_02

So you sit down to do one task, and oops, is this the right one? Yes, that's funny. That just answered it right there. Oh, that was shut up. Wait a lead thy example. Who does that? No. You do seven smaller tasks that are somehow related, end up reorganizing your entire life, or forget why you sat down.

SPEAKER_00

I'm gonna go with B.

SPEAKER_02

Yes. Same.

SPEAKER_00

I call it Roomba cleaning because I just I bounce. That's a I hit a roadblock and I bounce.

SPEAKER_02

All right, here. You pivot.

SPEAKER_00

Pivot!

SPEAKER_02

Pivot. Your brain most often feels like a calm lake, a browser with three tabs, a browser with 47 tabs, and music autoplaying, a squirrel DJing chaos. As fun as D is. I'm gonna go with C. I know I also wanted to say D, but I'm like, I don't think it's that chaotic. Uh maybe at times. Dude, do all ADHD people answer the same? Yeah, because C or D is like, yes, so far. Anyways.

SPEAKER_00

That's such a fun answer, though. And I do scroll out.

SPEAKER_02

So we actually have you can just because we're gonna end up keeping track of okay, points. So for those answers, we both got a point. One point each. So no, we're at two points. Since we're on question two, we've gotten one. So if you are listening along in our first question, yes, and the first question, if you answered B, C, or D, you get a point. If you answer B.

SPEAKER_00

A gets none.

SPEAKER_02

Yeah.

SPEAKER_00

Interesting point system.

SPEAKER_02

Um you just get one because it's like it's you either have it or you don't.

SPEAKER_00

Yes. Okay, so I thought this was like a severity thing.

SPEAKER_02

Well, we'll get I guess the answer. So question two, if you got C or D, you get a point. Um, okay, number three, deadlines make you a productive early, B, mildly stressed, C, suddenly unstoppable at 1157 p.m. D. Exist purely on adrenaline and vibes, and I am going with D. I'm gonna say C. We both get a point for that, anyways. If you had C or D, you also get a point.

SPEAKER_00

Well, then we are gonna end up with the same score because there is no way one of us isn't gonna select the.

SPEAKER_02

There's also other tests, too. This is just number one.

SPEAKER_00

But yeah, so far. I can attest to the fact that um mine is C because I used to do online schooling and they ran from Monday to Monday, essentially. So like I would have until.

SPEAKER_02

So hold on. Exit purely exists on a drill. I got my work done, but I definitely like it.

SPEAKER_00

Yeah, but you would do it like I wouldn't even start my assignment until Saturday. And it was due Sunday at the end.

SPEAKER_02

I would try to start it early, and then I would end up like cramming all like I would do some and then forget about it until last minute.

SPEAKER_00

You go in on vibes is how we got walking with Jesus. You know. So that is definitely you. You definitely wrote that paper on vibes. Let's be real. D is the correct answer for you.

SPEAKER_02

Maybe the DJing KR.

SPEAKER_00

I am just a procrastinator like a moment.

SPEAKER_02

You literally are.

SPEAKER_00

I am the worst about procrastinating. I am.

SPEAKER_02

You are there like last you will get there on time. Turn things in. Yes, like you're just right there.

SPEAKER_00

Yeah. Yeah. I am bad about procrastinating. I will know about a project for months. And I will determine how much time I need to actually complete it, and I will not start it a minute before that.

SPEAKER_02

See, I start it and then I'm like, I don't think about it until I'm like, oh fuck. And then we just do it. Then we just like smoke a little weed, eat an edible. I think back then we also did that. I don't know, and drink mimosas. We drank a lot of mimosas. I think it was mostly mimosas.

SPEAKER_00

Um there is non-alcoholic. I know, but it's like$30 a bottle. We used to get Brute Magnums for like$11.95. And it was so good.

SPEAKER_02

Mix it with little orange juice. It was Cooks. Okay.

SPEAKER_00

Cook's brand brute. My favorite.

SPEAKER_02

Two four. Number four.

SPEAKER_00

I only know that because I'm keeping track.

SPEAKER_02

Perfect. You hyperfocus on A important tasks. I feel like the people answering A are just there's no one listening to this. If you are answering A to any of these questions, listening to our podcast. Please chime in. Do you want to be our assistant? Oh God, that'd be great. Um, you hyperfocus on things you love. B. C, random niche topics. Uh D, anything except what you're supposed to do. I'm going with C. Well, no, C and B.

SPEAKER_00

Does that mean you get two points? Because we're gonna get a point anyway.

SPEAKER_02

Yeah, it doesn't matter. B, C, or D, you get a point. Um, I basically if you don't answer A to any of these. I don't know.

SPEAKER_00

I mean, I hyperfixate.

SPEAKER_02

Um, you love, but you also love random things. That's true. So we're the same.

SPEAKER_00

Where does that fall?

SPEAKER_02

I would say a half to each point. Like we I go half and half, and that's one.

unknown

Okay.

SPEAKER_00

I do like random things. That's where the autism comes in.

SPEAKER_02

Okay, so we both get another point. So we're at four for four.

SPEAKER_00

Okay. Aw, doesn't that bring back memories? A four for four. You're ADHD right now and not listening.

SPEAKER_02

No, I am. I'm like, how do you get that many points?

SPEAKER_00

What do you mean? Do you get a point for each one you say you do? Are we doing this wrong?

SPEAKER_02

No, I don't think.

SPEAKER_00

Did we look at the rules first? Because otherwise you're automatically gonna get the score. I don't get it.

SPEAKER_02

I know, because it's like okay.

SPEAKER_00

See, this is us procrastinating and not researching things ahead of time.

SPEAKER_02

It literally says answer depends, counts as yes. But it's like you say it doesn't say. It doesn't say what?

SPEAKER_00

It doesn't say like should we just move on to the next quiz? Because if this is just do you have it, yes or no, the answer is yes.

SPEAKER_02

It tells you how many yeses you get, like adds up to like how many.

SPEAKER_00

So when we're saying A and B, we're supposed to, and that gives us two points? I think so. Oh, we're not doing this right.

SPEAKER_02

But that's the only one that I would say two on, to be honest with you. So far?

SPEAKER_00

Yeah. Okay. So just two points each for that question. I'll just do number of points. How's that? Let's do that. So one point one, but we're still the same at the moment. I know, which is okay.

SPEAKER_02

We're on five. Yes. Okay. Object permanence, but make it life. I remember everything. I forget where my phone is while holding it. Oh my god, I my keys were in my pocket the other day and I swore that somebody took them.

SPEAKER_00

I drove back to my house today because I thought I left this and it was in my pocket.

SPEAKER_02

Oh my god. Okay, out of sight equals gone forever. Yeah. Okay, so A, I remember everything. B, I forgot where my phone is while holding it. C, out of sight, gone forever. D, my fridge has food. Question mark, question mark.

SPEAKER_00

So I'm gonna say B and C. So I get two points.

SPEAKER_02

Same, but I guess yeah. Yeah, I would say, yeah, same. That's exactly what we're doing.

SPEAKER_00

We do have to change the podcast title if we get the same score. We are the same. We grew up and became the same person. Except not.

SPEAKER_02

We are just not, just not on the outside. We are on the inside. Yeah. That's true. We are at our core. We're the same. So are we Tootsie Pops?

SPEAKER_00

I'm gonna, I will tell you, it takes a lot more than three licks to get to the center of this Tootsie Pop. I think it does for any Tootsie Pop.

SPEAKER_02

Has anyone ever, we should Google that.

SPEAKER_00

I don't want to get it. Okay, back to our people that are gonna be on our phone search history.

SPEAKER_02

Mine, because I'm the only one ever doing it. And I have an apple. So it's stored forever and gives me the weirdest targeted ads. Okay. Next question. Emotional regulation for you is stable. Where are these A people at? We're not friends with them. I don't know you. B, sensitive. C, why am I crying over a song from 2009, Lacey?

SPEAKER_00

Why is that so poignant? You were staring at me. Complete eye contact in the entirety of you reading that out loud.

SPEAKER_02

Because that's you. Anyways, all emotions, all emotions at full volume. I think That is you. Mega Aries. You mega Aries.

SPEAKER_00

What was B? I don't remember. Sensitive. No. Okay, so one point each again. We're the same but different. That's what it's called now. The same but different. Isn't that dimmler? I do not like that word, and I really don't like that you just said it out loud. I don't even know why, but I don't like it. Like it. No, we're not using it. I can't. I throw it on my word.

SPEAKER_02

Yeah, my mouth is getting really dry. Laughing too hard. Okay. Laughing. All emotions at full volume. Hmm, doesn't it? That's familiar with you. Okay. Um, oh, and you only got a point on that one if you had C or D. So if you said B on that one, you also But we still both got a point.

SPEAKER_00

Yeah, because we're like sensitive? No. But it's literally part of the problem is that we're not. That's what people think that we're mean. We're I don't think we're mean.

SPEAKER_02

I am so nice. I you were just like Heather, the way you say things. I'm like, but I'm honest. You're like, it's the way you say it.

SPEAKER_00

I'm also honest, and I don't make people cry. Who did I make cry? Who did I make cry? You've made a couple boys cry.

SPEAKER_01

Oh, yeah.

SPEAKER_00

You definitely made T-Mopal cry. Oh my god, yes. Yeah. I forgot about that. You definitely did. I'm pretty sure you've made Christmas Tree cry as well.

SPEAKER_02

Just saying. So funny. My laugh is like an internal cackle, and I just can't. My laugh is awful. Okay. I'm like a hyena. Next uh question. Starting tasks feels like or starting tasks feels, I just add like uh easy, normal, C, like pushing a car uphill. D, impossible until the vibes are right. D. D. Yeah. We C and D, we all get a point.

SPEAKER_00

I have so much ambition. I have so many things that I want to do. Am I gonna do them without somebody else initiating it? Most likely not.

SPEAKER_02

This is where we're not a self-starter. This next question.

SPEAKER_00

Okay.

SPEAKER_02

I see. I saw I was listening, but then it also.

SPEAKER_00

No, you're not.

SPEAKER_02

I went to the next question already.

SPEAKER_00

It's so that you didn't get lost in where you were in the questions. Yes.

SPEAKER_02

Uh your sleep schedule.

SPEAKER_00

Oh God. Yeah, we're gonna differ.

SPEAKER_02

B, mostly normal. C, revenge bedtime procrastination. D, what even is time? B, mostly normal, because I make myself because bodybuilder. C. I you're the only one that gets a point war.

SPEAKER_00

I force myself to stay up. It's so I will be bloody exhausted. And I'll force myself to not sleep for no reason. I'm not doing anything. I'm laying in bed, my dog's next to me, my dog's asleep. I'm just watching the repair shop. Greatest show on television. I don't know. You're the only one that knows what that is. It's so crazy. No one else. It's so fucking wholesome in the history.

SPEAKER_02

Anyone that listens to this podcast guaranteed does not know what that is. You are the only one and you are keeping that show alive.

SPEAKER_00

Prime plays it, it has it on live TV. Quote unquote live TV because it's not live, but it plays it 24 hours a day. Just I I love it.

SPEAKER_02

It's like you and four grannies watching that.

SPEAKER_00

It's such a good show. It has eight seasons. I did not sustain that on my own. Somebody had a hobby.

SPEAKER_02

Okay, your sleep schedule.

SPEAKER_00

Oh, yeah. See. Okay, so you get a point. I get a point and you don't.

SPEAKER_02

Okay, so this is our scoring. Add it up. That was the last question. Yes. So this is our ADHD energy. How many questions were there? Eight.

unknown

One, two, three, four, five, six. Okay. Okay.

SPEAKER_02

I got it. I got it. Okay. What is your score? Oh, if you scored zero to three ADHD moments, your neurotypical ish with spice. Uh four to six, ADHD light.

SPEAKER_00

Seven to ten. That's fucking hilarious. I almost wish I was in that category just because that is how I would describe it to people going forward. ADHD I'm ADHD light. I'm not.

SPEAKER_02

You're heavy. You're ADHD double shot heavy. I don't even know.

SPEAKER_00

You know what that is? I had to count this three times and it's only eight questions.

SPEAKER_02

Simple math. You could do it on your boomers. You could do it on your fingers.

SPEAKER_00

You got nine. I got ten. Oh my god, you could do it on your fingers. You kept talking and I kept looking away. And that so I do have that out of sight, out of mind thing because I looked away.

SPEAKER_02

We're both in the same category. Okay. Okay. Shocker. Okay, seven to ten. Certified ADHD energy. Um, if you would have gotten one more, you would have been in the golden retriever brain on espresso.

SPEAKER_00

Oh, I'm so glad I missed that. I see.

SPEAKER_02

I'm not that bad. No, no, we're not that bad. We're not that bad. We're just we are how we are. Okay. Next. Um, okay, this is the next one. So we're gonna have to keep track of score. Okay. Yeah, like one for like just like if we could do a like we'll add up all of our checks, like check, check, you know, we'll add them all up at the end. Like okay. So interprets but feels oh, interrupts. I'm like, interpret reading's hard. Reading is fundamental. Uh interrupts but feels bad immediately. Oh, yeah. We interrupt all the time.

SPEAKER_00

In fact, you guys have called us out on it so many times.

SPEAKER_02

We're so much better.

SPEAKER_00

They're like, you guys are great on the podcast, but we can't hear you because you're talking over each other, and then we're like, oops, our bad.

SPEAKER_02

Then we get excited. We do get excited and talk over each other all the time. It's weird when we wait.

SPEAKER_00

Look how good we just did there.

SPEAKER_02

I don't like it.

SPEAKER_00

I know it feels wrong. It does. Feels like we planned it.

SPEAKER_02

Okay, so we're not robots. Um yeah, so we both do that for sure. Yep. Yeah. Needs chaos or novelty to function. Mm-hmm.

SPEAKER_00

Do we just feel I feel really called out on that? You need chaos. I need novelty.

SPEAKER_02

I'm like, there's been no chaos. What's wrong? Okay, this is good. We like this. Um, I don't say I need it.

SPEAKER_00

I th I I feel wrong when things are going well. Because I literally live in chaos. My whole life is chaos. In fact, I had three positive things.

SPEAKER_02

I don't say you need you need it. Just because you function in it, do you need it to function? Just because you function well in chaos does not mean you need it to function.

SPEAKER_00

Um, no, but it feels wrong. But I can function.

SPEAKER_02

Listen when you're in chaos.

SPEAKER_00

No, it's just what I'm used to. I know, but like Are you overanalyzing that? Yeah.

SPEAKER_02

Yeah, because I feel like I have been put in chaotic situations my whole life.

SPEAKER_00

Do you understand that what you're doing right? I know. I know, but this isn't part of it.

SPEAKER_02

I'm not gonna remember.

SPEAKER_00

Okay, go. I'm I'm not gonna remember.

SPEAKER_02

I lost it.

SPEAKER_00

Okay, but this is why women don't get diagnosed ADHD, because we overanalyze the fucking questions. You want to know how come I didn't get diagnosed for migraines? Because the question said and instead of and or. And so I was like, Well, I have sensitivity to light, but not sound. So I marked no on the question when you were supposed to mark yes because you had sensitivity. I didn't get diagnosed until a year ago. And talking to the doctor, he's like, Are you kidding me? And I was like, Is that wrong? And he's like, That's wrong. So the way that you're analyzing, and I don't even it was not even on topic. Yes, it was because you're overanalyzing the question to mark it no when it should be marked yes. Okay. And that is why we don't get diagnosed. Okay.

SPEAKER_02

Fair was my point. That's what I'm saying. I don't know if I can say yes to this because although I can thrive in chaotic situations, I will sh I don't like it. I don't thrive. In chaotic situations, I can survive and do not thrive in chaotic situations. Yes, you do. Well, because I've just because you don't want to doesn't mean you don't. Because well, when you've been put in a situation like forever, you just learn to figure it out and do it. So it doesn't like I've had a lot of practice. Right.

SPEAKER_00

So the answer to the question is yes.

SPEAKER_02

No, because I don't need it. It actually hinders my functioning, though. It does not help. And this Do you think so? Oh, I 100% think so because I can't do anything else.

SPEAKER_00

See, I think I function better in chaos than when I don't. Okay. Because and the reason why is because I'm so comfortable in chaos that I don't question it. But when things are going well, like I almost don't do anything because I'm so worried I'm going to ruin it. So like I freeze. Like I hit my fight or flight response when things are going well because it feels wrong.

SPEAKER_02

Okay, so you get a point. Okay. I don't get a point.

SPEAKER_00

Okay. That was like therapy analysis to figure that one out. I know.

SPEAKER_02

So we're doing it.

SPEAKER_00

So I'm up by one.

SPEAKER_02

You are. Okay. Um, hyper focus equals forget to eat, drink, blink. No.

SPEAKER_00

Forget to eat, never.

SPEAKER_02

I know. Drink or blink. No. No. Okay. Loses things while actively using them. Yes. Okay, here's see. Great in emergency struggles with laundry. Me. Yeah. I mean, I'll get it done, but it's there's no, I need a schedule for it. It's always like, oh my God, there it is. And then it's like the doom pile of clothes.

SPEAKER_00

Three loads of clean laundry in my room for like a month. I finally got like two and a half of it put away, but there's still a pile and a half left. And it probably will take me another month to get that done. But anything bad happens and I know exactly what to do. I'm on it. Yes. Like sometimes Jen's even like it's it's unnerving how calm you are. Because we've had okay. I'm like, this is when I know how to act.

SPEAKER_02

I think it goes back to parent, like when you're having an alcoholic parent, because you never know what they're gonna do or throw at you. You're always on edge. They can turn at any moment. So I feel like that's why we also get really good at reading people because we scan to figure out like how fucked up that as kids we like instead of playing with toys, we're like trying to figure out like observe. Yes. Or there may not be safety. That got dark. It's true. That's why we're really good at emergencies. I know. Um brain replays embarrassing moments on loop. Yeah. Doesn't everybody say that?

SPEAKER_00

Is that a normal treat?

SPEAKER_02

I swear. Like sometimes I'm like really brain. You're gonna call up that really horrific memory from like five years ago. Dude, and we're just gonna replay it like I can change it. No. No. So we both get a point for that one. You know what's crazy?

SPEAKER_00

Are you keeping track anymore? I'm up by one. That's all I'm keeping track of. I'm gonna put who if I'm up by a certain amount or for equality. Why? You didn't say that.

SPEAKER_02

Yeah.

unknown

Fuck.

SPEAKER_02

So hold on, I can tell you right now. Okay. One.

unknown

Fuck.

SPEAKER_02

Two. We said four. You have four. I have three.

SPEAKER_00

Okay.

SPEAKER_02

So you have four.

SPEAKER_00

Let me lazy. Four. Three. Got it. Okay. I got it.

SPEAKER_02

And then yeah, the brain one, that one. That one is an added one now. So five and four. The brain one. Yeah, replays embarrassing moments.

SPEAKER_00

Dude, I can't remember shit.

SPEAKER_02

And I'm just throwing out clues like brain. I love how my freaking spastic brain works. It just takes like little parts. It's like there you go. Okay.

SPEAKER_00

I don't understand how I am a successful person.

SPEAKER_02

Because you thrive under pressure and collapse afterwards. Give us a point for each one.

SPEAKER_00

Yeah. Actually, I just that was how weird was that. Oh, because I'm like really successful in my job, actually.

SPEAKER_02

And then you collapse afterwards.

SPEAKER_00

I just sit there and scroll on my phone for like hours to be like, I shook.

SPEAKER_02

It has 14 unfinished projects. Does our pin does our painting count?

SPEAKER_00

Oh, that's one of them. I have so many. I still have half-knitted blankets in my closet, and I haven't not knitted, but like hand, you know, the big fluffy ones. I started making one and I haven't touched it in probably four years, and it's still just in my closet.

SPEAKER_02

So that's you has 14 unfinished projects.

SPEAKER_00

Oh, yeah.

SPEAKER_02

I I don't, I mean, I do.

unknown

I do.

SPEAKER_00

Am I giving you a point or I don't know because I don't want one? Is that what you really want?

SPEAKER_02

No, I said I don't know because I intentionally like don't start projects anymore because of that, but I also don't have time because I do bodybuilding. So it's like all my time is.

SPEAKER_00

See, I will like preemptively buy the supplies and then not do the projects forever. I have to make more bread too. You only bread. I know. See, you can't you can't pick up that hobby and then fucking stop. Because that affects other people. Give me a point for that one too. All right.

SPEAKER_02

I want bread. And then I'll do it later is a lifestyle.

unknown

Yeah. Yeah.

SPEAKER_02

But the problem is I don't do it later. Yeah. I am intentionally making myself do it right then and there now, but that definitely is something that I have struggled with, I guess. Not everything, but just things that can be put off till later, I do.

SPEAKER_00

I will literally pick something up in one spot and instead of just finishing what I'm doing to put it away, I'll set it down somewhere else and say, I'll put that away later instead of just putting it away while I'm already actively holding it and moving. It's a problem. Yeah. I'm aware of it. But because I in my brain, I think I'm being smart because I'm like, I'm going to align tasks to make me more efficient. So this has to go upstairs. I'm not going to take it upstairs until I have other things to take upstairs. But then I just get a pile and then the pile sits there. And then I do my AD. So that's how I get my ADHD piles because I'm like, okay, so this is the pile for upstairs, and this is Deegan's stuff, and this is Ashen's stuff. And then there's just little piles. And then things just move from pile to pile, and then nothing ever gets put away.

SPEAKER_02

That happens. It happens. Okay. What are our numbers? Oh, wait, hold on. I'll go, I'll read it for everybody. So if you got zero to three, what is NPC energy?

SPEAKER_00

Non-playable character. You non-nerd. Jesus Christ. I've never known a person in my life to not know what NPC was.

SPEAKER_02

Oh. But you don't play games at all. I was thinking the National Physique Committee were like.

SPEAKER_00

You know, like the MP. See, feel like that we are not the same energy. There it is. We found it again.

SPEAKER_02

Four to six, mildly chaotic. Seven to nine, ADHD core member. That's us. And 10 plus Chaos Gremlin Supreme.

SPEAKER_00

It's good to know that consistently we're not the worst.

SPEAKER_02

Right?

SPEAKER_00

We're just one level below that.

SPEAKER_02

Okay, let's see if we can keep it up for one more.

SPEAKER_00

Oh, we have another one.

SPEAKER_02

One more. Wow, you were so prepared. Um Okay, so it wants to.

SPEAKER_00

And I have to.

SPEAKER_02

No, no, because this one I have to answer in and it's gonna give me an answer. Wait, what? It's a What does that mean?

SPEAKER_00

You have to answer in? Oh, like you have to answer it.

SPEAKER_02

Yes, into chat GPT, and then it's gonna tell me.

SPEAKER_00

Oh are we gonna do that when we are still?

SPEAKER_02

I'll just say I'm gonna take it one more time.

unknown

Okay.

SPEAKER_02

Let me take that quick interactive quiz again. Okay.

SPEAKER_00

Oh, because you can then just scroll up.

SPEAKER_02

Yeah. Got it. Well, I mean, I can just have it do it again. Like it should just give it to me again. Yeah, I mean, I can scroll up. I can also just take it again. I'm assuming. Anyways, it does whatever I tell it to. Um you open your to text someone and A. Text them. B, scroll for two minutes. C scroll for 45 minutes. B forget who you were texting. D. C. Well, wait. I scroll and then forget. So yeah, that was D, wasn't it? D is forget who you were texting. C is scroll for 45 minutes. I will start scrolling B for two minutes and then D forget who I was texting.

SPEAKER_00

I will start playing a game.

SPEAKER_02

It depends on what's on my phone. If I should start closing out of apps, because if I like usually I'm just in whatever because I never close anything out. I'm like, oh yeah.

SPEAKER_00

You are the worst when it comes to unread messages, by the way.

SPEAKER_02

Oh yeah.

SPEAKER_00

I am not in that pile, but other people.

SPEAKER_02

Yeah, you're pinned to the top. There's like several people pinned so I don't get them lost. And then I always know where they are. They're my important. It's like my MySpace top.

SPEAKER_00

Your top eight, top three, top four.

SPEAKER_02

You can have one, two, three, four, five, six, seven, eight, nine. Can you have nine? Do I have nine? I have eight. I have my top eight. I do it's just like my space.

SPEAKER_00

Just like mySpace. I have a top eight. That's so funny. I have a favorites on my uh uh. Where are my favorites? I think. Um, okay, hold on, let me go back to Am I in your favorites? Yes. One, two, two, two, three. Okay, that was aggressive. Yes, it was. I'm glad you recognize that. Self-awareness is important. One, two, three, four, five, six, seven, eight. I also have a top eight! That's so funny. Do you want to know who's in my top eight? Yes. I have my children. So that's three right there. Because bonus child is also in there. You, my sister, hashtag works best friend, Kayla, my dad, and my stepmom.

unknown

Oh.

SPEAKER_00

So literally all family, and then you and Kayla. So all family.

SPEAKER_02

Oh, I love that. Okay. Um, two, motivation happens when A, there's a plan. B, there's interest. C, there's urgency. D, the universe aligns. I'm gonna say there's interest.

SPEAKER_00

Yeah, I gotta be interested in it or I'm not motivated to do it. Oh, I actually Yeah.

SPEAKER_02

Yeah, I'm gonna say B on that one too, actually. Um, because but there has to be no, because like just in general, not like a task.

unknown

Yeah.

SPEAKER_00

I think you're more D.

SPEAKER_02

The universe aligns. I like things that I'm interested in them. I'm gonna go with B. But I do like that answer. I just I'm like, I did think about it and I'm like, mm. Uh your to-do list is A short and realistic, B, long but organized, C long and ignored, D, a suggestion. C. Long and ignored. Yes. Same.

SPEAKER_00

I do have a list. I wrote a list a couple years ago, and then any like changes to the list are just in my brain.

SPEAKER_02

I know, I do have a to-do list. I do that. Um you focus best when it's quiet, there's music, there's background chaos, or you're mildly panicking.

SPEAKER_00

Can I background chaos? No, I can't do background chaos because I like background noise, but it has to be background noise that I've tried to do.

SPEAKER_02

So far we're the same except number one.

SPEAKER_00

Because if it's just like and it's so hard to get people to understand that. Like background noise is good except when background noise is bad. Like, you know what I mean?

SPEAKER_02

Yes. Okay. Um, and then I'll remember that means A, you will, B, maybe I already know your answer. C, absolutely not. D, why would you say that?

SPEAKER_00

Mine is definitely D, because every single time either you or Jen go, do you remember when? Before you even finish what you say, my answer is always no. I don't understand why you even try anymore.

SPEAKER_02

Okay, so my response is the only one. Oh, well, I guess we'll go with yours. Okay. So the response is if you were B to D means the classic scroll, who was, or that was mine, B2D, the classic scroll. Who was I texting? Um, B, interest-driven motivation. C, long list emotionally ignored. Music, focus fuel, maybe is a lifestyle. Okay, so my ADHD score is 4.5 out of five. Damn. That means I'm a golden retriever ADHD.

SPEAKER_00

See, you're still one below the worst. We are consistently only highly, moderately bad.

SPEAKER_02

That's it. Um, and then strengths, curious, warm, and genuinely interested in things, motivated by interest, not pressure, can focus deeply when something clicks, friendly brain energy, people feel good around you, classic traits, phone opens, scroll, memory wipe, needs music or stimulation to think. To-do lists exist for emotional support, attention follows excitement, not importance, hidden ADHD tell. You're not chaotic on purpose, your brain just follows dopamine.

SPEAKER_00

I mean, that's pretty accurate.

SPEAKER_02

And then it says how ADHD shows up specifically for you. Low impulsivity, impulsivity, high distractability, that's definitely interest-based focus rather than deadline-based. Mild forgetfulness, not reckless chaos, likely good at starting things you enjoy, less panic productivity, more vibe productivity.

SPEAKER_00

I will say though, one thing that I'm different on, like, I can't wait to do that. Deadlines are good for me. Yes. You know what I mean? Because like I need to know when something's due, but otherwise, I might not do it.

SPEAKER_02

Oh, this actually gives you little like hacks. So real life hacks that actually work, yes, not boring advice. So pair boring tacks with music or podcasts, short visual to-do list, three items max. Start tasks through curiosity, not discipline, external remind reminders for your memory. Stop expecting motivation to look normal. And then Okay. Then I'm gonna put it again. Can you keep talking? I'm gonna do this again for you.

SPEAKER_00

But mine weren't that different than yours.

SPEAKER_02

Yeah, but I want to see.

unknown

Okay.

SPEAKER_00

You're like, we've already had two quizzes to tell us that we're the same, but we're gonna Oh, no, it's gonna do another one.

SPEAKER_02

Oh okay. So let's ask you now. Okay, so you tell yourself I'll do this in five minutes, and then A, do it in five minutes, B, do it in 15, C, forget entirely, D, time stops existing. I'm gonna say you forget entirely. Because you're five minutes, you'll know, you'll never remember.

SPEAKER_00

I'll remember the next time something reminds me of it.

SPEAKER_02

So time stop so do no, you forget entirely until then. So yeah, so C. C. Okay. Um, your relationship with routines is you love them. They help sometimes. You try, then abandon them. That's you.

SPEAKER_00

I can just answer. I love that I don't even have to take the quiz. No, C. That is correct. What is D, just so we know, but routines fear me. That's such a dumb answer. There's a fucking cackle.

SPEAKER_02

Oh, when something really interests you, you enjoy it casually, focus well, lose track of time, become one with it.

SPEAKER_00

Are you gonna answer for me?

SPEAKER_02

Yes, I'm gonna say you lose track of time and you focus well, or you focus well, or you become one with it. I'm gonna say you become one with it. I just keep knocking my water over.

SPEAKER_00

I keep hearing it. I would go with the I lose track of time. Oh my god. Oh my see, this is why we need video. Every just tried to drink her water through the microphone instead of the straw to her.

SPEAKER_02

Oh my god. Oh my god, I'm just I can't even stop laughing right now.

SPEAKER_00

This is just like that looks so funny. I'm like, oh my god, especially because you had self-realization, but it was too late. Oh my god. That was amazing. I wish you would have seen it.

SPEAKER_02

Right.

SPEAKER_00

The funniest part is because you only would have had to open your mouth a little bit for this draw. And it was like your brain recognized that you needed to open your mouth all the way wide to get the item in your mouth. And it was like, that's when it clicks, not until your mouth was all the way open. And then your brain's like, wait, this doesn't make sense. I'm crying.

SPEAKER_02

I can't even breathe. Okay.

SPEAKER_00

So stupid how funny that was. Oh, sorry, guys. I am it's the little things.

SPEAKER_02

Okay. Um, so when something really interests you. I don't. What? Okay. You open up wide and put it in your mouth.

SPEAKER_00

Just put it in my mouth.

SPEAKER_02

I said, my motherfuck.

unknown

Uh uh.

SPEAKER_02

And we were singing this in middle school.

SPEAKER_00

I know. Or you could just eat me up.

SPEAKER_02

Okay, answer the question.

SPEAKER_00

I don't remember the question.

SPEAKER_02

Uh, when something interests you, you enjoy it casually, yeah, focus well, lose track of time, become one with it.

SPEAKER_00

I'm gonna go with lose track of time because like I will play a video game for eight hours and not realize it. That's what I originally said. Yep, you did. I know you so much. I'm like C's across the board here. I again, I'm just a little less than the worst there could be.

SPEAKER_02

Your emotional reactions are usually measured, expressive, intense, but fast. That'd be me. Intense and lingering. Yours linger. Linger.

SPEAKER_00

Linger.

SPEAKER_02

You know how we both dude.

SPEAKER_00

I hate that you don't just vibe with my fucking references. I am spitting fire and you just like la la la, she's stimming. I don't even know any of my. I know! It sucks! Linger! Pineapple Express!

SPEAKER_02

Oh, yeah, I don't remember that. You are most productive when everything is planned. You're calm, you're excited, there's gentle pressure.

SPEAKER_00

I'm most productive when there's not a none of the above. Like, when am I most productive? What were the options again?

SPEAKER_02

Everything is planned.

SPEAKER_00

No.

SPEAKER_02

Calm. You're excited.

SPEAKER_00

I I'll go with C. See, I'm C. More gentle pressure.

SPEAKER_02

That sounds really sexual. I like the gentle pressure, please. Gentle pressure. Understand. Um that is queen.

SPEAKER_00

I'm gonna start, I'm gonna tell you all the fucking references. I won't because I'll forget after you.

SPEAKER_02

You open a new tab because it's necessary. One extra tab won't hurt. I might need it later. Tabs are emotional support.

SPEAKER_00

Like, I just open, I only open a tab if I need it.

SPEAKER_02

Oh my gosh, you know how many I have open?

SPEAKER_00

I'm real yes.

SPEAKER_02

Do you want to know?

SPEAKER_00

No, this is this is definitely where we differ because this is part of my. I don't know if it I like to. No.

SPEAKER_02

That's not even bad.

SPEAKER_00

To me, that's equivalent. You know how I feel about having unread notifications. Having a shit ton of tabs that aren't useful or that you're not actively using also bothers me. I have probably four.

SPEAKER_02

Well, they should just close themselves then when you exit out of it. I feel like that would solve the whole problem. Apple, you're moved. Wow. I just hurt my ankle.

SPEAKER_00

So I have four open right now. One of them is a direct link to my children's grades. One of them is to a website where I can bulk by items to then retail sell.

SPEAKER_02

You're gonna say where you can bulk. I'm like, I thought you were not doing that.

SPEAKER_00

Where I can well, because like we're working for like Janessa at the massage place, I'm thinking about like merchandising. So it's a place where I can like get stuff for merchandising. You should really finish this test. One is a hobby that I want to start that I shouldn't because we just learned that I am and then one is a um a video tour of the cruise boat I'm going on. So they all have purpose. And there's only two.

SPEAKER_02

Emotional support, or you might need it later. You might need it later. So another C?

SPEAKER_00

No. Well, yeah. Fuck yes, because that's why I have the the bulk item thing. Because I'm not active. I might need it later, and I don't want to forget the website. Damn it. C is across the board.

SPEAKER_02

Decision making features. Feels like easy, fine, overwhelming. I need a snack and a nap. Is it C or D? Or C and D. Very pointed. We can say C and D.

SPEAKER_00

Yeah. Cause it really it depends on what the decision is about. If it's like work, it's fine. But like if it's like personal shit, it's emotionally draining. You just walk over again.

SPEAKER_02

I moved it. Okay, your brain during conversations fully present, mostly present, half listening, half thinking. This is me. Listening and planning and remembering something unrelated.

SPEAKER_00

See we also cultic constantly though. And isn't so is it C or D? Or is it C Andy? I think it's C Andy.

SPEAKER_02

Okay, we're gonna do C and D.

SPEAKER_00

Because how many times do you start a story and then I'm like that? I start telling you a different story because the story you told me reminds me of the story that I am now telling that you feel has no relevance to your story. Okay. But that's because I connected the dots in my brain.

SPEAKER_02

This round was very ADHD coded. Let's break it down. Um, I'll do it later. Means it never happened. Routines start strong, vanish quickly, time blindness activated, emotions hit hard and they linger. Excitement equals productivity. Tabs with for the future you overwhelmed means snack required. Listening, but also elsewhere. Okay. So you have a 10 out of 8 on the ADHD points. Combo answers count extra. That bad. No. Okay. Round one score for 4.5 out of 5. Oh, that's my round one. Round two score, very consistent, so we're the same.

unknown

Okay.

SPEAKER_02

Okay. Updates.

SPEAKER_00

I am totally okay with being just slightly under the worst. Your I'm hyper.

SPEAKER_02

Your ADHD archetype is hyper focused goblin with golden retriever energy. Time blind. We're both golden retrievers. Not a bug. Emotions are deep, rich, and sticky. That sounds weird. Motivation is driven by interest and excitement. Routines feel good in theory, painful in practice. Yeah. You're mental multitasking at all times. Subtle but important. You're not disorganized. Your brain just prioritizes meaning over order. That's fair.

SPEAKER_00

What are you doing?

SPEAKER_02

It thinks it's me that took it. So I'm saying it's you.

SPEAKER_00

You don't want your chat GPT to think that you're a Well no, because it was trying to combine both of them together, I think.

SPEAKER_02

Okay. So there we go. So Lacey's ADHD vibe for based on her answers, hyper-focus goblin.

SPEAKER_00

Oh, you're the golden retriever and I'm the hyper-focus goblin.

SPEAKER_02

God damn it. Strong time blindness. Routines mean good intention, short lifespan, deep lingering emotions.

SPEAKER_00

Short lifespan?

SPEAKER_02

Of your routines. Your routines have good intentions, but short lifespan.

SPEAKER_00

Okay. I thought you were saying I was gonna die young after that.

SPEAKER_02

No, your routines do die young. They die young. They crash and burn.

SPEAKER_00

That's so fair. That's so fair. I'm so bad at the best of intentions. I want routines so bad.

SPEAKER_02

It does not want you.

SPEAKER_00

It does not want me back. It is an unrequited love.

SPEAKER_02

Your productivity is driven by excitement, not pressure, mental multitasking during conversations, decision fatigue, and overwhelm. Snacks required. Lacey's brain runs on interest, emotion, and intensity, not structure. When she's engaged, she's locked in. When she's not, starting feels impossible. Okay. That's fair. Okay, a fun comparison for you and Lacey. Round one. Golden retriever. Distractable but warm, curious, interest-driven, mild forgetfulness, lower overwhelm, needs stimulation, but stays emotionally lighter. That's me. You, hyper focused goblin, time disappears, emotions linger, stronger internal intensity, more prone to overload and decision fatigue. Same spectrum, different settings.

SPEAKER_00

Damn. That's fucking accurate.

SPEAKER_02

Yeah.

SPEAKER_00

That's crazy. I don't like my title. Like you get something cute and fun. Dude, but honestly, you look. I'm offended by how accurately our titles represent us in like the way that we look. Like you look fun and happy and light and like adorable and like people want to cuddle you. And I am a fucking goblin. But you're you're hyper-focused, right?

SPEAKER_02

Yes, you're hyper-focused.

SPEAKER_00

Yes, yeah. I'm hyper-focusing on the word goblin right now. Okay, because yeah, so going forward, I'm gonna call you the golden retriever and I'm gonna be a goblin. It's not my fault it's the goblin in me.

SPEAKER_02

Oh, I'm dead. Okay, well, that was fun. That was fun.

SPEAKER_00

See, we are a lot of like we are. At least our ADHD.

SPEAKER_02

Uh, tell us what your ADHD said.

SPEAKER_00

Because we're assuming if you're listening that you have it.

SPEAKER_02

Or you're just laughing along with this. You're like, no, you bitches are the only ones like that.

SPEAKER_00

Dude, no, there's so many people like this. The funny thing though is, could you imagine not having an ADHD and like listening to this and just being like, can't relate?

SPEAKER_02

No, they would not be able to follow. They'd be like, what? Right. I thought there was a topic.

SPEAKER_00

Sometimes, sometimes we come in with a topic and we never get to it. Yes.

SPEAKER_02

Sometimes you get 25 stories with no end.

SPEAKER_00

And you've probably heard some stories over and over again because it's the only things I remember.

SPEAKER_02

Some are just really funny and need to be talked about again. Talked about again.

SPEAKER_00

And it's good to laugh. It's important. Yes, I cried. You did. You also tried to fucking fellatio your microphone.

SPEAKER_02

That was so awkward. Mid-like, I'm like, what am I doing?

SPEAKER_00

Your mouth was all the way wide. Like, all you had to do was physically move the microphone up and you would have given it head. It was so fucking funny. I'm sad that no one else saw that.

SPEAKER_02

I'm tired.

SPEAKER_00

Especially because you had the cup with the straw in one hand. You wanted the microphone in the eye. I win for the wrong one. And you went for the wrong one. But you committed to it.

SPEAKER_02

Tommy.

SPEAKER_00

I'm like, not gonna work. Oh, that's so funny.

SPEAKER_02

All right. Well, on that note.

SPEAKER_00

That note. Until next time.

SPEAKER_02

Bye. Bye.
