Season Four Chaos And Catch-Up
Use Left/Right to seek, Home/End to jump to start or end. Hold shift to jump forward or backward.
A guy makes an AI “couple photo” after one date, and suddenly we’re asking the only question that matters: is that cute, or is that a horror movie trailer? Season four starts exactly how we live, loud, chaotic, and accidentally honest. We catch up on fitness prep and routines, why this cut feels more balanced, and how tiny habits like walking the dog or getting outside can shift your whole mood when you’re busy, stressed, and trying to stay consistent.
From there we spiral into dating boundaries and the “prospect” phase, including the 90-day rule, what we learn after getting burned by love bombing, and why phone calls can feel like an energy vampire when you already have a full life. We even pull up ChatGPT mid-recording to unpack why ending a call can be weirdly hard, and the conversation turns into real talk about people-pleasing, social anxiety, ADHD, and autistic communication patterns like struggling with transitions.
We also go deeper on sobriety, grief, and friendship growth, how we used to be “too supportive of the spiral,” and what changed when healing became the priority. Add Florida travel, parenting and cheer Worlds, plus our absolutely unhinged hatred of certain cars, and you’ve got a messy, relatable reset for anyone rebuilding routines, relationships, and mental health. If you laughed, cringed, or felt seen, subscribe, share this with a friend, and leave a review so more people can find the show.

Cold Open And Sound Chaos
SPEAKER_03That was very aggressive.
SPEAKER_00That was aggressive.
SPEAKER_03Um But welcome.
SPEAKER_00Welcome. I don't know why that made me laugh so hard. It it Okay. I know exactly what I'm saying. No, because we just had a conversation about whether or not this was season four. And then once we figured out that it was season four, you just were like so ready for it.
SPEAKER_03I turned us down. I turned us down. Is that better? It's it was fine before. Okay. I like us loud.
SPEAKER_00I like us loud and you know what's funny is I would say probably half of our episodes consist of three to five minutes of you adjusting the sound.
SPEAKER_03You think that we you know why we don't do it beforehand? Because oh hold on.
SPEAKER_00Because we try to have a conversation and then realize that we're supposed to be recording it. So we're like call up and get on the mic.
SPEAKER_03I literally told her to shut up, we need to be recording this. And that's why it was also so like, hi, because hyped. I just pushed record.
SPEAKER_00Right away. Right away. I'm like, I'm recording. No sound test.
SPEAKER_03No.
SPEAKER_00Way to start doing sound.
SPEAKER_03I did make sure that it was turned on, and I was like, oh, it's working.
SPEAKER_00Yes, okay. So our our goal for season four is to actually record every episode on Ender Street.
SPEAKER_03And we're gonna do something. Should we fucking do it? We're gonna. I feel like we should just roll with I have an idea for some recording, and it's it's scary.
SPEAKER_00Your face is scary right now. Because I don't know what you're talking about.
SPEAKER_03I feel like we're gonna go Instagram live together, smashed up, onto our podcast page, and we're just gonna fucking record and see what happens. It's gonna be so fun. No one's gonna know about it, so it's fine.
SPEAKER_00Um, we have the best intentions.
SPEAKER_03Anyways, it'll happen or it won't. Stay tuned.
SPEAKER_00Exactly. Stay tuned. There's a 50-50.
SPEAKER_03Follow us on Instagram if you have not already. We are not the same pod. Is that what it is? Is that what it is?
SPEAKER_01I believe so. Why do we not know that? Because we're assholes. We're not good at the socials part. We're not good at the socials.
SPEAKER_03It's because a lot of oh yeah, we are not the same pod. See, I knew that.
SPEAKER_00You did great. Well, you knew that. You run Insta and I do the Facebook. If you could not tell. I know it. They're different vibes.
SPEAKER_01But they're the same.
SPEAKER_03They're the same, but they're dimming.
SPEAKER_00It's it's just really funny because I feel like people could probably guess that you ran the Instagram and I ran the Facebook without ever us having to.
SPEAKER_03But they also thought that you were the one with the beer bottle incidents.
SPEAKER_00Well, apparently I come off aggressive when people first meet me.
SPEAKER_03I'm so happy that I don't.
SPEAKER_00No, you have that golden retriever energy.
SPEAKER_03I I am.
SPEAKER_00Yeah, yes. Everyone heard it when you said, welcome to C. Oh, was that one? That was your golden retriever energy.
SPEAKER_03That's what makes me a good trainer because I bring that energy all the time.
SPEAKER_00Honestly, yes. I will like I've I hate working out. It's well established. We all know. But I've done multiple of classes with you, somewhere you were the trainer, somewhere you weren't the trainer. You are a very good trainer. Like it's it's almost robotic, but like you would be perfect for like videos. You know what I mean? Like too.
SPEAKER_03That's why, yeah, and I do I do videos.
SPEAKER_00You do?
SPEAKER_03Yes. Oh, yeah, warrior videos, all those.
SPEAKER_00When's the last time you did that?
SPEAKER_03It's now all in studio. She has now brought her online. Yeah, it's different. Um, I haven't done it for last year.
SPEAKER_00Last year I forgot about that. It's been so long.
SPEAKER_03Last year I did when I was prepping.
unknownYeah.
SPEAKER_03Last year was rough. Oh, that prep was. Oh yeah, prepping again.
SPEAKER_00Prep. Sound like a frog prep.
SPEAKER_03Prepping again.
Season Four Plans And Socials
SPEAKER_00Um but not so bad this time. No. Not so long this time.
SPEAKER_03Nope. I did just sign up. Well, not not officially.
SPEAKER_00I can't handle you hangry all the time. Well, we're not I'm not so bad this time. No, you're way fucking better this time. I think you get more carbs this time.
SPEAKER_03Yeah, the diet and the cardio have been a lot easier.
SPEAKER_00More balance. Yes. Yeah.
SPEAKER_03My body's responding well.
SPEAKER_00Yeah, you look great. Thank you. I'm down 10 pounds. Congratulations. Thanks. Yes. All I do is go on that cruise.
SPEAKER_01And then just because you didn't eat it.
SPEAKER_00Because I didn't like the food. And so I didn't eat a whole bunch on there. So then my stomach shrank, and then I don't eat as much now. It works out great. I mean, that makes sense, yeah. And I take my dog for walks because it's been nicer.
SPEAKER_03So finally.
SPEAKER_00It has to be over 50 degrees, or I will not take my animal for a walk. And that's not for my animal's sake. That is for my own sake. I cannot order if it's that cold. You're broken. It's too much. It hurts my body.
SPEAKER_03Broken.
SPEAKER_00I know.
SPEAKER_03Okay, so there is something new with you.
SPEAKER_00Oh, with me. We're starting with me.
SPEAKER_03Yes.
SPEAKER_00I feel weird talking about it.
SPEAKER_03Nope, because now we are both in relationships.
SPEAKER_00Well, let's not get ahead of ourselves.
SPEAKER_03He's a prospect.
SPEAKER_00He's a prospect.
SPEAKER_03For 90 days.
SPEAKER_00No, so the 90 days, this is very important. First off, I fucked up because I told him about the 90 days. I've never done that.
SPEAKER_03Has it already started?
SPEAKER_00No, it does not start until you become official. You're only dating, right? It's only the first 90 days of a relationship. So we are not like an official anything. We've gone on three dates.
SPEAKER_03But you're gonna continue. It's going the other direction.
SPEAKER_00Tomorrow as well. Yes.
SPEAKER_03So tell us about prospect. What'd you guys do?
SPEAKER_00Uh so tell us about the dates. Uh first date was supposed to be just like meeting for coffee, and we met up at Starbucks and never went inside. We just sat at the table in front and just talked. So something about this is this is somebody that I knew years ago, like 10 plus years ago, and then didn't speak to for that entire time. And now circle back round.
SPEAKER_03Wait, is this a recycling story?
SPEAKER_00No, I've never, we'd never dating a girl that I knew at the time.
SPEAKER_03So just like new uh acquaintance.
SPEAKER_00We worked together.
SPEAKER_03Oh, okay.
SPEAKER_00Yeah. Okay. And like we, me, her, and him were like a little friend group. We all worked together, type of situation. Yeah.
SPEAKER_03Have I met this person before? No.
SPEAKER_00No, because we're we weren't like that type of friends. We knew each other because we went to school together and we lived in like the same neighborhood for a while, and then we didn't hang out or talk or anything. And then we just happened to end up working at the same place. So we were like acquaintance type friends, you know what I mean? We only ever like hung out in a group setting, never like a one-on-one stitch. Um, but her and him dated for like four years. Um but she asked me to stop speaking to him, so I did because girl code, you know, like there wasn't any I didn't think that I was like flirty or he was flirty or anything, but like they had their own shit. So that's why we stopped talking, and then he ended up not working there anymore, and blah blah blah. But so we ended up just talking because, you know, memories. We were like reminiscing about like that time frame and all that stuff, and then we ended up getting pizza because we spent like three hours talking. So that was good. He drives a Honda. I don't know if you could hear that sigh, but like I heard the sigh. It's like almost a deal breaker for me.
SPEAKER_03I saw the sigh too. My what kind of a Honda?
SPEAKER_00A cord. It doesn't matter, they're all awful. Element is the worst. Janessa drives an element. I love Janessa so much, but I hate her damn car. I know it sounds weird, but I got my reasons. Listen, but it's upsetting.
SPEAKER_03It's upsetting. Okay. Well, maybe his car will break and he'll get a new one.
Fitness Prep And Daily Routines
SPEAKER_00Oh my god! So it did. Because of course it did, because it's a fucking Honda. It was so funny because I I have been giving him shit about the fact that he drives a Honda. Like the moment I saw it, I was like, mm-hmm, you're gonna have to fix that. And uh, which is funny because we talk about how like you would drop a dude over the type of shoes. I will drop a dude over on.
SPEAKER_03I feel like before.
SPEAKER_01I to this day will drop a dude over on.
SPEAKER_03I mean Okay, draw okay, in vague terms, yes. Yeah, in vague terms, yes. If we're doing vague, yes.
SPEAKER_00Yes, yes. Um, yeah, so one day he he sends me a photo of him on the side of the road with his hood up, and I was like, oh no, did the Honda break down?
unknownSad.
SPEAKER_00And he goes, Yep. And I was all like, I'm sorry, but it is funny. And then he sent me a photo flipping me off, and that made me laugh really hard.
SPEAKER_03So did he fix it or did they get a new car?
SPEAKER_00Um, no, he fixed it. But I just told him I was like, listen, we'll just have to always drive separately because I will not ride in your vehicle. He also does have a truck that is not a Honda. He made sure to send me a photo of it.
SPEAKER_03Like, don't ever drive a Honda ever again.
SPEAKER_00I mean, I get it. It's better gas mileage, but you could literally buy any other fucking car than a Honda. Like, there's so many other options. Why would you ever pick a fucking Honda? Ugh, I hate them.
SPEAKER_03You're gonna have to fill us all in on your distaste where I've never heard the fact you hate them this much.
SPEAKER_00I know well, when I was a never come up because you don't have one.
SPEAKER_03You're like, otherwise we would talk about it.
SPEAKER_00Oh my god, we would have had the conversation.
SPEAKER_03Trust.
SPEAKER_00You've never put me in that position.
SPEAKER_03I will never.
SPEAKER_00Thank you. I appreciate you. When I was in high school, we were in a a crew called Honda Haters Inc. And like I literally still had a Honda Haters Inc. sticker on my television set until about two or three years ago when Deegan bought me a new TV for Christmas. Like how long. But also, like every Jen used to have a Honda, and every single time I got in that fucking vehicle, something bad happened. Every time, like her tire fucking full-on exploded, didn't go flat, exploded off of the rim while we were in a snowstorm in Montana. And like I go to get out of the car and it looks flat. Nope, it was a fucking bank full of snow. So I get out of the car and I just plummet straight down, torpedo style, into the snow. And you know how I feel about snow.
SPEAKER_03It's your favorite thing in the world.
SPEAKER_00Okay, it's pretty on a postcard in television, and that's where the fuck you should say. That is it.
SPEAKER_03The older I get, the more I distest the cold, which means snow is not my friend.
SPEAKER_00No, I don't participate in snow activities. There is no joy in snow.
SPEAKER_03I definitely am like a summer for sure.
SPEAKER_00Yes. I went to hike and be by water or on water, not in water. That's a whole thing. But yes, I need the sun and the sky and the all of it. The sun is the most important part. Yes, and then so yeah, every time I got my sister's car, it overheated, the radio wouldn't work. Like, and we started to joke that the Honda also hated me back, right?
SPEAKER_03I mean right, exactly. You're putting the energy out there.
SPEAKER_00The Honda's like, We got beef. And then, like the icing on the cake is my mother, whom we all know I'm such a fan of, drove a Honda element. And it's like guilty. I hate it, it's very triggering for me. Janessa's car makes me mad. That's how I knew she was home today. I was like, oh yeah, that she's got uh she's gotta do her. I get it. She knows how I feel about it. She's like, I'll park it in the back. Fairware. Because I had to get in it. I had a ride in it when lemon. Remember when lemon and the car was broken down in the parking lot, and Janessa had to give us a ride home. Like, yeah, I had to ride in it. Traumatizing.
SPEAKER_03Yeah.
SPEAKER_00It's okay, guys. I'm in therapy still. It's all it's fine.
SPEAKER_03It's fine. Just don't let her see a Honda element at all.
SPEAKER_00Deegan points out every single one to me because he knows. Because I would do that too. I know you would. God, we're gonna go on this trip together now, and you're gonna be like, hey, guess what?
SPEAKER_03Like, look at there.
SPEAKER_00I'm looking there.
SPEAKER_03Is it a slug bug? A big sss.
SPEAKER_00I still play slug bug with my children.
SPEAKER_03Lelament, you can't do that.
SPEAKER_0016 and 18, and we still, if we're in the car together, we still play slug bug. I love that. I love it too. It's fun. I do not win, in case you're wondering.
SPEAKER_03I don't. No. Okay, so yeah, where did we start? Next date.
SPEAKER_00Next date.
SPEAKER_03Um you eated pizza. You were going.
SPEAKER_00We uh we went to the onion and we shared a Monte Cristo sandwich. And then we went to the comedy club and saw Chris Porter, who is fucking hilarious if you ever have this chance to do it. And you had cheesecake? And I had cheesecake. And he had cheesecake because you know what? He is also sober. Oh, we love that. He is two and a half years sober, so he gets it, and uh, and he's sober, so that's great.
SPEAKER_03That is good. Yeah, okay.
SPEAKER_00He has an adult job. He okay, so he was technically unemployed. And I was like, he was technically unemployed.
SPEAKER_03After the other information that was bestowed upon me, I was like, okay, keep proceeding with I don't know.
SPEAKER_00Yeah, he was unemployed because of something against his it wasn't his fault. The company.
SPEAKER_03So this would explain the time to make the photo.
SPEAKER_00To make the photo. Oh, the photo. I almost yes, correct. He has a lot of time on his hands. Photographer.
SPEAKER_03He's a new photographer.
SPEAKER_00It's a little a lot for me.
SPEAKER_03He's like a new AI photographer.
SPEAKER_00He sat on the phone for like two hours straight.
SPEAKER_03I could never.
SPEAKER_00I I don't enjoy it. Like, but being on the phone is so hard for me. But like I just can't, it was almost just like I just put it on speakerphone and live continue living my day. It's so weird. What the fuck? Like I was interacting with my kids like I normally would. And it was almost like he was there, but he wasn't there.
SPEAKER_03Okay, I'd be like, at this point, you come over or bye.
SPEAKER_00But I don't want him to come over yet. We got on three dates.
SPEAKER_03Then goodbye. Then he's already in your home virtually. So therefore he's there. It's fucking weird. You need to like bring him over or hang up the phone. Because yes, it's weird.
SPEAKER_00I don't know how to get off the phone.
SPEAKER_03Like it It is really awkward when we get off the phone, too. It's like we say goodbye. We don't know how to get off the phone.
SPEAKER_00Love you. Bye.
SPEAKER_03Talk to you later.
SPEAKER_00Every work meeting I'm on. I'm like, how why is this so difficult?
SPEAKER_03Should we ask ChatGPT why it's like this?
SPEAKER_00Why is it so difficult to get off of the phone with people?
SPEAKER_03That I'm literally gonna ask.
SPEAKER_00So Heather's new obsession is ChatGPT. We have discovered all the different ways that she can use it for her life. I love it. And it's it's probably the best thing for you, honestly. Like.
SPEAKER_03Why is it so difficult to get off the phone or to say goodbye?
SPEAKER_00Are you gonna make it read it or are you gonna read it?
SPEAKER_03Oh, I'm gonna make it read it.
SPEAKER_00She's like, I pay for premium, bitch. Is it making you type it?
SPEAKER_03I wanted a more condensed answer.
SPEAKER_00Make this short and sweet, please. I'm not gonna lie, I use uh I use copilot at work. Sometimes I'll write a nasty gram and then I'll put it in co-pilot. And I was like, please make this sound more professional. And then that's what I'll send instead, so I can still get my anger out, but still send something that's not gonna get me in trouble.
SPEAKER_03I feel like that's not the anxiety-ridden answer that I was thinking it would be.
SPEAKER_02You were hoping that they were like, this is totally justified. Hanging up means temporarily losing the comfort, excitement, and connection they give you. And you're trying to naturally lose it. That ain't it.
SPEAKER_03So I'm thinking more along the lines of like Lacey's autistic, and it's really hard for her to hang up. Also, I'm just very awkward. So that's why.
SPEAKER_00You're trying to teach Chat GPT about you're like, no, you're wrong. This is why. Learn it, love it, live it.
SPEAKER_03Oh, here we go. This is so funny. I have not read this all the way through yet.
SPEAKER_00You literally just manipulated it to say what you wanted it to say.
SPEAKER_02Lacey thinks it's because she's autistic and transitions are hard for her. I think I'm just awkward and don't know how to end. No, see, it's just repeating what you said.
SPEAKER_01You just talked about it.
SPEAKER_00You're so funny.
SPEAKER_03It's not doing what I want it to do.
SPEAKER_00That's not how I was confused.
SPEAKER_03You want to know why? Because I didn't start a new thread. I was doing it on the same thread of all of our topics.
SPEAKER_00Oh, so it thought you were trying to create an episode. I don't know why. We never stay on topic. We try so hard. I wonder why. We try the ADHD of it all. All of it, all the time. You know what I did the other day? I was drinking milk because of course I was drinking milk.
SPEAKER_03Um, I have videos of you drinking milk.
SPEAKER_00I know, I know. But I was drinking milk and I lost the lid, which then in turn meant I lost my shit. Because where in the flying fuck would I have put the lid to the milk carton? Checked everywhere. I was getting so angry. Deegan walks in and he's like, What's wrong? And I was like, I cannot find the lid to the fucking milk carton. And he's all like, Did you look absolutely everywhere? I was like, anywhere that's logical. And he's like, That's not what I said. And then he starts looking and he finds it. And guess where I put the lid?
SPEAKER_03Where?
SPEAKER_00The drunk drawer.
SPEAKER_03You're so weird, and I love it. Okay, I started a new chat thread where it was like a new topic.
SPEAKER_01Did it give you the answer you want now?
The Honda Hate Origin Story
SPEAKER_03There's actually common psychological reasons. No, that's not not now. There's no manipulation, it's not confused anymore. We are communicating appropriately. Um so there are psychological reasons why people struggle to end phone calls or conversations. It's long, so I'm paraphrasing. Um, fear of seeming of seeming rude or rejecting, that's huge for you. Yep. Yep. Um pleasing they associate it with ending a conversation with hurting someone's feelings, disappointing them, or making the other person feel unwanted. Um, social anxiety or awkwardness, that's mine, because I just like I feel like sometimes I'm like, just end it now. Do I end it now? Do I now? Just now? Okay. Bye, bye, done. Um, sometimes.
SPEAKER_00For as much as me and you can't finish a conversation, you can just stop with other people.
SPEAKER_03I do.
SPEAKER_00You do. You'll literally just be like, and I'm out.
SPEAKER_03It's weird. It's talent. It's really diabolical when it's in the middle of a conversation and you can see it on my face. I'm like, and I'm out.
SPEAKER_00You're just not listening anymore.
SPEAKER_03No. And there's nothing I can do to fix my face. I love it. Um, it literally says autistic communication patterns. Uh they struggle with conversational transitions and task switching.
SPEAKER_00Yeah. I'm not good at the like That's you.
SPEAKER_03Yeah. Uh people pleasing tendencies. That's why you have me. Because I'm real good at the transitions and endings.
SPEAKER_00I suck at transitioning. Compliment each other so well. Okay, I'm not sure. Or someone will say something, and I like literally don't know how to respond. Like, because I'm very like on to the next. I feel like I I know I should like make up some cheesy like whatever, but like it's not in me to do that. So I'm just like, do I just ignore it?
SPEAKER_03Yeah. That's where. Yeah. Yeah. Um, people pleasing, which we already talked about, attachment style dynamics, um, anxious attachment, sometimes unconsciously prolong conversations.
SPEAKER_00Sometimes that's the weird thing. The whole thing is I want to get off the phone.
SPEAKER_03Yeah, yours is definitely um fear of seeming rude and then the autistic and the executive functioning issues.
SPEAKER_00I guess I don't understand why talking on the phone is such a big thing for dudes. And I don't know if it is for everybody or just the one I attract.
SPEAKER_03No, can I tell you that my boyfriend, the boyfriend, we call him the boyfriend on the pub. The boyfriend. Uh no. Doesn't talk on the phone. No, and I wouldn't like it. Because I see him in person. Also, I want our time together to be what we talk about. Like, I also have a life outside of that. Like, if I'm not with him, then I'm busy doing other things. Yeah. I do call him if I need something.
SPEAKER_00Right. Yeah.
SPEAKER_03Like, uh, please call me if you need something. Text me if it's just a check-in. Like we text throughout the day. It's just not like, but I would rather tell you all about something in person. Yeah. Sometimes I forget. And I'm like, damn it, I should have texted that. But also It's a game. It's like a healthy. I guess when I'm gone though. So like when I'm gone, I would FaceTime once, try to FaceTime once a day, but always like text, but sometimes got busy. But it wasn't a long time. It's literally like 15, 20 minutes, like catching up on the day and then done. And that's fulfilling for both of us, I feel like.
SPEAKER_00And I think a lot of it is just there's just too much time on his hands.
SPEAKER_03Yes. Does he have children?
SPEAKER_00Uh a daughter, but grown, gone.
SPEAKER_03Okay, so that's another thing. Yeah.
SPEAKER_00Yeah.
SPEAKER_03Yeah.
SPEAKER_00He just has too much time on his hands.
unknownHuh.
SPEAKER_03There's kids yelling, and I don't know if one of them is mine, but it kind of sounds like it. But it's outside, so it's fine.
SPEAKER_00It wasn't like a scary yellow. No, it sounds like she's having fun. It's a fun name.
SPEAKER_03She has a little friend Malay up the road, so I just said the name. It's fine. No last names. I'm like, I don't know why I did that.
SPEAKER_01You just docked a child.
SPEAKER_03No, not really. No, I didn't. I didn't at all. There was no last names. Oh my god, that was like my brother's laugh sometimes. No, I didn't. Didn't I swear? Um speaking of, we speaking of doxing children. No, my amazing boyfriend. Oh yeah. Um we I finally met him! You did? I did. Yes. Yeah. And we need to do that again. We'll do like a double date. In like an actual setting, not like a not a non-food setting for a little while.
SPEAKER_00Yeah. August.
SPEAKER_03Yes. We he came to Florida and spent a few days with me when I was there. And it was so good. And we've got to hang out in Clearwater.
SPEAKER_00I feel like that's like a big step. Like traveling.
SPEAKER_03Yes. This was because we don't spend like days together. Yeah. Like stay the night at his house, obviously. We spend time together, but there's never like multiple days with like nothing else. Like so I was like, this will be like we'll either get on each other's nerves or it'll be like it'll be totally fine. And I'll tell you a lot. Yes. And I figure like I can I've never for me it's a really big thing. If I'm not sure.
SPEAKER_00Yes, I'm very aware. You've had a lot of travel horror stories.
SPEAKER_03Yes. I just don't. Well, not just that, just people. Like, I don't like people in my space. I get sick of people very easily. Not with you. I don't with you. I annoy you actually evolving. Not now that I'm sober, but when I was drunk Heather, drunk Heather. Okay, Drunk Heather and Sober Heather are two different people. Yeah. And Sober Heather just thinks that she had the best time when Drunk Heather came out. And then does it have to be? It was very long ago. There was some very long ago parts, and then there was just that little hiatus after Luke died. But there was long, like a long time ago was when our like the beer bottle days. That was like fucking 20 years ago. 10 years ago? 10 years over 10 years ago.
SPEAKER_00Yes. Not 20 though.
SPEAKER_03But over 10.
SPEAKER_00Yeah, because we met. Deegan is 18. And we met when Deegan was five. So we've known each other for the five years.
SPEAKER_03Okay, 13 years.
SPEAKER_00Yeah, that's fucking crazy.
SPEAKER_03That's approaching. I didn't mean 20.
SPEAKER_00Our relationship as a teenager.
SPEAKER_03Oh my gosh. We've been through so much. But yes, the hiatus after Luke, like we were, that was wild. I never realized everybody did cocaine.
SPEAKER_00I'm like I'm like, what is this? Listen, there are two times in my life where cocaine made a hell of an appearance. And one I was 18 and one was after Luke died.
SPEAKER_03I didn't realize that so many people, I'm like, what is this world of all these functioning people?
SPEAKER_00We went down the rabbit hole of Spokane. It was a weird time in our lives.
SPEAKER_03It was like not like not like the it was it was a rabbit hole of like pillows and soft things. It wasn't like it wasn't like a hard, like it we were very much so fair.
Why Phone Calls Feel Impossible
SPEAKER_00Like we were on the tippity tip, right? Like we just like we were like the people who like opened the door and are like, hey, what are you guys doing?
SPEAKER_01Yes. And they were like holy shit. Yes. Yes. And we're like, there's a lot of things going on.
SPEAKER_03I just got flashbacks of like eyes wide shut, you know, and they're like going through what is happening. Not that far. But basically, um, that was wild.
SPEAKER_00But also, look at us now. Yes. Like, we at some point we reached a path where you had we had to go left or right.
SPEAKER_03And somehow we did it. We did it. I sad that we had to go apart to come together, but it's just because we were too good at like making each other.
SPEAKER_00We were too supportive of the spiral. We were too supportive. And it was- We wouldn't tell each other no. Because it was like actually And now I have no fear of telling you no.
SPEAKER_03But it's different because we were both in a trying to heal. We were both in a very dark place. Yes. It's different now.
SPEAKER_00Yeah. We've done healing time and the sober thing. So it is different. It's better.
SPEAKER_03Yes. Agreed.
SPEAKER_00Because now it's like. You know what I mean?
SPEAKER_03Yeah, no. It's fun. It's good. I don't know. It's like weird. I it's so far removed from that. I know. Also, our paths were so different. So our situations were so different, too. And I never actually realized that you were like struggling.
SPEAKER_00Oh no. I thought you were.
SPEAKER_03I thought you were just trying to numb like you were just hanging out with me because and doing the, you know, just because Luke died and you were just being a good friend.
SPEAKER_00I mean, that was a big part of it.
SPEAKER_03Yes.
SPEAKER_00I didn't realize that you were drinking on your own. I know. I used it as a crutch to be like.
SPEAKER_03Because see, I didn't necessarily do that. I wasn't like drinking, I would just seek people to do things and go out. I didn't realize you were struggling alone. It's okay. I don't tell people things. I'm not people.
SPEAKER_00I know. I knew that was coming. As soon as I said that. I had to wait until I finished my drink. That was the wrong thing to say. But you know, you know it's like pulling teeth for some like the real shit.
SPEAKER_03Yeah.
SPEAKER_00How many people know the real shit? Like, there's shit that will never be said on this fucking podcast. You know that it doesn't need to be said. Exactly.
SPEAKER_03Um, on that note, Florida was amazing.
SPEAKER_00Just a different path.
SPEAKER_03Um, life is so great now. Uh Florida was amazing. I definitely belong there. I know. I imagine. The gym was great. The kids' um worlds was it was a rough go. Did not make it a day two. It was not the best performance, but on to season next season, which Braden is super senioring, so he will do one more year of All-Star because his birthday qualifies him. So him and Lily will be on the same worlds team, hopefully, if they both make the team. We'll see.
SPEAKER_00Oh, yeah, because they have to re-audition everything.
SPEAKER_03Yes, they're doing that right now. They're going through um tryouts right now.
SPEAKER_00And then your kids are so hardcore. Like, it's so funny. Like, your kids are like, they live a very similar lifestyle to you, where it's regimented and they have routines and they work out and they eat good, and like you know what I mean? Like, because that's the last one.
SPEAKER_03I mean, two out of the three.
SPEAKER_00Well, one's her dad.
SPEAKER_03One is like Luke reincarnated and like rogue, and like Diane was like, it's literally like having a Luke, and she's so much energy.
SPEAKER_00It's like Yeah, they are very different.
SPEAKER_03Very different.
SPEAKER_00But then now also now think of my children, and like my kids just like do what needs to get done, and then like that's it. Like Deegan is going to graduate, but he stopped trying in his statistics class a long time ago.
SPEAKER_03Well, that's because like I pushed them. I'm like, I don't know. I think it's the best thing for them. I think after Luke dying, like keeping them in cheer and nothing changing.
SPEAKER_00No, I think it was super important.
SPEAKER_03Because me finding bodybuilding, yes, and me finding my outlet in bodybuilding. Yes, I love teaching group classes, but that's also an energy-giving thing. When I can just lift, there's something about it's therapy to me, it's healing, and reading the book that you still have not read.
SPEAKER_00Dude, I can't do the school help books. I have I've tried reading three.
SPEAKER_03It's personal development and it will tell you a lot about your body. You know why you she's like, okay, hey, everybody. You know why she's not reading it? Because it's gonna call her the fuck out.
SPEAKER_00No, that's fine. You call me out to my face. I think that you or put it on the audio book.
SPEAKER_03Something about I I cannot finish self- Okay, how about I have Chat GPT give you all the highlights of the parts where it talks about your unmoved how movement and stuff like that.
SPEAKER_00Yeah, I'll read an article, not a book.
SPEAKER_03I will say about the parts that I think there's certain parts that because I've read it several times now, because it was healing to me because I never understood, because I'm smart enough and very fucking self-aware. Like, I can talk to myself all day. Why doesn't EMDR doesn't like work for me? Why doesn't X-Yo-s not work for me either? Moving my body works for me. And reading that book, it's normal. So it talks about it relates it to basically our brains down at the end are just animal. So uh a rabbit has like gets scared, you know how it like shakes its leg and stuff like that? It gets the cortisol out and the movement and the adrenaline out by doing that. If it did not do that, it would end up getting sick over time because the adrenaline, and it's a way to process all the chemicals that flood through its body. That makes sense. So, us think of all the triggers and all the flooding that's getting stuck all day, and you're just stuck, not able to move to do anything, and it's just in your body. Yeah, that's how I feel all the time. Right.
SPEAKER_00So literally how I feel every fucking day. Yes.
SPEAKER_03So having that movement and that outlet has really allowed me to move, I know. But you just need to find something. It could be just shaking your leg. Kidding, kidding.
SPEAKER_00Have you seen like I cannot stay in one position for an extended period of time? I don't think that's like I have to constantly like we were watching that movie.
SPEAKER_03I also think that like I had to apply to the code. I don't think you have to move. The in that article, it talks about a lot of like the autoimmune and a lot of the disorders and things like that are coming from stored trauma and stuff like that. And it talks about like how to release it and other ways besides exercise. I'm just saying my personal way that I have found, but it it talks about other ways too.
SPEAKER_00No, but I'm saying I I believe it because like but you just have to find a way to get all that out.
Love Bombing Lessons And Boundaries
SPEAKER_03So whether it's like well, it goes through a whole list of things that you can do to like process through, but you have to like you can't just ignore the chemical dumps and responses. Like, we're really good at masking things, but like your body can only take so much before it's gonna present in other ways.
SPEAKER_00I know. That's why I have to do the massages regularly because it helps to push all of that shit out.
SPEAKER_03It does, it does, and I see Janessa very regularly as well. Yeah, I just saw her on Thursday and it was so good.
SPEAKER_00It's a hard Wednesday. I can't believe you saw her before you saw me.
SPEAKER_03We haven't seen each other's for three weeks.
SPEAKER_00We haven't seen each other since like the 18th of April.
SPEAKER_03I know that's a very long time.
SPEAKER_00It's literally three days away from a month. I know, and then now you have a boyfriend. Okay. Prospect.
SPEAKER_03A prospect. A pre-boyfriend. Sorry, a prospect. I'm prospect. I like that prospect. Pre-boyfriend. He's in the application phase. Can I talk about the picture? Yeah. Okay. Yes. Um I am saying orange flag only because there was a photo made.
SPEAKER_00It was cute, but like I didn't know. But it was cute, but it's normal. I hope it's not normal. It's not healthy. I just feel like it was really fast.
SPEAKER_03Okay, you tell us. We're just gonna weigh it and then we'll pick back up on this later. Let us know. Hit that button, send us a message, or if you have our Instagram or Facebook, let us know. Do you think this is normal?
SPEAKER_00How long had you We had gone on two dates?
SPEAKER_03It wasn't only one date and he had sent it to you. I think it was one date. It was one date, and it was. It might have been. It might have been all that. One date, and he took a fit photo of him and he took a photo of her.
SPEAKER_00So, first off, I sent I sent him the photo of the.
SPEAKER_03You did not say put it through AI and make us a couple.
SPEAKER_00No, I didn't.
SPEAKER_01But it's such a cute photo, though.
SPEAKER_03It is a cute photo, but you did not say, here is my photo. That is a weird thing.
SPEAKER_00Okay, I didn't know if you wanted a photo of you.
SPEAKER_03I said proceed with caution. This is fucking weird. He's gonna want to wear your skin.
SPEAKER_00And I was like, I need someone to tell. I was like, is this cute or creepy?
SPEAKER_03Because I both I said it could be both. It could be both. Listen, listen, listen here.
SPEAKER_00Well, listen, Linda.
SPEAKER_03I've been through some shit by a love bomber and I was fucked over. I was nervous because women well, and also Johnny Bravo came on real fucking strong. Do you not remember after our first date? He's like, So what are we, boyfriend, girlfriend? I'm like, what the fuck? Like, you want it, what?
SPEAKER_00Yeah.
SPEAKER_03And then it was like leech on, latch on, and there's a reason.
SPEAKER_00That was because he was That was the winker.
SPEAKER_03We had we had come up with a different name.
SPEAKER_01No, I love it.
SPEAKER_00He is so bad.
SPEAKER_01I love it. It's fit, it's fitting.
SPEAKER_03It's fitting. It's fitting, especially for you.
SPEAKER_00He asked me to be his girlfriend on the second date while we were wasted. And after he had just like got pulled over while intoxicated and got out of it because he called the cop out for break checking him. It was the craziest thing I'd ever seen. And then afterwards, it was like a fucking MacGyver movie. And he's like, Do you want to be my girlfriend? I was like, Yes, because I was wasted, and that was cool. And and then like two weeks later, he was like staying in my house every day. And then he tried to get me to boot a kid.
SPEAKER_01Do you see a pattern here?
SPEAKER_00This is why the 90-day role exists.
SPEAKER_03I see a very solid pattern.
SPEAKER_00Listen, this is why the 90 day role.
SPEAKER_03Did he also like to talk on the phone a lot?
unknownI don't remember.
SPEAKER_03Because I remember that they all do. And I'm like, why? And you don't like that.
SPEAKER_00I don't.
SPEAKER_03So why don't you tell them?
SPEAKER_00Oh, because well, I normally make jokes about the fact that I don't like talking on the phone because I turn everything into just jokes. It's how I cope. Um, and then I'm a the people pleaser in me. It's like, but that's what they want. So you it like I just do it.
SPEAKER_03I think you should be like, hey, so the phone is really hard for me. Let's save our conversations for in person. Text me and I'll get back to it when I but just like it's a lot for me, and I'd rather save our conversations in person. They'll be so much better. Because what do you talk about when you see them? It's like I stared at you for the last 12 hours.
SPEAKER_00So And I don't do well with eye contact.
SPEAKER_03So I'm the worst.
SPEAKER_00I don't know why anybody would want to see.
SPEAKER_03I don't like FaceTime unless I'm like out. There's like a specific reason.
SPEAKER_00Yeah, I just it's not my jam. The only people I talk to on the phone are you, Jen, and then whatever gentleman I am currently speaking to who likes to talk on the phone. I just I don't get it. I don't know.
SPEAKER_03You should set that boundary.
Sobriety Grief And Friendship Growth
SPEAKER_00I'm just once he starts working, he won't have time. He lives far away from me. He lives like an hour away drive, which I think is good because it makes it harder to say sounds awful. Like I can't do that every day. It's too much of a big thing.
SPEAKER_03Like it drains my battery. Yes, and it's draining you being on the phone with him all the time. Just saying. It's the same thing. Yeah, it requires the same amount of energy, but I feel like for you it's more because you dislike it.
SPEAKER_00Yeah. Well, and I'm just always so busy.
SPEAKER_03Yeah, and you need some time to yourself. So on that note, I'm like, uh.
SPEAKER_00Will I do it though? Probably not. I'm just gonna wait for it to be. Oh, okay.
SPEAKER_03You never said what your third date was.
SPEAKER_00Oh, uh, we went to Twigs in the Valley and they served him undercooked chicken. Oh yeah, it wasn't bad. It was pretty bad. We sent it back and they refunded it. Like it was, but yeah, it was pretty bad. Like he got two pieces and one was cooked, and one was like almost raw. It was in the middle. It was pretty bad.
SPEAKER_03Gross.
SPEAKER_00Yeah, and then we went and watched the uh Project Hail Mary movie. Loved it. Absolutely. It's such a nerdy fucking. But yes, because it w it was not a pre-planned event for us to see the movie. We made that decision because we were already at the mall and it was playing. So but it was a bad decision for my brother.
SPEAKER_03The AMC.
SPEAKER_00I know the AMC is the only place that I ever go to. So I should have known better. Especially because I just had a flare last weekend. It was relatively mild, but it still sucked. So I was just coming out of a flare, and then that movie is two and a half hours long. So once you had previews, we were sitting in those seats for three hours straight.
SPEAKER_03And those seats are so uncomfortable.
SPEAKER_00They're uncomfortable for a regular person, but like I can't do it. So I was so fucking fucked.
SPEAKER_03I don't know how they have not remade that theater.
SPEAKER_00No, because they charge more than the AMC, they are not as nice and they charge more. I don't understand. I would rather drive the 45 minutes to the AMC than the 20 minutes to any other fucking Regal.
unknownYeah.
SPEAKER_03Regal get on your seat game.
SPEAKER_00Whatever. Yeah. But it was a good movie. And then like afterwards, we're walking out, and I felt so bad because I was constantly having to move. Like every five minutes, I have to change how I'm sitting because my body's broken. We're walking out, and my hip just pops so fucking loud. And I just look at him and I'm like, I'm not old.
SPEAKER_03But you are. Okay, my hips have been popping too, but that's for other reasons. Well, wait, that sounded really bad. Actually, it did. It did pop, actually, during I was like, oh wow. But um like that felt better. It popped. Um it did. My hips have been like Janessa.
SPEAKER_00I made Janessa like do some voodoo shit with my hip on Wednesday and she was able to get it to release finally, which is probably why it popped after being in the uncomfortable movie theater. But also, this gentleman is older than me.
SPEAKER_03How much older?
SPEAKER_00Like 12 years. Hey, welcome to the club. Welcome to the club. That's so funny.
SPEAKER_03I love it here.
SPEAKER_00I know they have real jobs here.
SPEAKER_03And they're like real men. Can I tell you how much I really enjoy it?
SPEAKER_00I got invited to go duck hunting or turkey hunting.
unknownOkay.
SPEAKER_03Not what we do. Not what we do.
SPEAKER_00Yeah, but you know me how I feel about like manly men.
SPEAKER_03Yes.
SPEAKER_00Yeah, like he's a good one. I have a manly man. He just doesn't hunt.
SPEAKER_03Okay, you like the woodsy. You like the lumberjack, yes.
SPEAKER_00I do.
SPEAKER_03I like a guy. I mean, like, I like that he's in the gym. We live together. He pushes me like extra hard. I love it. I don't know. See, we have other things. Right. You would not find us in the woods.
SPEAKER_00But see, that's the funny thing, right? Like, I don't want to sleep in the woods.
SPEAKER_03No.
SPEAKER_00I don't drop a squat in the woods. No, we oh, we're gonna put the battery. But I like to go to the woods and then go to a comfortable bed with a backpack.
SPEAKER_03Um when I go hiking, I get an Airbnb and I drive into the woods.
SPEAKER_00Yes, yes. See?
SPEAKER_03I get up super early, you drive to the trailhead, there's no reason to let you know.
SPEAKER_00I will do that as long as it won't kill me.
SPEAKER_03You will not make the hikes I go on, but I'll put a backpack on and carry you.
unknownNo.
SPEAKER_03I would.
SPEAKER_00Absolutely not. Um I like hiking. I just I can't do crazy I don't know. Crazy shit because my body eats.
SPEAKER_03I'll send you the thing. It said it was hard. Felina was like, this is I was like, oh, it's fine, it's moderate. She looked it up and she's like, This is hard. I'm like, oh yeah, yeah, it does. Sorry. It's like 2,000 miles or 2,000 miles, 2,000 feet up, 2,000 feet down, four miles up, four miles down.
SPEAKER_00Yeah, I know.
SPEAKER_03That's the one I wanted to do. There's other ones.
SPEAKER_00If you ever want to like go into Raster Mountain or Tubside, let me know.
SPEAKER_03I'll do those too. Those are fun little quick ones. Yeah, that's my that's more my speed. I'm like really into the North Cascades and like get into the woods. And then there's times where I'm like, if I die, no one would know. Because there's no service out there. So like if something ate me.
SPEAKER_00So I also have that thought, but mine is usually like when I'm driving my car.
Florida Cheer Worlds And Healing Movement
SPEAKER_03I mean, you never know. No one would know. No, I said you'll you never know. And you said no one will know. Those are two different things. You're letting your intrusive thoughts win again. Don't do it.
SPEAKER_00Sorry, it's been a while.
SPEAKER_03You're not driving us to Oregon now.
SPEAKER_00Listen, never with anyone else in the world. Listen. Never with anyone else. Oh my god. Okay. Oh, we are gonna attend the podcast road trip. We are we are going to try to podcast while being chauffeured. Um, that's gonna be fun.
SPEAKER_03Braden's a great driver.
SPEAKER_00Good. I'm not a great passenger, so it's a good one. He drives a speed limit, so it'll be like Oh, good. That's good.
SPEAKER_03I don't know because sometimes it irritates me. I'm like, you do know you can't go and I'm like, Heather, don't say that. No, don't say that. But everything in means our bad habits. I know.
SPEAKER_00My kids are they drive just as like me.
SPEAKER_03Oh, no, mine Actually I drive better than that. But when we're in a hurry, I'm like, I'm gonna drive. Or when it's like through traffic, like when we were driving through Portland, I drive through the Portland part. Just because like I'm not too much stress him out or myself. Yeah. I'm really good driving. Yes.
SPEAKER_00You want to hear something funny? Yes. Well, I thought always I think it's funny. Um, do you remember when I was waitressing and people kept asking me about my accent?
SPEAKER_03That yes, that you yeah.
SPEAKER_00So last night when we were at dinner, he brought up my fucking accent. And I was like, I don't have an accent. And he's like, mm-hmm, you do. It's lacy. And he's like, and it comes out more when you get like passionate about what you're saying. He's like, especially when you use that the fuck word. It's like, really? He's like, every time you say fuck, you get a little southern. It's like not even southern.
SPEAKER_03It's like lacy. Like you have your own.
SPEAKER_00I know, because everyone's like, I can't place it. They're like, I can tell you have one. It's just your own. But I don't know. It's just it's like a combo of every person I've ever been around because I'm so used to mimicking people.
SPEAKER_03It's your autism.
SPEAKER_00I know. All combined. Yes.
SPEAKER_03It's like your brain.
SPEAKER_00How do I make an imprint?
SPEAKER_03You have an AI voice. You like your brain has taken everybody's voice and it like comes back out. Every time you meet someone new, it like filters it. Yeah. And it's slightly different.
SPEAKER_00It adjusts slightly on certain words. Because I'll be like, oh, they pronounced it this way. So now I pronounce it that way. And I don't mean to, and I don't notice. It's okay though. But apparently everybody else does.
SPEAKER_03It's the autism. It's the tism, but I love it.
SPEAKER_00Rhism with autism.
SPEAKER_03Now I just say that all the time because we can. We can blame it on that.
SPEAKER_00Um we used to blame it on the alcohol. Blame it on the case.
SPEAKER_03Now it's autism. Can you can you now say blame it on the autism?
SPEAKER_01Blame it on the t-tis.
SPEAKER_03There we go. I love that. Okay. Um and that I want to like record that. I'm gonna make that a soundbite. No. I'm gonna make that a soundbite.
SPEAKER_00Damn it.
SPEAKER_03That's so funny. I am. Um, but with that, we are gonna wrap up. Is there anything else you want to let them know that you've been up to?
SPEAKER_00I don't remember.
SPEAKER_03I mean, we were talking about Florida. Okay, so kids, Riot, Riot did not advance the day two. They're in cheat, you know, whatever. Stuff happens.
SPEAKER_00Florida was we keep having our cars break down.
SPEAKER_03You do oh, yeah. Lacey.
SPEAKER_00Ash's car broke down, my car broke down. I still have to come up with another thousand dollars to fix something else. But they said I could drive it in the meantime, as long as I just keep adding coolant manually. Okay. It's fine. It's safe.
SPEAKER_03It's fine. It's fine. All right. Well, on that note, we are um till next week. Thanks for catching up with us. This is a great um shit show chaos of a episode. We just we're talking about it.
SPEAKER_01Welcome to Season, welcome to season four.
SPEAKER_03Welcome. Welcome to the chaotic adventures. Okay, we promise the next episode will have a little flow to it.
SPEAKER_00See you. We can't even end this. It's like getting off the phone. It's the same. We're like, how do you end it? How do you get off? Okay, bye. Stop it. Okay, just end it.
SPEAKER_03See, bye guys. End of season not end the season four. End of episode one of season four.
SPEAKER_04Shut it off!
How Do We End This
SPEAKER_03Now I can't. Now you've made it too too difficult. You pointed it out, and now it won't end. Okay, it's ending.
