This may surprise you, but being a “nice guy” isn’t the same as being a good husband.

The kind of "nice" we're talking about often avoids conflict, suppresses true feelings, and tries to keep the peace at all costs. On the surface, that can look loving but underneath, it creates resentment, disconnection, and a relationship emptied of attraction, strength and honesty.

For wives, this dynamic is painful and confusing. "Why does everything fall on my shoulders? Why can’t I fully trust him to lead, to be honest, to show up strong?”

For men, it can be exhausting. "I'm trying so hard to do everything 'right,' so why does it seem like it’s never enough?”

The goal isn’t for men to be unkind, but to become grounded, honest, and strong in who God created them to be.
