Welcome to a special Healthy Home Highlights. This week, I had the amazing opportunity to attend the Builders Show in Las Vegas, where companies from all over the world come to showcase their latest and greatest products. While wellness focused innovations are still emerging in the home building industry, I was excited to see more of them this year than ever before. Today, I'm going to give you a sneak peek into some of my favorite finds from the show. Now, I'll be doing more in depth research on each of these before giving my full endorsement, but these were definitely the standouts. Okay, the first one is one of the most exciting air purifiers I saw the ThinkLight Air Icon M. If you've been looking for a whole home purifier that actually covers a large space, this one is worth checking out. It's about 18 inches by 18 inches and stands 5 feet tall, so it is a statement piece in a room. But what's most impressive is that it can purify the air in a 5, 000 square foot home every 4 minutes. That's some serious filtration power. Now, it removes particles down to 0. 1 microns and it has a MERV 19 medical grade filter. Now what this means is it's the highest rating that you're going to get in a residential air purifier and it's going to clean your air similar to hospital or operating room grade air. One of the things I love about it is that it doesn't release any Ions. Hydroxyls, chemicals, or ozone, so you're not trading one problem for another. The filter also lasts two years before needing to be changed, which is a huge plus. While it's technically portable, at five feet tall, I wouldn't plan on moving it around too much, but if you set it up in your main living space, it's designed to circulate the clean air throughout your entire home, and it has a sleek modern design, which I always appreciate. There's a lot of other great air purifiers, and when we speak specifically in future episodes about air purification, I'll link you to some one room air purifiers that you can put throughout your house. But I think this was a really interesting air purifier to consider since it will do your whole home without having to change out your entire HVAC system. I'll go ahead and link to their website and you can follow up with more information if you want to dive in. Now the next product that I saw was the Nuvo H2O water softener If you've ever dealt with hard water, you know what a pain it can be. Stains on dishes, really dry skin, mineral buildup in your pipes and on your plumbing fixtures. The Nuvo H2O system caught my attention because it's a salt free water softener. That means no more heavy bags of salt. Instead, it uses a natural citric acid, carbon, and specialized filters to remove heavy metals and chlorine from your water while also softening it. A lot of people don't love the feel of the traditional soft water because it can leave a slippery residue on your skin, but the way Nuvo H2O works is different. It binds with minerals. So they don't stick to your plumbing or your appliances, but it doesn't leave that slimy feeling on your skin. They also offer a filter specifically designed for well water, which is great if you're not on a city system. Installation is really simple and replacing the filters is really easy. Each filter is about the size of a fire extinguisher. And there's three of those that stack very neatly along your wall. It doesn't take as much room as your traditional salt softener. You do have to change these filters about every six months and the set of three will run you about$200, but it's still much easier than hauling bags of salt every few weeks. Now the next thing that really caught my attention at the Builder Show is the Delta Clarify Reverse Osmosis System. I've talked a lot about water quality and the importance of filtration, and this is a next level option. The Delta Clarify is a tankless six stage reverse osmosis system. It sits right under your sink and it's about the size of a small desktop computer. What I love about it is that it removes every contaminant you don't want in your drinking water, lead, chlorine, mercury, fluoride, arsenic, pharmaceuticals, viruses, PFAS, pesticides, you name it, it pulls it out. Now, traditional reverse osmosis systems use a large storage tank, and one of the downsides is that those tanks can sometimes grow bacteria over time, which totally defeats the purpose of having the clean water. Because this system is tankless, that's not an issue. The filters are also super easy to replace, and they last two years before they need to be changed. Now, one thing to note with any RO system is that while it removes contaminants, it also removes the beneficial minerals from the water. And our bodies need these minerals. However, Clarify has an optional remineralization add on that restores all the natural enzymes and electrolytes back to the water after the contamination is pulled out, which I think can be a game changer. If you're looking for ultra clean drinking water that doesn't strip out all the good stuff, this could be a really great solution. Now, the last one that I want to touch on is the Kohler by Remedy Place cold plunge. If you've listened to my previous episode on saunas, another big benefit for inflammation is a cold plunge. I am a huge fan of cold therapy for its benefits on inflammation, circulation, and recovery. Kohler has partnered with Remedy Place to release a high end cold plunge that can be used indoors or outdoors. This tub is slightly larger than a standard bathtub, and you can set the temperature anywhere from 39 degrees Fahrenheit to 110 degrees Fahrenheit. So you can use it for contrast therapy as well. I also love that it has a built in UV water filtration system, which keeps the water clean in between uses. The design is stunning. It has a dark bronze finish that feels really elevated. And if you've been thinking about adding a cold plunge to your wellness routine, this one is definitely worth checking out. I hope you enjoyed this sneak peek into some of the most exciting products that I found at the Builder's Show. I'm going to link to all of these so that you have the opportunity to take a look at them a little more closely. And let me know which ones you'd like for me to do a deeper dive on. And stay tuned for more Healthy Home Highlights.
