Shane Kilby (00:00)

just a few minutes to do your intro and all that. But the cool thing about it is, as we're shooting this episode or any video with multi-person, it's recording from their devices. everything that we do today is immediately recording local on your device. When we get to the end and we put a bow on it, you're right. It's like, you know, how can we get in touch with you forward? How can anyone else reach out to you?

Duane Murphy (00:00)

Thank

Ford Duncan (00:01)

Yeah.

Shane Kilby (00:26)

All right, thanks for watching. Thanks for listening. Thanks for downloading. See you guys next time. So we'll hit the end button, the stop button, and then we'll all see over to the side a couple seconds of the show where we are all at on uploading. And like five, 10 seconds later, we'll all be at 100 % upload. So to get it off, it'll get it back off your device. But the cool thing about that is the software we'll take in will mirror and match our tones and our volumes.

Ford Duncan (00:52)

Yep.

Yep.

Shane Kilby (00:53)

and remove all the pixelations. And so we have, we have just like it is right now, like it'll be crystal clear, the video, the audio, and it'll be ready for MP4. It'd be ready for the MP3, the videos and the audio files, everything. So when we get done with this, this one, this one will actually probably go out pretty soon because we've, we've actually run low on our library, which is fine. We were stacked for a while. We're stacking them back up again. So this one probably actually, it may go out this week or next week.

And when we do, ⁓ we'll give you that you can have the entire unedited or you can have the entire edited. ⁓ And we also create about 20 different clips, anywhere from 10 seconds to a minute and a half. And we'll push those out and I'll tag you with those on Instagram and I'll invite you as a collaborator. Because through this journey, we've learned a few hacks on how to leverage social media.

Ford Duncan (01:35)

Yeah.

Shane Kilby (01:52)

So when we invite you and so it'll live on your page and it'll live on our page. And so we'll both get the benefit of crossing each other's friends list context. So we've actually learned that from the podcast. So we kind of got this idea. What was interesting was when the conversation popped up, what was it, Sunita, someone said about you need to do a podcast. So the Wayne and I had been half assing this.

like Matthew McConaughey would say, don't half-ass it. We've been half-assing this idea for, I don't know, two years. And then the year we started, we started like really having conversations. And then about, I don't know, probably was a year ago, we started actually recording episodes. We didn't have a clue, we just said, I don't know, just push the button, let's just do it. And so we started recording ⁓ episodes and so we started cataloging them so we had enough.

Ford Duncan (02:27)

Yeah.

Duane Murphy (02:28)

At least two years.

Shane Kilby (02:50)

to clean up our mistakes and still keep it running consistently. And so then we put it out, we launched it January 1st, I believe it was. ⁓ We dropped, read the books, studied all the nerds in podcast land and they were all like, all right, make sure you have three to six ready to drop so the folks that know, and trust you can binge on it, right? And get the habit formed of these podcasts coming out. So we did this.

Duane Murphy (02:57)

Mm-hmm.

Shane Kilby (03:18)

And so we started dropping them out every week after we originally going to do them, what, two times a month? And all the nerds said, that's not enough. You won't hold anybody's attention. And so we said, okay, so we bumped it up to four times a month, one a week. And then we got another little nerd. He's like, you need to do one, you know, two a week. So now we're working on some tactical Tuesday stuff, just some little 15, 20 minute, you know, podcasts, short videos in there, just agent help. the, the, the,

Duane Murphy (03:23)

Mm-hmm. Mm-hmm.

Bye.

Shane Kilby (03:47)

Backstory on the podcast Ford is really just sharing our Story, right? Did I give did I send you the questions or did I not send you the questions? That's awesome. That's awesome. I'm gonna send

Ford Duncan (03:55)

Yeah.

No, I didn't get him.

Duane Murphy (04:02)

That was

not my job.

Shane Kilby (04:05)

Yeah, well, I've learned a long time ago. I learned a long time ago not to give ⁓ him very many jobs, because.

Ford Duncan (04:06)

You are a liar, you're not a liar!

Duane Murphy (04:14)

It's better if you don't know

the questions. They're so easy, ⁓ anybody could punt them. So, we'll help you through it. Bye.

Shane Kilby (04:21)

Yeah, yeah.

So what's Gary Vee says? If you want to be happy in life, have zero expectations of everybody. But the questions are simple. mean, like, because we're going to, we're going to get a little bit of your backstory, right? We've met you in person. We met you through the jet black circle and had the opportunity to hang out with you for a few days. So we're going to ask you for your backstory, you know, and then you just share with us a little bit of your backstory. We're to go into.

Duane Murphy (04:27)

Cool.

Ford Duncan (04:28)

Mm-hmm.

Duane Murphy (04:31)

Yeah.

Shane Kilby (04:50)

What made you want to get in the business? Right? know you from having conversation with you previously, you and your mom have this brokerage. Is that correct? Right? So most, some kids are like, I'm not doing anything my parents do because they always seem to be stressed out. So I'm not going that route. Right? So we'll go into that a little bit. ⁓ we'll talk about your biggest success. What's been your biggest success. And we all like get high. We all hype and hyped up on our wins. Right? But what most people never ask for, or they're afraid to ask.

Ford Duncan (04:57)

Yep, that's

Yeah.

Shane Kilby (05:20)

people is, what about those losses? You know, what if you're really close? Yeah. Yeah.

Duane Murphy (05:25)

daily ⁓ wait you weren't asking me okay

Shane Kilby (05:29)

⁓ you? Yeah, well, our list goes long and long. You know, we've had, we have many scars, many scars.

Duane Murphy (05:30)

Thanks. Daily.

Ford Duncan (05:33)

Mm-hmm. Hey, that's the school of hard knocks, and that's how I learned best,

Duane Murphy (05:39)

Yeah.

Shane Kilby (05:40)

Absolutely, absolutely.

Duane Murphy (05:40)

Well, I tell you what, we, like I said, like Shane was saying, we went from below average to mediocre. So, ⁓ that's kind of where we're at right now is, is, ⁓ the mediocre level. so yeah, ⁓ I'll do the, ⁓ I'll do the intro to the podcast chain. got a little, little spiel for Mr. Ford.

Shane Kilby (05:45)

Thank

Yeah, let me run down it real quick.

Ford Duncan (06:03)

Hey, y'all

give me one second. I have something real quick. Hold on, I just saw this. No. ⁓

Duane Murphy (06:07)

Is this a nervous P?

Shane Kilby (06:11)

He's already

been to the gym, he's hyped up on pre-workout still.

Duane Murphy (06:14)

That's

awesome.

Shane Kilby (06:17)

I'm gonna, you know what, I'm just gonna screenshot this and text it to you instead of doing anything fancy.

Duane Murphy (06:23)

What? Is

he desperate? What does that have to do with the Shane show?

Ford Duncan (06:29)

I just remembered I have this and since y'all

Shane Kilby (06:34)

Look at that. We have the same

one. We have the same microphone. ⁓ I'm pretty proud.

Ford Duncan (06:38)

Since you made me

feel a little nervous about my audio, we're gonna see if this works better.

Shane Kilby (06:43)

Okay. Yeah, I had that same one. I put this big fancy wind bopper on the top.

You have a degree from Arizona? Okay, okay. want to make sure I had it. As you know, sometimes you start doing digging and research and you get a little help from chat GPT and it comes back a lot of stuff and say, Hey, come in. It's like, no, that's not me. That's a different dude. I'm like, okay, that's awkward.

Ford Duncan (07:03)

Yeah. Yeah. I'll, I'll,

Duane Murphy (07:12)

NASA.

So you can just, yeah, follow me.

Ford Duncan (07:15)

Yeah. ⁓

Duane Murphy (07:17)

Thanks.

Ford Duncan (07:19)

Alright, so it won't let me change my microphone here.

Shane Kilby (07:23)

So when

we stop, so let me go ahead and stop this one.
