You're Gonna Be Fine.

Jackie Adedeji on body confidence and speaking your truth. | YGBF #38

Camilla Ainsworth and Katie McNicol

On this week’s episode we speak to the iconic, Jackie Adedeji.

Jackie is a broadcaster, writer, journalist, documentary maker and a fierce advocate for body confidence, women’s mental health, and speaking up about injustice.

Jackie has presented and appeared on shows across ITV, MTV, BBC Three and Channel 4.

Jackie has opened up in her Untold documentaries My Big Boobs and I Don’t Trust My Therapist, and most recently she’s made headlines with her courageous stand against misconduct in policing.

In 2023 she raised an allegation of sexual misconduct against a police officer who allegedly misled her about his identity, only for that process to become re-traumatising thanks to insensitivity and mishandling by those investigating.

Over the course of this episode, we talked about Jackie’s personal journey with body image, self confidence, self acceptance, authenticity, age gap relationships and her important work calling out systems that fail people, challenging the justice system and female safety.

So we hope you enjoy as much as we did.
