KOA Unplugged
Trauma informed mindfulness and supportive spaces; an open discussion with Sharon Nielson
Join Cori as she interviews Sharon Nielsen. Sharon is a powerful woman with a passion for making her work inclusive and trauma informed. In this podcast, Cori and Sharon explore how we can make mindfulness more trauma informed and hold supportive spaces.
Sharon is a mindfulness teacher, clinical hypnotherapist, business coach and a Regional Teacher Trainer for the UK College of Mindfulness Meditation. Sharon discovered mindfulness meditation whilst working in a very demanding and stressful corporate environment. At the time, after experiencing some challenges in her life, she chose to explore how mindfulness could support her with symptoms of stress and anxiety. She describes mindfulness as changing her life and it is now her go to resource in moments of dysregulation. With a corporate background and over 20 years experience in the field of wellbeing, Sharon approaches her work creatively and authentically. Her approach is open and warm.
