An informal yet insightful approach of discussing mental health diagnoses, treatment methods, and diverse perspectives from both therapists and other mental health professionals. "Inside the Therapy Room" conveys a sense of being privy to the professional world of therapy, while "Unpacking" hints at the deeper exploration/education of treatment approaches and diagnoses. We aim to give you a look on how therapy should be with explanations of how we got there.

Dana Adams is a Licensed Professional Counselor Associate (LPCA) in South Carolina who began her mental health journey in 2012, not as a therapist, but as a client. Sitting on the couch first as a client shaped the way she now holds space for others, bringing empathy, and authenticity into her work. What started as a desire to become a better mentor quickly grew into a deeper purpose and meaningful career in counseling. Today, Dana operates her own private practice, Wellness and Growth. She combines professional training with lived experience to create a space where clients are invited into presence, curiosity, and growth.
Devin is a Licensed Professional Counselor who holds licensure and maintains a private practice in the state of South Carolina while residing in Florida. Devin is fascinated with the mind-body connection and how the brain and it’s various neural processes mediate the progression and presentation of physical illness. Her practice is largely focused on working with those diagnosed with chronic illness and psychophysiologic (or “mind/body” disorders) such as chronic pain, medically unexplained symptoms, and functional neurological disorder. Devin completed Core Training in Intensive Short Term Dynamic Psychotherapy (ISTDP) at the New Washington School of Psychiatry. She primarily uses ISTDP when working with clients but brings in extra somatic, behavioral, and cognitive components when necessary.
