The Art of Momentum.

In this week’s episode of The Undressed Podcast, we dive into Chapter 7—the pivotal moment when our little brand transitioned into the mainstream. Dreams were coming true, but the challenge was maintaining momentum and proving to the world that our success wasn’t just luck—it was real.

Key Lessons from Chapter 7:

🔹 Listen to Your Customers—Before It’s Too Late

Steve Jobs once said, People don’t know what they want until you show it to them. While innovation is essential, so is listening. When multiple customers told us our salad dressing was solidifying in the fridge, we brushed it off—until a major buyer warned us that we’d be out if we didn’t fix it. Some feedback is worth acting on before it’s too late.

🔹 Believe in the Impossible

Who would have thought salad dressing could become a lifestyle brand? Without manufacturing experience, money, or resources, belief was all we had. But when belief is contagious, miracles happen.

🔹 Put Your Blinders On and Focus

Distractions are everywhere. You’ll look for shortcuts, silver bullets, and inspiration from others’ journeys. But true success comes from unwavering focus. When we stopped chasing an ‘Air Jordan moment’ and zeroed in on our strengths, we found our path.

🔹 Have a Filter for Decision-Making

Every opportunity looks good at first glance. But is it aligned with your mission? Does it bring you joy? Will it truly grow your business? Learning to ask the right questions before jumping into the next big thing saved us from major missteps.

🔹 Packaging Matters More Than You Think

After years of hand-waxing bottles, we learned (the hard way) that our customers wanted something different. A complete redesign, informed by real consumer insights, led to a 300% increase in shelf sales. The right packaging can be a game-changer.

🔹 Trust the Journey—Let Go of the White-Knuckle Grip

The hardest lesson of all: when you try to control everything, you risk crushing it. Learning to trust the process, lean into faith, and let go has made all the difference. If you hold on too tight, you’ll strangle your own success.

As we continue navigating the business world, these lessons remain at the core of our journey. What resonated with you the most from this episode? We’d love to hear your thoughts!

Until next time, keep believing, keep listening, and keep going.
