Thank you for joining us on a weekend to help you separate yourself from the competition. It was a great week on Elevate Springfield. We started it out like we always do with your weekly battle plan. We had a guest that day. A lot of times it is just me solo episodes on those Sundays, but we had a guest in on for our Sunday show. We had Michael Thomas from Central Illinois Customer Service Association and Ron Metzger from Motorheads. Reason being we had a great event this week. Over at Motorheads, we had a collaborative event between Central Illinois Customer Service Association and Local First Springfield. That was the March Madness event on Thursday. Hope you made it out. It was a great event. Great place to watch basketball on that 24-foot Jumbotron Food Friends Networking. Just an all-around great day. Hope you made it out for that. So on that Sunday, we talked all about that upcoming event. Then on Monday, we had Dr. Brian Wille from Align Life Chiropractic and Natural Health Center. Great discussion there. We talked about how he got into chiropractic, the challenges he faced early on in building his practice, and a lot about persistence and grit and how important that is in entrepreneurship. We also talked about some of his marketing strategies that he has employed throughout the years to grow his practice and also the significance of internal referrals. Couple other things we talked about with him was how his purpose and vision guide his work. A lot about purpose in that episode. So I would challenge everybody out there to hey, how strong is your purpose? Do you have your purpose at the forefront, at the front of mind at all time, as you are making all the decisions for your business and your life? So great conversation with Dr. Willie from Align Life. Go check that one out from Monday if you haven't listened to that one yet. Then on Tuesday, we had Ellie in again for our next Gen segment. We tackled objectivity versus subjectivity in art and media. Ellie talked a lot about the importance of standards in critiquing art, how the role of enjoyability plays in that, and talked about some other examples about how that works out in music and movies and books and what Ellie was really talking about, ultimately advocating for a more honest and open dialogue about art and media and about how there are certain standards between how she put it, you know, good and bad. Then on Wednesday for our community's grow together segment, we had Courtney, my wife, in to talk about Central Illinois Homeschool, our other business that we operate here in Springfield for the homeschool community, specifically doing high school dances and some middle school and elementary dances as well. But we have a couple of high school dances here recently. One's already passed, and we have our prom coming up. So we talked a lot about that event coming up in April. We also talked about a couple other ways that she is serving out in the community. So if you haven't checked that one out or the next gen segment, go ahead and check those out. Then on Thursday, we had Kevin Johnson from Johnson ⁇ Johnson Auto Center, almost a hundred years in the Springfield area, that family business, so much rich history. We talked about the evolution of the business over almost those hundred years, some of the challenges they've faced in the modern automotive industry. Kevin talked about his personal journey through the industry, how he stepped away from it for a while and then came back to the family business. Also talked about the importance of customer relationships and how that creates those referrals and creates those repeat customers and ultimately helps with longevity of the business. We also touched on trades in general and how good of a time it is for folks to get into the trades and how technology is impacting the automotive industry and how that's changed the type of person and the skill set needed to be an automotive technician. One cool thing to note with them too was you know the the role that Route 66 plays in their business, how their business had been on Route 66 a few different times. And I thought it was fun to talk about some of the old or some of the old school ways of doing things in terms of the full service service stations with all the uh pump attendance that came out, you know, that truly nostalgic American feel. So really, really cool story of longevity in business right here in Springfield. Then on Friday, we had Dr. Kelly Newman in again for our wellness upgrade segment. Talked about the power of fueling the soul. So we talked of talked about a few different themes surrounding personal growth and the importance of nurturing your soul and feeding that soul. Kelly also talked about the role of empathy in therapy. We got a little bit into the mind, body, soul connection, the impact of personal trauma, and practical ways to feed the soul through family connections and maybe even getting out into nature. So fill that soul cup, y'all. So a great week. If you missed any of those episodes, go back and check them out anywhere you get your podcasts, or YouTube, or Facebook, or anywhere else. So today I'd like to touch on something out of our 10x business summit that we have. It's called the Three Lids Assessment. The Three Lids Assessment for Transformational Growth. You know, we talked with Dr. Willie about his phenomenal team and how the only way you're really growing and scaling is through people. Now, as we're looking at scaling, how do you move your business beyond where it currently is to where you want it to be? How do you inspire others to help you achieve your business goals? And the process really begins when you amplify and elevate your level of thinking, creating ambitious goals and a high level of expectation for achieving them. Raising this belief lid, the first lid of the three lids assessment, raising that belief lid alone can help raise the bar for what's possible in your business. So attention to all three lids, all three lids to transformational growth will guide you further down that path to boosting your team's performance as well as boosting your business's overall magnitude of impact and therefore starting to scale. So, what I'd like to do today, I'm gonna run you through each of the three lids and ask you some questions. So, this would be a great episode for you to grab a piece of paper, grab a pen, and start writing some of this stuff down because I'm gonna ask you to rate yourself. If you would like to do this with us, give me a shout through social and we'll be able to do this with you or your team or your business. But this can be really powerful as you're looking at growth and scaling. So let's start with that belief lid. That belief lid is very, very important. Belief in general is a powerful source of energy. It's belief that truly drives innovation. The extent to your level of overall belief is called your belief lid. That's the first of the three lids, the degree to which you believe something is possible. So I've got six questions for you or six statements for you that I want you to rate yourself on. It's one through ten. And you're gonna rate your confidence and your abilities in each of these categories by circling what number, right? By writing down what number you think you are. One would be not confident, five would be neutral, and ten would be extremely confident. So let's go into those belief-led statements. Number one, my ability to grow my revenue and profitability. How confident are you in that? One to ten. Number two, my ability to stop my erosion of profitability. How confident, one through ten. Number three, my ability to invest in my business despite decreasing revenues. Tough one there, right? How confident are you there? Number four, my ability to expand to multiple locations in this economy. Next one, my ability to grow my net income by more than fifty percent. How much do you believe that you could grow that net income by more than fifty percent? One to ten. And finally, my ability to capture the maximum market share in my area. How confident are you that you could capture the maximum market share right here in Springfield or wherever you're from, one through ten. So then take all six of those numbers, add them up, that'll give you your total belief lid score. Then put that off to the side. Number two, the second lid is your operational effectiveness lid. So operational effectiveness can be measured by assessing your behaviors compared to top mentors and their most impactful contributions in your area of desired expertise. So creating a duplicable process from those best practices will aid in your overall impact and thus elevating your operational effectiveness lid. So, same thing. I've got six of them for you. Rate yourself one through ten. One being not confident at all, five being neutral, and ten being extremely confident. So my ability to identify top performers in my business. How confident are you in that? One to ten. My ability to duplicate top performers in my business, how confident? My ability to identify the gaps in my business's performance. Number four, my ability to incentivize my team to contribute to the business. Incentivize that team to contribute to the business. Number five, my ability to align my team with the goals of the business. And then finally, my ability to grow revenue by more than one hundred percent. Grow revenue by more than a hundred percent. How confident are you? One through ten. Add up those six numbers for me, set it off to the side. Final lid is that leadership lid. The difference between a boss and a leader. Hey, bosses dictate, leaders influence. And when it comes to achieving transformational growth for yourself, everything rises and falls on your ability to influence others. So I've got five more statements for you under the leadership lid. Same thing, one through ten, how confident are you? My ability to influence my team to affect the growth of my business. One to ten. My ability to inspire my team to help build the business. Feel like you can inspire your team. Number three, my ability to lead my team to ensure we're all on the same page. One to ten, how confident are you? Number five, my ability to invest in my people if I have decreasing revenues. Tough one, right? Still invest in people with decreasing revenues. One to ten, how confident are you? And finally, my ability to be out of the business and still grow my net income. Out of the business and still grow my net income. How confident are you? One to ten. And again, take those five numbers, add them all up for your total leadership lid score. So a perfect score for all of them, it would be 60 60 50. I will tell you, hopefully, you're not a 60-60-50 because we are we all have a ways to grow in all these areas. Grant Cardone himself, Brandon Dawson, and the entire team over at 10X are not 60-60-50. Grant Cardone will actually rate himself very, very low in many of these things because he knows he can still learn and continue to learn in all of these areas and build confidence in all of these areas. So we would love to run your team through this or you as a business owner and dive a little bit deeper into each one of those. Hey, just give us a shout. We'd be happy to do that. Rewind this and listen to those questions again. But give us a shout and we'll be able to get you the copy of this and go through the whole thing with you. Hope that helps today, and we will see you tomorrow for your weekly battle plan. Looking for expert tree care with hometown integrity? Look no further than Sangamon Tree Service.
