SPEAKER_05Hello, hello, Ellie.
SPEAKER_02That sounded really weird when I said that. That felt really weird. How are you doing today?
SPEAKER_05Am I still you?
SPEAKER_02Be whoever you want to be, I guess.
SPEAKER_05I'm doing great here downtown in Springfield and downtown Springfield, right next to the Capitol. It's been a lovely day. We went to the farmers market this morning and it was quite great. And we also went to the arts and culture school.
SPEAKER_02You know, you say it's been it's a beautiful day in Springfield a lot. And you know you say that a lot.
SPEAKER_05Yeah, I guess I guess it's just it's just always a beautiful day in Springfield.
SPEAKER_02It is, but I feel like you're just a little overboard sometimes when you say that.
SPEAKER_05Well, would you like to say it instead?
SPEAKER_02No, it's always a beautiful day in Springfield. I agree with you on that.
SPEAKER_05I would never say that.
SPEAKER_02No, you wouldn't. I was I would never say that you're literally putting words in your mouth.
SPEAKER_05I would never say that. You just put words in my mouth. I would never say that. So do you guys know what's going on right now at all? So we're pretending to be each other. We are swapping roles this time. Except for we didn't swap chairs.
SPEAKER_02We did not. But we're gonna see how well, well, one, I guess maybe how well we know each other and and how well we can really call what the other person would actually say.
SPEAKER_05Mm-hmm. And tone, infliction, body language.
SPEAKER_02As close to that as possible. There might be a little roast in there here and there, but we're gonna try to keep it as as legit as possible here.
SPEAKER_05Well, Ellie, for one, we can do a really easy question. We got what is your coffee order?
SPEAKER_02I like a vanilla latte from Shields. Shields or Shields from Schlees. I like a vanilla latte. Ellie, you really messed that up. I did. I did. Take two. I like a vanilla latte from Shields. I said it wrong again.
SPEAKER_05I like I see Ellie, I didn't even notice. I was just focusing on how you got the coffee order wrong. Yeah, well, that's I'm more of a caramel or cinnamon girl. I mean, you're more of a carnal caramel or cinnamon girl.
SPEAKER_02Most of the time I like vanilla. I'll get caramel here and there, but I get vanilla most of the time.
SPEAKER_05I really don't.
SPEAKER_02I only get you really I don't drink any of that.
SPEAKER_05You really don't. You only do that when there's not a caramel or cinnamon option. Which sometimes the case I got a caramel one from you got a caramel one from Jalie's last time.
SPEAKER_02I did?
SPEAKER_05You did.
SPEAKER_02Yeah.
SPEAKER_05I did get a vanilla at one point. You are right. But I you did get a vanilla one at one point. You are right.
SPEAKER_02Epic fail, I guess.
SPEAKER_05So ask me mine. I mean, ask me mine.
SPEAKER_02What was that? Is that my normal tone? Ask me mine.
SPEAKER_05Yes, it is. Yes, it is my normal yes, it is my normal tone.
SPEAKER_02What's your coffee order? I'm gonna throw it right back at you.
SPEAKER_05You know, I'm gonna be completely honest here. I just like dark, black coffee with nothing else in it. You know, some people think it's crazy, but you know, I don't drink milkshakes. I just like the coffee. So that's it.
SPEAKER_02Pretty close. I'll give you that one. Except you missed the organic part.
SPEAKER_05And make sure it's organic too.
SPEAKER_02There you go.
SPEAKER_05You know, Ellie, I have another question for you. You've touched on this a couple times in our discussions, but what is your workout routine?
SPEAKER_02Well, when I have time for it, I don't always get to it. You know, sometimes my Instagram scrolling takes precedence over my work over my workout. But I do really enjoy a good core workout. So I really focus on abs and quite frankly, not much else.
SPEAKER_05You know, you're right, you might be right about that, Ellie. Yeah. I I you do work glutes sometimes. I do. But that really burns your your thighs a lot.
SPEAKER_02I do the occasional glute workout, right?
SPEAKER_05But it makes you sweat, so you don't do it as much.
SPEAKER_02Correct. Correct. Because something about me, I do not like to go to bed sweaty. So if I'm gonna do a workout, I have to have a shower after that. And sometimes I don't feel like doing that whole thing, so I just skip the workout entirely.
SPEAKER_05Very good, very good. I did a little head thing.
SPEAKER_02Do I do a head thing?
SPEAKER_05Very good, very good. You like adjust the mic a little bit, you know?
SPEAKER_02I never noticed I did that. Very, very observant.
SPEAKER_05You know, for me, I like to go to bed dirty, you know? I like to shower in the morning soon for the day, and then I like to get away.
SPEAKER_02Dad, you're getting you're going a little too deep here. I don't think anybody cares about your uh shower routine.
SPEAKER_05You know, I think they all care. You know, I I think so. And I just I like to lay in my grime and on my pillow and on my blankets because I shower in the morning. So then I'm just getting dirty throughout the whole day, you know? And then I just go to bed in my filth.
SPEAKER_02For those that are just listening to the audio, that was a relatively spot on uh hand gesture that you just did, I guess. I do those on occasion. As in right before she did it, she quite frankly mocked me. So there we go. Well, dad, what is your morning routine like?
SPEAKER_05Well, you know, I like to get up before the roosters get up. You know, that is how you have a productive day, quite frankly. You gotta get up before everybody else gets up because that is how you 10X to your morning, okay? So you gotta get up at 5 a.m., all right. So first you get up at five, and then I go in the kitchen and make my organic black coffee. And then after that, I go downstairs and I do my downstairs stuff.
SPEAKER_02Yeah, quite frankly, I know nothing about what goes on in the morning like that because I don't get up till at least 10.
SPEAKER_05So You know, you really don't though. You you get up pretty quit pretty early, you know, like eight o'clock. So I go downstairs, I watch a little bit of my show while I'm drinking my coffee on our brown couch downstairs, and then I go over and I do my heavy bag and I go ba ba and I shake the whole house and I do all the other workout stuff that takes, however long a workout takes, you know, it takes a long a while. I say you know a lot, as you I don't think you do.
SPEAKER_02I'd say you're partially correct. You got a few things in there. There's a few things that not accurate, but hey, I'm moving forward. I don't watch TV downstairs anymore. I haven't done that in a long time. Occasionally. Yeah. But it's not necessarily TV that I'm watching in the morning. And but okay, so I'm I'm me right now.
SPEAKER_05I said you watched something.
SPEAKER_02Oh, okay. All right. Well then fair enough. It's normally training stuff, but yeah Yeah, I said you watched something.
SPEAKER_05Yeah. Okay, let me think of another question.
SPEAKER_02I mean, my morning routine is I get up, 8 30, 9-ish. I marinade in my bed for a little bit.
SPEAKER_05I never say marinade. That's not a word.
SPEAKER_02I'm pretty sure I've heard you say that.
SPEAKER_05Marinade?
SPEAKER_02You say marinate?
SPEAKER_05Yeah.
SPEAKER_02Yeah. What'd I say?
SPEAKER_05Marinade.
SPEAKER_02I didn't I didn't enunciate my teeth.
SPEAKER_05As in, don't be dad.
SPEAKER_02So marinate.
unknownYeah.
SPEAKER_02So you yeah, you do say marinate a lot, and that's what you do in the morning, you say?
SPEAKER_05Get back into character. Get back into character.
SPEAKER_02So I marinate in my bed for a little bit. I check my notifications, I check any of my Instagram stuff. I go downstairs, I try to find something ridiculously unhealthy to eat for breakfast.
SPEAKER_05Then You do not do that. That was really good, wasn't it? You do you do this.
SPEAKER_02That was pretty good. Yeah, I do that a lot. And I as I as I gesture towards somebody, as I talk to somebody, I sometimes gesture toward them and lead my head in inadvertently. I don't mean to do it, but I do that sometimes. Like that. Very nice. I think you're better at this than me.
SPEAKER_05Maybe. Maybe. Maybe I am. Maybe I No, maybe let's just be my host seat, you know? Continue with my with your morning routine.
SPEAKER_02With my morning routine. And then at some point I start doing my schoolwork. Sometimes it's first thing, sometimes it's never. I mean, just kidding. I do it every single day. And then I do my work for a few hours, and that's my whole morning routine.
SPEAKER_05Well, Ellie, I think the more accurate description of your morning routine would be you go downstairs and look for breakfast. Proceed to find no breakfast, and then go upstairs because we have no breakfast. And then you do your school work, then you are hungry. Then you go down again to see if you lowered your standards for a breakfast. And then you get snack, which is either chips or cheese, and then go back upstairs.
SPEAKER_02What happens typically? I go down, I see these great pastured eggs, you know, pasteurized eggs in the fridge, like three dozen of them. And I look at them like, no, I don't feel like cooking anything. Even though those would be a delicious and nutritious breakfast, I don't feel like cooking anything. So as I'm closing the fridge, I'm gonna say, Oh, we have nothing to eat. And I'm gonna go upstairs for a little while. Then I'm gonna come back down and I'm gonna say, Do we have any salt and mini or chips or watermelon or fruit or anything like that? And then I'm just gonna make it.
SPEAKER_05Well, Ellie, quite frankly, you know that I am never cutting a watermelon ever again.
SPEAKER_02Yeah, why not? Why won't you do that for us anymore?
SPEAKER_05Well, because I stink, number one. And number two, quite frankly, it's because a few summers ago, you guys made me cut so many gosh darn watermelons, and it just burnt me out for the rest of the the rest of ever. I just cut so many watermelons.
SPEAKER_02And me as me, that's completely true. I I think I cut about 73 watermelons that summer. It was ridiculous. So from that point forward, I said, no, I'm not cutting any more watermelons. You guys are gonna have to cut your own watermelon.
SPEAKER_05You know, for a man with so many muscles like myself, I really don't like doing too many things that require them to be useful, you know.
SPEAKER_02Burning me.
SPEAKER_05I don't know what else I'd be bodybuilding for if I wouldn't be cutting my daughter's watermelons.
SPEAKER_02That's true. That's true. It's what you it's what you work out for. Cut those, cut those watermelons. Take care of me, my sister, and everything.
SPEAKER_05The occasional cantaloupe. That's true.
unknownThat's true.
SPEAKER_02So, Dad, someone asks how you're doing. What's your go-to answer? What's your automatic answer?
SPEAKER_05I'm doing fantastic.
SPEAKER_02I say that occasionally, yeah. You do say that a lot, Dad.
SPEAKER_05I think that's fantastic. What's your go-to answer, daughter? Or I have a better question.
SPEAKER_02Okay, I was just about to answer it, but go ahead and give me the better question.
SPEAKER_05No. Oh no, go ahead, answer it. Well, I'm fine.
SPEAKER_02I mean, I got up today, did a few things in my room before I got ready for the day. But as I was doing that, I found a book that I hadn't read in a while. So I read a few pages of that. So that was good. Even though I really didn't like the ending.
SPEAKER_05Highly unrealistic.
SPEAKER_02Even though I really didn't like the ending, I felt like it was a little too contrived. So I wouldn't recommend that book, by the way. Don't don't, just, just, just don't. So just don't.
SPEAKER_05You're you're funny.
SPEAKER_02It is you or me. What was the next question you had for me?
SPEAKER_05Well, what is your go-to answer if someone offers you something, but you say no, basically? Because I know you have one thing that you always say never fails, even when you think, man, I should really have a better reply than this, but you say it every single time. If somebody asks, Hey, would you like some tea? But your answer is no, what do you say?
SPEAKER_02I say no, thank you.
SPEAKER_05No.
SPEAKER_02I'm pretty sure I do.
SPEAKER_05No. You have a complete script that you say.
SPEAKER_02I think I say this.
SPEAKER_05Well, go ahead.
SPEAKER_02No, thank you. I'm fine. Thank you, though.
SPEAKER_05Closer.
SPEAKER_02Yes.
SPEAKER_05But no.
SPEAKER_02I'm very close. I am honing in.
SPEAKER_05You say I'm okay, but thank you. That's what I'm saying. Never fails all the time. No. Specifically, I'm okay, but thank you. Or and the occasional I appreciate it after said sentence.
SPEAKER_02Mm-hmm. Yeah, so I was like 95% there.
SPEAKER_05No, Ellie. What if your Wi-Fi went out? What would your be your reaction? If it went out for the entire evening, what would you do?
SPEAKER_02Well, first, I would complain about it for a little while. And then I would probably read or color for about 45 minutes. But then after that, I would simply say, We've got to go somewhere else that has Wi-Fi. I will we're going over to sister's house or somebody's that actually has Wi-Fi. That's what I would say.
SPEAKER_05Incorrect.
SPEAKER_02I would read or color. That's what I would do.
SPEAKER_05I'm not too Or you would journal, quite frankly.
SPEAKER_02I jokingly said that. I really am not that uh tech savvy. I really don't like internet that much. I mean, if I didn't have any social media, I think I'd probably be okay with it. But uh what?
SPEAKER_05You are legit putting words in my mouth.
SPEAKER_02I am legit lying completely right now. Yes. But yes, I would be reading or journaling or coloring or something like that. I don't think I would have too bad of a time if I didn't have Wi-Fi for a while. I would be okay.
SPEAKER_05Well, Ellie, you know how much of a big 10X fan I am. And I want to ask you, what are your thoughts on 10X? How do you 10X your life daily? Daily.
SPEAKER_02Daily? Daily? Well, you know, I listen to every piece of advice you've ever given me. And I really try to implement all of it into my daily life. I've heard you talk about 10x strategies and 10x mindsets so many times. We've talked about it on this next gen segment so many times. So the way I really embed it into my life is I have it in the back of my head all the time, is what I'm about to do truly 10x. Am I living my life according to 10x mindset and principles?
SPEAKER_05You know, Ellie, you're really not playing your role very well.
SPEAKER_02No, I'm not. I'm just pulling stuff out of wherever. What's the actual answer? So I guess 10X to me is setting your goals so high that even if you don't quite get to them, you still get past what your original average goal was.
SPEAKER_05See, Ellie, I think that was incorrect because I you would never be that articulate.
SPEAKER_02But that is what you would say, because you've said that about five times. A day. That's no good. So two weeks in a row, I've spilled coffee on my bare leg.
SPEAKER_05Yes, I have. No, I spilled coffee on myself.
SPEAKER_02Oh, that's true. For the past ten weeks. That's true. So it's just been well, no. I guess it was you last time and me this time. So it's not two weeks in a row.
SPEAKER_05No, but it was me, because that's my 10X mug.
SPEAKER_02That's true.
SPEAKER_05Which I'm holding right now. They don't know they're they can't see, they can't see.
SPEAKER_02I've got something for you. We could do some rapid fire ones here. All right.
SPEAKER_05So a few rapid fire ones before we close out.
SPEAKER_02What food could you eat every single day?
SPEAKER_05Chicken.
SPEAKER_02Salmon.
SPEAKER_05That's incorrect.
SPEAKER_02I know it is. I was wanting to use salt and vinegar chips. Yeah, I thought so. What's your ideal way to spend a day off without without any work completely? No work at all. You can't have work in there at all.
SPEAKER_05Well, quite frankly, I just love to spend time with my family, play some board games, watch some Disney movies, and be outside, take some walks.
SPEAKER_02So for me? It'd be one of two things. It's either one, have a full day at home, being able to read, watch movies, whatever I want to do all day with nothing scheduled, or two, have a complete scheduled day at Disney.
SPEAKER_05I suppose.
SPEAKER_02You suppose I got it right on that one?
SPEAKER_05Ish.
SPEAKER_02Yeah. Ish. What show would you binge for the tenth time?
SPEAKER_05You know, quite frankly, I don't really binge shows. I don't really have very many shows I repeat very often. Quite frankly, it's not something I do very often. But I say if I had to, it'd be American Pickers.
SPEAKER_02Take that. I'll take that. Yeah. I'd almost hit the movies more. I if it was me answering that, I probably would have said there's not very many TV shows, but I will watch Rocky over again.
SPEAKER_05Well, good thing it wasn't you answering that.
SPEAKER_02That's right. Well, for me, for Ellie, uh Percy Jackson, of course. So the new one, just to be completely clear, because the Percy Jackson movies before this show on Disney were absolute garbage. So so again, just like I mentioned earlier, just don't. Beach trip or Arizona Mountains.
SPEAKER_05You know, I love me some beach, but I those Arizona Mountains were just, they were amazing. I I I I'm I'm gonna have to go with Arizona Mountains because I've only been there once.
SPEAKER_02You were almost there. I've been there more than once, but hey, you almost had it. For me, for Ellie, I'm picking the beach. I I I love Arizona. It was nice, but not a real big hiker. Much rather be on the beach. What's your most used app?
SPEAKER_05Ooh, that is a hard one, Ellie. I mean, I might have to go with maybe Facebook because I'm posting on there a lot. I'm looking at some updates, maybe text messaging. Quite frankly, I'm old and dusty. So those seems like those are just the kind of apps that I'd be, you know, spend most of my time on.
SPEAKER_02I'll give you that on Facebook. Quite frankly. You are you are Do I say quite frankly a lot?
SPEAKER_05You know, I just found one I just found one of your words that you use a lot.
SPEAKER_02So I just You're probably right though. Facebook and it Facebook and text message are probably the two that I most use on my phone. So But for me, it's Instagram. I mean, one, two, three, four, five, six, it's Instagram. I mean, it beats out all others by a long shot. So that's definitely my most used app.
SPEAKER_05You know, you're gonna have to let us know who did the better impression. I personally think I stayed in character more by saying you, your, yours, as opposed to I, I, I.
SPEAKER_02I did I, yeah, I used the wrong, yeah, I did.
SPEAKER_05I I did. And I just said as opposed to, which I also, frankly, quite frankly, say a lot. So I think I win. I'll give you the win, even though And I can give you my full Robert impression. So I've that I've been doing for a while. It's like, what is it? It's like, hello Springfield, you know?
SPEAKER_00Yeah, yeah.
unknownNot bad.
SPEAKER_05It's a fantastic day down here in downtown Springfield in our chairs.
SPEAKER_02Well, Dad, I guess I'll give you the win. I will give you the win today.
SPEAKER_05Quite frankly, I agree. Well, I might have to edit out some of my quite frankly's.
