Let's Walk One Mile!

Summer should feel carefree. And yet, so many women spend it caught between two competing stories: wanting to be present and spontaneous, and quietly terrified they are going to lose all their progress.

In this episode, Sherie reframes the whole conversation. Summer is not a health threat. It is actually one of the healthiest seasons of the year, if you are willing to stop trying to make it look like February. She shares six simple summer concepts that will help you release the tension, stay grounded, and enjoy every bit of this season without falling behind.

✔ Why play counts as movement, and summer is full of it
✔ How summer naturally supports your circadian rhythm and sleep
✔ Why fresh summer food makes healthy eating easier, not harder
✔ How connection with people you love is a genuine health lever
✔ Why strength training still matters and how to simplify it for summer
✔ Why recovery is not something you earn. It is something you need.

🚶‍♀️ Your Action Item: Strength Training Made Easy

This week, take your strength training outside. Pick any outdoor space and do it there.

Ask yourself:

  1. Where could I do 15 minutes of movement outside this week that would actually feel enjoyable?
  2. Do I have resistance bands, or is it time to grab a simple set and keep them somewhere visible this summer?

Aim for two sessions of at least 15 minutes each. Bands, body weight, or both. Air squats, push-ups, walking lunges, a plank. Keep it simple, keep it outside, and let it feel like summer.
