We decided to step into the wine business (can this be better said somehow?) because we are too young to retire, we love to entertain, and we have what we believe is a beautiful property in Dundee Hills, we want to be able to share with people. We have recently finished planting our estate vineyard.

As Corcilla Cellars founder and winemaker, Cassandra brings the laughter, ridiculousness, and passion that make everything else possible. She’d be the first to say that winemaking isn’t always glamorous (and almost never easy), but there’s nowhere she’d rather be and nothing she’d rather be doing.

I'm Chef Sugar, a graduate of Oregon Culinary Institute, and have been a well-rounded pastry chef for the last 7 years. Sugarland Bakery specializes in classic, custom cookies and cupcakes. I use premium ingredients and organic airbrush colors.

Fox Farm Vineyards Founder David Fish is the daily operations manager. He researches and selects vineyards, makes harvest decisions, meets and greets folks at the tasting room, pours wines and tells jokes, shares the stories behind Fox Farm Vineyards, works with out-of-state distributors, and drinks lots of coffee.

David Patte is the owner, wine, vermouth, and cider maker.  David learned the craft and science of vinification through harvest internships with numerous Oregon wineries and wine makers, including Clay Pigeon Wines, Anderson Family Vineyard and Winery, Lumos Wine Company, Dominio IV Wines, Native Flora Wine, and Mylan Wines. This was supplemented with classes at the Chemeketa Wine Studies Program, and a lifetime of tasting wine, vermouth, and cider in the U.S. and France, and perhaps most importantly, absorbing the stories, lessons, and experiences from hundreds and hundreds of winemakers from France and the U.S. along the way. I don’t remember ever taking a vacation without at least a few days of wine tasting experiences, except perhaps our trips to the Hawaiian Islands. David was enamored with wine early in life as a young adult learning to love aperitifs, Rhone blends, Pinot Noir, and Champagne at the weekly Sunday family feasts and other special occasions.

Dorice had been working in education for over 30 years, teaching over 1000 students in private and class settings. She is passionate about teaching and learning. She loves sharing her ideas, experience, devotion, and love of Torah and Jewish traditions with children, teens, and adults. She believes that through fostering leadership and encouraging knowledge in others, we make a stronger, knowledgeable, and more dedicated community.

Dorice was born and raised in Israel. She moved to Portland after her army service with the IDF and after meeting her soon-to-be husband while volunteering on a kibbutz. She received her Bachelor’s degree in English Literature with a certificate in Linguistics from Portland State University, in addition to a Project Management certificate from the Center of Executive and Professional Development at Portland State University.

Meet the Family: 

FOUNDERS JON AND LESLI OWENS have deep roots in Oregon, spanning eight generations in the state. In 1850, Jon’s great, great, great-grandfather moved his family west on the Oregon Trail, settling in what was then the Oregon Territory, just north of the Chehalem Mountains, about 15 miles from where our vineyard is today. With a family history of farming in the Willamette Valley, it’s no wonder our vineyard thrives here. In the 1990’s, Jon and Lesli lived in Europe, and have traveled extensively around the world over the past few decades. Those travels gave them the opportunity to visit vineyards and wineries in France, Italy, Chile, South Africa and Australia, as well as Oregon, California and Washington. As a multi-generational family business, Jon and Lesli’s son James Owens, their daughter Emily Yensen, and their son-in-law, Zac Yensen all play active roles in the company and will share in its ownership.

With a wildflower heart and a dagger’s edge, I make wines for the ones who feel a little too much and never reasonably fit the mold. Dagger Daisy is my love letter to Oregon’s high-energy soils, sharp instincts, and the feral beauty of independent craft. Each wine I make is single-origin, small-batch, and unapologetically expressive - just like the people I hope will drink it.  I make wine under the watchful gaze of the AVP Wine Collective in Portland, Oregon, while running my consulting business out of Salem. A little chaos, a lot of passion. I do the picking, hauling, pressing, racking, swearing, and labeling myself - sometimes with wine-stained hands, sometimes with a dog on my lap, always with intention. Dagger Daisy is fierce yet feminine, gothic yet light, serious about quality but never self-serious. I believe wine should be both soulful and sharp. Thoughtful but fun. I started NW Accent during "the great shutdown of 2020". I have always been interested in learning how to screen print and in building my own business.  Quarantine gave me a great opportunity to go for it.  Dreams don't work unless you do, right? PARRA Wine Co was established in 2019 by proprietor Sam Parra. His last name is a Spanish and Portuguese surname meaning grapevine or trellis.

Born and raised in St. Helena, CA, he was destined to be in the wine industry. After rising through the ranks for 15 years in both Napa and Sonoma counties, Sam moved to the Willamette Valley in the summer of 2016 to begin this journey.

PARRA Wine Co is and will remain a boutique, hand crafted wine producer. Over the years Sam has cultivated friendships with highly respected growers that share the same passion and dedication to the craft.

Stacy Marie Ronquillo, NP, brings over 18 years of healthcare experience, including more than a decade spent in the fast-paced and demanding environment of the emergency room.  Motivated to provide a better solution, Stacy founded Remedy Functional Medicine to redefine healthcare through a functional medicine lens. Her practice is rooted in the belief that every patient deserves time, understanding, and a personalized approach to care. At Remedy Functional Medicine, patients receive more than symptom management—they receive thorough assessments, individualized plans, and tools to address the root causes of their health concerns. 

We (Steve and Luci) are partners in life and business. We've visited countless wineries and tasting rooms throughout the United States and Internaionally maintained an extensive wine cellar; developed sophisticated palates; belonged to 30+ wine clubs; attended countless wine club events, public wine festivals and private events; hosted many wine tasting evaluations for the Wine Tasting Institute; worked in vineyards, tasting rooms, barrel rooms, laboratories, crush pads and warehouses; and learned what we like and don't like about wines and tasting rooms. We started making wine under our Saxton-Serrato label in 2009. From 2011 to 2015, I was president of the Wine Tasting Institute, ‘The People’s Choice’ of wine-tasting services. In 2022, Choice Wineries awarded us #6 on their list of Ten Best Wineries in Oregon (out of more than 900 wineries). Fodor's Travel Pacific Northwest and Fodor's Oregon selected us as a featured winery to visit in Oregon Wine Country.

I've transitioned seamlessly from my roots in Kansas City to proudly call Portland my home.
