Welcome to The FitZen Project
SPEAKER_00Hello! Welcome back to the FitSim Project where I'm your host, Rachel Fitzpatrick, and the FitSim Project is about being in the business of yourself with yoga, mindset, and energy management. Well, thank you so much for showing up, tuning in, and press and play today. First of all, I wonder if you've noticed with the past few episodes. First and foremost, I had a regulation series and we did four sessions for this series. It was so cool because we started with transformation with the nervous system and how to use biofeedback voice technology to basically regulate your nervous system and step into your power as one with yourself and have the confidence needed to make life changes, life choices, and be taken seriously. So there's been review after review after review with Deepak Chari on his biofeedback technology systems, and they're all like five stars. So if you haven't checked that episode out, I highly recommend doing that. And as a matter of fact, I start my first treatment with Dr. Deepak on Friday, February 6th. So I can't wait to be um embodied in that whole entire healing technique and see what comes up. And once I go through the system, I will have him back on and we'll share my personal experience. So go check out that episode and let me know what you think about it. And also, if you do sign up for him, you can let him know that you heard about him through the podcast. And I believe he's running a special rate right now for people on the podcast. And say you heard it from the Fits and Project, and you'll get a special rate for your own therapy. So, anyway, his whole entire treatment was just one of those where I first of all didn't even know it existed until I met the man. And then, second of all, after reading the reviews, it was just one of those no-brainers, like, of course, I'm gonna try this. So I can't wait to start mine on Friday. But then moving into um more of the series, I had on Mike Milligan with One Oak Financial, and he has a financial planning on school, the school app, and that's in the show notes. And he is he his conversation around money was just one of those that you really need to hear because I feel like money can be such a vulnerable conversation, such a vulnerable topic, and it can really kind of like make you shrink in in talking about it or being around or whatever. It brings up an emotional feeling and for some people, but he breaks it down and he makes money sound and feel accessible, and it truly is. Money is energy, and that's really what it boils down to. It's energy. You don't actually hold all of the money that you see in your bank account, but it is energy reflected, it moves through your bank account, you know. So he breaks it down where he can set you up with all sorts of different life goals that you may have for your money. And his firm, I'm actually transferring all of my financials into One Oak with him because I love his ideologies. I love that it's a one-stop shop. He does wills, he does taxes, he does all of the things. So he'll be on the podcast again. I can't wait to have him on again. So we can talk taxes, we can talk more about entrepreneurship and what that means for you. Stay tuned and also go back and check out Mike Milligan and his financial episode with the regulation series. And then I got to talk with uh Dr. DiMatteo. Yeah, Lori DiMatteo. Lori DeMattia, oh my goodness, Lori DeMatteo. She's an obcd doctor, she's a DO, and she gave massive insights on what it truly means to be healthy, and how the medical world is shifting into more of a truth serum, and she's pulling out all of these, like for lack of better words, fake news about how and what the should dropping the should, like it should be skinny, it should be this size, whatever, and it more about listening to your body, more about honing in on what works specific for you. You know, the other day I heard that humans are um 97% the same, okay. No, maybe it was 99%. I don't know. It was up there, okay. I heard this the other day, and I'm pretty positive it was 99%. All humans are 99% the same. We're just different by 1%. Well, that 1% is the thing that we and the humanity, the doctors, all of the people who are studying the psychologies of the human designs, the human worlds, that they're trying to figure out this one percent when really it's not figure outable to apply as a one-size-fits-all. And that's what makes us so unique is we're not a one-size-fits-all. And that's what Dr. Dematia just goes through and explains. And I hope you check out her book and I hope you listen to her podcast with me. She was super helpful, super knowledgeable about taking tiny steps for some big moves. And then last but not least, what we had on that regulation series that I absolutely adored was my conversation with Chris Land and his book on the infinity within. I've actually started the book. It is so good. Um, in chapter three, and I I love it. So if you're in the market to learn, maybe have some thought consciousness, or just really just kind of check in with yourself and ask yourself some questions, you know, where or what or how do these things evolve? This book is more of um a tale that leads you into what is your unique purpose and your unique path. So I encourage you to check out the book, The Infinity Within. And listen to the podcast with Chris because he also provides some really great insights on life and just things as we know it and how it relates to our humanness. So anyway, that's been a wrap of where we are and where we've landed. So from regulation moving into this next phase, that was just the podcast, and that's only been in 2026, and it's kind of wild because in 2026 already, so many things have happened for me. So many things have happened for me, and I am doing this solo episode to release that and talk through what that looks like for me, and on a personal level, and how to continue to scale it up because like how good can it get? You know, like how good can it get? That's what I'm here to find out. So that's literally what I'm on earth to figure out is how good can it get. Because right now it's really freaking great, and I feel in my bones there's just limitless possibility that it's just gonna continue to just be limitless. So anyway, 2026, here goes the rundown. All right, I as mentioned worked with uh Mike Milligan and then got offered to start with his affiliation with his um school app, which is amazing. And his whole entire thing is helping people break down finances, which is something that I'm super interested in, and I'm taking uh participation leap into myself for 2026. So because it felt right for me, it felt right to affiliate with him and share what it is that I'm actually doing so that I can share it with other people, and then other people can benefit as well. So if you go into his affiliation that I've gotten the link, you can use code FITSIN and get a discount as well. And in his school program, he does monthly coaching calls, he has courses and a resource library of all sorts of things financial, and like I said, the resources for doing your will, doing your taxes, doing your budgeting and how to make money making money. It's um a fun, gamified way to um learn about finances. So that's what sparks my interest. That's what I'm loving. Another thing that I have going on in school right now is this um mentorship with Jennifer Liss expansion room, is what it's called. It's the expansion room. Also, you can find that in the show notes. But Jennifer's a really unique person. So you've heard me talk about my uh mentorship in 2025, the one that I did with Kathy Heller in This Abundant Life, which I mean, if it wasn't for her and me joining that, I probably wouldn't be having this awesome podcast, though. I loved it, absolutely loved it. 10 out of 10 recommend to anybody who wants to join a mentorship and a container for growth and amazingness and learn new things. Like, why would you not? Um, Jennifer is one of the things that I cherry picked out of there, and I love her energy, I love her vibe, and she's just cool, collected with all the things. She teaches safe to sell courses and she does masterminds, she really is a nervous system regulator, and I just love her, and she she cares none about how she is viewed because she knows from her bones, like her core, is that she is a match for somebody, and she also like totally embodies and understands that we are all our own 1% uniqueness, and we aren't made for everybody. Like, not everybody's gonna listen to this podcast and love it. I understand that. Jennifer is the same way, and she created her own podcast, it's called Fuck Around and Get Paid. And I hope that you go and check that out because she drops some really awesome nuggets about um selling and scaling and entrepreneurship, and they're short, short clips, and not it doesn't take a lot of time to learn a lot of things. How about that? And that's what she's like in her mentorship in the expansion room. So we meet twice a month. She does intensives, and it is one of um the best values that I could possibly put into a mentorship right now. So I'm happy to be with her for 2026 and carry this on. And I'm sharing it with you. So again, in the show notes, go check it out. I'm sharing all of these awesome things with you. Another favorite pick that I got and cherry-picked right out of Kathy Heller's group was my coach, Dana Hunter Fradella. And she is a self-made woman and a badass. I love her. She is a life coach. She helps people come from whatever it is that they're coming from, but she makes them unstoppable. And let's just put it that way: she makes them unstoppable. I just worked with her the whole month of January, and she worked with me on how to sell my retreat. So I've got a retreat coming up March 6th, 7th, and 8th in Daveau, Kentucky. Also available in the show notes. You want to check it out? Check it out. But um, she it made me realize like totally dopant to my psyche and gave it this like little shift that I needed to stand in the power of absolutely this is worth the amount that I'm charging. And absolutely, this is a gift through me, not about me. So, and that's what I needed to learn, and that is exactly the beef of this episode. So, we're here, and I'm sharing this with you because this was my biggest takeaway with Dana. And Dana also is totally available for one-on-one coaching. I want to just go ahead and throw that out there. She does a three-week immersive, which is what I did with her, and she does a longer container after she like makes sure like you're a great match for her, she's a great match for you. She's no no fluff, no bullshit kind of gal. So she's one that I totally respect. And I know if you're in entrepreneurship or you're trying to do something for yourself, even that that's the one I would always 10 out of 10 recommend to. Anyway, what we worked through the most with me and my retreat and getting it up off the ground was overcoming a lot of um sales, I would say like dogma that I have in my brain about it because it is kind of like a sticky. It's like, ugh, I don't want to do a sales, I'm not a used card salesman, or it just sounds terrible to even say that out loud. No offense to all those used cars salesmen people. I'm sure you do great. It's not something that I ever wanted to master. So, with knowing that about myself, I just kind of stayed away from it and not really realizing that that is actually what I do every single day in my actual job and what I've always done. So let me break that down. I'm a project executive in real life, like that's just what I do. This podcast is for funsies, all of my other stuff is amazing and what I actually have a passion and drive for, and it's my purpose. But my financial angel is a project executive, and I am so happy that this is how it goes. What I came from before I landed in corporate America was I waited tables for 10 years. Um, mainly through college, definitely after college, because after college, it was like nobody really wanted to hire somebody with experience, but also a college degree wasn't enough during the recession. So, anyway, long story short, I waited a lot of tables and I sold a lot of high-dollar meals, right? So when she broke this down, when I was waiting tables, I was working at these like fancy restaurants in Louisville. I I literally worked at so many. I just hopped around after I'd get bored at one, I'd go to another. You know, that's what server life is. And um, that's what my server life was. Let me put it that way. It wasn't a career, it was just uh a means to get by, right? My financial angel at that time. And what happened was I would just show up, right? I just showed up to work, put my best foot forward, and I could sell the dining room table and the chairs and not care. I was totally unattached. I knew that the chefs were there, they were expert chefs, they were hired to do their job, they stayed in the kitchen. I was the server, I stayed in my lane, I knew how to get the drinks, take the orders, be precise, be accurate, be on time, and do it all with a smile and also unattached from really giving a shit if I was gonna make$500 that night or$50. Like it didn't matter because at the end of the week it no it never failed. I always made the same amount of money, so it never failed. It just had to show up for the shift, right? And that's really what Dana reminded me and helped me remember of who I am and how it's not about me selling you a retreat. I can sell you, I it's not that because that's not really how I sell things. I sell things because I show up and that it's a relationship at that point. It's me talking with you, getting to know you, getting to know your taste buds, right? Like getting to know what kind of mood you're in, and knowing what I have to offer on the menu, and then making suggestions of what might help you feel even better in this moment in time. And that's all it is, is a moment in time for you, like right now. So I could potentially sell the appetizer and the full entree and the dessert. And if it was gonna be a perfect check, you were also gonna have a cocktail and a coffee at the end. Period. And that happened several times, several occasions, right? And I remember like that was the easiest nights, but that was because the people who showed up to buy those things, they were also like doing so with energy. Going back to exactly what I started this conversation with. It was their energy, they came in, they were like they expected a good meal, they came out to eat on purpose with an intention to have a good experience, and they knew somewhat what they were signing up for. They could have Googled it, right? Whatever cuisine. Maybe they were regulars and they knew exactly what they wanted on the menu because they loved it and they get that every single time. It didn't matter. They also had a sole contract in that moment in time that they knew exactly what they were doing and came there on purpose, just as I showed up on purpose, knowing exactly what I was gonna do in my job, in my role, staying in my lane and letting the food be carried through my actions, right? Of course, I didn't cook their steak, I didn't cook their cheesecake, but when they expressed how awesome it was, it was to me to be moved through me to go back to the chef. And it was a reciprocity, it was energy, it was moving all of that through in circular form. So going back to Dana and having this conversation and this like lit moment with my retreat, that's exactly how I've been approaching it. And then ever since then, like I just genuinely like don't care. And I and it's not that I don't care if it no one shows up because that's not the truth. It's just that if you're in a place to receive it, you're going to receive what I have to say. If you're in a place to hear or want to know more about what I've got going on and my offering, you're gonna stay tuned in, or you're gonna ask me the questions, or you're gonna read my email, or you're gonna sign up for my subscription email list, which is also in the show notes. You're going to want to be a part of it, right? So it's already done and in the ether. It's already happened and happening all at the same time. And what this retreat is to offer is the satisfaction of whatever craving you need to come back home to yourself, to get rooted in your own foundation, to find your confidence, to find your self-power, to understand you have a voice and you're not everybody's caretaker. You're your caretaker. That's it. You are your caretaker. And when you start giving it all away, what do you have left at the end of the day except a big ball of exhaustion? And that's really what we'll be diving into. This retreat, it's not about me, it's about you. And I've got these means to move through it. And you're gonna tell me what you're in the mood for. Do you want to eat something hot or cold? Do you want to go deeper? Do you want to stay surface level? Do you want to have the coffee or the tea at the end of it all? You know, that is your choice always, every single time I show up to any place, whether I'm teaching a yoga class, serving tables, doing a coaching call, whatever it is, it's your choice as to how this goes. I'm just letting the work move through me and not even attached. And that's how it is. That's how my yoga classes are actually. And I never really put that together either until I got to work with my bestie Dana. And she was totally my bestie for three weeks. Like literally, I would just first person I texted in the morning and last person I messaged at night. So it was great. Now I'm like, what do I do? She's gone. But she's not really gone. But anyway, but yeah, it just is a it's a way to run through me. And I know that the gifts that I have, like the yoga, for example, I know how to turn that into embodied practices, not surface level on your mat, coming in and doing a bunch of poses and then leaving. That's not my style. My yoga representation when I teach a class, it's relational. It's a relationship. I am literally in a relationship with every single person in the room, and they feel it. And I know it because they tell me about it. And they tell me every single time. And it's wonderful. And that's what I'm here for. And that's my gift that I know beyond a shadow of doubt. So much so that I won this amazing gorgeous yoga mat. Look at this from life form. Okay. This beautiful, beautiful yoga mat from life form. I won it just in January. And I know beyond a shadow of a doubt, it was because I'm supposed to represent, y'all. I'm supposed to represent with my yoga, with like teaching and flowing and being part of it all. And that's exactly how I'm showing up. And that's exactly what I'm here to do. And that's how exactly what I'm gonna do. And what else happened for me in 2026? Oh, I got accepted into the Kentucky Yoga Festival as an instructor. So that was super awesome. I'm doing it with my mom. She's a holistic nurse coach, and she'll be teaching a class, and I'll be teaching a class, and so, so, so excited because she's also coaching at the retreat. She's coaching how to embody these practices of letting go of the people pleasing and coming back into yourself and making it also about yourself. She's one of my greatest teachers, mentors, coaches, mother. And I'm so beyond thankful and blessed that she's mine. And I got to learn from her for my whole entire life. And I'm actually really happy to share her with the world as we move into this next phase of our lives together. So we are doing our retreats together, which you I'm sure you saw for our October retreat. If you haven't listened to those podcasts, go back and listen to them. Just see and listen to them. She's also in another one of my podcasts, and it it's it's the spark that landed her exactly where she is today. And I hope you go back and listen to that. It was one of the very early ons back in 2025, and you will fall in love with her just as much as I love her today, and I'm sure of it, because the way she's had to move through her own challenges and difficulties is just another testament for how to make it go through and teach from a place of authenticity. And that's exactly what she's taught me my whole entire life. So I'm very proud of her. We get to move into this retreat world together, this festival world together. And then the next thing that happened in 2026 was I got an offer to teach as an instructor at the Transcend Yoga Festival in Vermont, Bratton Mountain, Vermont. That is another big win for me for this year because when I first started this journey, it was in 2019. And I went to the Wonderlust Yoga Festival by myself. And I went on purpose alone just to see if I could do it alone. I've always depended on somebody else to make my vacation plans or whatever I was gonna do, or whatever music festival I was gonna go to, or whatever kind of fun I was gonna do. But this is something that I called in on my own and wanted to do on my own. So I went to Wonderlust in 2019, and that was when I realized there was so much more for me. And that was when I realized I knew some big changes were gonna be made. I didn't know when, I didn't know how, but I was opening myself up to receive it. It's when I realized I wasn't meant to stay in Lawville for forever. And that's when I realized like life I I wasn't leading my life, I was just living it. So I turned it around and started taking myself more seriously and started leading my life, and since then so much has changed. And that festival meant so much to me because I learned from some of the greatest yoga instructors at that time. And now I'm at a very similar one-to-one level stage of representation, and the honor that I feel from getting to be in these arenas with these wonderful leaders in the space of yoga. I mean, I don't think there are words that truly um identify how that feels. Except maybe just gratitude. I'm just so grateful that I get to be considered as um someone that knows how to lead a room and and not even lead a room, but lead you back to being certain with what you want, with how to be in the business of yourself, with how to show up and how to drive in your inner confidence, your inner peace, and know your inner worth. And that's exactly what I teach on the regular, and I cannot wait to teach this on these stages at my retreat, and it just feels like the most abundant life right now. So when I started that mentorship a year ago with Kathy Heller, this abundant life and her book, I asked myself, how good can it get? And y'all, and this is just 2026 and this is just February 2nd, and uh it's getting good, it's getting really good, and uh the possibilities are limitless. So I'm gonna end on that, and because that's enough. There's no more to say. I have a few episodes in the books coming up for February. I am so in love with these. Um they're passion and purpose-led and purpose-driven episodes with some amazing guests, and it was an honor to get to even be in the same room with them, even if it was virtual. So I hope you stay tuned in. I'm sure you will because I don't know why you wouldn't at this point. Stay for the dessert. Trust me, it is that good. It is that delicious. You want a key lamp pie? It is on its way. You want a cheesecake? Just wait for it. This is 10 times better than both of those combined. So let's bring it in. Hands come in to Heart Center, and we will seal this beautiful, beautiful, beautiful podcast with the sound of one um after an inhale. Namaste.
