This week we're putting on our metaphorical tin foil hats and diving into some of the internet's strangest conspiracy theories. From UFOs and Atlantis to giant tree stumps disguised as mountains, we're asking the questions that have fueled late-night conversations, Reddit rabbit holes, and countless YouTube documentaries.

We're not here to prove anything. We're just curious.

So today we're gonna talk about current things that are conspiracy theories that people that some people believe. And we're gonna find out.

Do I think birds are real? Yes, yes, Miriam. I think birds are real. I even think the pterodactyl is real. I think little budgies are real. I like little finches, they're real. Oh, and the woodpeckers that come to say hi to me, they are most definitely real.

So there is this theory that birds aren't actually birds, and that the US government and other governments have replaced birds with surveillance drones decades ago. And sorry, and this is why we always see birds sitting on power lines because they're recharging. I thought birds weren't real.

So I okay, hang on a second. So you're telling me that somewhere out in this land, this crazy land that we are are in, somebody is saying birds are actually little robots or whatever, gathering information.

Uh-huh. And that they sit on power lines to recharge their drone batteries, and they poop tracking devices. So they poop on people or cars, and the poop is actually a tracking device.

Okay, to all of you aspiring sci-fi writers uh currently listening to this, here you go. Here's some fodder. Here is some, you know, things that you could perhaps create a movie, but I'd like to star in it. Okay, but I don't want to be the bird, all right? Um, but seriously, this is what's out there, okay? All right.

I want to know if you believe the birds are real or not. And I will say, uh I'll have to find the video and I'll post it. There is a really interesting video of a bird as a drone. Like that it flaps its wings.

Oh my god. Do you think that we are living in a simulation?

And this is like very like you, I think, have been in simulation situations as an actor.

Yes, yes, where we've had two different lives at this sort of interfa interfacing and different things. Yes.

So this theory suggests that our entire reality is actually this like giant computer simulation, like the Matrix, that's been created by a more advanced civilization. And there are many serious papers where people think it could be possible.

Well, what was that one? You're making me think of that movie, which is similar. There's two similar things. No, it wasn't The Matrix. I'm not even thinking of that one. I'm thinking of that what can actually exist. What was the one with the Truman? Wasn't it Truman with um Jim Carrey? Where, and then most recently, wasn't there a series? It was a short-lived series, like a like not even a series, just a special of three or four episodes or something, where um remember with the president and you find out that they're have been in like this protected bunker because outside has all been destroyed. What the heck was that show? I started watching it.

But it's like, who knows? There's some ideas out there. I will never just say, you know, no flat out to anything. The birds is it's a that's a that's a little bit out there for me. But um, you know, who knows? How do we know? Really? How do we actually know?

You know, I will say I'm not a quantum physicist and all of that, and there are papers like that are looking at this. I think if it if it came out to be true, I would be like, okay.

Like, I'm not like pro that we are living in a simulation, but I think if like if someone proved that we were in a simulation, I don't know, would you want to know, or would you just want like the ignorance of like we're just living for me personally, just because I I love this planet and I I all of them I don't I don't right and I love my life. I don't I don't think I would want to know because I I love I mean I'm saddened by all the various things that are happening around the world. That is, I mean it is that, but the world is such an amazing place, right? It can offer up so much that I would yeah, I wouldn't I wouldn't want to.

I don't know if I'd want to know because I do love my life and the people in it and my family so much.

And if it wasn't, I mean, I guess if it's a I don't know, that's a really hard one.

I guess you don't have a choice, but I've got the giggles note because Miriam knows this. My daughter graduated and it was her uh, you know, receiving ceremony, whatever it's called, you know, walk across the stage and all of a sudden you maybe go to this like crazy, crazy ass sci-fi thing where she's walking across the stage with her cap account. She opens it up, and there's all of a sudden this robot where we're like, oh, it is a simulation. Oh my god, alert, alert. This is just coffee. It's just coffee. I swear to you, there's nothing else in this.

Yeah, there's so many. There's so many. Um okay. I'm gonna ask like a couple things. I guess so Antarctica. You have you ever been to Antarctica?

No, but you know what? It's on my bucket list.

Okay, it's on my list too.

Let's do a retreat to Antarctica.

It's long to get there.

Okay, well think about that one.

But we should go. Um so this is a hard question, but do you think that there are hidden lands or an ice wall or secret bases in Antarctica?

SPEAKER_00 8:54

Well, uh, having been on a sci-fi show called Stargate, SG1, for a number of years, and we went way, way, way, way, way underneath Cheyenne Mountain to this amazing base, who knows? And the gate was there. The possibilities are endless. Would I say no? I'm not gonna say no. I would be uh could be, who knows?

I think that there's some interesting things about Antarctica that we don't know, but I couldn't tell you what they are. Um there's this theory that there is, you know, major government cover-ups, but there's one theory that's particularly interesting that Antarctica actually is like an ice wall and a flat disk where there are like other world, like I guess like hidden lands and like civilizations beyond this like wall of ice that Antarctica is like really just like surrounded by this like ice wall, and like NASA is hiding like the images to make it look like something that's different. But there's like all these theories that there's like a world inside Antarctica, there's like islands on the other side of this ice wall. There's I mean, I don't know.

I find that fascinating, and of course, right now I'm just going to okay, how do we shoot this? How do we, and who do we cast? Because that is that's that's so crazy, and yet that would make a really great movie.

And they think there's like Indian bases, and yeah, I'll send you some of the videos of this. I mean, I think the isolation, not many people go to Antarctica and there's not like free rain, nobody can just like run around Antarctica. Um, and there are scientists that work there year-round, but I think it's a really mysterious place, and we don't really feel like we have access to it. So I do think that Antarctica could be hiding many things of which I do not know.

Hmm. Interesting. I have yeah, I have a a client who uh she she had mentioned that she's heading up to Antarctica. I was like, oh, that is so cool. That is so cool. I'm gonna ask her. I'm gonna have to reach out to her, email her, and say, hey, check around to see if there's this ice wall. Ice wall, you say, right?

I don't know. These things like find me.

They do so these this this woman here, my my dear friend, who has four books on the go, has a two-year-old um constantly working, doing different things, still finds the time to research into ice walls, yeah, and look at ice walls and say, Hey, I've got the video, I'm gonna send it to you. Okay, yeah, yeah, yeah.

And she couldn't stop Instagram and my TikTok are like I don't know how this like stuff gets on there. I really don't. Okay, okay. Do you think we went to the moon?

Yes.

Okay, there's a lot of people that think we did not actually go to the moon and it was a film set.

I did hear that. I have heard that one too, yes.

But you think we we went.

SPEAKER_00 12:30

I do. I like to believe that yes, in fact, we did. But how do I know? I don't know. We don't know.

We we get given information and we know. We're given information and we see stuff and we kind of just have to believe it. Isn't it more interesting to like not believe things sometimes?

I do think we believe it, but I also say it's fascinating, and I like the fact that people go, I don't know. I I don't know if I'm gonna take that at face value. I want to look into this more. So I I love hearing all of this. And it's we should do another poll or ask people to say, you know, what are your thoughts? Because what do you think? Did they or didn't they? Who knows? I like to think they did.

Yeah, I like to think we did too. But again, I don't think if if someone were to say, like, and prove that we didn't go to the moon, I would be like, I don't know how much it affects me either way.

Wouldn't affect me either way. What would I think affect me is that, well, why why did you give us this sense of hope that you know this type of travel is possible? And you know, watching all of us getting so invested in this. I love the fact that there is that growth and that you know we're constantly learning, constantly challenging, constantly growing. There would be a disappointment. Yeah, for me, there would be a disappointment for sure.

Do you I have to like pick um there's some interesting theories out there, okay? Um do you think that there is an advanced civilization like hiding under the ocean?

Well, there was Atlantis.

For me, my imagination, I love my imagination. I think you know, I just I'm so glad I have it. Why not? I think that would be so so fascinating and exciting, and who knows? Who knows?

I know. I'm kind of just like our planet is mainly water, there's so much of the ocean that hasn't been explored. I don't know. Again, it's one of those things that like wouldn't surprise me.

Yeah, exactly. That's the way to look at it. Well, yeah, who knows? It wouldn't surprise me. Good one.

I I think it's like, would this surprise me? Okay, do you think that dragons are slash were real?

Yes.

I do too. You want to know the biggest reason that I think this? Maybe not the biggest reason, but one of the reasons that I think this.

I think so. You know the Chinese zodiac?

Okay. Here's my biggest thing about this. It's like the year of the snake, the year of the pig, the year of the dog. Every single one except for the year of the dragon is a real animal. Like, it's like rat, ox, tiger, rabbit, snake, yes, sheep, monkey, rooster, dog, pig, dragon.

Obviously, when they're in the rabbit hole, but I was thinking about that. I was like, the year of the dragon. It's like it can't just be the only, you know.

Yeah, and completely. I totally believe they exist. Or they did exist. Absolutely. And think about like uh our our book stuff too, our book club. I mean, I love how they're they're always talking about the dragons, they're there. How can think about all the different shows that are out there with these dragons? How to how to train your dragon? Oh my gosh, that one just killed me. I love, I loved all of those.

You know what we should do? We should go in Florida. They are opening, or they opened Epic Universe. Now has a how to train your dragon world.

Like a theme park. You know, you know, I just came back from Disney World. You do not have to like pull my arm to go. I think Oh, I want to go.

Epic Universe is three parks. No, I think it's four parks. Let me look. Oh, yeah. It's four parks. And you go to, so there's like the Harry Potter land, Super Nintendo Land.

Then this is like not clear on their website. You should really like have it clearer. But yeah, there is I know there's Harry Potter. I remember how to train your dragon land, and there should be another land. Hold on, I'm looking this up because this is like horribly laid out. Okay, here it is. So Epic Universe is Harry Potter Land, Super Nintendo World, How to Train Your Dragonland, and then it's like villains, like bad people land. So there's four lands in Epic Universe. Bad people are really fun. I think we should go, but it looks like it's actually like other parks, like they have all this other stuff there. Oh, anyway, so it's dark universe, so it's like Frankenstein. That's what it is.

Well, think about even you know, during World War One, World War II, we have some here in in Vancouver as well. Like they've found under think about it all.

They built a lot of those like intentionally, I heard, too, like fake cities, like also like above ground, so that like planes overhead would think they were bombing real cities, but yeah, it was just like a fake wooden city.
