Ditch the Chaos: The Productivity Rebellion
The productivity podcast for burned out women entrepreneurs who are tired of holding their business together with duct tape and coffee.
Your week fell apart by Tuesday. Again.
You started Monday with a perfectly planned calendar, and by Wednesday you're drowning in "quick requests," rewriting the same to-do list for the third time, and rage-eating lunch at your desk because you're behind on everything.
You've tried the productivity systems. The morning routines. The time-blocking. The apps that promise to fix everything. And they all assume your life goes according to plan—which it never does.
Here's the truth: You're not bad at time management. You're exhausted from being everyone's backup plan. Your brain is running three parallel to-do lists during client calls. You're carrying the mental load for both your business and your family. And no planner app can fix that.
You need weekly planning that bends when life doesn't cooperate. Boundaries that actually protect your capacity. And permission to stop apologizing for needing rest.
That's what Ditch the Chaos: The Productivity Rebellion is for.
I'm Cara Chace—entrepreneur since 2015, homeschooling mom of two, and recovering people-pleaser who learned the hard way that most productivity advice is built for people whose days are predictable. Mine aren't. Yours probably aren't either.
This isn't another podcast telling you to wake up at 5am, batch your content, or hustle harder. This is where you learn to build your own systems instead of following everyone else's rules.
Every week, you'll get strategies for entrepreneur burnout recovery, real talk about setting boundaries without guilt, and practical ways to create white space in your calendar and breathing room in your brain—before you hit the wall.
You'll learn how to stop white-knuckling your way through every week, get your Fridays back, and run your business without sacrificing your sanity.
No templates. No rigid time-blocking. No productivity guilt. Just relief that actually works when your Tuesday falls apart.
Ready to stop being the failsafe for everything? Subscribe now and let's ditch the chaos together.

# (12) 10 Anti-Hustle Habits to Ditch Chaos and Burnout
[00:00:00] If your calendar feels like a game of Jenga, that's one block away from collapse. You're not bad at productivity, you're just drowning in hustle culture. In this episode, you'll learn 10 anti hustle habits that help you cut through chaos, protect your energy, and shift from burnout to clarity.
[00:00:20] Let's break this down. Welcome to Ditch the Chaos, A snackable podcast for busy women who are done with burnout, rigid routines and productivity guilt. You'll get clear, actionable strategies to reclaim your time and energy without planners pressure or one size fits all systems. I'm Cara Chace, entrepreneurs since 2015.
[00:00:43] Mom of two wife to one, and I am unapologetically caffeinated. Let's dive in. Today we're walking through 10 anti hussle habits to cut the chaos and stop feeling like you're always behind. They're simple shifts, [00:01:00] not hacks. Each one will help you reclaim time, energy, and focus without adding more to your plate.
[00:01:08] Habit number one, don't check your phone. First thing, you start your day in chaos. The second you hand your attention to someone else's priorities, that first scroll through Instagram, slack, or email. It sets the tone and not in a good way. Instead, protect your first few minutes, coffee, breathing, staring at the wall, whatever centers you.
[00:01:33] Real productivity starts with clarity, not consumption. Habit number two. Finish one thing before starting another. Multitasking is just fancy burnout. Every half finished email or half loaded tab is a mental open loop, draining your brain. Focus equals peace. Close one loop before opening another. If you want to feel accomplished by [00:02:00] 10:00 AM just do one thing and finish it and then move on.
[00:02:05] Habit number three, choose one system and stick with it. System hopping looks productive, but it's just chaos and procrastination in disguise.
[00:02:18] Every time you change planners or tweak your templates, you're starting over. Stick with one flexible method long enough to build consistency and ease. Chaos Detox teaches you how to build your system that actually flexes with your life.
[00:02:35] Habit number four. Say no to last minute asks. Your calendar is not a group. Project every yes to a surprise request is a no to something you already planned. Protect your time like you would a client meeting. Whitespace is strategic, not optional. Habit number five, turn off three notifications.[00:03:00]
[00:03:00] Distraction is not just annoying, it's a focus killer. Pick three non-essential notifications and shut them down today. Email pings, ring notifications, social media badges. Slack buzzes. You decide what deserves your attention. Clear the noise and reclaim your brain. Habit number six, plan dinner before noon
[00:03:27] by 5:00 PM Your brain is toast and you might decide to have toast for dinner. Dinner decisions at that time are just more chaos. Decide earlier in the day and theme your nights. If it helps, it's not just about perfect meal planning. It's about removing one unnecessary decision. Habit number seven, step outside by 3:00 PM A mid-afternoon reset isn't indulgent.
[00:03:56] It's tactical sunlight movement stepping away [00:04:00] from your screen. It recharges your brain better than caffeine. I stack it with lunch and it works. Habit number eight, track results not busyness. Checking off 12 tasks, don't matter if it's not productive. Track what actually moves the needle. Did you finish the project?
[00:04:20] Did you reduce stress? Did you meet a habit goal like daily water intake? That's what counts. Habit number nine, schedule rest like a meeting. If it's not on the calendar, it won't happen. Rest is not a reward. It's a requirement. Put it on your schedule and make it non-negotiable. Your energy is your most limited resource habit.
[00:04:47] Number 10, unfollow hustle content. This might be my favorite habit. Comparison is a distraction. Hustle culture is a mental load. [00:05:00] Curate your feed mute. Unfollow, and unsubscribe. Not out of spite, but as an energy strategy, you need your own clarity, not their highlight reel. Every one of these habits is a doorway to real productivity.
[00:05:15] The kind that feels like peace, not pressure. Here's your reset and reclaim action step for the week. Pick one habit that hit you the hardest of these 10. Implement it today. Not tomorrow, not Monday, but today. If you need more clarity, go read the full blog @CaraChace.com
