Something shifts when your old life starts feeling too tight and you can’t unsee it. Kari Lowe sits down with manifestation teacher and soul mentor Amy Wilkinson to name that shift as identity death: the uncomfortable, necessary shedding of roles, habits, and self-abandonment that once kept you safe but now keep you small. If you’ve been craving a glow up but keep hitting the “what is happening to me?” phase first, this conversation gives you language, permission, and next steps.

We get practical about how to trust your intuition when fear gets loud. Amy breaks down why the nervous system treats the unfamiliar as unsafe, how fear often shows up as urgency and spiraling thoughts, and why soul-led guidance feels quieter, steadier, and persistent. We also talk about desires as sacred signals, embodiment as a tool for discernment, and what it looks like to take the next half-step before you have proof.

Then we go deeper into external validation, surrender, and divine timing. Amy shares how asking for signs and noticing synchronicities can build a real relationship with spirit guides, plus a powerful story about selling a 15-year business and what finally changed when she stopped gripping for control. You’ll walk away with a grounded way to think about manifestation: not just “getting the thing,” but becoming the person who can hold it.

If this hits you in the chest, share it with a friend who’s in the in-between, subscribe, and leave a review so more women can find She Ignites.

Welcome To She Ignites

SPEAKER_00

Welcome to She Ignites, the podcast where we burn the rule book, ditch the shoulds, and light up the lives we were meant to lead. I'm your host, Carrie Lowe, candlemaker, confidence dealer, and your favorite fire starter. Around here, we speak boldly, dream wildly, and show up messy and magical. If you're done playing small and ready to own your own spark, you're in the right damn place. Now let's get lit. Welcome back, Firestarters. You are listening to She Ignites, the podcast where we stop asking for permission, start listening to ourselves, and finally live like the main character we were always meant to be. I am so excited to introduce you to today's guest, Amy Wilkinson. Amy is a manifestation teacher and soul mentor with over 20 years in personal growth and spiritual leadership. She guides women to reconnect with who they truly are, helping them align with their highest self and create a life that actually reflects that. She is also the host of the Abundance Club Podcast, where she teaches women how to stop chasing and start becoming. And what I love most about Amy is this she doesn't just talk about alignment. She walked away from a 15-year business to follow it. Like that's the kind of courage we talk about here. So are you ready for this conversation? So let's get started.

What Identity Death Really Means

SPEAKER_00

On today's episode, we are going deep. We're gonna talk about identity death, we're talking about shedding versions of yourself that no longer fit, and we're talking about what it actually looks like to walk through the fire and come out as her. Because let's be real, everyone loves the glow out, but no one talks about the breakdown that comes before it. And that sometimes is where the beauty lies. So today's guest, Amy Wilkinson, is here to talk to us all about that. So welcome to She Ignites, and I am so glad that you are joining us today.

SPEAKER_02

Thank you so much. It's such a delight to be here. I love the name of this podcast too. I can always, I can just feel the ignition. I can feel the light. It's really cool. So I can't wait to dive into this conversation.

SPEAKER_00

Thank you so much. I love that. So I know that, you know, I have have watched some of your content and love the things that you're sharing. I'm I will say I am kind of a lurker and not an engaged person that watches. So I need to fix that. Um, I said that with my last guests um because I'm just like consuming it and I scroll and watch more and more. I'm like, wait, I need to comment. I need to comment. So whenever I have watched some of your things, you have talked about identity debt. And I would love to hear you explain what that means to you.

SPEAKER_02

I love that you're diving straight into this. And firstly, thank you for your honesty. I love that you said that you're Alexa. I love it. I love it. All right. So I think, you know, some of these terms get thrown around a lot. Like we hear ego death and identity death. And I think it's great to go into like, okay, what does that mean? Because we can hear these concepts, but like, what does that mean for me in our life? And I think in truth, many of us, and I'll speak predominantly to women and women entering in this kind of second phase of life, really, like many of us throughout our life are continually going through these identity deaths, and we're meant to. And I believe that the identity deaths are upgrading or up-leveling us for who we are becoming, who we're here to become. I think that a lot of the times we identify or we over-identify with our ego. And for want of a better word, ego another gets thrown around again a lot. The way that I like it is that the acronym of ego, which is edging God out. So it's like when we forget who we truly are and we buy into the limitation and we buy into our separateness, or we believe that we are the things that we do, or the roles that we play, and we can then over-identify with these constructs, and we believe that's who we are. So a lot of the work that I do and what I love doing with clients is bringing them back into their truth, into who you truly are beneath all of the layers, who you truly are, and have always been before the world told you who you need to be, before you felt like you needed to adapt yourself or shift to fit in or morph yourself or shape shift. And like I have been there and done that. I have done that. I think most women have. I think we get to a point where we remember something wakes us up in life. And I think our awakening journey can happen in different ways. Sometimes it's a really big thing or a crisis or a challenge that awakens us, and sometimes it's a slower awakening that occurs. But what happens in that awakening is we recognize that we are more than all of these roles that we play, that we're more than our mind, that we're more than this body, then we're more than these limiting thoughts that we over-identify with, and we start to wake up to our true nature. This has happened to me many times in my life. It can feel for many, like we hear about midlife crisis or when we go through menopause, many people experience this. And I think it's it's an exciting time rather than a crisis. I think it's only a crisis if you've been really disowning yourself or abandoning yourself and not living in alignment with your truth and who you came here to be. But we all have that capacity to remember that we are first and foremost, we're infinite souls, we're multidimensional beings, we're energy if you want to look at this scientifically. And when we awaken to our true nature, yeah, there's things that need to dissolve. There's the part of us that it can feel like a death, it can feel like a crumbling. But what I want to say to that is that's the part of you that is not here to take you forward. It's the part of you that's identified with an old role, an outgrown part of you. And in order to become anew, in order to reach that new level of potential, in order to manifest, we have to be able to let go and release of what no longer is serving us. The ways that we had played small, the ways that we had self-abandoned, the ways that we had people pleased to try and fit in, right? Like all of these different ways. And I'm sure if you're listening to this podcast, you can recognize yourself in those different roles that we play. And I believe when we hit this middle part of our life, we become less tolerant for it. It's like our soul saying, All right, it's go time. It's it's time for you to be who you came here to be. Stop segmenting yourself, stop believing in that separation and start to live as who you truly are. And that's the the rebirth on the other side of the death.

SPEAKER_00

I love that. And I I have said to many women that it would be such a blessing if we could learn this lesson as girls, so that we didn't have to spend so many years in that people-pleasing, shrinking ourselves stage of life, and we could just get straight to our mission and our purpose and our desires, you know, from from early on. But it's interesting to me as well to know that so you are in Australia, and I have had guests on from other countries as well, and it's so interesting to me to see that women experience the same thing across the world. And it's such a shame that the power feels like it's taken away from us, you know, in that way, because we have allowed that to happen, or it's just ingrained in us from day one. So I love the conversations I have with women that are changing that um and making examples for other women as

Amy’s Awakening And First Signs

SPEAKER_00

well. So, what is it that prompted you? You said that some people have like a certain situation, a traumatic experience, or just a realization, or it was just something small that made you realize that you weren't living your truth, basically. Was there a certain situation that made you realize that?

SPEAKER_02

I think for me, when we talk of this awakening process, I think that it happened gradually over time, but it actually happened for me from quite a young age. Like I can recognize being quite sensitive as a child. I can recognize being like really needing to have my own time away. I would I would spend a lot of time by myself, playing by myself. And I'm able to recognize now that I was likely, you know, playing in the spirit realm and playing with my imaginary friends and guides and all of that. So I feel like I've always had that. And I believe that we all come in having that recognition and having that connection. And you spoke to it in terms of like, wouldn't it be great if we didn't forget? But I also think that we learn here in this earth school through contrast, right? Through having the experience of forgetting so that we know what it's like when we do finally open our eyes and remember. I remember the first part of that awakening for me happened when I was in my late teens and my parents were going through a separation and a divorce. And as a sensitive being, I took a lot of it on and felt a level of responsibility for that as well. Feeling like if somebody's upset, then it, you know, I've done something wrong. And I think that we we start out with that kind of egocentric nature of something is crumbling in my world or something is not working, that I'm somehow responsible for that. At the time as well, I went through my own um breakup with a boyfriend that I had, and it was a real, like it was my first experience in all of this of heartbreak. And I remember just being so, so devastated and really looking for something. And I think that this can be the first point. It can be something in your life where you start to look for something more. There's got to be more to this life. There's something more that's here. So for me, it was at a young age. For other people, it can be at different stages of our life. I remember picking up a book which was called Um, You'll See It When You Believe It. And it was Stuart Wilde that wrote this book. Because I my I grew up in a household where my mum was quite into um, I guess it was, you know, new age spirituality back then. And she'd have books of Wayne Dyer and Louise Hay, and she used to do affirmations in the mirror. And I remember picking up this book and I had this full light bulb moment, but it was, it was one that I could just feel through my whole body, like just knowing and this recognition that we are actually co-creators in our life, that this life that we're seeing, that we're experiencing, that we're living, we're not at cause of that. We are, or we're not at the effect of that rather, we are a part of the cause, we are a co-creative being. So I started to dive into that at quite a young age and looked at how I could start to manifest certain outcomes using my mind and using my intention and using visualization and and things like that. So it's, and then I just had different experiences in my life where I had to learn to trust that, to not only hear it and to know it that I was being led and being guided by something else that was bigger than my mind. But I was asked to actually take the leaps and take the steps before the evidence appeared. And this has been a theme for me carried through my whole life is trusting in that, making a move from that place before I'm given the guarantee, before I'm given the evidence. So really walk walking with faith in a big way.

SPEAKER_00

Oh wow, that's powerful. And you know, I love that you that you had the the upbringing where that door was open to you from the beginning, as far as being able to see that. That's wonderful. So I know that you had mentioned, you know, similar to walking away before clarity exists. So until you, you know, you knew that you were ready, or maybe not ready, but no knew what path you were on.

Intuition Versus Fear In Real Life

SPEAKER_00

Um, do you have suggestions for the women listening to know how to trust themselves in order to do that? Because sometimes, you know, I think we all need, we want to be sure before we make a decision. And, you know, I know I'm I'm one of these people, and I have asked women this many times that do the coaching or mentoring women. Like sometimes I'll have an idea and there'll be something telling me, don't do it. And is that a message I'm receiving of fear because it's uncomfortable and it's going to take me out of you know, my comfort zone? Or is it truly a message coming to me saying, this is not the right path for you for this, this, and this reason? And I sometimes have a hard time distinguishing. And that could be the reverse for choosing something that is presented to you, whether it be a job offer or an offer that you want to make in your business. So, do you have any any guidance around that?

SPEAKER_02

Yeah, it's such a great question. And it's actually it's one that I get asked a lot is basically like, how do I determine guidance, guidance that's soul led versus my fear coming in, right? Or how do I know that this is for me? So, first of all, just taking a step back and a bigger picture view. I believe we all come in here with our soul mission and purpose. And I believe that the way that our guidance system, so I will call this a soul, you might, you might communicate with angels, your intuition. We each have guides in this life that are here to work with us. And it's usually two to four spirit guides that we have from when we incarnate. So we're gonna receive messages via our intuition. So you spoke about that knowing, that sensing, that that hearing. Everybody has a language of their intuition that is more developed, usually one or two senses that are more psychic senses that are more developed. But we all have this, and it's really important to know. The way that your guidance system, your soul is going to communicate to you is through one of the one of the really clear ways, is through your desires. It's through the things that light you up, that ignite joy, that that spark something in you. And the ones that are for you, those soul-led desires, they don't leave. It's not just like a fleeting thought. It's this feeling of, I know there's something here for me. I know that I'm here for more. So even if you're not exactly sure, a lot of people will come to me and say, I don't know what my desires are. We all have them. We do know what they are, but often we don't let ourselves go there because we think it's not gonna happen for me. I don't want to be disappointed, so we hold ourselves back. So, first and foremost is understanding that your desires are sacred, that they are signposts from your guidance team, from your soul guiding you forward. And also that what is for you is not gonna miss you. So, when you're getting an idea, an inspired idea, or some idea of something, as you said, that you want to move forward with and you're not sure, and then you get that voice in your head that says, don't do this, maybe this isn't right, this isn't for you, and you want to know is that guidance or is that fear? First thing to understand is how does it feel in your body? Pete. Often when when um information comes in that is more fear-based, because we have a protective part of us that is here trying to keep us safe. It's trying to keep us alive. That's its whole goal. Our nervous system is wired for safety, wired to keep us alive. So it means that that part of us is not going to be guiding us forward. It's not going to be saying, hey, make the move, write the book, take the leap, sell the house, relocate to a new country, start your podcast, because it considers that really unfamiliar and unfamiliar equals unsafe. Unfamiliar is like a death sentence for our nervous system and the aspect of us that's just trying to keep us alive. So when we get information that comes in, like a thought saying maybe this isn't for you, first of all, I always question it. What does this feel like in my body? Does this feel like truth? So anything that's more fear-based is going to feel urgent. It's going to feel a little more contractive. It's going to feel more up in the mind. We can still experience fear in the body, but we're understanding the difference between this is fear because I'm on the precipice of something exciting. And often when we are, when we're on the precipice of expansion, our system is going to alert us that this is unsafe and it's going to throw off then the thoughts of self-doubt. Who am I to do this? I'm no good at this. Maybe I shouldn't. Maybe this won't work out. When guidance comes through, and that's okay, we can still feel that fear, like any of the leaps that I've made, the moves that I've taken that have ultimately led to expansion. I had fears, I had doubt, I had resistance, but I understood where that was coming from. I understood that that wasn't the actual guidance that was leading me forward, that I could still feel that, have those thoughts, and take the move. I think some of the times when we wait for everything to feel perfect, when we wait for everything to be in the big flashing light, saying, like, go, Amy, step forward. And we wait to have this calm nervous system. That's why we hold ourselves back because we tell ourselves that we're not ready. So it's okay to have that fear, to have some of that resistance. That's good. But what's underneath that the guidance that comes from your soul, it's patient, it's steady. It feels like it's not gonna leave you. It's quieter. Often it will come as a whisper, whereas the fear thoughts are more active and they're more urgent. So that's I I guide people into embodiment. So intuition via embodiment, like noticing, does that feel good? What would it feel like if I imagined making that move, stepping forward? Does that feel expansive? Like just understanding how the energy is moving in your body. Often, and then often you will you can speak to the fear and you can say, okay, I know this is fear, I know you're scared, but that's okay. But that's not the part of you that's leading. The part of you that's leading is your soul, and so it's learning to trust in that more than your doubts and your fears.

SPEAKER_00

I love that. And I think that you you're sharing how the the fear is more urgent. I've not heard someone share it that way before, and that makes complete sense because it's like trying to shut you down. You know, we're from way back, you know, our bodies are supposed to protect us from predators, right? And so we are we receive this message to move quickly because you're in danger. And that feeds into that urgency and makes so much sense.

SPEAKER_02

Nothing's urgent with the soul. What is for you can't miss you. And that's not to say that you're not gonna be guided to make some moves, but I always say to people, don't get too far ahead of yourself. Just look at what's the next inspired move? What's that one move for me to take? What's that next half step? And then you're going to be shown the next part of the path because you're co-creating with this force, you're co-creating with what I call divine consciousness or higher intelligence. You're not doing this alone.

SPEAKER_00

Absolutely. And one of the, you know, I had shared with you, I haven't announced this yet, but I shared with you before we started recording, you know, something that I am creating. And I have been um working on that for some time. And I was trying to just jump right in, and I was not being patient. And so the things were, you know, I had someone that was supposed to create this piece for me and it fell through. And then someone was supposed to do this for me and it fell through. And I eventually got the message wait, you're supposed to do that yourself because this is from your heart. And so when I when I decided that I was going to do that, instead of, you know, delegating it out to someone else, it everything has just fallen right into place. And I think, you know, that's one of those moments where I was trying. To make it go too fast, and I wasn't listening to my soul so much as my mind and the idea I need to get this out quickly because you know, good things do come to those who wait, right?

Stop Outsourcing Your Validation

SPEAKER_00

So, what is what is your thought around that when it comes to internal guidance and external validation? Because as women, we like to be reassured that, you know, whether it's we're cared for or our ideas are great or that we're going to have support behind the scenes and you know, forward-facing. How can we go forward if we don't have that external validation?

SPEAKER_02

Again, such a great question. And this is a real growth edge for a lot of women. There's a lot of women that are in my world that are feeling this because we have always been taught to seek external validation, as you say. We have been taught to look outside ourselves for the answers, for the reassurance, for the validation, for the confirmation. So we've gone through this, this, you know, probably the most part of our life being very externally focused. We've looked for those outside and those other external authorities, kind of to tell us what to do, whether we're enough, right? To marrow that back to us. I believe this is really shifting now. And particularly if you are going into this, like what I like to call this golden era and this second phase two of the life. Like it feels like the first part is the information and the education. And the second part is like, okay, now we're going, we're going ahead, we're going through. So I think in that journey, the biggest initiation is how can I first be the validation? How can I become the validation that I am seeking? And life is going to school you, particularly if you have been looking outside of yourself for that, because nobody else is actually meant to give that to you. You are the one that's meant to give that to yourself. It's cliche when you say, like, you know, you can't, nobody else can love you and you don't love yourself. But when we look at this need for something outside of us to tell us that we're enough, to tell us that it's the right time to tell us, then we're always going to have this be go be guided by an external compass. The biggest invitation of this now is soul-led of this time is soul-led authority. So coming back into allowing your soul. So what feels like truth for you to guide you on that quest, you are going to be asked to take some steps and make some moves before the evidence appears, before you have the clients, before you have the praise, before you have, like, particularly if you are an entrepreneur, particularly if you are a woman setting up your own thing. I mean, you would know, Carrie, this is like personal growth on steroids if you choose to start your own thing and do your own business, right? So you're going to be asked to walk through the fire. And that means, how can I become the evidence? How can I be the validation? We create life through our energetic resonance. We're not going out there creating. I mean, you can in the 3D world, it's a lot harder. Matter creates matter. Joe Dispenser talks about this, right? But really, if we want to do this in a more 5D way, if we really want to access our highest potential, we need to learn how to work with our energy. Our energy is everything. Our energy is our currency. So we need to understand then what is the tone, what's the signal that I'm putting out there into the universe? If it's one of seeking and looking and searching for validation, then the signal that we are sending out is one of lack. It's one of I am not enough until this happens. We can't create from lack. If we do, we're just going to create more situations that are, that are lack-based, right? We need to create from our wholeness. That's really how we create lasting abundance and lasting success is doing it from our wholeness. And the only way that we can do that is to realize and remember that we are enough, that we are worthy, that we are abundant before the evidence, without the evidence, like just as we are. And this is what we've gone through this lifetime forgetting because we came in as a beautiful, abundant soul. Like there is no baby that comes into this world and doesn't feel in that moment that they're they're worthy of being fed, right? That they're worthy of sleep and being taken care of and pushed around in a pram, like all of that. And then it gets to a point where we start to think that who I am being me as I am is not enough. And that's the biggest distortion, I think, that we that we go through until we remember and go, you know what? Ah, I'm enough. And the universe is going to test us to go show us, make the move before the evidence. Live as the version of you who's already successful, who already has the validation and the praise, because everything that we're seeking, it's not out there, it's it's here, and we've got access to that already.

Spirit Guides And Asking For Signs

SPEAKER_00

Oh, I love that. So when you talk about, you know, the feeling, you shared a little bit about the feeling of fear and calling and that type of thing. I I would love to hear you talk about the connection between your soul and the spirit guides. So for for people that are that are new to that aspect or that thought process, what would you say to them so that they can begin to maybe recognize when their guides are around them and when they're receiving messages from them?

SPEAKER_02

So first and foremost, we are in relationship with this essence or with our spiritual guides. We want to talk about spirit guides. We're in relationship with them. What they require, though, in this world, in this three-dimensional world, we are bound and they are bound by the laws of free will. So it's really important, whilst we each have these guides that are assigned to us, and we know them before we've come into this world, they can't help us and intervene and support us, guide us, like without they require our free will. It means they require our participation. So, and there can be some nuances with this, like if things are life-threatening, they're going to come in and support you when if it's not your time to go and things like that. But generally in our day-to-day, we need to work in collaboration with them. So I would say if you are beginning on this journey, is just start to dialogue, start to become aware that hang on a minute, maybe there is something else here that's leading and guiding me. You don't even need to know if it's your spirit guides or if it's your soul, the universe, whatever you want to call it. Let's put it all in the category of the unseen realm. Because really, when we get down to it scientifically, we can only perceive, we can only see and perceive less than 1% of reality. So 99.999% of reality is space, and it's we can't, we can't perceive it with our five senses. So we know that there's energy that exists in this unseen realm. So starting to, and you'll see this, everyone's had experience of synchronicities. And somebody says something to you that somebody that you were just thinking or you're thinking a thought and somebody calls or you're seeing the number plates and all these synchronicities. It's information coming through from the unseen realm. So start to dialogue with it. Start to ask, okay, show me, give me a sign. If you are here, my spirit guides. And be specific. The other day I was sitting in the river and I communicate now out loud with my guides. And I said, okay, there's something that I was going through and I wanted a sign. I said, can you give me a sign for this? And ask for a black cat. And this is a this is an important story because there's a part of our mind that goes, Well, I'm going for a walk now, so I'm probably going to walk along the path and I'm going to see a literal black cat. And spirit doesn't always work like that. So I was expecting in my humanness that I was going to continue my walk and see a black cat walk path, my walk past my path. It didn't occur like that. But I said to my guides, I want to see it in the next 24 hours. I then let it go, and that's really important part of the process is not to attach to it. I let it go. And then I think it was that evening or the next morning, it was the next day, I was on my Instagram and I'd clicked on somebody's story, and it was a woman who I know who lives in Bali, and she'd had this black cat arrive at her doorstep, and she opened the door and she was just filming through this whole story, this black cat. And I had forgotten about it from the day before, and I just knew in that moment, that's it. That's the sign. So it's not all it's literal, it can be symbolic. I could have seen a black cat on a cup or on a car driving past, but it's there when you ask for it and you ask to be in communication, and I would suggest, even if this is a decision that you're thinking about in your business, show me. Show me the way, show me what is for my highest good and my highest alignment. Ask to see a symbol or and you can this can be anything, like play around with it and start to see the way that spirit's communicating back with you. That's a good starting point.

SPEAKER_00

I did that one time with a blue feather. So there has like I I feed birds, and so there's birds different kinds all over around my home. And I rarely see blue birds every now and then. And so I I can't remember exactly what it was that I was um pondering, but I'm like, I need to see a blue feather. Please show me a blue feather. And I didn't give the time reference, but like a few days later, I'm walking not near my home, I'm somewhere else, and I look down and there's the blue feather. And I like you, I had forgotten about it um until the moment that I saw it. So I picked it up and I have a cup of feathers that I keep because I usually use a feather as you know, my sign. And so now the flip side of that, what would you say to the woman that asks for those signs, but maybe maybe she's not recognizing them, like you said, you expect that to cross your path immediately.

When You Miss The Signs

SPEAKER_00

But what if that doesn't seem to ever happen? What is the message that she might be be receiving, or is maybe her mind not open enough? Um, can you answer that and give us some guidance on it?

SPEAKER_02

This comes really back into trusting yourself in all of this. And I think you brought that up earlier around you know the validation piece as well. When we are, and many of us have been used to being in control in our lives. Like we want to know what's coming, we want to be able to try and control certain outcomes because we think our ego thinks that you know it knows what's best for us. And this is the edging God out, like we try to play God's role. When we partner with a divine, a big part of what needs to happen in that co-creative relationship is the big S-word of surrender. We have to be able to let go. We and for some, that's going to be really hard. So people will come to me saying, you know, I'm blocked, I can't see anything, I'm blocked. And usually what that is is fear. Usually what that is is not trusting in yourself. When you're not trusting in yourself, you're not trusting in source, you're not trusting that you're guided, you're not trusting that you're looked after. And there can be many, many reasons why that can occur, and it's really natural. And that's this process of homecoming is learning to trust in the divine, but also trust in yourself because we're all connected. I say it's like waves in the ocean, right? If the ocean is source, we are the waves, we're not separate from it. So when we're asking to trust in something that we can't see, and to trust that the messages are there and that they're going to come through for us, really what we're asking is, can I trust in myself as well? And for some people, that trust might not be there and it might have not been there for a really long time. And so spirit will sometimes conceal things for you if there's a deeper lesson that needs to be learned. So if we are too attached to what the outcome is, if we're too in a place of grippiness or control, and we're not doing our part to surrender. And it's often when we truly let go and allow and surrender that the guidance comes in. I'll share a little story. I was selling our yoga business. We had a yoga

Surrender Story That Changed Everything

SPEAKER_02

business of 15 years. We sold it a few years ago. At the time, we'd done all the things to try and sell this business, gone through a broker, and we thought we had someone, and we did it all. And then it got to a point, and I can really clearly remember this point where I felt like I was broken. I can recognize now the part of me that was broken was my ego, the part of me that was trying to figure it out. And it's like, it's almost like that ego part of it was like, I've used all my tools, right? Like I have done everything. I'm sure you can recognize when you get to that place of like, I don't know how to figure this out. I really we're at this time of really feeling that I know this is for us, that we're meant to do this, but I just don't know anymore how this is going to happen. And I even got on my knees and I surrendered. I had a big cry and I let go and I said to God, source, I said, like, I'm handing this over. I can't do it anymore. Like, talk about an identity death when it's it's that's the part of us. The part of us that has to die is the part of us that thought that they were playing God, that thought that they were in control. And then we hand it over to the divine. Now, when I did this and I really felt this visceral feeling of surrender in my body, something amazing happened. My intuition came through so clear, so strong. It said, pick up a pen. And I did, and I just wrote out without even thought, this name came through me. And I recognized the name as a student from the yoga and someone that I taught in teacher training and so forth. I recognized this person, and I thought, that's interesting. And then I was guided along the weeks to just open up a conversation with her, like I could feel that guidance coming through. And the conversation circled around us selling the business. And she said to me, I can't tell you how long I've wanted to buy your business for. And it was this woman. And I get what proceeded from there was a whole lot of synchronistic events, and uh the the offer that was put forward for our business was the exact figure that I had asked for in my in my prayers. Not we hadn't literally asked for that. The exact figure. That's divine alignment. That is that's nothing that I could have conjured up with my logical mind. But I had to get out of my way. Spirit's going to just let you go and do your thing and do all the things that you think you need to do until you can get to a point. And I don't believe you need to get to that breaking point where you get on your hands and knees. I believe that surrender can be part of this co-creative relationship. And I think it's one of the highest qualities. We can hand it over straight away when we feel a challenge or a problem in our life, because the solution already exists, but it doesn't exist on the same level of consciousness that the problem exists. So we have to let go of our small self, die to that in order for the solution to come through, but it exists on a higher consciousness. Wow.

SPEAKER_00

That so I like I said, that I gave I got chills from that. And, you know, it's hard to surrender, it's hard to give it all up because, like you said, we have this need to control. So to follow that, and um you know, for the woman that's listening right now who feels disconnected, stuck, or like she's outgrown her life and she knows that there's more, but isn't sure where to begin.

Where To Start When You Feel Stuck

SPEAKER_00

First of all, where would you have her start? And then, you know, to follow that, I know that a lot of times we put a timeline on our uh result. And so if it doesn't happen by a certain time, then we're like, well, this isn't for us. So, you know, where can she begin and how can we stop looking at a timeline as a measure of success?

SPEAKER_02

So I I would say initially it's doing some practices that are going to bring her more into connection with the truth of who they are, who she is. So that might be meditation, that might be walking in nature. Like we will often push ahead with the things that we think we need to do. But when we let go of all of that and when we start to commune with our soul and we start to receive that guidance, we're often guided to do things that are simpler, things that actually bring us joy, that the mind's gonna say, you can't do that, you don't have time for that. You need to work, you've got kids to pick up, you've got too much to do. And we hear this all the time. For someone that struggles to connect in that way, I would say get in touch with someone that can support you, um, like a mentor, a coach. This is the work that I do as well, that brings you into that resonance and connection with the soul. So that is the work that I do is to bring women back into. We are already like a soul, is who we are, but are we operating from that place or are we operating from our conditioning and from our small self? And most of us are still operating from our conditioning, we're operating from the story, and then we're not therefore tapped in to our infinite nature, and that's where the possibilities lie, that's where the guidance and the information comes from. So that's the first thing is to um do the practices or work with someone that can support you to come back into recognition with the divine of your divine nature and start to move from that place.

Divine Timing And Becoming Her

SPEAKER_02

Now, the timeline piece is really interesting because divine timing is what's at play, not our timing. Divine timing of God's timing. So again, and you mentioned before about surrender not being easy. No, it's not easy. Like I don't, I don't claim that surrender is easy because we do have a very grippy ego that thinks it's in control, that doesn't want to let go. We don't want to die to that. But what's on the other side of that? Surrender is possibility. Divine timing means, and and divine timing, like a lot of people will get frustrated with divine timing because they think, I want this to happen, I want this to happen by the end of the year, I want to know. Divine timing prepares you so that you become the version of you who can hold that manifestation, who can live that dream. You want it to be lasting. This is why the stats around lottery winners, most of them, many of them, I think it's like 70%, that go back to where their original level of financial abundance was within a couple of years, because their capacity has not shifted. They're still operating as the identity of them that was likely struggling with money, that was likely broke, or had that energetic ceiling. So just because more abundance comes in, if they haven't shifted their identity to become the version of them that can live that, they're not gonna hold it. And this is why I say divine timing is loving, is because life is preparing you to become the you that is ready to live that manifestation so that you can hold it, you can receive it, and it doesn't leave you and it's lasting. So how are you gonna be prepared? You're gonna be prepared through the tests and the challenges that come up. You're gonna be prepared maybe for the ways that you are to use your voice, that you are to put some boundaries in place, that you are to start saying no. Maybe you're prepared in the way of the things that actually need to leave your life first, or the way that you relate to your self-trust and self-love, like all of the things, the validation. So that, and this is why I say like manifestation, your dreams, your desires, that's just the byproducts. That's just the icing on the cake. The actual cake, the actual juice essence is who you become in that process. And you could probably look back if you're listening to this podcast, like look back to a version of you five, 10, 15 years ago, probably where you are right now and what you're doing is a dream to that person. But for the you right now, the version of you who is living that abundant life, that dream, who has what it is that you're that you desire. She's not the you right now, otherwise it would be here in your world. So the question to ask yourself is like not what do I need to do, which is always the question we ask ourselves, what do I need to do to get there? What do I need to do to make it happen? The bigger question is who do I need to become? Who do I need to become in order to be a match for that life? Because that's the signal that we send out and we magnetize in what is resonant with that signal, what is like. Yeah, so that's the that's the process. Not sure if that answers your question. That went on to a whole lot.

SPEAKER_00

It does for sure. And that's very powerful. You know, we hear a lot about manifestation, but taking it that next step, you know, not just manifesting what it is that you're you're seeking, but who do you have to become in the process in order to make it arrive? I love

Amy’s Mentoring And Soul Power

SPEAKER_00

that. So let's lead into you know what it is that you do and how you work with women, um, and you know, what it is that you do to help them, what you have available, all about yourself that you would like to share.

SPEAKER_02

Thank you. That's very kind. I am a soul embodiment mentor and a manifestation coach and teacher. So a lot of this is the work that I do. It's it's bringing people back into that remembrance of who they are and connection with their soul so that they can live how they're here to live, live their soul assignment, because we each have that as well, and to create and magnetize in the life that feels good, the abundance, like all of that is here for us. It's all available for us. But we need to understand how to be able to receive that, how to let that in, how to become the version of ourselves that lives that. And, you know, spoiler alert with that, that's that's who you came here to be. That's your true essence. You're not becoming someone else. This is this is coming back to your authentic nature because your authentic nature, that is your magnetism, right? That's your that's your she ignites. It's it's living as your most authentic nature. And so that's in a nutshell, you know, that's the work that I do with women. I do one-to-one um sessions. I can pop the details there. And I also take women through a group um coaching, mentoring program. Uh, I actually have one starting in June. Um, I'll pop the details. It's called Soul Power, and it's a three-month journey where you meet with me every week and the group of women, and it takes us through soul connection, is like the first month. So we we learn how to tap into our soul, how to expand our intuitive guidance, how to live and lead from that place of soul authority. And then we go into identity like who am I becoming? Who is the version of me that's living that life? This is how we quantum leap. And then into the magnetism, and then our our being able to be in our feminine essence and receive. So that's the program as well. I also have um my podcast called The Abundance Club. So if you love these kind of conversations, um, you can go and binge some episodes over there. So yeah, and it's it's I love, I love this work.

SPEAKER_00

Yes. So how can someone sign up to work with you?

SPEAKER_02

So my website is amiewilkinson.io. My abundance club, the abundance club is my podcast, um, and also my Instagram is also amy.wilkinson underscore. So you can connect with me. Please feel free to reach out to me, whether that's via Instagram or send me an email and let me know how you found this episode or if you have any questions or anything you want to share. I love hearing from listeners and I get back to all of the emails and messages. So I'm happy to happy to connect.

SPEAKER_00

That is amazing. And I will share all of that in the show notes, the links and everything, so that they can easily get to

What “She Ignites” Means

SPEAKER_00

you. I have enjoyed this conversation so much. And, you know, to pull it back to She Ignites, what does that mean to you in just one sentence or a few words? Um, you know, because it means something different to all of us. And I think that's what makes this mission that we're, you know, we're both on and all of my guests are on. It makes it so special and needed. Um, because we're all different and we all need something else. But at the root of it, it seems to be the same thing deep in that you know, that's making us want to become, again, who we're supposed to be, not who we are wanting to be, maybe. Um, so what does that mean to you?

SPEAKER_02

I think for me, and it's probably the theme of this conversation, is that remembrance, remembrance of who you are and why you came here. And when you feel ignited in that, you know, in your truth, in your authenticity, in your divine soul assignment, it's like, it's like your soul saying you're ready. It's go time. And it feels like that at the moment. And and I love that this is your podcast. This is the work you do, you know, the work that I do is is bringing people back into that place where they can go forward as the true authentic version of them. And what's possible when you tap into that is it's infinite. Like you you tap into infinite possibilities. So I think that's the remembering, remembering who you are and letting yourself be led by that remembrance from that place.

SPEAKER_00

That's beautiful.

The Inner Hype Song Pick

SPEAKER_00

So I have one question that I always ask my guests that is fun. You may not know this, but She Ignites has a playlist, and this uh playlist is filled with music that my guests use to answer this question. So, what is your inner hype song or the anthem that you put on when you need to channel your fiercest self?

SPEAKER_02

Oh, do you know what? Um, that is a really good question. I'm gonna say because it's just coming up, like Whitney Houston, I want to dance with somebody. Love it. I love that song. It gets me going. But I also have a really amazing Spotify playlist with a whole lot of songs that have got phenomenal affirmations through them. And I can't remember any of those songs, but I share it with the women in my groups and mentoring because it it really ignites you. I'll I'll see. I could pop the link in there for anyone that's interested. It's a really cool playlist. Yeah, yeah, I love that.

SPEAKER_00

Music, like you know, it just touches our soul. And so I got this idea. Um, I'm gonna ask everyone, and and when I share that link, you'll see that the the music that is in there is just so across the board. Yeah. Um that it is it, there's no rhyme or reason to the playlist, but it's wonderful because there's a woman behind each one of those songs. And, you know, I know uh because I know who they are. Um, I feel there's like a certain energy around that song when I listen to it, and I just love it. Um, so thank you for sharing that with me. And I will add that song and share that playlist with you. So again, I want to thank you so much for joining me for this conversation. Um, is there anything else that you would like to share or any last words?

SPEAKER_02

Uh no, just a huge thank you. I mean, I've really loved your questions and being in this space. And I think for anyone, you know, the last thing I will say is for anyone on this journey, feeling like you're alone because on this kind of awakening journey, it can feel really lonely and it can feel like you're doing it on your own. Having podcasts like this that you can listen to and communities that you can go into and just reminding yourself that, and the way that you're connecting women with the playlist, like that's so awesome because it just shows like we share our stories, we share challenges, we share similar growth edges. We're not going through this alone. And to know that if there's something that you desire, there's someone that's come before you that's manifested that and even more. And if it can happen for them, it can happen for you. If it's available to them, it's available to you. And this is, I talk about this with intuition as well. The best psychic in the world. Like if she can do it, you can do it. And keep expanding, keep showing up, keep getting in the room with people and listening to the podcasts that inspire you and that remind you of who you are.

SPEAKER_00

Absolutely. Absolutely. I think we can never absorb too much information when it comes to our inner being and um, you know, wanting to be fulfilled in life, absolutely. And I will share that I have have received that so much by having these conversations with women. And if nothing else, that's what I hope that um my my fire starters, that's what I call them, my listeners can, you know, can get from these conversations. And um, you know, I'm so glad that you were a part of it. So thank you very much. Thank you. It's a pleasure.

Final Words And Listener Reminder

SPEAKER_00

Oh my goodness, this conversation with Amy was everything. I feel like this episode is going to be one of those that women come back to when they're in that in-between space, when they know they're changing, but don't fully know who they're becoming yet. And if you're listening right now and you felt this in your chest, that pull, the nudge, that quiet voice saying, There's more for me. This is your reminder, you are not lost, you are not behind, you are becoming. And sometimes becoming requires burning down everything that no longer fits. Well, that's it for today, babe. But your fire is just getting started. If you're feeling lit up, go ahead and hit subscribe, leave a spicy little review, and tag me at sheIgnites CandleCo. So I can hype you up. Remember, the world doesn't need a quieter version of you. It needs the bold, blazing, fully expressed view. Until next time, keep glowing, keep going, and never, ever dim your damn light.
