In today's episode I delve deeper into the realisations of where the last 10 years has been taking me

For years I thought the dancing was the transformation. Now I think it was just the doorway and I'm coming to realise that the jigsaw I've always spoken about is becoming a reality

Hello and welcome back. So today's episode is it's something I've kind of touched on before when I spoke about the change and the transition that the business is going through. But I've been doing a lot more delving, if you like, into where it's actually all going and unpicking a lot of the things that I've been doing for the last 10 years. And this has all come about because doing some work on my website. Um shout out to the awesome Regina. Um, I'll tag Regina in the in the show notes. Um so I'm redoing her website course. So I did this. So the live round was kind of around just after Christmas sort of time. Um and I kind of I'd started some bits and then I decided to change my business. It's like, well, hang on, I need to work out what's happening. Um, and the beauty of it is I get live access. Live access, lifetime access. Um, so redoing it now, I'm in a obviously a completely different headspace, and part of it is obviously looking at your idle client. It's such a buzz phrase. But what I love about the way Regina does it is it's not about demographics, so it's not about gender, it's not about age and their hobbies and their interests, like that comes into it, but it's more about the psychographics. What do they feel? What do they struggle with? Which is perfect for what I now do to really delve into the sort of person that will benefit from my movement sessions, as much as everyone can benefit, there is a particular type of person, naturally, that will be more drawn to it than others. And in doing some of this unpicking, I have realised that as much as dance is the thing I've always done, and to an extent is the thing I will always do, there is still going to be some dance elements to my business. I'm not completely undoing everything I've done for the last 15 plus years. Um it's just not the main focus. And I've realized that dance is actually the doorway, and has always been the doorway. And I've often spoken about everything being a jigsaw puzzle. I have realized that the jigsaw puzzle is finally slotting into place. Um, so over the last 10 years, I have always had an element of network marketing in my business. If you don't know what network marketing is, where have you been living? Um, network marketing is the likes of Avon, Body Shop, Unique. You've heard me talk about Auraflame and Viva MK and Scent and Colour Boutique. There's lots of companies, and over the last 10 years, I have done a lot. In fact, I've done a few of the ones that I mentioned before. Um, and I'm with three at the minute. Although one of them isn't your typical network marketing. Um, so network marketing is obviously selling, so selling to customers and also building a team, building that residual income. Obviously, you still have to do the work, and there's usually requirements, and each company will have things different, but I've always had something to start with, it was because of the money. I thought it was my easy win. Um as I've progressed, I've realized that no, it's not the money, and if I build a team, great, but it's not my be-all and end all focus. I have very limited time with working full-time. Um yeah, it it you've got to be there to be the leader. So if I attract someone that wants to join me and and work, then great. If not, also great. Um but now I'm realizing that actually the three companies that I'm aligned with massively underpin and help the wider focus of the business, so everything is about joy and confidence and connection and being you from the inside out with obviously the movement. So then Auraflame comes in to help you with your integrated skincare and wellness because we've got our collagen, we've got our skincare, they work side by side, we've got our wellness products, we've got our makeup products, perfume, fragrance, hair-like full-on beauty and wellness. It supports that. Viva MK, yes, it does some of that, but actually, it's more the home organization side of it. You're getting connected to you, the last thing you then need is a messy home. And I'm not saying we all have to have perfect show home homes. Well, they can be lived in, but they can be organized, and not this organized chaos. So that's where Viva sits in. And then scent and colour, why not make your home smell amazing? Like, honestly, my cupboard downstairs just smells incredible, absolutely incredible. So they're all underpinning and supporting my main focus rather than as they've been over the last few years, seeming like a separate business and not really fitting. So, jigsaw puzzle. And then back to the website. Um another thing that I've really kind of grasped or come to realise as I've been delving into kind of working out who it is that wants this and and working out the messaging from it is the trying to think of the word without going too woo. Um the well, the only way I can describe it is a tree, and then it really hit me. I have a tree tattoo on my back. When I first got the tree tattoo, it was a reminder to me that I could be grounded whilst the world around me was falling and crumbling. It came because I decided to go self-employed right at the point that my home life then was turned upside down as my parents got divorced, and there's never a good time for that to happen, but just starting a brand new career, it it massively threw me. Um, I had and still have identity crisis because of it. Um I was very much a daddy's girl, and that's as much as I'm gonna say on this public platform. Um so it was my reminder that life will throw things at you, as it did for the next few years after that, and still does. But I could be grounded and rooted and deal with everything else up top, but I still had my grounded. I've done a lot of somatic work, um, and I've always wanted to try and bring this in, but I didn't want to necessarily do the somatic practitioner certifications as much as I have done a couple of them. I didn't want to feel the need to do the certification to do the work or to put the work out there, um, and that's nothing against certifications, they have their place, just they're not always needed, or they they feel like they're needed to do the thing, and actually I've come to realise that I can use the somatic principles, which is enough for the work that I'm doing, which has then given my tree another meaning, and forgetting that the tree was even there, um everything is connected. So, yes, I've got the jigsaw puzzle, the pieces are slotting together, but the tree movement is the trunk. It's the base, it's the groundwork, it's the core of everything I do, the offshoots, the first dance lessons, the hen parties, the aura flame, the Viva MK, the scent and colour boutique, whatever else I suddenly throw in other branches that all intertwine together just and that realization that all of the twists and turns that I've done in the last ten years I've had the reminder on my back all along. They've been gradually nudging me to this to come back to this. Somatics is what got me through my first year of uni, allowing me to move and dance when I couldn't because I didn't know that my ligament was detached from my female head. But somatics is that thing that allowed me to to be and move freely. That's what I'm bringing to everyone else. So the reminder has literally been on my back, kind of going, hello. I then added um music notes and butterflies because I love butterflies. Um, I don't like them flapping around my head. My other half does not understand that I don't want to go to a butterfly van. I'm like, because I want to look at them from a distance, they are very pretty, but not flapping around my head. Thank you very much. Nope. Um, and I believe, and this is very woo, which is very perfect for all the somatic work. Um, I believe we all have an inner butterfly, that we are all a caterpillar trying to navigate our way and find our thing that just makes us ha. Um, and I'm sorry if you're only listening to this and can't see me, but I've just you can probably hear it in my voice. Imagined that I've just become a beautiful butterfly, and that's what I believe you all are. And for ages I used the hashtag release the butterfly. Like, release the shell, stop hiding, worrying what people are gonna think, trying to get it perfect because I'm sorry, but perfect doesn't exist. Um, other than in Mary Poppins, who is practically perfect, um, because my brain just went down a musical theatre tangent then. Um, yeah, like we are all trying to navigate our way and find our butterfly moment. And yeah, in doing this website homework, my butterfly moment has been on my back all along, kind of guiding me and pushing me to here. So that's my lesson for you today. In a short and kind of random way, the jigsaw pieces coming together, it all connects. The tree, the movement is the core, everything else I do, the offshoots, they're all connected. And we're all butterflies. We're all trying to find our thing that makes us magical. And if you think of a butterfly, every butterfly is different. You have different breeds, if that's the right word to describe a butterfly. Um, you have different breeds, but even within that they have their own uniqueness. So my tip for you is spend some time. Heck, go outside when it's not raining, or even if it is raining, like just I've done it before, it's it's incredible. Um and find just five minutes to be and sit, really sit, take some deep breaths, kind of tune out the noise, ignore the ticking clock behind you, the TV that's on in a in a different room, take some deep breaths. If you need to put your hand on your heart and feel really into you, and then think of all the things you have done in your life, and they may seem really small, but they have gradually been guiding you on your way, and within that you will find your unique butterfly moment. And I'm not saying we all have to go and run businesses, there will be something within your job, your life, that lights you up. That's your butterfly moment. And if you do want to do a business and you're like, actually, where do I start? Hop in my inbox because I have absolutely been winging it. Um, my good friend Taz and Asher, they were talking about winging it on their podcast this week, and uh yeah, definitely winging it. There's an element of strategy to it, but definitely winging it, just having fun with it. So go and be the butterfly. Until next time.
