From Battlefields to Bytes: Geoff Weber on Preserving Memories with Heirloom
Join Bill and his guest Geoff Weber. Geoff is a combat veteran, entrepreneur, and the founder of Heirloom—a Charleston-based tech company helping Americans preserve and protect their most meaningful memories. Geoff joined the U.S. intelligence community directly after the 9/11 attacks and spent over 20 years serving the nation. He deployed to every major hotspot, served overseas as a U.S. attaché in Russia with his family, and concluded his career working for the Director of National Intelligence, where he had the epiphany that would become Heirloom.
Founded after his retirement in 2022, Heirloom (https://heirloom.cloud) now serves consumers, industries, and government agencies across the country— digitizing everything from VHS tapes and film reels to fragile documents and legacy hard drives. The company also offers secure, cloud-based storage built for generational preservation. The biggest challenge? So many people are still struggling with outdated media, unaware that a solution like Heirloom is right here to help. Geoff is grateful for the opportunity to share the story on this podcast and connect with fellow revolutionaries shaping the Lowcountry and beyond.
