Ace Johnson, a retired detective and widower, spends his days watching TV and feeding ducks at the park until a chance encounter with troubled teen Lily Ricotta. Lily reactivates Ace's detective skills, sending him on a new case, one bigger than any in his professional career. Along the way, Ace finds a new love, makes new friends, and rediscovers his purpose.
