I'm a graduate of the University of Kentucky with a BA in English. My creative writing instructors included Kentucky writing greats Gurney Norman and Ed McClanahan. (Google them)

Following college, I served as a newspaper reporter and editor, as well as a magazine editor-in-chief. I have written freelance articles for numerous local, regional, and national publications. 

I returned to fiction a few years ago, publishing two mystery novels thus far and working on a third. This podcast is based on my first book, Ace of Hearts. I always focused on character development for all of my writing work. I believe a story isn't interesting without interesting characters.
