Social media highly impacts the way we think and behave in our everyday life. Currently, many of us spend on average 2 hours and 23 minutes scrolling through social media on a daily basis. Virtual platforms like TikTok and Instagram can be as addictive as a drug that has negative repercussions on our attention and concentration levels as well as mental states. Delaying immediate gratification, implementing mindfulness practices, and living in a spirit of gratitude acts as a step forward towards finding a state of equilibrium. In a world that is overstimulated, finding a sense of normalcy by "savoring the moment" and embracing what gives us true joy and a sense of happiness is a must. The change starts with you!
